Would anyone be interested in a horror/mystery type rp? Not like, gore and stuff, but maybe a little more serious or scary than a usual rp.

Ooh, I read a book called The Bunker, where people had been kidnapped and trapped together in a bunker and the person who had kidnapped them could control things in the bunker and mess with them. We could try something related to that?)

Yeah! I was actually thinking along the lines of something like that! Great idea! It may sound a bit cliche, but we could also do something along the lines of a group being stuck in a place like a hotel, camp, lodge, etc. There could be a murder or y'know, something along those lines and it could be a sort of mystery rp?

Ooh okay I love that. I'm thinking we have limits on food too. They possibly also all have some sort of explosive device or something attached to them so if they try to leave of break any rule the kidnapper sets out, they die? Anyway I like the idea of a hotel or something. So do you have anything specific you need help with?)

Yesss, that sounds good! As for help, I was just thinking along the lines of coming up with the main plot. Like, if we want it to be a human murderer, or something more supernatural. If we want to incorporate mystery we will also have to come up with things that need to be solved and how to solve them. Tbh I'm getting Before Dawn kinda vibes haha.
If we wanted to do something supernatural we could have it set at a camp. Kinda like big foot or some other creature. But if it was more human I feel like it could be more creepy just because it's something that could actually happen. Opinions?

I think a human because it's easier to rp since a supernatural creature might be up for interpretation from person to person. Also, as you said, it's significantly creepier.
As for mystery, I suppose the first things would be working out how to get out of there, how to get food, whether they can contact the outside world. And I guess if none of the people know who the kidnapper is they might be suspicious and think the kidnapper is among them. The biggest mystery would be who the kidnapper is)

That would be the biggest twist haha. I actually do have a couple idea on that, but we can discuss that later. How about we settle on a setting for it? Like you said, a hotel would be pretty cool. But if we wanted to have it more open we could do a lodge in the mountains/forest. They would have a limited space they could go because of the device? Or, if we really wanted to close them in, we could do it on a boat or something.

(Okay, so a hotel could be good, but equally a boat. OOH! What about a hijacked cruise ship? That would be interesting)

Hello :3 You have an opinion on what's been discussed so far?
Ohh a cruise ship would be cool! It could give a lot of different types of people to. Like rich people, workers etc.

I'm interested in helping. I saw a writing prompt online about a cruise ship and someone died and then it turned into like a hunger games type thing. There was an announcement like 'one down, 5,321 contestants left' or something like that. We could do something like that. I could find he actualmprompt later

Hmm, a count down would be interesting! The master mind could be treating their lives like it was a game.

(Hi everyone by the way! Ooh yeah okay I totally wanna have a worker. And I love Ariat's idea, that's definitely something I think we could try to incorporate. But instead of them killing eachother (though that might happen as people get desperate or crazy) people are getting picked off one by one??

Hmm it is a good idea. Getting slowly picked off would definitely add to the creepiness. As for the boat, we could base it off H. H. Holmes' murder castle. A boat made especially for murder. Secret passage ways, fake walls, dead ends, stairs that went to no where.

If you want to make it more 'game' like we could make it like the game show survivor in a way. Like every day there's a new 'challenge' (I'm not quite sure what the challenges could be' and whoever wins the challenge is safe. The next morning a few people would be missing (most likely killed?) idk that might be a little too much but it's an idea

Ariat - I like it but might be hard to do in a small group? I don't know we'll see what the others think
Kurai - Yeah! I'm pretty excited)

Ohh a challenge each day could keep the rp running. Like, they'd always have something to rp and we wouldn't run out of idea?? It would be kinda hard to think up a lot of challenges though. I think we should consider it! And yes, we must include an eerie scene of engines cutting out!

(Yeah I agree, we should keep the idea and test it out. If it works in rp, we can keep it. Depends how it'll fit with a group)

Ooh okay I like Kurai's idea about individual challenges. The challenges could get more intense until people are being challenged to kill eachother? Maybe two characters are told to kill eachother and are pitred against eachother for the kidnapper's entertainment?)

Individual challenges would be very cool. Good idea. I think testing it out would be best. As for their reason for being there. Maybe the boat could be entered only by invitation. No one knows why they were invited and maybe we could have some people that snuck on.

Yess, and if they didn't complete the challenge the'd be killed themself.

Going along with the PM individual challenge idea we could choose a few characters at random and PM the people that play them to say that these characters are working with the bad guys so they can foil any escape attempts or rebellion attempts? If that makes any sense. So the only people that know who's a backstabber is whoever is in charge of doing that and the person rping them? If that makes sense

I have an idea for the main bad guy. I was thinking that the main bad guy could be the first one, or one of the first ones that is killed. But instead of actually dying he/she fakes her death. So there's no suspicion placed on them.

Oooh that's a good idea about the bad guy 'dying'
