if people would just start posting their art in the art forum then the problem would be solved
edit: I think you deleted your post? sorry if I came across as aggressive; it's just one of those things that bugs me as someone who frequents the AF

While it's true that art is supposed to be posted in the art forum, I doubt posting more art there would fix the problem. People do post art in the art forum, but almost no one ever replies to it. It doesn't feel too great when you spend your hours working on a drawing only to post it and no even comments on it. I get a couple of replies normally, but that's probably just because I post links to my art in my roleplay groups.
I normally put most of my art in the art forum but I figured I'd point out that there is are reasons people prefer posting it here.

I understand why people prefer to post their art in OTD; there's more people & traffic than in the AF. Even though art belongs there, I can see how it's discouraging to artists.
The only way I can think of to fix the poor traffic that comes to the AF is advertising your art (mentioning it in a post or two) or asking people to check it out by putting a link in your signature.

Sorry, I did kinda misinterpret the tone of the post. Although I might’ve been in the wrong. Now I’m embarrassed. Um...I’ll repost in the art forum if anyone wants to see it. And yeah, the problem with the AF is the lack of comments, not art itself. No one comments.

The only way I can think of to fix the poor traffic that comes to the AF is advertising your art (mentioning it in a post or two) or asking people to check it out by putting a link in your signature. While this is a good idea and could work for some people, it most likely wouldn't be very helpful to people who don't post a lot in OTD or other parts of the forums where people will actually look at and reply to the link. I post mostly in OTRP, the art forum, and sometimes OTD. I have an art thread I've had in my sig since around May has about 21 posts that aren't my own, 4 of those were a person who never actually said anything about my art trying to get me to do a request and 9 were a couple of forumers trying to help me find some old art of mine that got deleted on the old forums, leaving a total of around 8 posts in 4 months on a thread currently containing about 30 pictures. I've seen other art threads and I've never really seen anyone having much better luck. Also, if you have new threads for every picture you do you probably won't want to be changing the link in your signature constantly.
