///That will work. Should the skirmish with the King's men happen then? Lol we need to come up with names for the two armies still xD But yeah I think it would make sense if maybe the thing at the camp happened, and then maybe Destrian goes with the scout group to the White Woods///

///Yep, sounds about right. xD Hm yeah the Royal Army sounds fine. What are your ideas for the Rebels though? I can't think of much... maybe they call themselves the Peacebringers or something to that effect? idk, that particular name is a bit lengthy lol
That's what I was thinking as well. If you want, you can go ahead and do the time skip, if not, I'll write a bit of a summary of what Des was doing/thinking during that time///

(I like it, though it is lengthy. Hmm... *scrolls through name generators* Tell me if anything leaps out at you from these suggestions. The Keepers, Peace Corps, The Last Division (although that sounds more like the name of their war than the army), The Wardens (throw some Dragon Age references in there), The Myriad, The True Order. It's hard to find any good names, but maybe one of those will fit/give us inspiration.
Okay, I'll skip!)
Three days had come and gone. Life in the camp continued on as usual. Patrols were sent out and training resumed. All in all, nothing really happened since Destrian joined the camp. Not that anyone was complaining, that is. No action was better than being attacked. It was just after breakfast when Thayer made her way to the medical tent to meet with their newest, if not unofficially, member. Days ago, their commander had made the arrangements for Destrian to share a tent with a another group of men who had sought shelter with them a month ago. They had room for one more, and seemed like friendly enough people. Now, Thayer was to bring Destrian to the tent to allow him to get settled in.
When she arrived at the infirmary, she walked inside. "Good morning," she called to both Túel and Destrian cheerfully.

///Hmm, what if they were called Order Prime, but everyone just used the nickname 'Primers'? Now that I type that I actually kinda like it even more lol///
The three days until Destrian really experienced anything more that was new seemed to last even longer with nigh nothing to entertain himself. Yesterday Túel had allowed him to do a few exercises with his leg, testing it with some weight but mostly just working the muscles to ensure they were mending properly. Apparently the burning pain was a good sign, something about the nerves, but Destrian just wished it didn't hurt like bloody fire and that he could walk again already.
Laying awake on his cot, counting the stitches in a seam in the ceiling of the tent, Destrian was finding it hard to control the urge to just get up and try to prove he could walk fine alone. Only two other patients had stayed for the entire duration he had been in the infirmary so far; one with a similar wound to his but in the body, and another with a rare sickness, whose fever had broken in the middle of last night, meaning not much more care would be needed.
Hearing Thayer's voice, Destrian sat quickly up, grinning. Pretty much the only exciting times of the day were breakfast, when Thayer came to check on him. She had come once at supper as well, but that was just to tell him that the search team that was planned to go to the White Woods was being postponed due to one of their trackers being injured in an accident. "Morning, Thayer!" Destrian greeted, swinging his legs over the side of the cot; Túel hadn't specifically told him to not do that, but the frown she gave made him feel like he was managing to break a rule in some way. It only caused a slight bit of pain anyways, and he himself figured the movement was good for it. "Sunshine-y day?" He asked her, taking in her mood.

(That could work! It has a good ring to it. ^^ )
It was a good sign to see him so energetic this early in the day. From what he had said yesterday, his wound was healing properly, and he was beginning to start using his injured leg more and more. Of course, Túel never liked any of her patients to do too much at once. As cold and distance as the healer could act sometimes, she had a genuine concern and care for all of her patients. Whenever she couldn't save one, it was a huge blow to the Elf. However, Destrian was on the fast track to health once more, and Thayer was sure she could take him from the physician's care without too many stern looks.
"More sun out there than I've seen all week," The woman replied, stopping by his cot. "How's the leg? Able to fight back now whenever Túel tries to make you drink some bitter concoction?"
"Which reminds me," Túel called over in her dry voice, "I have a potion that might help fix that smart mouth of yours."
Thayer laughed. "Can't fix what's not broken," she replied, giving Destrian a playful wink.

///Cool, if you have more ideas I'm open, otherwise Order Prime it is!///
Shaking his head, Destrian gave a chuckle. "Better every day," he replied. "Anything fun for today? Any fools challenge you in archery, or Royal soldiers overestimate their armor?" He figured neither was likely, but ti was somewhat constructive for his mental and physical health to stay creative and imaginative as he could whilst cooped up.

Destrian was in a half-crouch with excitement at the mention of another tent before he sat back on the bed, the pained frown only slightly disrupting his smile. "I might need something to help me walk, but I think I'm ready," he replied. Though he hadn't given a real answer of whether or not he would become an official member of Order Prime, this meant that he was as least a permanent resident of the camp, if still technically a refugee. He could live with these people just fine. Fighting for them... he pushed the thought away for the moment.

"I'm sure Túel has a crutch or two lying around you can borrow," Thayer said, looking over to the healer.
"I do, but I don't think he should be going anywhere for another day or two," the Elf responded, walking over with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Not that we don't trust your medical expertise, Túel, but Destrian has been here for three days. He's probably stir crazy by now. If it seems that he can't hold out, I'll bring him right back. I promise."

"Come on, please? If I don't move about more, how will I gain the strength to walk again?" He shrugged, and pushed himself up again, putting his weight on his good leg as he reached for Thayer's arm for balance. "Give me a crutch, or even just a staff, please?"

Thayer quickly stepped to his side as he rose once more to his feet, offering her arm for him to take. Even if he was a good foot taller than she was, the woman was still able to support his weight. "He's got a point," she said, inclining her head in the healer's direction. "And don't you want him out of your hair as soon as possible? Otherwise, you'll have to put up with his complaining about being bored."
Túel stared at the duo for a long moment through narrowed eyes. Thayer was stubborn on her own, but with the man's added help in the matter, she really couldn't put her foot down. He did need to get up and move around, she just didn't like being ganged up on and forced into agreeing to medical advise by people who knew nothing about it. But eventually, the Elf sighed and turned the back of the tent. Stored out of the way where no one would trip over them was where she kept the crutches and other supplies that were used on a daily basis. When she returned, she passed a wooden crutch roughly the height Destrian would need to him. "If your pain increases or something doesn't feel right, I want you to come straight back here," Túel ordered.

Destrian gave a grin when the Elf returned with the crutch. "I will, I promise," he replied, settling his weight onto the new support, shifting his feet and testing his balance. It wasn't perfect, but if it got him moving around, he was beyond happy.
Turning to Thayer, he nodded, a sort of standing bow, eyes shining. "Lead the way, m'lady."

Destrian followed, though it took a few practice steps for him to get the hang of walking with the crutch. "Absolutely!" he replied, looking around the camp as they exited the tent. It was a fair sized camp, and apart from getting a better idea of where he really was, it would be nice to have a little extra time moving about. His leg hurt a little bit from the movement, true, but as long as he kept his weight off of it, it was fine.

Destrian followed, glad he was able to move relatively easy with the help of the crutch. True, it wasn't like he was running, but he was moving about and it felt good. He looked around at the tents as they walked, but also listened to what Thayer was saying. Although not fancy in any way, most all the tents seemed well kept, and they were in neat rows, organized well within the camp. There were plenty of people moving about, but it wasn't really very crowded. And everyone seemed to have something to do, women washing and sewing, men carrying crates and barrels sometimes; Destrian even saw a few children running along carrying bundles of things on errands.
"I believe I'll figure something out," he said with a smile. His eye caught a group of soldiers moving between the tents nearby. They moved with purpose, each with either sword or bow or spear, and two even had round shields on their backs. He watched with interest for a moment, his appreciation for their visible training weighing against something that he realized was hate for the war. Lost in his thoughts for a moment, he didn't realize he had stopped walking.

Thayer, however, did. She had gone a couple of steps before she lost his presence beside her. Turning back, she saw Destrian staring at something. She followed his gaze to where the soldiers were walking away. With the amount of people in the camp, it was impossible to know everyone she fought beside. However, there were a couple of familiar faces that passed by. "It's pretty neat to think people from all over the kingdom have gathered together for one cause," she commented. "No one asked them to fight. They came here of their own will, because they all want the same things. It's a shame the Perrin can't see that if you give the people what they need, you don't need fear to have their loyalty."

Giving a small thoughtful noise, Destrian nodded and moved back to beside Thayer. "Yeah," he agreed. "It's amazing to see people working together like this." He hoped they could carry on with touring the camp, but he wasn't sure what Thayer was thinking now, and his own thoughts were still a bit jumbled.

"Sometimes I even wonder why we still have kings," Thayer mused as she continued leading Destrian. "We don't have one here, and yet things are running smoothly. Yeah, we check in with the ones in charge, but they don't give us any rules to follow that aren't common sense. Things are great here, you know, aside from the war."
The two of them finally broke away from the neat rows of the soldiers tents and into the refugee area. The differences were few, but enough to distinguish between the two sections. Where the soldiers' tents were set in neat rows, the refugee tents were pitched in a more relaxed fashion. Some were grouped in little half circles sharing one campfire, like a small community. Others were more solitary. Yet everything seemed to flow in a natural way that felt more social than formal.

Destrian tried to pay attention better now, and listen to what Thayer was saying. He had to agree, this camp did seem... nice, was a way to put it. Safe, compared to the world outside. Friendly, full of friendly people. Organized, well kept... He liked it here, he had to admit.

Grinning, Destrian shrugged. "I'll have to meet them sooner or later, but now's as good as ever." He looked around curiously. Nothing really set this tent apart from any of the others in looks. The tent was standard sized; the campfire was only coals currently, and not much sat around to give a hint about who the men were who stayed here.

(If you want to be one or two of the other guys, feel free to be.)
Walking over to the entrance of the tent, Thayer knocked on the wooden support set by the door. "Anyone awake in there?" she called out, not too loudly in case someone was asleep. No sense to be rude. But, as it turned out, one one man was currently inside.
At her called, a dwarf of four feet and 3 inches appeared in the doorway. Course black hair was tied back with a cord, the same fashion as his long beard which reached past his chest. Watery grey eyes stared up at the newcomers with a neutral expression. "Hullo," the man greeted. He recognized Thayer as a soldier by the light leather armor the woman wore, but he didn't know who the man she was with was. "What brings you two here?"
Thayer gave a polite half bow at her waist. "I don't mean to disturb you, but I was told to bring the man who is to fill the empty bed in the tent."
"Ah, yes, a page told us you'd be coming," the dwarf responded with a nod, turning his gaze up to the other man.

Destrian gave as much of a bow as he could with the crutch as the Dwarf turned to him, bending and straightening awkwardly but managing to keep a formal look on his face. "I'm Destrian," he introduced himself. "It would be a pleasure to share your tent, if you'll have me," he gave a friendly smile, and half-glanced at Thayer out of the corner of his eye. He'd only met a handful of dwarves before; there had been none living in Whitewater, and relatively few visitors to the village of any kind.

Destrian grinned and nodded. "Thanks, Bumor. Do you know when the others from this tent will be back?" He was somewhat excited to meet them now as well, and glanced over at Thayer. "How much time do you have, Thayer? We could take my tour now if you need to be going soon, and maybe the others will be back here by then?"

(Lol, it's okay! I completely understand. If you can't reply everyday, don't worry about. Just post when you can. There's no rush. ^^ )
"Oh, they'll be back this evening," Bumor replied. "They always have things keeping them busy. Always something different everyday. But you'll like them. We're a civilized bunch, for the most part." He gave a chuckle that suggested that things have been known to get a bit more rowdy than civilized, but if the good condition of the tent was any indicator, things never got too bad.
Thayer smiled and turned to Destrain at his question. "I have plenty of time. I made sure in advance to be taken off patrols and work schedules for today to show you around. If you're up for it, I don't see why we can't take that tour now. Granted, we might not be able to see everything, but you'll get the idea of things."
(Can't wait! You don't have to take both if you don't want to, so if you just want one, that's fine! As for the attack, later that day would work. Maybe at midday they could be going to get lunch when the Royal Soldiers are led in. They timed it so that a lot of them would be gathered at one place so it made their job to thin down the numbers easier, and the both of them would be in the middle or to the side of the action.)

"Then I'll see them this evening I suppose," Destrian replied to Bumor. "I haven't gotten a chance to be shown around yet," he explained to the Dwarf, "So I think I'll take that chance now. Pleasure to meet you though. I look forward to being in this tent." He looked back to Thayer then with a grin, "Well, what are we waiting for?"
///Sounds good. I think I'll introduce the other two during the fighting; I'm concocting their characters in notepad as soon as I post this, and I think I'll have a fun way to introduce them. Lunch sounds about right though. I'll let you lead with the action probably, and we'll see how it goes///

(Life is more important than rping. I understand. If you lost interest, than I know you would tell me instead of just disappearing. So don't worry about it.)
"Go on and do that," Bumor told him, nodding slowly. "Best to move about while you're up. You sit down, your bones will get stiff, making future movement more sore than it needs to me. I was about to head out myself, but I thought to stay here and wait for you. Go and enjoy yourself. I'll be sure to have a pot of my best seared beef stew ready for us at the end of the day."
"I'll be sure to have him back in plenty of time for that," Thayer said, grinning and turning back the way they came. "Where would you like to see first, Destrian?"
(Alright, fine by me. ^^ )
