what site are you using to upload? if it's imgur, make sure to take the code that's on top of the image in the top right not the one on the side, that one will not work with BBC

remember to add the .png to the end that's what I thought you'd be missing; it's a easy thing to forget. cx

OOC:Saying
[img src="URL HERE"] Also works, and saves space if you're trying to put images in your signatures. Plus it reads a bit more logically, in my opinion. Since BB Code automatically adds the "\" in its tags, hence why [hr]
work without having to close them on themselves.

In the subject box (thread title) I've noticed that some people have different fonts and even symbols in it. How do I do that?

copy/paste from other sources
there's fancy text generators online, symbol databases I would be careful going too crazy because mobile might not recognize the symbols and then they won't be able to read ur titles it'll just be boxes
there is no way to insert fonts and symbols using just proboards. copy/paste is your friend

Hey Brownie! I've got two questions: 1: My picture keeps repeating when I insert it. I want to stretch it out to make it bigger but it just repeats like this 2: I would love to learn how to do the scroll-y thing that some people do with their pictures!

Hey Brownie! I've got two questions: 1: My picture keeps repeating when I insert it. I want to stretch it out to make it bigger but it just repeats like this 2: I would love to learn how to do the scroll-y thing that some people do with their pictures! The quality isn't great for that but this is the best you can do. You can mess with the height maybe to make it look nicer, or make a box that's not as wide so it doesn't have to stretch as far. [img src="https://imgur.com/UvhTwSc.jpg" style="width:100%;height:250px;"] And I see your problem with the mirroring when putting it inside a box. I think you may have to resize the image externally, upload that file to imgur and use that. The background Itself cannot (to my knowlege) be modified outside of inserting the url (you can't transform the image before it becomes a background layer; the reason I could modify above is that it does the transformations AFTER inserting the image). I might be able to patch together some sort of solution, but it would be easier to take your local file into a program like gimp and resize it to the size necessary. The downside to this is that it will fit your monitor, but it may look poor on other resolutions or mobile (hence why I avoid using image backgrounds that aren't just patterns/textures that I can use % modifiers on) The raw code for using a background image to "stick" is this: [div style="background:url(here); background-attachment:fixed;"[/div] And putting things on top: [div style="background:url(https://imgur.com/UvhTwSc.jpg);background-attachment:fixed;height:250px;padding:10px;"] [div style="overflow:auto;width:90%;padding:20px;height:200px;"]Text here[/div][/div] (I would also recommend making the scroll box have a background with some transparency, so it's not just text on a busy photo. I don't actually remember how manipulate background opacity tho, but that shouldn't be too hard to figure out)

Brownie Simple, dumb inexperienced question coming from a noob in coding. What code would I use to make an image a link? Nvm it’s all good

I would use Imgur but I’ve got a school device and it’s blocked.

✧˚ · . ~ Astra`Rise ~ . · ˚✧ yo! HTML coding is hard to start but super rewarding to learn Here's a tutorial I started making to teach the basics; this would be where I would start. After that, I'd go through and quote other people's post header codes and then start messing about with the numbers and see what each of the functions do (drafts are a good place to do this!). There's a lot you can learn simply by looking at other people's code and trying to figure out how it works! That's how I learned and I think it's the best way to truly understand how to write your own code. If you need help finding people's code that is clean (that is, has good coding practices) to learn from, lmk. I can take a peek and find some people that you won't pick up bad habits from heh
