yo I haven't been around here in a while but I need motivation to do character development so I thought getting some roleplay in might help with that? idek
anyways I'm looking for something low-key / low-maintenance because I don't need the 'I need to reply fifteen times today' kind of stress in my life right now and I put lit but in the sense of can pump out three-four paragraphs when necessary but also can do the quicker back and forth 5-7 sentence stuff when that's more appropriate (I mean I love description and all but the interaction is more important than comparing eyes to rainbows like please)
A few characters each would be nice. I know that's not very "standard" in 1x1's but it does make things easier I was more thinking just get a world, get a few characters and just mess around no real structured plots because boy do those get boring fast
so I guess another thing on the list of things is flexibility? Like if you're one of those people that wants a full-on plot and once you get an idea of where it could go you throw the plot that direction even if it organically doesn't want to go there I'm sorry but not the place for you here. I've had way too much godmodding/pulling plots/I don't even know what to call it but just commandeering of ideas I guess? It just annoys me when someone doesn't let the characters lead the plot and force plot onto characters. there's my rant for the day.
genres? tbh I'd be all for high fantasy/making a new world as we go style. Adventurers on a journey to explore the new lands type deal, with multiple sets of characters to focus on so everything doesn't get hung up on one idea the whole time. And so that characters can, ya know, die because adventure is dangerous and they're not all perfect. I'm totally up for something where the characters don't even necessarily like each other. Stuck in the same group where neither really wishes to be there, either because beef with each other personally or they are separated from others they had wanted desperately to be with and so are just resentful of the other for stealing the spot kind of deal. Also up for having plots where character(s) fail out of something and have to work their way back into their goals. Or just dragons. Do I need to say more?
But yeah a new world gives a lot of place for character development instead of plot and more characters can be built //shrugs it's a long thread for something low key but hey if you're interested give this thread a like since I don't want to bookmark a search thread to check for posts plz and thx ^^

eyyy friendly hello hi
anything you were thinking with it? I just want to mash some characters together and see how they respond to different situations so I don't really mind what the task is, whatever genre/idea you're itching to do I'm up for

yeah that was my idea with it are you cool with doing multiple characters per or are you a 1x1 kinda rper? Because I'm kinda wanting some dynamic instead of just a and b talking constantly.

So dragons. Do you prefer the plot to just include dragons or have humanoids mixed in? I have a plot that involves both humanoids and dragons.

zero heyyyyy I mean how plot is your plot? like a point or a line? I'm up to hearing some worlds but as above not for plotlines I haven't had much luck with those and I don't plan on more stress. falconfire I'm all for more rps. ^^ And I totally have some dead d&d characters that would love to see the light of day again if you wish to keep it that era/world

Brownie I think it could be referred to as a start? My idea was that our characters somehow get their hands on dragon eggs. If you want more, someone is looking for these eggs and they may not be friendly. I like this one since it can be placed in any time/place you want.

Still looking for someone? I like fantasy, world-building, lots of characters, and I'm not about leaping into romance.

eep I forgot I didn't have this bookmarked.
Any preferences on types of worlds to throw some charries into? @ both of you
I've also had an idea I've wanted to try for a while if either of you is interested. Instead of two characters interacting, it's two characters never interacting but instead influencing each other's lives from a distance. I was trying to think of some good examples of this and I guess kimi no na wa is kinda what I'm thinking: they only meet twice and never exist at the same time, but still influence each other's daily lives. Or like two people who work the same job in different shifts. Something like that. It would more be like co-writing a story than a true roleplay, though, since most of the time the characters wouldn't be reacting to each other, so you'd have to be interested in keeping going without someone to bounce off of for a while. Longer replies (~1k) would be most efficient, since it is more like a story than anything. idk it's just a muse.

Hm yeah that definitely sounds interesting XD though I think I'd like to do an actual ROLEPLAY, I might be interested in doing that as well? Perhaps as a more passive thing, with long responses when we feel like it, rather than as a continuous roleplay. If that makes sense lol.

mhm it's not something I expected people to be on board with, just something I thought up and wanted to put out there as an option.
A normal rp style is always cool too. Fantasy, right?

Yeah fantasy if that's what you're looking for ^^ and I'm certainly not against the idea, it's just not the main thing I'm looking for lol.

Could be XD it's just a blend of the two genres, however you want. Generally it's technology mixed with/ powered by magic. But it can really just be any way you can think to mix technology/future with a fantasy/other world setting.
