What do you think of these characters:
Lucky
Bella
Mickey
Bruno
Martha
Sweet
Alpha (Dog/Wolf)
Storm
Lucky's all right. He's an interesting character, that's for sure. He was originally a Lone Dog whose best qualities weren't brought out until other dogs came around. While other people think he's out of character in the second arc, I just see a dog who could be more nasty than we thought he could be. It adds a layer to his character.
Bella is my favorite character. She's complex, has character development, and overall, I wouldn't change a thing. She starts off as this sassy wannabe leader who makes dumb decisions, but she grows from it. While she can be straight up nasty and mean, she's also compassionate and a light of reasoning in a pack who is all so quick to turn on each other. I love her and her relationship with Arrow and her relationship with Lucky and Storm. When she said Storm was like a younger sister to her, I was so happy. I was also happy about her interactions with Lucky in regards to
The Broken Path. This is the strongest I've felt about an Erin Hunter character and I'm so, so excited to see her in the book that gets released
tomorrow! Woot woot!
I like Mickey and I actually shipped him with both Bella and Lucky at one point. He's this soft and caring character that you can't help but care about. If he dies, I riot.
I like Bruno. While he has a black-and-white outlook on life, you can tell he's trying to find a new outlook. He's an old, former police dog, and you know what they say: you can't teach an old dog new tricks. However, I give him kudos for at least trying and apologizing to Storm for all that he's done and said about her before he sadly gets murdered.
I'm looking at you Breeze. I know you murdered him in cold blood.I'm neutral on Martha. I've never been able to muster up anything strong. I like how motherly she is and it's cool how we get to see her in the form of the River-Dog in the newest series. I've always liked the religion of these dogs. It's so much more complex and interesting to read about than that of the warrior cats.
Sweet's my third favorite character. She's well-developed and one of the most relatable characters in the series. She starts off as this cowardly dog who seems to run at the sight of her own shadow, but when things start going wrong and she's being accused of things she didn't do, she stands up and it brings out strong qualities. I see a lot of myself in her and even though she, like Lucky, is being difficult in this new series, I can't bring myself to dislike her.
I dislike Alpha, but I won't deny I feel bad for him and on how his life went into a complete circle. He was the half-dog, the outcast, and his "pack" abandoned him when he ended up saving his wolf half-brother. Ironic that Calamity said he'd grow to hate her if he stayed, but he ended up growing to hate all Fierce Dogs when he left. He then left the pack he created out of what I think is paranoia?
Storm is my second favorite. I constantly refer to her, Bella, and Sweet, as Lucky's three girls because they're usually the ones rescuing him and they're the dogs that Lucky spends most of his time with. Storm's both mentally and physically strong and I like muscular female characters because they're just so cool. She's, in my opinion, a better narrator than Lucky and I get more invested when it comes to reading in her pov. Both her and Arrow deserve better.
