I chose OTHER as I like both the AU where events change from the books, because of a new character or that the AU is completely different, and I love fantasy elements. I tend to like things with family saga themes, so its a mix of all the above that I enjoy.

I'm not a fan of AU, mostly because a lot of writers can't depict the canon characters like they are originally, typically. Some can do this very well, but the storyline itself often doesn't interest me anyway. Idk why even. I'm a weirdo. Your story, from what I keep slowly reading, is well done and does well with most canon characters, though.
I think drama and horror are my favorites. Horror is very rare to see for Warriors, but I sort of made my own work with Born of Blood, and I'm a huge horror nut, so I gotta have it. Drama seems to be what I write best, and I guess when reading fanfics here I tend to gravitate towards the drama genre a lot more than others.

I've been reading Warriors fanfics for almost 10 years! I started on fanfiction.net then migrated over to AO3. Then for the last year I've read a few fics on this site.

I bought Bluestar's prophecy at Costco in 2009 and read it, then put it away for several years until when searching for stuff for my Kindle in 2014, came across a Warrior's super edition-may have been about Yellowfang. Forget the exact title. But then I had to reread Bluestar's prophecy, and downloaded all the Warrior books and read them all over the winter of 2014. In Aug of 2014 I joined the old forums and began writing NEW BLOOD, and moved to this Forum with everyone when the old place went down in 2016. I still read all the warrior's books as they come out, since my NEW BLOOD tales follow the general timeline, with "fixed points in time" as Dr Who always said, "could not be changed". For me that meant who lies and dies, and certain events like floods, storms, drought etc. In NEW BLOOD, cats that die in the books eventually die in NEW BLOOD, but sometimes its different, such as old Purdy and Spiderleg. In the books, they went out with a sad whimper, barely a footnote, but in NEW BLOOD they go out as a warrior should. Working canon is a great exercise in character development and character consistency as its difficult to do so with other author's characters! So one has to pay attention when reading to get the gist of each character when incorporating them into Fics. I learned that while writing Star Trek fic many many moons ago. I love working my oCs into that world and the changes they inspire or cause are fun to write. Always hated how the Clans caved so easily to Darktail. Phantomstrike takes care of that problem LOL

For your poll: I did the calculations and I've been a member of the forums for 7 years ... But reading it for 9 years ~.
Which means I've also known a lot of writers on here for around 5 years.
You I've known for ... 3?

I know I knew you like ... half a year after I met Phantom and Sapphire I believe. But no one should quote me on anything, because I don't have a head for math and my exact date memory is beyond fuzzy.
Heh heh. Nah, I'm just up there with Shadow, Dingo, and Tuesday. I thiiiiiiiink they've know each other for a year longer and then I came along as an actual poster instead of lurker. So who knows which of us is older. XD

You're still the most seasons vet on this thread, at least. But I gotta say, I'm surprised everyone has been here so long. Even looking at the poll right now, everyone who's voted has been reading Warriors fanfics for 4+ years! That's insane but so awesome!

True enough, true enough. Warriors has been with me almost longer than I've been alive. Now that's a fearsome and amazing thought. XD
I know! That's such a long time to be with a fandom. But really awesome because I remember half of the current forumers being struggling writers ... and they've stuck around long enough to get the attention they deserve and it's just amazing.

I really feel for most writers and artists when they put a lot of heart and effort into their work but don't get much credit. It really is awesome to see them get the attention they deserve, you are very right. And, I am not lying when I say that you were a HUGE help to me and my writing, being there when I first started out on here. And I appreciate that greatly. thank you so much, Mint!

As do I, as do I. Hence why I try to cheer on as many as possible in the hopes that they will be able to stick it out and improve and continue doing what they love to do. <3 I love your writing. You have such full and vivid characters.
