He shook his head, glancing to his chest. The wound had been bleeding, and might have even begun to fester.

Waffle stood on the fence in his yard, tail swaying as he surveyed the neighborhood.

(omg im so sorry i thought i replied to this!)
Nieve gasped, the small white she-cat had no training in wounds like this. Her whiskers twitched nervously. Then the crunching of snow was coming nearer. Nieve looked over fear coursed through her body. If it was the farmer her friend was done for. But it wasn't it was a slender but beautiful gray husky dog with pale blue eyes. His eyes widened when he saw Oka and Nieve. He suddenly raced off but after a couple minutes he came back with something in his mouth. It was a huge clump of moss. "You need help." The husky said quickly. "Lay down please." The husky's voice was quiet and calming no hint of anger.

Wicker stalked through the freshly fallen snow. His whiskers twitching, his black body stood out in the fallen snow but he was quiet. Not even the snow crunched under his white paws. His long whiskers twitched before leaping forward play tackle Waffle of his fence.

Nieve looked from the husky to Oka. The husky seemed to be nice, but she had never seen him around her barn before. He just kind of appeared. The husky pleaded with his eyes. The small white she-cat sighed and looked at Oka. "I think he means well." She said quietly.

With that, Oka nodded his head. If she thought so, he had no other words to be said. "Do it." He turned swsy, as to not watch whatever the husky would do to his wound.

The husky gave a small nod and quickly went to work, he pressed the large hunk of slightly frozen moss to the wound. He pressed hard but not to hard. The blood quickly soaked the moss, but the husky quickly put large paw fulls of snow to freeze the blood and make it slow down. Her turned to Nieve, "Could you please grab me some cloth? Doesn't matter what kind." The small white she-cat nodded and raced away, after a little bit she returned with a old potato sack. The husky grabbed and placed it on the wound. "Hold this here." He told Nieve before bounding away. The small white she-cat used her front paws to press the cloth to the wound. Her eyes wide.

Oka was baring his teeth, eyes closed, deep in pain. "M-maybe a bit less hard, Nieve..." He whispered through his fangs.

Nieve gave a small nod and lightened her push. Soon the husky was back with a mouth full of slightly frozen herbs. Nieve took a step back and began to chew the herbs. Nieve kept close to Oka she watched the husky work. He beane to lick the herbs onto the wounds.

Oka cringed and stared at Nieve. "What is your name, hound?" He murmured, his tail straightening in tension, just as the rest of his muscles already had tensed.

The husky glanced up at Oka then back down to the wound. "The names Ossie." He paused and placed a thick clump of herbs on the wound. "and you are?" His icy blue gaze glanced from Nieve to Oka, then back down to the wound. Ossie worked fast his paws quick and steady as he placed herbs and stopped the blood.

"Stone Oka, formerly of the Night Runners pack. What pack are you of?" Oka forced a smiled, as he believed the worst part of treating the wound had passed. The prefix 'Stone' had been given due to his rock-solid defense of the queen's den during an enemy packs raid, in which he defended against six enemy wolves until help arrived. Surely, his honorary title was forfeit, now that he had left them, but Oka used the name because of how iconic it was- it was more likely Ossie would know him by that name, than simply by Oka.

Ossie's black tipped triangular ears flicked to the name, it sounded familiar but he didn't know were he heard it from. Ossie waited a little bit before answering "Former medicine dog of Rabbit Run pack." Ossie's voice was quiet. Ossie had been a great medicine dog before a raid of their camp made them weak, then a strange sickness took out the rest of his pack, he was left alone after that. Nieve sat quietly next to Oka she listened to the two her whiskers twitching.

"Rabbit Run? You all... Ossie, I'm so sorry. Were you the only one?" Oka reached out and placed his paw upon the huskie's. It was one of the last pieces of news he had heard before he left his pack, and had it continued to shock him to this day that the Rabbit Run were just... gone.

Ossie gave a small nod as he placed some sticky herbs on the wound to keep dirt and other debris out of the wound. "It was bound to happen i guess." Ossie sat back. Changing the subject. "This is all i can do for now." Ossie paused and looked around. "Is there a place were you can rest safely?" Nieve spoke up. "My barn is safe." She said quietly. Ossie looked over. Seemly to forget the small white she-cat had been there.

Oka leaned forward, despite the pain, and whispered to Ossie. "She saved my life. I owe her servitude, by our laws." He explained, now lifting himself up.

Ossie gave a short nod and stood next to Oka. "Lean on me if you want." Nieve padded ahead a little bit her whiskers twitching nervously. She hopped the farmer had gone back in. She glanced around. The bodies of the wolves had disappeared. The farmer must had gotten them.

Oka limped all the way back, using Ossie as a crutch. When they finally made it, he collapsed into his hay bale bed, sighing in relief.

Ossie checked Oka over, his walk had not knocked any of the herbs off so that was good. Ossie gave it a could licks before sitting down. Nieve padded over to Ossie in Oka with the cold mice she had caught earlier in the morning. She dropped the three mice at Ossie's paws. Ossie's stomach growled seeing the mice, but he picked them up and placed them next to Oka. "Eat, your body needs it." Ossie's voice was quiet but stern.

Oka glanced at them, and shook his head. "Heh... I'll heal without them. When's the last time you ate, healer? Healers don't need to hunt- you can't have been able to out there, on your own."

Ossie looked down at the mice he wanted to object but Oka was right he had not had a decent meal in weeks. "Thank you." He said quietly before eating the three mice in just one bite. Nieve spoke up. "Im going to hunt some more." The small she-cat bounded away. Her violet bell jingling softly as she did.

Nieve looked over to Oka. "I will!" She called out before disappearing into the dark depths of the barn. Ossie checked Oka's wound once again before sitting back down. "How did you meet her?" He asked quietly.

Ossie gave a nod another question came to mind but he didn't know if he should ask after a couple minutes of silent the large gray husky spoke. "Why did you leave your pack?" Ossie's head tilted slightly as he asked the question.

Oka cringed. He had known it was coming. "Ossie, Night Runners was known to be ruthless in battle, correct?" He didn't wait for an answer- it was so well known, no one would ever challenge them head on. "They weren't just ruthless fighting. Everything was ruthless. Camp Life had become a battleground.

Ossie had known well that Night Runners were a ruthless, once a long time ago Rabbit Run and Night Runners fought and Rabbit Run was almost whipped out, only a mere five wolves survived that fight. Ossie's ear flicked. "Is that why you left?" He asked quietly.

"No. I helped many of the weaker escape, then, once they realized I was the reason the pack had decreased, I was chased out." He said, both proud of his actions and ashamed of the dishonor he had wrought.

"Ah." Ossie paused. "Well im proud to be helping some one as noble as you." Some of those escapees had made their way to Rabbit Run and they spoke about the one who saved them Stone Oka, that's where Ossie head of the name. Ossie was about to say something when Nieve came back with five mice dangling from her muzzle. The small white she-cat looked proud of her catch.
