-- (( = OOC = )) --
-- (( = IC = )) -- Alva leaned his head against his arms on top of the sink, taking deep breaths through his nose, trying to get himself together. He felt horrible and like he was definitely going to be sick again, but no, he had a job to do. He needed to get back to work. How else was he going to get a good job, make an okay living, and maybe move out of his horrible apartment?
The voice of another guy interrupted his thought, though his mind was so cloudy he couldn't even tell where the voice was coming from. He did look pretty horrible, didn't he? Alva lifted his head and stared at his reflection in the mirror. Pasty, pale skin, his face flushed and sweaty, hair sticking to his forehead. Dark circles underneath his eyes. Yeah, he looked awful. But... "Um... I'm okay," he mumbled quietly, voice muffled by his arms, lying to the guy and himself. He couldn't go home and there wasn't anyone to call.
And why was it so hot suddenly? Alva was burning up... It felt like his skin was on fire, his chest and shoulder aching. His hand shook as he moved to rub it gently, making himself wince. Was he dying? Had he really caught rabies? He was going to die a boring, lonely nineteen year old with only a friend or two. He hadn't even graduated yet. "I'm..." He said, voice shaking, wincing and sitting down on his knees in front of the sink. The pain was so bad, almost as bad as it had been the first night, when he had dragged himself back home, crying and shaking and wishing for it to stop. "I'm o-okay." He cried through his words, covering his mouth with one hand and sobbing. Tears slid down his cheeks.
Alva was not okay. He knew he wasn't okay. He felt like he was dying, like he was being bitten and clawed viciously all over again. Forget going back to work. Forget his future career and school. He didn't want to be here anymore.

She has chocolate-brown, long fur, and bright green eyes. History: She was born a human, but was bitten three weeks ago. She passed out when she was bitten, and now has very limited memory of her past life. This is bad, because, you know. Eight years old. Relations: Mother: Julia Mirren. Father: Charles Mirren. Jay looked up as his Alpha spoke and his face flushed a bit. "Huh? Oh uh... nothing Inara. I actually just wanted to talk to you for a bit, just as friends." He said with a small smile, putting a hand behind his head. He was fighting hard against his wolf, who was trying to get him to submit and shut up. Here is my reply when you have time Zero

Reina "Ravyn" Brookes - Female (she/her) - 22 - Healer Rayvn is the exact stereotype of person who would have such a nickname. She adores the concept of goth and the dark colors it has to offer. She loves to wear black since it makes her borderline translucent skin even more pale than it already is. Her hair is long, wavy, and also black dark red streaks through it. Her actual face is soft and pretty feminine, and she even has a diamond nose ring stud. Her eyes are naturally pale blue, and framed with dark lashes. However, she covers them up with yellow contacts instead to give people more of a jolt. She loves wearing eyeliner, dark eyeshadow, and of course she couldn't live without her black lipstick for long. She stands at 5'3", and her figure is pretty slim and fragile, even if she doesn't have much of a voluptuous figure to mark her as feminine. Her wolf is roughly the size of an Indian wolf, and it has black fur with white paws and a white tip at the ears and tail. Given that Ravyn was born in a strict Spanish-Catholic family, she was viewed as the lesser member of the family. There was a tradition that the youngest daughter would care for the mother through her old age. This caused her to be entrapped and never see much of the real world. Her family wouldn't even let her go to school to get a proper education. When she and her brother were 16, they ran away from home to try making a living in the next town or city. During the craziness, she was separated from her twin and attacked by a werewolf. Naturally she went through a change, and found the pack when she was 19. Being raised in a Spanish-Catholic home had few perks. Her family was strict and controlling of every aspect of her life, especially since she was the daughter of the family. Ravyn used to be close with her slightly older twin, Rei. She considered him her means of family until he broke away and left the pack for reasons she refuses to believe. She considers herself to be bisexual, or at least queer in regards to her own orientation. She loves to sing to alternative, and punk music. She has a bit of a thing for the Wiccan arts, naturally she thinks herself to be a witch at times.
Rei Brookes - Male (he/him/they/them) - 22 - Outsider This man is no king, despite his namesake of "Rei". It wasn't even the right spelling. He likes to stick to his leather jackets and ripped jeans. His combat boots are one of his few prized possessions. Standing at 5'3", one could easily mistake him for being a scared little pipsqueak. He is mostly toned muscle since he likes to work out and exert himself. His skin is pale, border-lining at translucence, and his hair is styled short and messy, with an undercut to go along with it. He has pale blue eyes that are framed by dark lashes, one would almost mistake him for female if they were drunk or careless. After all, his face is pretty angular and defined, it wouldn't be hard to consider him androgynous if he was caught in a dress. He has a couple of tattoos on his left arm to cover up most of the scars from his experiences. His wolf is the size of an Indian wolf, with black fur, gray ear-tips, and pale blue eyes. Once upon a time, Rei was an entitled child since he was a firstborn son to his family. After all, this particular Spanish-Catholic family valued the fact he would be the one to inherit whatever was left. Soon, he found that his twin wasn't getting the same kind of life. When they turned 16, he took his sister and their things to find a better life in some city. During their escape, he lost his sister for a good hour, soon running to save her from a werewolf. He got bit and attacked in the process, but he was able to have them live on their own until finding the pack at age 19. He decided to leave the pack at 21 for the sake of independence, and the need to try hunting down werewolves biting up humans. Rei was the pride and joy of his family, granted that he was the firstborn son. His Spanish-Catholic family gave him plenty of freedom, but he chose to spend a majority of that time trying to protect his twin sister from any harm. It was hard to protect her, naturally he made sure she was safe in a pack before he grew distant and into the woods. Rei is proudly pansexual and will flirt with whoever catches his eye first. This leads him to plenty of bar fights. He is trying his hardest to stay away from drinking too much, especially since he's genetically susceptible to alcoholism. If there's a skill he's decent with, it's charming his way out of most trouble.

Inara gave Jay one of her small, nervous smiles. The way Jay phrased his sentence was odd. She really hoped nothing was wrong with him. She didn't think she could deal with much more. Then again, he might be troubled by the influx of members. It might not be related to him. Not like over people hurting was much better. Well, she had to do this. "Sure, where do you want to go?" She asked meeting Jay's eyes. The flushed cheeks were a bit worrying. Was he sick?
---
Kest shook his head. It didn't get a genius to figure out the man was the opposite of okay. Really, just getting out the door must have been a pain. He opened his mouth to tell the man to go home. This was when the man crumbled. Kest lurched forward but froze inches away. Whatever this man had, Kest could get it. He could still feel the phantom burn of the fever he has just a couple weeks back. The rolling of his stomach was too familiar. Even worse, Gareth could get sick. His brother was even worse than him. They both had the same sickness, yet his brother's lasted for a near week. It crushed him to watch his brother roll around in pain, always curled up. The male flinched back as if the sickness would leap to his fingers.
Kest looked around for anyone to help. To help the man or himself. Of course, everyone seemed to be avoiding the pair. Typical. He huffed at the people's harsh attitude. He turned his head to find the man was now sobbing. Now he really couldn't leave. Kest carefully placed a hand on the other man's shaking shoulders. He wasn't the best with words so he wasn't going to bother comforting the male. Hopefully getting him home would be good enough. "We'll get you home." He promised. He moved his hand off of his shoulder and offered a hand. "Let's get you up first."

River; Your characters look great. I need the eye color for Ravyn's wolf form. Rei's wolf form can not have blue eyes since he is not a half-breed. A half-breed can only be born, not made. )

The way his eyes met Inara's made his wolf want to submit all the more, not used to looking its Alpha in the eye. Resisting the urge, Jay stood up a bit and shrugged. "I don't care, maybe the kitchen? Get a snack while we talk?@ he suggested as he looked up at her again. Z

Comfort wasn't something Alva really expected from the stranger---it wasn't really something he wanted, either. He wanted the pain to stop. He wanted to stop crying. Seriously, he was a grown man, sobbing on the floor of a public bathroom. It couldn't get much more humiliating than that, could it?
He didn't speak for a long time, or take Kest's offerer hand, and took a few minutes to try to pull himself together. Telling himself, even if it was a lie, that he was okay. Or that he would be okay soon, after he got some rest. Maybe. Was a hospital bill, that he couldn't afford to pay, better than leaving his wounds untreated? Alva wasn't sure of it was worth it, but... In the end, he knew he couldn't go see a doctor. Hesitantly, he took Kest's hand, and tried to pull himself off the floor. Instantly, a searing pain shot up his arm and he let go, falling back down (he hadn't gotten up very far, thankfully, or it would have hurt more). He let out a slight sob, sniffling, and wiped at his face with the sleeves of his shirt.
Other men were looking at him strangely, with mixed expressions of concern and suspicion. Not that Alva was paying attention, too busy trying to stop crying. He'd never been attacked by a dog before...or any animal. Was it supposed to hurt this much? "I'm sorry," he apologized with another loud sniffle. "I can't..." He managed to stand after five or six minutes of struggling, wobbling, his legs shaking. He felt like such a rude, bothersome problem for the stranger. "I'm sorry, sir..."

Inara nodded slowly. She wasn't sure which kitchen Jay was referring to. Was it hers or his he wanted to visit? She would be fine with both. By now, she had seen the inside of each apartment and many had seen the inside of hers. Both were fine. "I suppose. Please, lead the way." She suggested. The alpha didn't want to make any assumptions on where they were suppose to go. She figured wherever Jay was more comfortable would be better.
---
Kest felt a bit foolish for holding out his hand for so long. He was given quite a few odd looks. Not like anyone else was trying to help, so they were easy to ignore. Instead, he focused on the trembling male. He hadn't thought of it at the moment, but his actions might have seemed a bit creepy. Sure, the man was sick and hurting, but a stranger might not be able to be trusted. Especially when offering help when he was so weak. Kest wasn't sure if he would trust a stranger if he was sick and weak. Kest was about to pull back when he felt a slightly sweaty hand reach up towards his. He winced. A fever and a stomach bug at the same time. No wonder the male was so weak. As soon Kest closed his hand, he found himself grasping at the air.
Kest was starting to get frustrated. Nothing he did helped. He was only met with more and more resistance. Of course, it really wasn't anyone's fault but the unknown werewolf. Not like the werewolf knew his. He was quietly cursing at the universe for making things difficult. If only he could just pick up the sick man. Moving would be ten times easier. But no. Kest didn't even feel comfortable with the idea. He was trying to come up with an idea when he heard the stranger speak again.
Kest blinked when he found the man standing. By how much his legs were shaking, Kest wouldn't have thought just being upright was possible. "No problem. Really." He quickly said. Kest looked over the man and sighed. No way could he make it anywhere. It would be a feat for just one step to be taken. "How about I help you to a cab?" He suggested, concern obvious in his voice.

Jay blinked as she offered him to lead and his wolf just got to be too much to bear. "Uh n-no you can lead. We can go wherever you want." He said with a slight smile. Despite being brave and bold most of the time, he was still very subservient to his Alpha and he still felt he needed to follow her, not lead her. "Sorry, I just don't care where we go to eat." He said.

Rei knew that patrolling the streets for a while would be of some use. It was weird to think that the attacks were getting more and more frequent. It wasn't natural, and he didn't like not being in the know of things. Hopefully he could figure out why werewolves were getting the stupid idea to bite humans. As far as he knew, it was against nature and it never worked out on both ends.
He sniffed the air for a moment, soon picking up on a new scent near the... Ah, he couldn't bother trying to differentiate if it was a museum or whatever. He knew that Kest was around, and something new. He grunted a bit, shuffling into the local museum before glancing around. Weird, wasn't there some shy front desk boy? He sniffed some more before walking into the bathroom, grunting in surprise at what he saw. He looked over to Kest, having not been in the pack for a year, it was weird to see an old face. "Kiddo." he said with a nod before glancing to the other guy. Alvin... Or was it Allen...
"What did you get yourself into?" he asked, mostly to himself, but he would appreciate an answer from Kest if he had one. He walked over to Alva before kneeling down to his level. He definitely smelled like a new werewolf, or at least a changing one. "Hey, kid, since when did you start feeling sick?" he asked, his voice was low and gravelly as he was trying to keep himself vigilant of the surroundings.

-- (( = OOC = )) --
-- (( = IC = )) -- A cab. Yes, a cab would be nice. Going home would be nice. Alva would go home, crash in the living room, and hope he felt better the next day. If he could make it outside to catch a cab. While this odd man might have been quite nice (or would have just felt bad about leaving him on the bathroom floor), he wasn't sure the stranger would appreciate him leaning all over him for support. Not that he would be comfortable leaning on him, but he actually wasn't sure if he would be able to walk on his own. "Um...yeah. A cab...would be great," Alva answered quietly, avoiding the judgmental gazes of the men moving around them.
Alva took a small breath before he took a step forward, legs trembling, then took another. One step at a time, nearly collapsing against the doorframe. At least he'd made it this far on his own, but his legs felt like jelly. There was no way he would ever make it outside. His vision was blurry, his head spinning, and he rested his head against the cold cement of the doorframe. Everything's so fuzzy, Alva thought tiredly, I can't see where I'm going... This wasn't normal. Everything in Alva's life had always been normal, except for his name maybe. This was definitely not.
"I...think I'm going to be sick again," Alva mumbled after a moment, covered his mouth, and stumbled his way back to the toilet. It was only after a couple minutes that he realized someone had spoken to him. Calling him...a kid? He wasn't a kid...but he wasn't going to argue. It was a strange question. Why did it matter how long he had been sick?
Weird. He was sick. Probably had the flu. What was odd about that? Rei was much, much too close for comfort. Or for anything other than shyness. Even as sick as he was, Alva didn't like the closeness. Timidly, he backed up a little further, though he didn't try to stand again. It wasn't really any use to try by now. "A, um...few days ago..." He replies from his place on the floor, squinting over at the two men. "I...I'd like to go home."

Inara perked up at the offer. Jay said they could go wherever she wanted. She wanted to get out of the packhouse. Go out and be free in the streets. Of course, she had a job in two hours, but still. They could eat. She was dying to try the sandwich shop. Normally, she wouldn't spend the extra money, but she longed to just go somewhere and rest. She deserved this after her long morning. "Okay, but we are going out. Do you need anything before we go?" She asked as she turned to go down the stairs.
---
There was too much going on for Kest's taste. Handling both a sick man and a stranger was a little stressful. Gareth waiting outside hadn't escaped his mind. He really didn't want to add his brother into the mix. After all, he wasn't sure who just came into the bathroom and decided to help. They did seemed familiar, but Kest couldn't place his finger on it. The male looked too old to be an old classmate and he was certainly not one of Gareth's friends. Despite their dark looks, Kest was grateful for the odd stranger's help. He certainly wasn't getting anywhere alone. A sighed escaped him as the man ran back into another stall. He scrunched up his nose again at the strong stench making a powerful reappearance.
Kest watched the whole charade play out with little amusement. He raised his eyebrow at the dubbed children nicknames. Maybe he really shouldn't be happy for the stranger's help. All the help he was doing was causing the sick person to get even more nervous. He opened his mouth to tell them to go away, but stopped at the sound of Alva's last statement. Sympathy weld up inside Kest at just the tone used. His mouth snapped shut but the frown remained. He silently cursed the werewolf blood now in him. Ever since he was bitten, he was trying to help more people. This wasn't necessarily bad, but it did get him into tough situations like this. "You know what. I'm going to call you a cab." He grumbled. His patience had worn thin. He waved his hand in the direction of the short man. "You help him get up."
He wasn't sure if he should leave. The new male didn't look too trustworthy, even if his instincts told him differently. Still, his nose was about to fall off and he certainly wasn't helping. Maybe this guy knew something he didn't about getting sick people to their feet. Kest slowly started to edge towards the door, keeping a careful eye on both of them.

Inara blinked and resisted raising an eyebrow. As far as she knew, Jay didn't have a job. Instead, he helped around the packhouse. Admirable, as Inara would have gone crazy if she didn't have a place to go, but it wasn't profitable. Inara's job was giving her money, so in her mind, she should pay. Yet, she hadn't seen Jay this bold in, well, forever. It was good it was taking a stand on something. She simply smiled and nodded. She walked down the metal stairs and out the door. She waited for Jay to get out the door before walking. It may be still early, but the city was already awake and moving. Groups of people clogged the streets making it easy to get lost or separated. Not like she would do the former. She grew up on the streets. She knew them like the back of her hand.

Inara weaved through the crowds as any local would. She barely glanced at the people inevitably bumped her. Well, did she glare at some people, but it got tiring fast. Most people didn't mean it anyways. Half of them was just hurrying to work. She focused more on the buildings passing. In truth, she wasn't really sure where the deli was. She knew the general area, but not the exact location. She tried to keep her expression casual as if she wasn't leading them to get lost. "So what have you been doing?" She asked. Between the new members and her job, she hadn't really spoken to many of the old members. Not like she normally would a lot. Still, she would check up on them and make sure everyone was happy.

He smiled and walked up beside her. "Not much. Working around the Complex, fixing leaks and doors and stuff." He said as he bumped into someone and then regained his walking stride. "How about you? How are the newbies settling in?"

Inara nodded. The building was old, which was why it was so cheap, so there was plenty of leaks and squeaking doors. It was frankly very sad and depressing for the alpha. Not like they could really do much. Not many members had jobs or were ready for them. Plus, most were out of the system. Technically, most born werewolves didn't exist in the eyes of the government. Nothing much they could do, for now. She had small plans. The talk of the newcomers made her smile a bit. It was nice to have more people around, even if those said people made her tired or were a little tense. "All of the newcomers are settling well. Layla has taken to caring for most of them, even if they don't want the help." She said with a cheerful tone.
