Shadow seemed to freeze at his first sentence. Her gaze darkened, her outstretched hands with newfelt freedom clenched in frustration. “So you’re doing this for you?” She asked, not really using a filter. “And who said I want to help you? Orion is an enemy...but last time I faced him-“
A flash of memory he might be able to pick up on. A frightened, bleeding girl, her, and many dead corpses, with one figure towering above it all, Orion.
“No...” She whispered clutching her head, not hearing his last words it seemed, as she struggled to fight off her memories, keep up her shield around her mind. “No, I’m not being a puppet again, you can’t make me!” She yelled out, turning suddenly with eyes of a bright violet-blue, glowing as her hands ignited in the color. Though, it faded very fast, the color didn’t disappear, but she forced it away from his direction. “Just, don’t phrase things like that...”
”The least I can do for now is take you to a place he can't find us. At least until we formulate a new plan.”
The last time she heard words like that, she never got to leave again and everyone died.
(Slowly we start to open the can of worms.)

Ollie stood silently. Whether or not he had seen the memory leak was uncertain, but having been looking away, he missed seeing the glow of her gaze. He closed his eyes and let out a breath. Pretending to scratch at his afro, he wiped his face with his sleeve. He turned back to face her, the hardness that had been in his expression earlier had turned into something more tired. "You don't have to help. I'm not making you do anything. But if we stay here, Orion will find us both." He extended his hand again. "Will you come with me?"

Despite her narrowed gaze, she nodded, not speaking anymore. Truth be told, she was on edge, ready for betrayal and expecting it. The wasn’t the Ollie she knew, but she hid it all behind a smile, “Yeah, we should go!” She commented, careful not to force her voice.

Ollie nodded, somewhat relieved that she had agreed to go. But that was only the first step. "Take my hand. I'll take us through the forgotten realm so we can't be followed. Just promise me you'll stick close, okay? I can only protect you if we are in contact," he told her. He paused, his eyes glancing to the side, as he thought of one of her previous comments. "If you feel uncomfortable doing that, holding onto a piece of my coat should suffice..."

She looked extremely hesitant at first, when he offered his hand. But when he said she could grab his coat instead, she did just that, looking at him skeptically. Mistrust laced in her veins, and she was worried about where he was bringing her.
Still, she couldn’t keep silent, “You’re sure you don’t....remember me?” She questioned then, slowly, like she was afraid he may be mad at her asking, almost like a frightened child, ready to cower at any moment. But she held her ground, masking her features, she stood proud, but her voice did give away some of her feelings.

When she took hold of his coat, the world around them suddenly became a shade darker. Any living creature had a glow to them. Ollie and Shadow had their own glow as well, the only difference being that their glows were less noticeable than the glows of those on the other side. The blue crystal lit up at Ollie's neck, and it seemed to envelop them both with it's light. Since losing Holly to the forgotten realm once, he had developed a couple ways to avoid such a thing from happening again. The crystal was the newest extension to his newfound ability. He paused when Shadow asked the question. From what he could gather from both conversations with Evanesce and Shadow, Shadow and the one she called Cass were from another world. An alternate universe. One where he had died. "I'm sorry. I'm not the Ollie you once knew..." Ollie began to lead the way, trying to pick a pace they could both walk comfortably. Gradually, curiosity got the better of him. "But tell me... What was he like?"

(No, no, it’s fine!)
Shadow seemed to flinch when they entered the new realm, though it wasn’t entirely foreign to her. She could never access it, but Ollie, from her world, helped her on various occasions. She expected his response, looking away, sighing. But his question surprised her, and she nodded, she didn’t exactly trust him, but she did owe him answers. “He helped me escape the council,” she responded, not giving too much away, but smiling regardless. “He and Cas, and some of the others. They understood what I was, Why Orion was after me...after us. He protected Cassie and I with his life, we all fought hard to protect the stones, but it didn’t matter, the council found us.” She kept her face passive, her voice took on an emotionless tone, “The council punished us for our acts of betrayal to the god, Orion. He, like the others, was killed.”
She looked at him then, “But your not like him, not really.” She didn’t reveal whether that was a good or bad thing, she just acted like it was no big deal. Like it was a simple fable rather than a true event. Detachment, better than facing reality. “He was a brother, your a stranger,” she added, almost to quiet to hear, perhaps to soft to hear.m

Banshee looked to the image of Ringo. "Stop now or I'm going to come up there and make sure your ears start ringing, and it ain't gonna be from a noise." He growled, his hair slowly shifting to an orange.

(Okay good. XD) (Is it a definite factor, whether or not Hornet and Blink are in the secret hideout?)
"The council?" Ollie echoed quietly to himself while she spoke. "He sounds like he was a good man," he said after she finished. At least one of his alternate selves had been honourable. Not only that, but Shadow remembered him. Would his friends remember him when he died? Ollie proceeded to lead her through a wall. The wall seemed to ripple and become somewhat translucent when he moved through it.
--- (Hope I'm not getting too carried away. Tell me if you ever feel uncomfortable and I'll try to wrap it up faster. :3)
"What was that?" The image of Ringo flickered faintly into view and glanced in Banshee's direction. "Are you going against Alpha's command? I told you to stay out of it, but noooo. You insisted on staying here." Ringo's translucent image came close to Banshee. "You know what it means to go against Alpha, do you not?" He mumbled close to his ear. He glanced back in the direction of Rosie and the fake Jerome.
The image of Jerome had begun to take out other illusions of innocent civilians nearby. The tornado outside picked up in strength. "Stop this!" Rosie yelled, but the scene didn't stop. The image of Jerome grinned and began walking away, leaving death in his wake. "You aren't Jerome..." Rosie whispered, verbalizing the thought that had been clouding her mind since the very beginning. Static filled the air around her, and her hair began to rise around her.

(I dunno, perhaps?
It’s up to you, but I don’t know if Sam’s ever coming back to the WCRPF.)
Shadow laughed sourly, her thoughts seemed to be in a constant haze and mistrust. “He was, for a while. But all people turn dark eventually.” She just shrugged, following him through the wall, glancing at it in amazement. “But for the most part, he was a good person. That’s where he and I differed.”
She glanced forward, laughing softly, “So you can walk through walls?” She questioned, tempted to show off, though she knew that would be bad. So she just kept hold of his coat.

(Blink probably wouldn't join them unless Hornet wanted to. He would probably rather hide out with Zed. However... If they had a connection to Zed, then maybeee the two groups would join forces. :3 I can formulate an open ended plot if needed.)
Ollie blinked. Shadow seemed to be very pessimistic. Though he supposed nearly anyone who had been through what she had, would feel the same way. He was about to say something when she suddenly changed the topic, so he decided to let it go for now. He chuckled at her question, "Only in the forgotten realm. Here, even the world can forget you." His smile faded into something more serious. "But if you let too much of the world forget you, sometimes there's no way back." He walked through some more walls and into the room where Ress often worked. His pace slowed to a stop and he took in a breath. "I haven't told the others about you yet. Not really. They've been kind of edgy since all of this started." He glanced back at her with a little smile. "You ready?"

Shadow chuckled at his response, noticing his shift in attitude, but not commenting much. Though she added it to her notes about him, someone he knew forgot something, she assumed. Or he did. She then stopped along with him, his question had her gulping slightly. “I mean, I should warn you, I don’t exactly have good control of-“ she stopped, smiling then, “Um, yeah, let’s just do it.”

He should have known better than to leave them out of the loop, but he hadn't wanted to risk their hopes and concerns. Hopefully they'd understand.

Light Ok now what genius? Banshee was honestly shocked by the lack of reflex coming from the girl. He would have to keep that in mind. But now he was just falling down with the girl in his arms and he knew he had to think fast. Looking away from the building he let out another screech. And because he was blind as heck he didn't see the side of the building as he smacked into it. Great... Lioncl Boris simply shrugged, not wanting to try and dissuade him anymore. "Suit yourself then." He replied just before getting kicked. "Honestly," he began, shaking his head to clear it. "if everyone were so stubbornly relentless as you the world wouldn't be near as the same." Just like before he froze himself over to create an armour type coating. He blew a blast of air from his palms again and this time he didn't stop until he was directly over a street of people. He then dropped down to the street to wait for his adversary. "You sure you wanna continue this?" sorry for disappearing been busy with work. Black Friday week was hell) Masaki scowled "Shut up and fight you damn bastard. I don't like repeating myself" he said as he shielded himself as a blast of cold air burst from Boris' palms. He had been expecting an attack but realized he was flying away. Masaki quickly took off after him and when he saw where Boris had landed the scowl on his face intensified "You damn coward. YOu that scared to get into a fight that you'd involve a bunch of innocent people? You really are a piece of work, you know that?"

(It's cool,I haven't been active much lately either.)
Boris smiled. "Yes I know,I don't want to fight. And when I don't want to do something I don't do it." And that was true. He'd been hired to do some pretty nasty stuff. Now killing he could do,but the other things.... Well let's just say they aren't anywhere close to that. "So I'm giving you two options. Either you leave me alone,or you attack me and possibly kill these people."

crap i did it again)
Masaki gritted his teeth as he looked around for a way to stop Boris from attacking any civilians. Fortunately seeing a man come out of nowhere while they are on fire is enough to spook some of the civilians into running away. That and a man coverd in ice was probably triggering their flight response "So you're willing to go around and kill innocents just to do that? But what's to stop me from attacking you after you attack them?" He asked. He was trying to stall for time as he was trying to wrack his brain to formulate some type of plan. He didn't know the full extent of Boris' powers but he figured he would need to rely on his sight to be able control his ice like he usually does.

(Sorry, been busy with school and finals.) “I’m good.” She stressed, glaring at him to prove her point. Though her eyes betrayed her uncertainty, a lack of confidence in herself. She wasn’t his friend, because she wasn’t the girl he knew, and he wasn’t her friend, because he wasn’t the boy she remembered.
Oh what a loop to be caught in. “I just want to go hom-back to the temple.” She huffed, wincing at the word home, she didn’t even have one.

(It's all good. Me too. XD It's great to be free at last!)
Ollie watched Shadow, and felt a sad twinge when the images flashed back into his mind. Did she really want to return there? Or did she want everything to turn back to the way it was before all this craziness happened? "If that's what you want, maybe you can one day. When all this is figured out... These people are the smartest I know. I'm sure they'll know a way you can get back." He repositioned himself in front of Shadow and took in a breath. "Just stay behind me until I can work things out, okay?" Now, how to go about this without giving anyone a heart attack... or without causing unnecessary conflict. Well, as they always said, the only way through is through. "Hopefully the alarm won't go off this time-" he muttered to himself, but with Shadow with him, he wouldn't be surprised if it did. He entered the remembered realm, an uncomfortable smile on his face. Surely they would have noticed him gone by now. Hopefully they wouldn't be too upset. "Hey," he greeted the people in the room with a little wave. "I'm back."

She listened intently, her eyes flickering off to the side as she sighed, did she want to go back? No. But she didn’t want to be controlled again, by Orion, by the council, or by Ollie and his friends. She felt like she couldn’t open up or trust, so she just grumbled under her breath, ”Can’t go back to a dead world”.
Instead of granting him with any real response, she gave a noncommittal grumble of agreement. And suddenly, they were back. While her mind was spinning from everything that happened, she found herself glaring at the occupants of the room.
A girl with dark hair, with eyes the color of the night sky, who she easily recognized. She was suddenly clenching her fist tightly, her throat closing. Ress scared her, it seemed, as she was backing up, darkness seeming to pool. Her mismatched eyes of varying tones(magenta and lilac) flickered to the floor then, trying her best to keep her cool.
”You’re back!” Ress cheered, smiling brightly at her friend, though it seemed to fall as the alarms started buzzing, causing her to curse under her breath. “Sorry,” she commented, turning around, it seemed she hadn’t noticed the new girl yet.
Enix sighed in complete annoyance, rolling her eyes at their antics. “Well, that’s lovely, isn’t it.” She then turned to glare at Ollie, “And you, gone so long, what did you think you were doing?”

Ollie scratched at his afro and laughed lightly. "You know... Just checking things out. There's only so much information we can get cooped up in here." He could sense unease coming from Shadow behind him. Better get introductions done quick before anything could escalate... "And... I- Well, I found someone else to join our group." Thousands of ways he could have done this better swirled through his head. Funny, how it was always afterwards he thought of these things. "At least for the time. Until it's safe for her again," he added quickly, the words nearly pouring from his mouth.
(Heheh. The nervous side of Ollie.)

Enix sighed dramatically, rolling her eyes before turning back to her desk. She wasn’t very friendly, not to anyone but her friends, and even with them she took up a serious nature.
”Oh, I can’t wait to meet them!” Ress mentioned, turning to step around the nervous Ollie. Though she immediately frowned, turning to Ollie with a skeptical look.
“Um, where’s the newbie?” She questioned.
Behind Ollie, Shadow had watched, almost losing control of her powers, so she did what she was best at, as a homunculus, ghost....whatever, and went invisible and intangible. It was her go to ability, to be unseen, the one she truly had control of. So when Ress turned, she was gone, all but a figure of darkness, out of sight, out of mind.

Ollie let out a breath and immediately relaxed. They were fine with it. Good. It might take a while for Enix to warm up, but that was normal. He was pondering how to go about explaining all the details when Enix's voice broke his thoughts. "Huh?" He turned and glanced around. "She was right here.... Shadow?" Had he left her in the forgotten realm?! Alarm flashed across his face, and he entered the forgotten realm. There. He could see her glowing presence, but she wasn't in the forgotten realm. Whew... good. That would've been a bad mistake to make. Now that his alarm had passed, he wondered if this was one of her abilities. Invisibility perhaps. He returned to the remembered realm, only a few seconds later in passing. "Hey Shadow, it's alright. These are my friends. The ones I was talking about. They won't hurt you." He knew she had seemed somewhat shy, but he wasn't expecting this. He reached out lightly with his mind. He knew she was able to resist him when she wanted to, so he just came like a mental nudge, a quiet knock on the door.
(Ollie talking to air. XD Might make an interesting picture.) (I hope it's alright that he can see her from the forgotten realm.)

(That’s fine :3)
Ress watched Ollie like he was crazy, her eyes wide as she looked at Enix, who just watched confused and annoyed, “He’s crazy...”
Shadow watched him, her eyes narrowed as she raised an eyebrow, before glancing down and sighing. Sometimes she did the whole thing on accident. This time, it was probably by accident, but not that she minded. Then she felt that gentle tug at her mind, her eyes sharply glaring at him, even if he couldn’t see it. She blocked him out again, shutting her eyes. “Stop,” She whispered, clutching at her head, her eyes narrowing at him, before they went wide.
She then snickered softly, still invisible, and turned off the lights, causing Ress to screech out in alarm. She then picked up a simple glass, one that looked simple, that sat by Enix, and dropped it promptly on the ground. Both Enix and Ress stood up and ran over to Ollie, eyes wide. Then Shadow appeared, a haunting smile on her lips as she bowed, “Hello!”
The two other girls screamed.

Ollie felt her push back, and he quickly withdrew. But the atmosphere quickly changed. The lights turned off, and Ollie glanced around in confusion, quickly followed by a sinking feeling. The sound of breaking glass made his heart jump, but when Enix and Ress both made it to his side, he felt somewhat better. They were okay, which meant Shadow likely didn't have any intent to harm. What had gotten into her, anyways? By the time Shadow spoke, Ollie's smile had vanished, replaced by a slight frown. "You're not very good at first impressions, are you..." Ollie's mental senses heightened, and he stepped in front of Enix and Ress. Was bringing her here a mistake?

Shadow glanced at Ress, a dark look crossed her face, as she hummed slightly. “Dunno, Ollie, never really got to meet anyone.” She hummed, looked at her hand and rubbing a fragment of the glass away from her, flicking it away. “I was a prisoner most of my life, dead for most of it. I’m...oh what’s the phrase...” her expression was sour still, “Frozen in time!”
”I change my mind, she’s crazy,” Ress commented, though not too frightened, “She looks like-“
”-Holly” Enix finished, and Shadow visibly flinched at the name, glaring at the three.
”Don’t compare to that witch,” Shadow grumbled, voice in a growl, “I’m not like her. I’m not a stalker, I’m not a murderer, I’m not...I’m not like her.”

(Aw, thanks Sam! You too! ^^ I hope everything's going well on your side.) --- Ollie's eyes watched Shadow, a bit of sadness flickering in their depths. When Enix and Ress started their sentence, Ollie turned to warn them, but it was too late. It was already said. He flinched, knowing what was coming. "Okay, she's not Holly," Ollie quickly put in, after Shadow's grumble. He hands were partly outstretched through the air as if that would bring some sort of peace to the area. He gave Enix and Ress a look in attempt to warn them not say anything more on the topic. Stepping to one side, he took in breath. "This is Shadow," he introduced, motioning in the direction of Shadow. He then motioned in Ress and Enix's direction, "Shadow, this is Enix and Ress. Just please, no more scares. We're on edge enough as it is." He looked directly at Enix and Ress. "And I've found out more about Orion. We have a lot to talk about."

”Well, welcome!” Ress responded, she tended to be much more trusting than Enix. A smile on her face, though a bit stretched, “Welcome to the team!”
”Yeah, Welcome.” Enix commented, offering a smile that was obviously forced. “It’s...well, uh, it’s something to get to meet you.” She would have said nice, but her nerves were still frazzled. She turned to Ollie, “What is it?” She questioned.
Shadow didn’t even give Ollie a chance to respond, her eyes wavering at the three of them, “Ollie has used the souls of my world and the powers he’s stolen from you, Enix and Ress, to create minions called ‘Shades’. He has the complete control of them, and has destroyed this other universe in hopes of conquering yours.” She commented, glancing at Ollie, a brief little glare. She held her hand up, a bracelet on her hand lighting up and sending up a hologram, showing an image of the ruined world, statues that symbolized people, usually children, lining streets. A world, it seemed, frozen in time. “By taking all the kinetic energy from my world, he has gained even more power. He plans to keep feeding on Worlds, until nothing is left but Orion and Orion alone.” She clarified. “You have little to no hope of stopping him, hopefully you have a place you can run to?” She questioned Ollie then.

Ollie blinked in surprise when Shadow spoke, but he listened intently. So that was what she meant by frozen in time... He met her eyes with a steady gaze. "I'm not running away from this," he replied. He'd been in forced hiding most of his life. Now that he was free of it, he wasn't going back. He didn't want the others to experience the darkness of fear and loneliness more than they had to. Robin, Arien, Kyoko, and Daphne were still out there.
He didn't understand what Orion was trying to get out of all this. It was similar to the mistake Holly made but on a larger scale. "We will succeed, one way or another, we will... because running isn't an option. If we run, what would be left to live for?" He turned to Ress and Enix. "Everything Evanesce said checks out. The blue crystal can counter corruption, but I don't think it will work when Orion is around. I've been told we need something else, something Orion has. A stone." He glanced at Shadow as he spoke. "From what I heard, your world has stones instead of crystals, am I correct?"

Shadow listened to what he had to say, though she almost smiled at his words. He was so loyal to his friends, that hadn’t changed. But it fell, a sigh escaping her. ‘I don’t expect you to. But you...you shouldn’t pay for this, not you, not any of you.” She looked at the others, smiling a bit shyly now, but it flickered way. She was mistrustful and traumatized.
“That’s a nice sentiment,” is all she said to his comment about succeeding. She didn’t say much more, though she averted her eyes.
But she froze, the hologram fizzling out as she lowered her wrist, eyebrows furrowed. “How did you-who is-what?” She questioned, almost laughing and crying all the same, “It doesn’t matter, yet, we have stones. But most of them are gone. Orion has the sunstone. He probably has the bloodstone too. There’s also a moonstone, but it’s gone....it’s, well, it’s a part of someone. Me.” She admitted, shrugging. “The sunstone was like an amalgamation of other crystals, it correlated with the sun, the rise of the stars and daylight, it was light, it was supposed to represent the hope of our world.” She showed another hologram, of the yellow and orange crystal worn by a male who looked a lot like Ollie, perhaps a few years younger, then she smiled ruefully, “The moonstone was the opposite, it was the moon, the darkness, and the night. It was fear.” The blue, purple, and black stone showed up, worn by a silouhette of darkness, before melting like swirls into the figure, and fading to a new one. A red and green crystal, speckled, odd. “And the bloodstone correlated with pain, blood, control, it was dangerous, relating to the living rather than the moon and sun. It was life, but it’s gone.” For a moment, a female silhouette wore the crystal, eyes white and full of tears, before falling apart.
The image went dark again, and she turned away. “So, that’s it, there’s nothing more to do now.” She hummed, “Cassiopeia would know what to do, but Orion has her. The stones of my world won’t help you, your crystals won’t save you. I’m sorry.”
