Deal with it But I gotta know, what's your answer? I love American shorthairs, since I have two myself, but I also think Egyptian Maus are so pretty. I'd love to own one.

I picked Egyptian Mau! I love how elegant they look, like they're sculptured statues.

phantomstar57 I am sad I forgot to put them on the poll. But they are very elegant and fluffy. mintedstar/fur🦇 Oh, yes. Fun fact: they're the fastest breed of cat.

The females are elegant, fluffy and in some cases, like my Jaja as cute as a stufffed animal! The males are big, strong, athletic but elegant is not a term I'd ever use with Khan, Kai or Darwin! LOL But Warlocke was very elegant and regal.

I always found any long-furred cat to be rather elegant and beautiful. I don't know, it's just something about them, no matter what the breed. Maine coons always also seemed pretty regal to me, too. Perhaps it's the size combined with the long fur.

Perhaps it's the size combined with the long fur. They are photogenic and can be such LOL Warocke always looked so regal when he wasi n repose. I also have a special fondness for Siamese, Abbysinians and Bomboas. Phantom has Siamese ancestry, my neighbor's cat Zephy who I cared for was part Abysinian and my Orion I'd bet the farm is Bombay, or at very least half.

I have a soft spot for Abbysinians too.
I like all breeds though, so who do I think I'm kidding?

I've only ever had American shorthairs, but I do have one cat now who is long-haired. He's also a tabby, and we found him as a stray. he came when called, so he definitely was raised with people for a while. I think he's half persian, due to his long coat, mostly. Not fond of persians, but I love my kitty. But let's face it, all cats are freaking great.

We always had regular strays. No clue if any of them had anything in their linage and if they did it wasn't anything like a half or quarter or so forth.

Strays are still amazing cats and full on secrets. My grandma has a persian, and he is the fluffiest cat I have ever seen in my life. Like, you can practically stick your whole hand in the fur before you reach his actual body.

Like, you can practically stick your whole hand in the fur before you reach his actual body. LOL sounds like my Darwin and what Kai was like in winter pelts! On both however the shorty hair on the shoulders is where one could touch the body fairly easy but Darwin becomes a big wall of fur and in spring he sheds tribbles and tribbles of hair. Orion is always trying to take darwin's sleeping place away and jumps on him and tries to grab the back of his neck, but Darwin is too large and just sits while Orion gets merely a mouthful of long grey hair LOL.

We've had a total of three cats. One long haired tortoiseshell and two short hair - one a spotted tabby and the other a jet black cat.

phantomstar57 Sounds about right, lol. Darwin knows he can't be touched with all that fur. If you could, maybe show some pics of your kitties sometime? They sound awfully cute. mintedstar/fur🦇 Jet black cats are my favorite. Never had one, but I love the way they look, and they're so misunderstood.

I recommend getting an imgur account, because then you can upload public or private pics, and use the 'direct link' option from it to paste links into the link space the'insert image' icon here gives you. That's what I do. Also, she is very beautiful!

Would be so much easier if I could just upload from my computer tho :-)

It would, but the site just doesn't like that, I suppose. Either way, I'd love to see your kitty cats.

I had a black long-haired ... I say that, but she was the same tortoiseshell I mentioned too. She was just this mostly black cat but with hairs all over the place in so many different colors - but she still looked black.

My JaJa is predominantly black with a red spot on her muzzle, and red strands in spots, with white feet. Your girl sounds like JaJa but with more black!
