There's probably been a post about this before, but who did you think the Fourth Cat in the prophecy was? Who did you hope it was? Were you disappointed with the outcome?
Discuss.

I think that it shouldn't have been Firestar, really anyone else would've been better. like Hollyleaf, Ivypool, or Flametail for instance.

I know! It felt so anti-climatic. I was thinking maybe Ivypool. Who could be better to stop the Dark Forest, you know? Considering the fact that she actually acted as a spy and helped other Dark Forest trainees actually turn against Brokenstar and all of those baddies...

I'd hoped it was Ivypool, and that she could negate the abilities of StarClan and Dark Forest cats.
I was fine with it being Firestar until it turned out that being the Fourth meant nothing and he just needed to help the Clans, which he would have done anyway.

It could have been literally Purdy and have been a better choice than Firestar

What made Firestar such a bad choice for the fourth cat prophecy in my opinion was that they literally had to journey to the mountains to get the prophecy in the first place. We built up that prophecy for 1-2 books, only to have it end so abruptly and with such an obvious answer. They could have stayed by the lake and figured out he was the one, you know? :/

I freaking hate what a Mary Sue Firestar was. I seriously thought it would be Hollyleaf, like Lionblaze said. She was my favourite cat at the time, so I was a bit bias. But her or Ivypool would make great canidates. My biggest problem with Firestar is how he always gets shoved in everything. In Bramblestar's Storm he even delivers a prophecy: "When water meets blood, blood will rise". Literally any StarClan cat could deliver that prophecy. Goldenflower would be a better candidate, she gets no attention! And considering the prophecy is about how kin rise, this would make more sense. AAAAAaaa!! Screw you, Firestar! I guess they had to make him the fourth cat to kill him off. Which, is smart. The great Firestar wouldn't want to be remembered for dying of greencough. Or whitecough. Or yellowcough. Or whatever colored cough. Although being killed by a tree isn't much better. Really, much like Mππππ πππππ said, it was such a bad and obvious choice.
