I did not even realize this was out yet. Oops.
I just requested it from the library. Is it any good?

since a lot of us here dislike tigerheart, dovewing, and dovextiger, the SE is terrible and disgusting with how it handles the characters. literally NOTHING happens in this SE.

Oh, yay.
I don't mind TigerxDove myself, personally. Not my favorite, but I don't hate it.

I liked it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's one of the better SE's to me At this point, I am just going to read it with an open mind and not let past experiences deter me from enjoying it.

There hasn't been a decent super edition since Crookedstar's Promise. If CT is any indication, it's not gonna get better...

Probably my least favorite super edition, honestly. It was kinda pointless to me. I liked the concept of the Guardians, but the main characters themselves -- Tigerheart, Dovewing, and their kits -- were pretty meh. It didn't seem to add too much to the plot, in my eyes. They also really messed up Dovewing for me when I started to enjoy her character just curious, but does this mean you agree that anything to do with dovextiger ruins dovewings character?

They also really messed up Dovewing for me when I started to enjoy her character just curious, but does this mean you agree that anything to do with dovextiger ruins dovewings character? Not really. I didn't mind their relationship in the beginning, because she was young and in love, you know? They were in the honeymoon stage, like how it began with Lionblaze and Heathertail. Then she realized it's not all roses, and that things are actually serious, and that their relationship won't work. It bothered me that every time she tried to break it off, Tigerheart coerced her back in...he'd lean toward her or whatever and try to persuade her to give them another shot. He was just as bad as Bumblestripe, to me. When she broke it off, I was very proud of her. I was also proud of her for standing her ground with Bumblestripe, too, and not giving into the pressure.
It just feels like she regressed in A Vision of Shadows. Even in Shattered Sky when the ShadowClan patrol were racing to the moor, and Violetpaw spotted Dovewing and Twigpaw by the border. Dovewing looked excited and happy to see Tigerheart, though he reacted pretty coldly toward her. I remember my first thought was "Ahhh. Great. Here we go," and sure enough, it got worse when the ShadowClan cats sought safety with ThunderClan, and now here we are. It feels so wasted. Even her reason for leaving was kinda messed up. She thought ThunderClan was dangerous, so she just high tails it?! She doesn't tell anyone? She clearly believes the dreams, because that's the exact reason why she left, so...she's not going to warn anyone or anything? Just...leave the Clan -- her friends and family -- to their fate? It felt so...unlike Dovewing, if that makes sense. In a way, it's funny, because she helped save all their hides during the battle against the Dark Forest, just to leave them to their apparent doom cause loverosesagainbabiesTigerheart!! lol
(Sorry for the ramble, to both you and OP. I get carried away sometimes!) EDIT: Just thought to put a spoiler tag, just in case

I didn’t enjoy it at all, but if you like Tigerheart and/or are a Tiger x Doce fan then you’ll appreciate it.

EDIT: Just thought to put a spoiler tag, just in case I just wish she stayed in ThunderClan and kept the kits there like she wanted. Leaving her family was messed up. Now she's going to cause a lot of grief for Ivypool, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Ivypool.

Now she's going to cause a lot of grief for Ivypool, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Ivypool. Exactly! Even ignoring how her family feels, she doesn't warn anyone about the supposed danger that she sensed from her dreams. She really did believe it, too, because that's why she left. No warning whatsoever that something might happen to them, and apparently it did, because it was implied at the end of TS. How messed up is that? Just leave them all to die, I suppose, because her own kits are so important. It felt as though she didn't have any loyalty to her Clan at all, which was one of her number one traits we saw, even when she worried about the cats she met on the journey -- she loves a lot, and is loyal to a fault. That was thrown out the window in TS, so that she seems very selfish and uncaring of anyone outside her little circle of herself and Tigerheart.

I think you should read it as although it wasn't my favourite SE, I'm still glad I read it. It doesn't add much to the plot and the pacing is a little rushed but it's still worth a read imo.
