WORDS You can help think of any traditions or things to add! Or, if you'd like to help, can you make the herb list for me? It'll be the same as the regular warrior cats stuff, but I need it to be copied and organized for me to post on the page. If you could do that, that would be great!

a nice idea might be to have everything on the page explained sorta from the perspective of one of the cats? like 'and there's the den' and so on, idk. maybe. i could do that for the territory / camp after the basics are done. ( perhaps traditions are explained by a different cat? and the welcoming blurb at the top? since they don't have outsiders it could be like a cat explaining to kits or apprentices. ) WORDS That would be very nice to do c: I don't want to push all the work on to you though, so if everyone could pitch in a part of that once we have all the information down that would be great!

WORDS We could do something like that, yes!
Thats okay Ariat, it's no big deal c: I tend to take over projects and Im trying not to do that this time around. If you'd like, can you help create a prey and predator list, with how common and rare things are, etc. for the cats? And when Im done the territory information, you're welcome to write the point of view for that if you still want to do things! Thanks for all your help.

Sounds good. Do you have like an area in mind so I can see what animals are around there to build the list or anything?
I mean, I'm not trying to be a nag and do everything, I just like to help out and feel that I'm a part of building something, ya know?

WORDS I was thinking a regular forest, so things like deer, fox, etc. would be a common occurrence. If you want to make it interesting, perhaps in a northern part of the territory there have even been sittings of bears and such. Of course, no Twolegs are anywhere near this area so there would be no horse, sheep, etc., but there could be a rare sighting every blue moon of dogs and such. Floraclan lives a very isolated life when it comes to Twolegs so nature is very abundant where they are c:

maybe, since we are going by a flower-ish theme, there are different flowers for different purposes ? like a daisy for when a kitten is born, a rose when cats become mates, etc. also, should flower names be banned, like clan names are in the books ?

Predators - Bears - Very rare Dogs - Very rare Gray Wolf - Rare Badgers - Rare Fox - Common Birds Of Prey - Common Turkey - Common Coyotes - Common
Prey - Pheasants - Uncommon Deer - Common to see, Uncommon to kill Small Birds - Common Mice - Common Squirrel - Common Rabbit - Common Fish - Common
Does this look alright? I just kinda went with animals around here and then mixed a little of that with my own thoughts for rarity. If anyone has something to add or thinks something should be removed or have the rarity changed, let me know

i don't think most predators would be common, like all of those? & there would definitely be more than just common & uncommon prey. perhaps uh
bears, dogs, wolves - very rare badgers, coyotes - rare birds of prey, foxes - uncommon turkeys - common
and for prey
birds, squirrels, small rodents, fish - common pheasants, medium sized birds - uncommon rabbits, deer - rare
bc it's all in a forest, you wouldn't see the biggest predators and prey often depending on how thick the coverage is. there's a river, though, right? so yeah, fish would be common at least spring-fall.

Idk I mean like I said I was kinda basing it off of stuff around here and it'll obviously differ by places. Like coyotes are pretty darn common even in my neighborhood so I'd figure they'd see a bunch if they lived in the woods around here. Plus I figured it might not hurt to have at least a couple common predators since there's really no people or other clans or dogs around
But like I said, whatever people think would make the most sense we an do. I just got a basic list that can be shifted around to accommodate what we want to do with the clan. I'm just stating my reasoning

WORDS I was a little busy last night, apologies for not being on for you guys! You've done great work so far c:
Regarding the flowers- flowers will not have a certain meaning based in that sense. Each cat has their own special flower, no one else in the clan will have unless by mate pairing or mentorship pairing. On the traditions sections, I've outlined some of this already (although Ill be cleaning it up)! But I understand where that reasoning would come from. How about- regarding presents of flowers, they can be of any kind without pertaining to a certain cat. Therefore, for example a cat with a lavender flower could give a wreath of daisies to a cat with a lily flower, even if there is a daisy cat in the clan. It is the bonding portion that counts- when a flower from another grows into a cat. But a cat will not receive a certain flower for something like having kits and such- the traditions section will outline this further and I will clarify it there what I mean, as it might sound a little confusing now.
I do like the concept of giving flowers for certain occasions built upon what we already have. How about when kits are born, they each receive a blossom from their mother? And when they achieve maturity to go to the field to pluck their flower, they can choose to keep or remove their mother's blossom (it is generally seen as disrespectful to remove it without good cause). When kittens are born, cats from the clan are encouraged to give one of their blossoms to the queen's nest as good fortune and show of community.
Yep, cats can definitely have flower names, they aren't outlawed c: I just don't think practically they'd be used frequently, yknow? A cat is more than their flower if they are given that name, and it would be slightly confusing and amusing if a cat with a daisy flower had the name Lavender- while a cat in the clan with a lavender flower had the name Daisy-. But! Flower names are not outlawed and do exist. For names to outlaw having, I was thinking of the simple ones the regular clans do, with the addition of the clan name: - flora - flower - sun - moon - star
Thank you both ink and ariat for working on that predator and prey list! I will take what you've both done and merge it into the final list. Remember, these guys are isolated and are very well-fed and taken care of here, so their prey levels should be above predator level:
Predators - bears very rare - dogs/coyotes very rare - wolves rare - deer uncommon - badgers uncommon - fox uncommon - turkey common
Prey - rabbits rare - large birds (pheasants, water fowl, etc.) uncommon - eggs uncommon - small birds (sparrow, starling, etc.) common - small rodents (mice, vole, etc.) common - squirrel common - fish seasonal; summer common, winter rare
I added a couple things in there for more variety, but I hope I properly merged your two lists and it reflects here! Floraclan is fairly peaceful (in the past sense anyway), so predators even though in existence and are common are not frequently being fought off or killed. The prey levels are enough for them all and there isn't much to fight over considering border boundaries!

you do have to keep in mind that the setting here isn't where humans settle, where coyotes, dogs, and other animals can get scraps. coyotes also tend to like more open space as well from what i've seen, but very rarely you might see them in a forest like the one i'm p sure floraclan has.
dwdw, just trying to tell you about it. & the problem with having three, four common predators is that there are always far more prey than predators- if you have common predators, they'd all compete for food and eventually only a few really stay common
just explaining my reasoning, too ^^ sorry if i was too forward with it. Thanks for explaining your reasoning. And sorry if I acted a bit too defensive last night. I've been having an issue with somebody lately (not on here) where it seems like everything I do is wrong and so I've been a bit defensive. Sorry if it seemed like I was taking it out on you

TERRITORY Floraclan's territory is one of malleability and holds many hidden treasures and secrets for being so isolated from contact from humans or anything else besides what naturally dwells in the forest. The cats of Floraclan dwell in the depths of an untouched forest that experiences all four seasons, yet always is abundant with life at all times. There are hills, rivers, and ledges across the territory. Although there is a general boundary area, Floraclan cats do not have an entirely fixed border and are fairly lax regarding maintenance, but scent-marking and patrols still investigate the area out of curiosity and warding off of possible predators.
White River - One of the streams in Floraclan's territory that has become a full river through the territory, it is a relatively straight-arrow trajectory across the northern top of the territory. It is named for its frothy white rapids that pour over its many rocks.
Black River - The other main river in Floraclan's territory, it runs parallel to its sister White River, running along the southern bottom of the territory. It has many loops and curls, falling out of the clan's boundaries somewhere at the bottom. It is named for its very clear water that shows the dark pebbles making its bed.
Moss-Sponge Cave - Near to Floraclan's main encampment is a gradual dip in the earth, becoming rocky and steep, that leads down into a small cavern of sorts with an exit on the other side. The rocks and ground here from ceiling to floor is covered in moss that regrows after it is taken for use by the cats. It is also a popular training area.
Rock Ridge - To the west of Floraclan's territory is a rise in the earth, a gradual climb that creates a cliff-like ridge of rocks poking from the earth. This inches above a section of barren trees, allowing cats to see far into the distance on all sides.
The Star Meadow - To the east of Floraclan's territory, the abundant trees of the territory taper out, revealing a large meadow. Here is where cats receive their flower. There is one of every flower in the world in this meadow regardless of natural biome and they never die or wilt regardless of season. A flower cannot be picked from here without it being the chosen cat who is taking it. When medicine cats and leaders wish to speak to Starclan, they lay in the place where their flower was plucked and dream.
