a place for me to put old art
This art is mostly OLD. The covers for Ash to Ash and The Calm are newer than the other stuff here. There will also be some stuff here that's better than at least most of what I've drawn in 2015-17 (I generally consider my avatar, drawn in 2014, to be the best thing I've ever drawn, but I might have to reconsider after looking back at my Will C. Morgen fanart that I drew for mintedstar/fur and I didn't mean for this to become an advertisement but it is now so go read her comic Poisoning the Sea).
I used to refer to this kind of thing as "hope," and I guess I still will call it hope when I show my friend. I'll be honest, this thread is mostly for the laughs, but I guess there is also a message here that you just have to draw a bunch and you'll get better.
I mean, sometimes your art will go in a direction you'll later regret. See above note about my art peaking in 2014. I honestly think that, at least discounting the Will picture, the three things I've drawn that look the best are the Thunder in my avatar, the Spite where he has a bell on his neck and there's a picture of a campfire integrated into the background, and the cover of Time, and all of those were drawn in 2014.
But at the same time I've definitely been growing as an artist. Recently I think I've been on a good track. Getting more of that 2014 look with the 2017 acquired skills. I'm not great, but I've kept at it, and in some ways I think I have a better attitude about art now that I can look at things I've drawn yesterday and laugh. I used to have a bigger ego about my art than I do now, and I guess some of that was defensive, but it really didn't help make the Art Forum a better place when I got all defensive about it. I do enjoy my pettiness now, though. (Anything digital and lineless drawn mid-2012 or later was at least partially to tick people off. With the exception of Falling Petals, which was to keep a consistent style with Dappled Leaves, to which it was a sequel.)
I want you guys to laugh at this. Listen, one time in OTD there was a fad where you asked people to criticize you. I posted a fad thread hoping to get advice on how to get along with people better on the forums. I'm pretty sure I only got one response that was anything other than "your avatar is confusing/bad and you've had it for a long time." I mean, I was a little disappointed that I didn't get anything ELSE, but, like…
Basically, don't discount yourself. Any time you can look back at a drawing you've made and see places where it's wrong, that means you know what you're doing and you know how to make it better. It may take time, but you've got it. For all the pictures in your past that you think are garbage, any artist you look up to has at least as many.
You might never be satisfied with your art, but that's okay. You can still be happy with it.
Now forget my 3 A.M. rambling and look at all this trash!
anything written in blue is something that I KNOW I have more art for, though I also may end up updating some others if I find more pertinent art

RockClan CallsRockClan Calls was initially thought up in fourth grade. It took place in "the river territories," as in not the Forest or the Lake from the canon series, and the five Clans there were called HailClan, RainClan, SnowClan, SleetClan, and GraupelClan (mapping fairly directly to ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, and SkyClan respectively). Their version of StarClan was called RockClan, and they were fabled to live in a magic valley in the mountains. Their version of the Place of No Stars was StormClan. The plot of RockClan Calls, essentially, was that cats purporting to be from RockClan appeared to every single warrior apprentice in all of the Clans (in the original draft GraupelClan did not exist) and told them they needed to go on a big journey. Many apprentices died on the journey because I was a Redwall fan. When they finally reached their destination, it was revealed that the spirits had actually been StormClan cats in their magic forest, and the apprentices entering the cursed forest allowed the StormClan spirits to escape. The apprentices then had to race back to the Clans to warn them that StormClan was coming and assist in the fight. Whoever the main character was (depending on the version) landed the decisive strike against Wetwhisker. Oh, Wetwhisker. Brief aside: Wetwhisker featured in many different stories and fanfictions that I was writing. I think she canonically spanned multiple universes, as did four other magic afterlife cats (good guys Bearscar, Petalheart, Spiderpaw; bad guy Shrewpaw). Wetwhisker was basically pure evil? Anyway. The very first draft of RC (before it even had a title) was a tom named Darkeye (HailClan). Later I decided that Autumnheart (also HailClan) would make a better main character, and canonically she has been the main character ever since. However, in sixth grade my friend "Hawk" asked me to write a story about Bonestar, leader of ShadowClan, the first of eleven Bonestars. Initially I started writing without a clear plan, but the next year I decided to scrap my story beginning and rewrite RC with Bonestar as the main character. I was very petty while writing it, but I'll spare you the details. From now on, RC means RockClan Calls (real version or general), and BSRC means Bonestar RockClan Calls. Here's a link to page two of the thread, where you can see the pictures I gave to "Hawk" of virtually every character in BSRC.I also integrated ShadowClan into the mix. ShadowClan's presence was retroactively made canon, as was Bonestar's presence on the journey, relationship with Autumnstar (though in "Hawk"'s continuity, the relationship is just peachy, while in the RC continuity, the relationship was horrible, Autumnstar agreed to it because of guilt, and they had a messy divorce that included a custody battle with a foregone conclusion--Autumnstar kept three of the kits, while Bonestar kept the one that looked like him; Bonestar is now the RC continuity's main villain despite being the hero of BSRC). Again, Autumnstar is the official main character, but Bonestar is featured in some art as though he is the main character because of the version I gave "Hawk." Please note that basically the very last thing that happened in the game we played was that Autumnstar became leader of HailClan, so I don't think there has been ANY art made of her since her becoming leader was made canon. I will try to call characters what they were called at the time when the picture takes place, but I also want to make it obvious what rank they eventually achieved? On to the art. first character pictures all images created and last modified 5/13/10 the comic (poorly drawn blood, Snow's missing eye is kind of gross) oldest image created and last modified 7/4/12 most recent image created and last modified 8/20/12 Official map of the territories. Stream-crossings is the Fourtrees equivalent, and the Moon Den is the Moonstone equivalent. As you can see, ShadowClan's territory overlaps with Twolegplace. HailClan really did already border Twolegplace, and yes, it made sense to put ShadowClan next to HailClan if AutumnxBone was going to be a thing, but I still feel like I didn't have to put ShadowClan in the Twolegplace. I promise I don't hate canon ShadowClan. Besides that, the territories so obviously match to the canon ones. I mean, the positions are switched as to who's in the northwest, who's in the southwest, etc., but HailClan has forest, RainClan has a little forest and a lot of water, SnowClan has forest and pine forest, GraupelClan lives in a gorge, and SleetClan has no forest and is physically closest to the Moonstone equivalent. Springfur sometimes met Rivertail in the river, which meant SnowClan and HailClan had to share at least a small amount of border in the water. And the river being the HailClan/RainClan border has always been canon. That said, in-universe, what kind of border is that for Stream-crossings!? Also, what kind of name is Stream-crossings? It's not even consistently capitalized. That's Autumnstar! I'm not going to comment on the rest of the comic because instead I'll be providing a transcript in case the words are difficult to read. I was not always conscientious about colors agreeing. white text: prologue blue narration: Sleet, Snow, Hail, Rain, and Graupel were littermates. blue narration: They were born in mountains far from the Clans, and traveled together. red narration: Hail took his strength from physical power; a natural leader, he considered himself above the other four. white narration: Snow was skillful at hunting unseen, and he fought viciously under pressure. purple narration: Graupel was alert and agile, the best climber of the five. blue narration: Rain was clever and wily--proud and daring, she was swift in the water. gray narration: Sleet was quick and shrewd, and she could weasel her way out of danger. yellow narration: The brothers and sisters took refuge in a gorge during a terrible storm. green narration: They were found the next morning by a group of cats that intrigued them… green narration: SkyClan fascinated them with its code of honor, green narration: and the rogues left a moon later with plans for a sixth Clan. ice blue narration: Unfortunately the five fell to fighting. dark blue narration: Graupel was terribly scarred and Snow's left eye was torn out. dark gray narration: Sleet finally ended the battle. gray narration: She didn't win, of course--Rain and Hail were much more powerful--but Sleet was the first to see sense. gray narration: If there was no way to create a single Clan between the five of them, she reasoned, then why not build five Clans? It would take longer for the Clans to become powerful, but once complete, each Clan would be stronger. black narration: So five new Clans were created. red narration: Hail took the area most lush with undergrowth, where he was the only one to fight through easily, and where there were most enemies to drive away. white narration: Snow preferred a mix of sparse land and thick forests, full of rocks and pitfalls, where nimble cats could hide easily. blue narration: Rain took the section of forest with the most streams and the wettest ground. purple narration: Graupel made her home in a ravine, where her strong paws were an advantage. gray narration: Sleet chose relatively unfrosted hills where she would see any attackers coming before they arrived. brown narration: StarClan did not watch over these cats. Instead, their ancestors lived in a lush forest: a forest hidden in a valley near the summit of the tallest mountain nearby. RockClan, they were called, for the stone mountains watched over the Clans started by cats who had lived in them. yellow narration: The five called their less favorable ancestors StormClan, for the storm had driven them to fighting long before, and the Clans should never forget. white text: chapter one Bluekit: My name is Scratchstar and I'm old. Autumnkit: Can I try? Autumnkit: My name is Scratchstar and my face is weird. Bluekit: Your turn, Streamkit! Streamkit: No thanks. Bluekit: Okay, I'll go again. Streamkit: Wait, how about this? Streamkit: My name is Scratchstar and I'm sitting on the Highstone watching the kits. Bluekit: WHAT!? Autumnkit's thoughts: I'm just glad I didn't say "ugly." Scratchstar: Bluekit…Autumnkit… Mottlepelt: ? Scratchstar: Kits will be kits. I get it, okay? But soon you'll be apprentices and that kind of behavior won't be tolerated. white text: *crash* Scratchstar: Raggedpaw! Darkpaw! I told you to fix the elders' den, not destroy it! Does Shadowpaw have to supervise you again? Mottlepelt: ??? Scratchstar: Go see if Snowear and Sorrelpaw need any help. Bluekit: Whoa… Autumnkit's thoughts: Snowear. They say she's four times as old as Scratchstar. I can't imagine what it would be like to live so long. Sorrelpaw: …Hi. Bluekit: Scratchstar sent us here. Autumnkit's thoughts: Why did Scratchstar have to send us to the medicine den? I don't like it here. Shadowpaw: SORRELPAW! Sorrelpaw: Shadowpaw? Shadowpaw: Raggedpaw got hurt trying to jump over the camp barrier. Autumnkit's thoughts: Raggedpaw? Shadowpaw: What in StormClan are you staring at? Autumnkit: Sorry, Shadowpaw. Autumnkit's thoughts: I don't like how she's always yelling "StormClan." What if she makes the spirits mad? We're really not supposed to shout "StormClan" when we're angry. Sorrelpaw: There. Starpaw: Hey, Sorrelpaw, sorry to bother you… …but Darkpaw just got hurt jumping into the camp. Shadowpaw: Those stupid toms! Why can't they just do what they're supposed to for once instead of always having to get hurt? Bluekit: We might want to leave before Shadowpaw yells at us. Autumnkit's thoughts: Raggedpaw isn't stupid. Shadowpaw, in italics: Stupid kits, always getting in trouble… Pfft. Autumnkit: So who wants to be grumpy now? Streamkit: Ooh! Me! Bluekit: Me first. My name is Shadowpaw… white text: chapter two Bluekit, in italics: Three…two…one… Bluekit, in a big spiky font: WAKE UP, SCRATCHSTAR! Scratchstar: Wha-- Scratchstar: Bluekit! Bluekit: I'm six moons old! Scratchstar: Oh. Right. Scratchstar: *yawn* RockClan Calls Clan banners and symbols in their representative colors Note that the colors used for the names on the banners match the colors used for these Clan symbols, as well as the narration in the comic about each leader (i.e. when the narration focuses on Hail the words are in red). All art used is official Warriors art. If you look at the images, then all of the living-cat Clans have the founders on the banners! Graupel, for some reason, has purplish eyes, but it is CANON that she has green eyes. If I had to guess, either I forgot that her eyes were green or I couldn't figure out how to change the eyes to green without ruining the image. Additionally, Snow has an amber eye when canonically he has dark gray (though amber is really better). Maybe I just didn't care? Of course, Graupel is whoever that is on the right, Hail is the grayscale Hawkfrost with vermilion eyes, Rain is the washing Feathertail, Tall Shadow is the black cat on the left, Sleet is the nervous cat with bright yellow eyes, and Snow is the angry Brightheart. Remember that ShadowClan was retconned in. ShadowClan's Warriors canon color is red as evidenced by the website, but I had already given red to HailClan. GraupelClan I'm glad I gave Graupel green eyes rather than purplish to match this Clan symbol. Purple was chosen because it was the best balance between "colors associated with snow" and "colors associated with magically communicating with ancestors," because GraupelClan is most known out of all of the river-territory Clans for its closeness to RockClan. SleetClan is technically physically closest to the mountains, but GraupelClan lives in a gorge (how original) and after Wetwhisker destroyed the Clan (yes, her) the stragglers went to the mountains to survive. HailClan Red. Like blood, and also similar to the vermilion of Hail's eyes. RainClan Well, it is called RainClan, they spend a whole lot of time in the water, and I gave Rain blue eyes. So… RockClan Brown like the mountains. "Rock" seems brown where "Stone" seems gray, so that worked out. ShadowClan Black since red was taken and black is, well, how shadows are? SleetClan Gray because it's sleet and gray made the most sense. Also, I didn't check it, but I'm willing to bet this is the same shade of gray that all five founders have in the comic (remember, they're littermates). I briefly planned for SleetClan's color to be yellow because Sleet had yellow eyes, but then I decided yellow would be StormClan. SnowClan White like snow. If I had to put the symbols against a white background I would change SnowClan's to green, but only out of necessity. Logically there's not really any reason for SnowClan to have green. Also, those are some ugly snowflakes. I really didn't feel like I should go back and fix those? StormClan Yellow. Like lightning. other art (as of 7/23) Autumnpaw and Raggedpaw on a beach. These pictures were the "official" pictures that I drew of every single cat mentioned in the Bonestar story and emailed to "Hawk" (just so there was no way she could picture them differently than I did). I liked these two and put them in this image. It was very strongly disliked by the other Art Forumers. Oh well. Joke's on them; here it is again. created and last modified 6/23/12 This is supposed to be Autumnpaw, but I guess I either forgot her official design or changed it for a while? created and last modified 6/26/12 Mottlestar. This was the last straw for the Art Forum pretending to like my art. I think this was the first picture I ever posted that got no positive comments while still getting plenty of negative comments? Maybe it was the one after this? Anyway, yeah, not well received. Too bad! created and last modified 5/27/12 until I covered my name The jade green blob is where I had my real full name. This was the cover I printed out to use for BSRC. drawn on the last day of fifth grade; file created 9/22/10 which was about when I learned to use the scanner I got fancy markers and pencils on the last day of elementary school and immediately set to work on this drawing. The white corner is where I put my real full name. Nightfur was referred to as Nightcrow in both versions of the epilogue (RC and BSRC), but given the ridge on his back, he has to be the same character. Others are straightforward. In case you can't read it, though, top left is Nightfur pinning down Whitewillow; top right is Moonkit, Bonestar's sister; bottom left is Bonestar and Autumnheart; and bottom right is Midnightclaw. small update (7/25) Lostpaw, who died in a frozen river. This image is of her hopping on ice floes to rescue Coldkit. She successfully saves Coldkit (obviously) but then slips and dies. In any version with Frozenkit, she also saves Frozenkit. Darkeye. Initially this was just a drawing of a Tonkinese cat, but I really wanted it to be Darkeye, so I did my best to erase the teal from the eyes, then covered over what was left with orange. See, Streamsky's design was heavily based on a Silverstream picture I saw on the Internet. However, I then could not find the image again to make sure the design was accurate. Recently I used TinEye to find it (turns out I still had it stored in my computer), so here's the link to the image on DeviantArt: reaper-neko.deviantart.com/art/silverstream-128657140 You can see the, uh, "influence," by which I mean "attempt at straight-up copying the design." For what it's worth, this image contains Flamefur, who was "based on" the Fireheart: And this image contains Autumnstar (Firestar), Bluemink (Bluestar), and Darkeye (Dustpelt): www.deviantart.com/art/Warrior-Cats-96256197I was bad back in the day. post-RockClan Calls continuityThis section is about things that are officially canon but were mostly declared canon and not actually part of the game (or only part of the game right at the very beginning). Coldstar had a "signature" attack: he would make a big scratch beneath his opponent's right eye. He made sure to leave deep, noticeable scars so that everyone would see how many cats he personally had wounded. This is him scarring Mottlestar of HailClan. Mottlestar is Mottlepelt in the comic above. Bonestar IV. I think this one was Bonefeather? "Hawk" was very clear on there being eleven total Bonestars--her precious Bonefur/star and ten successors. His son was named Boneclaw (and I made him an all-around decent guy, though troubled and liable to continue leading a rather sloppily composed Clan). Because I got the idea that the Bonestars were all supposed to be Scary Sues (and I think she implied that they were all toms but she never actually stated this), I was determined that Bonefeather was a gentle cat who initially trained as a medicine cat before duty called her to serve as a warrior and it turned out she was a pretty good one. And knowing me this one was probably Bonewhisker. Bonewhisker had a strong desire for adventure that led her to explore as-yet uncharted areas of Twolegplace. Canonically Autumnstar and Bonestar had a fraught relationship because Autumnstar did not like Bonestar in any way. Bonestar demanded to be able to raise one of his children. Apparently no one found it suspicious that one of Autumnheart's kits was named Bonekit and looked almost exactly like the ShadowClan leader. No one, that is, except for the amazingly perceptive Streamsky, who figured out her sister's deep and well-kept secret! Anyway, this is Bonestar meeting his kits and choosing Bonekit as the kit he wanted to raise in ShadowClan. From the fact that this cat is named Bone claw I can tell that this is Bonestar II. He inherited a falling-apart Clan from his incompetent and slightly evil father, and he was always the favorite growing up but lived in a scary place, so he wasn't the best leader, but he was a good enough guy. Boneclaw: Vinestar! Vinestar: Yes, Boneclaw. Boneclaw: Leafheart… Leafheart: With this life I give you compassion. Coldstar being threatening. I forgot his design was based on Kimba. By the way, Coldstar was just a kit when the apprentice journey happened. He followed the apprentices on the journey anyway. In some versions his sister Frozenclaw was with him. The apprentices eventually found him and protected him from there on out. Frozenclaw, Coldstar's sister and the deputy. Her time as deputy lasted until (we were at the Y) "Ash," who had had enough of Frozenclaw being rude on the border to get HailClan cats to trespass into an ambush, decided that Rivertail killed a passing venomous snake and buried its fangs into Frozenclaw's shoulder. (She tried to pull the same stunt against Coldstar, who was there for revenge, but I decided that Coldstar managed to pull my character Streamsky into the way, and Streamsky also died. Streamsky was one of "Ash"'s favorite characters. She told me that if I undid Streamsky's death then she would let me undo Frozenclaw's death, but I told her it was too late. update (7/28) (badly drawn pencil blood) Bonestar: ShadowClan… Bonestar: ATTACK! narration: It's over before it's even begun. I don't know which Bonestar this is; the design is different, but I think this might just have been an old design for Bonestar I…? Streamsky. Muddyclaw. Salt(paw) on the boat. The words aren't even important. One of the Bonestars. Maybe this Bonestar was Bonefeather? post-RockClan Calls gameI'll have to hunt this down in my boxes full of art. We (primarily myself, my sister "Ash," and my friend "Fish," though "Hawk" joined us once in a blue moon and we may have occasionally included other people) played a game where we pretended to be characters from this universe. I'm here to show art, not talk about stories, but the basic gist of it was that Ashtail's character would have forbidden relationship drama while my characters incited battles. Coldstar of RainClan was an antagonist, but to be fair, Ashtail's characters always got talked into trespassing before any RainClan cats attacked them. Later when ShadowClan was retconned into the setting Bonestar became the main antagonist instead. art (as of 7/25) (poorly drawn colored pencil blood) Doveheart, the blind warrior of SnowClan who was just a little too young to go on the journey. Doveheart's two brothers were Springfur and Brackenfoot. Brackenfoot, Doveheart's littermate. Springfur was Rivertail's mate. Brackenfoot also had a crush on Rivertail basically the entire time. "Ash" hated Brackenfoot, so eventually she had Rivertail brutally murder Brackenfoot. With his dying breath he confessed his forbidden love for her. "Ash" tried to take back killing Brackenfoot, but I told her it was too late. I believe he was deputy at the time of his death. Two daughters of Bluemink and Darkeye (they also had a daughter named Midnightclaw and a son named Flameclaw). As the picture implies, Saltspeckle is a bully (emotionally and physically), and Brooktail is an easy target. Saltspeckle was named after Saltpaw, a RainClan cat from the apprentice journey who had a mutual crush with Darkeye back then. While playing hide-and-seek on the docks, Saltpaw was one of the cats hiding on a boat, and the boat set sail with her still on it. She was presumed dead, but she had a pretty decent life, though she missed the Clans. Creekpaw/foot, one of Rivertail's sons, being apprenticed to Creeksplash (HailClan). Sedgefur, the SleetClan medicine cat. Her left leg is different colors because I was trying to shade the picture. Never forget which crayons you used to color part of a cat. Brackenfoot and Rivertail. The cat in the foreground facing away is Rivertail, who is currently confessing that Springfur of SnowClan is the father of her kits. The pointed cat in the background is Sunfoot, her son, who did not know until just now that his father wasn't from HailClan. The white cat in the middle is Snowear, the medicine cat who lived to some obscene age. I think the tabby on the left is Mottlestar and the spotted cat on the right is his deputy and brother Muddyclaw, but I could have that backward as neither cat actually has Mottlestar's exact design. Springfur himself. Springfur was a smallish calico who befriended Rivertail at the border back when they were both apprentices. Now, it is established worldbuilding that every winter, SnowClan raids other Clans' camps. Springfur was sent as a distraction many times to make sure Riverpaw/tail didn't notice that SnowClan cats were crossing the border. "Ash" never realized that Springfur just wasn't a good guy. I mean, he acted friendly and had a sassy side, but he was also…specifically deceiving Rivertail so that his Clan could attack hers? Her first and third litters were his. (The second was Darkeye's.) Meanwhile, Brackenfoot was kind of a jerk sometimes, and he went along with the morally dubious-to-outright-wrong things SnowClan did, but I really think he was a more upstanding cat than Springfur on the whole. He also tried to get over Rivertail rather than pursue a forbidden relationship. And he was the one who got brutally murdered, while Rivertail is still in love with Springfur to this day. Doveheart had a lot of anger, and she also went along with the SnowClan raids and such, but she was at least as "good" as Brackenfoot. Rowanfall (one of Autumnstar and Bonestar's sons, along with Floepatch and Bonestar II as well as the daughter Starlingclaw) rescuing Snowsomething from the fox trap and showing her that she could poke questionable grass with sticks. Also, at least one of them appears to have been fishing for pumpkinseed sunfish. A Gathering. Now, I don't know who any of the cats close to the foreground are, and to be honest I'm not 100% clear on the leaders either. I believe the second one (brown with a white muzzle) is Mottlestar, which would fit with Mottlestar having been around still when Sunfoot found out his father, but I don't know the other leaders. Coldstar presumably wasn't RainClan's leader yet, and neither GraupelClan nor ShadowClan had been made canon. That said! Those four cats that are right below the rock and yet completely in view are Rivertail and Springfur's first litter. They're probably apprentices at this Gathering, but their warrior names are Zebraspot, Lavaheart, Sunfoot, and Cloudstripe. Lavaheart (nice) and Cloudstripe (chill) both died in battle, and Zebraspot (dedicated) was taken by Twolegs alongside Shadowpelt/star and, unlike Shadowstar, never made it home. I believe Sunfoot (abrasive) is still alive. Did I try to fix up the colors when I scanned this, or was this really how the default looked? Barleypaw/tail (HailClan apprentice) and Gravelpaw (RainClan medicine apprentice) fighting in the river. Barleypaw used to be a kittypet. He thought everything was really unfair for him and everyone was super prejudiced against him and that was why he commanded such little respect, but really it was because he was whiny, lazy, and incompetent. Micapaw/fleck of RainClan started flirting with Barleypaw on the border. Unlike Spring/River, Micafleck wasn't trying to sneak anyone into HailClan territory. However, she was not serious about the "relationship" and actually thought it was hilarious because Barleypaw was so pathetic and whiny. Gravelpaw started showing up and telling Barleypaw to get off of RainClan territory, and Barleypaw fought him viciously for being a jerk. During what would have been Barleypaw's warrior ceremony he started whining about how he was Never Going to be a Warrior!!! so Shadowstar called off the ceremony and told him to grow up. He then brutally murdered Gravelpaw (who had very little battle training), and Shadowstar made him a warrior to prevent further outbursts like that. (I miss Gravelpaw.) update (7/28) Sablefoot (Rivertail's daughter) and her mate, Blazingclaw, the medicine cat. Sedgeleaf (HailClan warrior) and Crowflight (RainClan medicine cat). Both of them are blind, and they meet and pretend to be part of MidnightClan, where it's always too dark for any cat to see so no one cares (or knows) if anyone is blind. (I know.) I feel like this was from the game, but I'm not actually sure who these characters are. Gravelpaw really tried against Barleypaw. Okay, so, the cat in the middle is Rivertail, and the orange, yellow, and white cat next to her is Cloudstripe, one of her sons. The three cats in the front are her daughter Zebraspot and her sons Sunfoot and Lavaheart. On top of the word "RIVER," the cats are Brooktail, Saltspeckle, Rivertail, Midnightclaw, and Flameclaw (I feel like she might have been Brooktail's mentor). The cats behind Rivertail on the left are Coldstar, Doveheart, Springfur, and Brackenfoot. The solid cat on the right is Darkeye, who I never got around to coloring in, and the ghostly cat is Saltpaw, who I guess died in this version of continuity.

The Heart of the ForestMy sister had me make covers and start writing stories for her. This was way back in the day, as in 2009, so I didn't even have Pixelmator yet. …Nor did I know of SumoPaint. So I used Word. That fire looks bad in at least two distinct senses of the word. Ravenpaw looks suspicious…in at least two distinct senses of the word. What word can I think of two definitions for that fits Gingerstar here? I will say, given my age, I clearly put some effort into this, but we're here to laugh, not to make excuses. What a sweet sentiment. Also, what a lot of identical stars. Some of which are only visible because someone's taken a big chunk out of the moon! I believe SA stands for "stand alone." TimeBased on FeralHeart misadventures with "Hawk." Basically "Hawk" made me join a Clan with her and power played as a kit defeating an apprentice and a warrior from the Scary Kit Stealers Clan (while I literally sat there waiting to be kidnapped and was completely overlooked). The Clan then vanished (my guess is I was kicked out but I don't know why), so I planned to join Scary Kit Stealers Clan but couldn't find them so I joined their most powerful ally instead. Then I wrote a fanfiction about it. cover (created and last modified 1/31/14) Badger (originally Martin, became Badger when he managed to get that thing onto his head), sort of the main antagonist. He's a pretty good leader to his own cats but ruthless toward anyone else and not a great guy really. Essentially, BlazeClan has been stealing kits/apprentices and imprisoning them in the Den for a while. Badger's rogues move into the BlazeClan camp and hang out for a while, but eventually they get bored, ravage the Clan and their camp, and free the prisoners for the sole reason that they don't have any reason to keep them anymore. Then they start attacking the other Clans. Once Badger hears that leaders get nine lives, he decides to join the Clans at a Gathering and make a temporary home in the territory MarshClan evacuated during a bad flood in Briar's kithood. Briar and her old friend Thunderfang run into each other, and the rogues take Thunderfang prisoner. The closest thing to canon is that Briar sneaks Thunderfang out of there, confesses her love for his brother, and then goes back to the rogues, and the rogues leave the Clan territories for good. combined chapter headings (created and last modified 1/4/14) Beautiful. The one on the left is Thunderfang, and the one on the right is Briar. Thunderfang basically will go to great lengths (aka be violent) to uphold his standards of the warrior code (yes, I know that one of the rules is "don't kill unless you really have to," but Thunderfang has slightly unconventional ideas of "really have to"). However, he is motivated partly by loyalty to his Clan and partly by loyalty to those close to him. He views Briar as a sister, and she views him as a brother, so he doesn't attack her when he finds out she's a rogue. Briar is very regretful about being separated from her Clan, but she also will not forgive them for not finding her after the flood. She hung around the destroyed camp for quite a while before giving up and wandering away. Heart of the WildThis one took place in a Definitely Not Fanfiction universe. The basic plot was that a kitten not yet old enough to have a name dreamed of having a name and a different family, got in trouble for various things, rapidly rose through the ranks, went on a journey, had leadership literally handed to her at a time when her tribe wasn't exactly enthusiastic about her, and managed to use that leadership to…accomplish something or other. Does it matter? 1.1 Broken Trust 4/13/10 Well, that cover isn't the most original thing I've ever seen, but given that I made it in 2010 it could have been a lot worse. Nice eyebrows, though. 1.2 Unkept Promises 4/21/10 The horizon is all funky. The darker base gray and peachy color are excused by her being in shadow, but her stripes are gray rather than black in this image. 1.3 Hidden Truth 4/13/10 Ooh, I see a mountain, a beach, a…tree…and a waterfall. Please notice that her nose is now black, though it was pink on book 1 and not visible on book 2. Also, her stripes are back to being black, and I believe that the peachy color is different than it was on book 1. Also, thick, bushy eyebrows. 1.4 Fading Code 5/10/10 Pink nose. I can't tell about the gray, but I think the peachy color might have changed back to the book 1 shade. I can't tell whether those are super bushy eyebrows or she's lost her eyebrows and those are stripes. 1.5 Unspoken Word 4/21/10 Black nose. I have my suspicions about the peachy color, but I'm not using the eyedropper or anything. Where are her eyebrows!? 1.6 Justice 4/21/10 The eyebrows are back but no longer thick, her face stripes are surprisingly involved, and look I'm not going to say anything about that peachy color. small update (7/28) AmethystA group of furry sparklecats that live in a cave are attacked first by a greedy dragon and then by an angry soul-stealer. Soul-stealers visually look like cats but are usually larger (both in height and stature) and have flatter faces with longer muzzles. More importantly, they have extremely long, amazingly prehensile tails. (Some cats in the Amethyst universe, specifically Lykke and Featherfall (and Kyanite if she counts, but she actually knows she's half soul-stealer) have prehensile tails as a result of soul-stealer ancestry, but with few exceptions, the cats' tails are not nearly as impressive as soul-stealer tails.) Even more importantly, soul-stealers have very long upper canines. They get referred to as fangs, but they're technically not fangs. When a soul-stealer bites a nonmagical creature (magicians are nonmagical creatures and thus CAN be bitten, but something like a waspcat or a dragon CANNOT be bitten), the victim enters a magical stasis, and the soul-stealer is then able to shapeshift into the form of the victim. This DOES include vocal cords and physical capabilities but does NOT include access to memories or knowledge of how to do things. (If a soul-stealer shapeshifted into, I don't know, a ballerina, then they'd have the same muscle strength as the ballerina but would not be magically given the knowledge of how to perform dance moves.) If you kill a soul-stealer who has forms stored inside of them, then they do not die, but all of the victims wake up from magical stasis, and the soul-stealer no longer has access to their forms. If you kill a soul-stealer who has not stolen any souls, or if you kill one twice, then they die. When it comes to hybrid creatures, the lines get a little blurred on who can be bitten and who can't. As a general rule, if you're 1/4 magical creature or more, then you're immune, while if you're less than 1/4 you can't be. So even though Lykke has an extremely long, very strong, definitely prehensile tail (with close to the characteristic color "braiding" of a soul-stealer), she would not be immune. However, Kyanite is half soul-stealer, so she's definitely immune. book one (created and last modified 7/31/12) His name was Anubis in the game but Onyx in the comic. The title "Amethyst" refers to the big amethyst that (game: Bat; comic: Bast) shows up carrying. The dragon Windstorm wants to steal the amethyst, but it's all Bat/Bast owns, and she needs to get to Claw Canyon City and sell it. Bat/Bast has to stay with the caves for a while to recover from her injuries, and someone (spoilers!) "steals" the amethyst. Turns out the action was morally unsound but not maliciously meant: Anubis/Onyx hid it to lengthen Bat/Bast's stay at the cave. Then Anubis/Onyx drops the amethyst on Windstorm's head, dazing him enough for Kyanite (the leader) to defeat him. Also, Bat/Bast likes living at the cave, so she stays anyway. Her lack of money isn't an issue. book two (created and last modified 12/1/12) "Pomegranate" is the name of the main antagonist as well as a reference to Greek myth as her first victim is Persephone. Pomegranate assumes Persephone's form and then at night starts biting other cats, causing them to fall into magic stasis/unconsciousness and giving her access to their forms. Anubis/Onyx finds Persephone's body and Pomegranate's lair in a cavern below the waterfall in the main cave, then defeats Pomegranate, killing her--this means she loses access to all stolen forms, and all of her victims are released from magic stasis. Pomegranate disappears down the second level of waterfall, and Anubis/Onyx reports her death. book three (created and last modified 2/25/13) "Evergreen" refers to Pine, a soul-stealer who appears with three cat friends who seems to be blackmailing Kyanite into allowing him to stay in the cave. Naturally Anubis/Onyx does not trust Pine, especially after things go missing. Eventually he catches Pine sneaking around and is prepared to attack, but Pine is ready for him. Anubis/Onyx at first thinks Pine is going to bite him and impersonate him, but Pine points toward a tunnel. When Anubis/Onyx and Pine investigate, they find a soul-stealer named Citrus talking to herself about how proud Pomegranate is going to be. She has the stolen items with her. They chase her out of the cave, where a sort of dragony thing (but emphatically not a dragon) swoops down and carries her away. book four (created and last modified 4/13/13) Well, I certainly got a lot less creative with these titles. A winged cat named Sage crash-lands at the cave entrance with a horribly bleeding and clearly poisoned bite on his wing. The thing is basically mangled and he needs immediate attention. Fortunately Persephone is an expert on magical creatures. Tiger lizard venom, after being burned, switches to being an antivenin for all types of venom. Of course, "Flames" refers to the fire they need for this. Basically they have to seek out a tiger lizard, then collect and burn its venom. However, they run into a small issue: tiger lizards have long, flexible tails, and their tail scales magically paralyze you for about half an hour on contact. If you aren't rescued, the lizard then eats you. Everything turns out fine, but Poppy drops one of her maps, and while trying to get the map back, they see--Pomegranate!? book five (created and last modified 5/5/13) Rather inconveniently, the movie Frozen was released six months later. Oh well. So first a bunch of old friends of Kyanite (the leader) show up, along with a couple new cats. Annoyed at how crowded the cave now feels, Anubis/Onyx goes exploring and decides to check out Pomegranate's old hideout. He finds clear evidence that it is inhabited (to the point where he comments that some kind of "pack rat" must live here). A soul-stealer named Frostbite catches him and wraps him in her tail, preventing him from killing her. The title "Frozen" refers to Frostbite. Frostbite lets him go but steals his sword and forbids him from telling anyone she's there. The next day his friends decide they all have to go get his sword back. He leads them the wrong direction on purpose, but then they see the dragony thing and follow it (against Anubis/Onyx's protests). They see Pomegranate and Frostbite talking. Pomegranate "gives" Frostbite the dragony thing, whom Frostbite immediately names Leonardo, and Frostbite and Anubis/Onyx work together to make Pomegranate think Frostbite has stolen Anubis/Onyx's soul. book six (created and last modified 7/22/13) "Seryyville" is a city on the southern border of the Silver Sea, which I think was still Silver Lake back when Amethyst was written. Bootsy and some other cats who are old friends of Kyanite arrive with the dragon Sanguis, saying there's an emergency with their other friend Sezja back in Seryyville. A group of cats from the cave go to deal with the emergency. Civet accidentally throws a weasel onto a waspcat, who decides to kill him, and a soul-stealer named Comet has to get Jay the waspcat to back down. Sezja shows up and starts trying to kill them, and Anubis/Onyx manages to stab one of Sezja's own arrows through her green tail extension to pin her to the ground. A yellow cat (spoiler: Briar, who currently lives at the cave) apparently sold her the item after Robin the rude winged cat found out it was cursed. Removing the green tail extension frees her from the curse. I remember that six more books were planned. Book seven is about Eve because Pomegranate gets Anubis/Onyx's soul for a while and I needed a new main character. I don't remember what book eight was. In book nine, cats named Cloudburst and Phoebe show up looking for Kyanite and reveal her backstory. Long story short, she's Pomegranate's half-sister and has long since disavowed that side of her family, and Pine is their cousin. Additionally, she ran away on the job after a murderous magician she was transporting escaped on the back of a dragon that never spoke. Briar is revealed to have been working for Pomegranate ever since Kyanite got her father (a murderer, Breeze Sr.) arrested. In book ten, the winged cat Phainopepla shows up with his panther, Namiri, and gives Anubis/Onyx all the advice he needs to defeat a crystal dragon. The secondary plot is that Hecate officially went off to magic college, but her enchantment to put magic lighting in the cave gradually starts wearing off. Cats begin to disappear, and they fight with Pomegranate, but she escapes. In book eleven, dragons threaten an invasion. They laugh it off because they have Phainopepla. They defeat Pomegranate for good. In book twelve, they find out that Phainopepla is the dragon who helped the murderer escape Kyanite, and he's been lying to them. He's the one who kidnapped the cats, not Kyanite, and they have to defeat him and the real dragons even after he's given them all this bogus advice to get them destroyed. His motivation is that Kyanite tried to kill him repeatedly and destroyed his nest because Blackburn hid up there even back when he knew nothing about who Blackburn was and Kyanite just assumed he was evil. Also, the dragon thing was something he was cursed with, and in dragon form he was full of bloodlust. However, by isolating himself, he was handling himself…but then Kyanite came and tried to kill him, and the cave cats moved into the cave right near his nest, and he fully embraced the murderous part of the curse. Eventually he managed to free himself from the curse, but he still wanted revenge. update 7/28 Moved from below. The three question marks are because Leonardo, though very dragonlike, is definitively not a dragon…but what else could he be!? Be fair, now, Briar; there's a difference between lying and wrong. Dragon Phainopepla setting Kyanite on fire. The blue dragon is the original Leonardo. The Leonardo you know and love pictured above was a replacement out-of-universe, but in-universe he was the same Leonardo returning, retconned to have always looked as he does above. Breeze and Kyanite. Breeze Jr. is the son of a murderer Kyanite dealt with back before she abandoned her job, so she doesn't trust Breeze Jr. at all. Right universe, wrong timeline, wrong "half" of the world. Silver lives in Karminrot, which is north of the Silver Sea, while Amethyst itself takes place completely south of the Silver Sea. He was not expecting to fish up a dragon. Phainopepla finally turning back into a cat, though it's more that he's mastered the curse than that he's actually gotten through it. Ash to AshA fanfiction that did not go in quite the direction I wanted it to so I'm half considering rewriting it entirely. The basic concept is that Brambleclaw does kill Firestar in the fox trap at the end of Sunset, and the Three grow up in WindClan instead. all images last modified 11/13/15 overarching cover Hawkstar of RiverClan, the main antagonist. book 1 Nightfall Leafpool and Crowfeather on the night ThunderClan is driven out. Squirrelflight in the rectangle. Bramblestar is chased away. Ashfur is killed. WindClan drives ThunderClan out of the lake territories. book 2 Blue Moon Jaypaw, Lionpaw, and Hollypaw out on the moor--Jaypaw tracking, Lionpaw goofing around, and Hollypaw staring off into the mountains. Jaypaw in the rectangle. Jaypaw trains as a tunneler while Hollypaw and Lionpaw train as moor-runners. Jaypaw knowingly uses his powers, and Lionpaw unknowingly uses his powers as well. Hollypaw tries to find out about ThunderClan. Nightcloud tries to keep Leafpool's kits away from Breezepaw. They save the kits from the tunnels. book 3 Darkening Skies Barkface, Sol, and Kestrelflight when Sol comes to WindClan to sow trouble. Lionstorm in the rectangle. They go help out the Tribe. Hollyheart and Jayfeather tell Harespring and Kestrelflight about the prophecy while Lionstorm freaks out about how he can never tell anyone. Sol shows up, and they fake the sign that then becomes real, roughly as happens in canon. book 4 Stone and Fire Mothwing, Willowshine, and Reedwhisker in distress over Hawkstar. Dawnpaw in the rectangle. Dawnpaw has a power similar to Dovewing's that allows her to complete the beaver plot similarly to canon, and her sister Icepaw fills the Ivypool role. Jayfeather talks Breezepelt down from killing Kinkfur (in what maps to the Poppyfrost scene). Hollyheart starts freaking out about how Dawnpaw has a power and she doesn't. Uh…this one ends with Icepaw trying to kill Dawnpaw. Also, Jayfeather does all the time travel in this book. I think this is the one with the Bramblestar POV that reveals that he wandered the land intentionally wasting his lives until he ended up in the Place of No Stars, where he refuses to cooperate with the evil plans. book 5 Shadows in the Stars Tigerstar, Brokenstar, and some cat's claws in the Place of No Stars. Icepetal in the rectangle. Dawnpaw refuses to tell anyone that Icepaw was the attacker, and she even saves Icepaw and attempts to save Graypaw but is unsuccessful at saving the latter; Cloudpaw decides to be a medicine cat in hopes of getting to visit Graypaw in the afterlife. Icepetal gradually realizes the Place of No Stars is evil. Jayfeather tells her to spy, and she would be willing to pass along relevant information if she had any, and she is not willing to sell out her Clanmates who have been lured into joining. Jayfeather spies on her mind anyway. Hollyheart tries to get stepped on by a horse but ends up going to the Tribe for help. Dawnstream breaks up with Tigerheart. book 6 Sunrise I never decided who those silhouettes were. Hollyheart in the rectangle. Hollyheart brings ThunderClan home in time to join the battle for the stars. Rock tries to kill Jayfeather, but Jayfeather claws his own mark in the magic stick to save himself and also frees Fallen Leaves. StarClan and the Tribe of Endless Hunting show up. Dawnstream learns how to use her powers to make battling easier. Lionstorm kills Hawkstar repeatedly, eventually killing him for good in the lake. Cinderheart (ThunderClan of course) becomes Cinderstar while Brightheart and others negotiate with the other Clans. Spirit Bramblestar kills Spirit Hawkstar and is allowed into StarClan; he accidentally lets Spirit Ashfur into StarClan as well, but Spirit Ashfur runs and hides and the other cats are like, "well, he's here, I guess he belongs now." Time skip of a couple moons, everything's fine, Ashstar (Ashfoot) is trying her best to be welcoming to ThunderClan, and Lionstorm and Jayfeather are allowed to visit Leafpool, who has finally been reunited with Squirrelflight. "back cover" Dead Firestar. The yellow text reads, "Before there is peace…" and the orange text reads, "A deadly plot to kill Firestar, beloved leader of ThunderClan, has succeeded, and ThunderClan is shaken to the core. But what lies ahead may be even worse. With the fire extinguished, who will save the Clans from the dark forces still lingering in the shadows of their past?" update (7/28) - previous cover sketches Hawkstar for the overall cover. His face is so small… For Nightfall. The cat all the way on the left is Gorsetail. The one way in the back is Weaselfur. Leafpool has her mouth open, Crowfeather is stepping toward her, and Onestar is looking on angrily. For Blue Moon. Jaypaw tracking, Lionpaw watching him, and Hollypaw looking at the mountains. For Darkening Skies. Just Sol this time. The CalmI'm still considering writing this one, but I haven't gotten around to it. Brief summary: scary prophecy, let's stop fate, oh wait this is Warriors prophecies are guaranteed to come true but can we at least soften the blow!? Also, the medicine cat is the deuteragonist and can't stand kits, which sure doesn't help when she takes an apprentice. created and last modified 1/10/16 I actually really like that ugly green/orange combination and the way I did the title. Stormfall herself leaves a lot to be desired. bannersNot including banners elsewhere on the page, of course. I don't think any of these were for myself?

RainingwindsDefinitely Not a Fanfiction. Cats followed one of several different paths: Strona (fighters), Mousetail (hunters), Huitsmnoti (guards/camp maintenance), Keepers (strategists? there's some inconvenient water damage - it looks like Keeper was an EXTRA path and would not be one on its own, you'd double up into it), Birdflight (spies who also hunted on the side), Healers (medicine cats), or Wingstill (kit-carers). Additionally, there were Apprentices, who were in competition to be the next leader. Bluesayer was the main character, and a Strona cat named Tigerstep was manipulating Redsayer (Draco Malfoy Apprentice) into sabotaging the competition so that Tigerstep could rule by proxy. art (as of 7/24) The allegiances. That thing in the bottom right is an olive. Two options. One: the one on the left is Bluesayer, the main character, and the one on the right is Clawclaw, her best friend's father. Clawclaw is a good guy who is presumably somehow helping her with training right now. He's arguably the best fighter in Rainingwinds, and his name isn't considered funny to them. Two: the one on the left is Redsayer, the Draco Malfoy, and the one on the right is Scarclaw, the Darkstripe. Scarclaw is "training" Redsayer how to make other cats fall out of trees. The latter was my initial assumption, but the design for the left cat looks more like Bluesayer than like Redsayer, and the one on the right looks quite calm to be Scarclaw. Redsayer (right) bullying Clawstalker (left) by chasing him through the treetops. The two cats looking up are probably Tigerstep and Scarclaw. This storyline ended with Redsayer falling out of the tree (because he was much heavier than Clawstalker) and getting hurt, then being yelled at by Tigerstep and Scarclaw for falling. Swiftfoot and Swiftclaw--I guess she's training him. The picture is labeled DJ because putting that your first name started with D and your hometown started with J into the official Warriors site name generator would yield the name Swiftfoot. small update (7/28) The tuxedo she-cat is Swiftfoot, the brown tom is Runninglegs, the pointed tom is Clawstalker, and the gray-and-ginger she-cat is Bluesayer. Clawstalker and Bluesayer are labeled, and the kit is Cometwish. I think the thing on the right is a fox. Mossheart vs. fox. third grade - C/I/L/SI am and have always been a petty person. I led Calicopelts; a guy I hated led Icehearts. My friend led Leapinglegs until we had a falling out and I decided she led a new group called Spottingburst and a different friend led Leapinglegs. art (as of 7/25) I'm going to call the rows top, middle, and bottom and number the columns 1-4. Top 1 is clearly Mudwisp (me), Top 2 is clearly Hawkfire ("Agate"), Middle 1 is clearly Hawktalon ("Amber"), and Middle 2 is clearly Leopardpelt ("Leopard"). Middle 3 looks like the design I remembered for Rockhead, but Rockhead was leader, so maybe I mixed up Rockhead with someone else's design? 4 is Spottingburst, but…Hawkfire should be their leader, and she's not? Mudwisp (my character) training her son Stripysliver. If you look at this picture and the one above, you can see that the Y-shaped stripe was official. Unfortunately any recent art I did from memory has it as an upside-down Y, but the Y was at least important enough to remember as having existed, even if I flipped it upside down. small update (7/28) Hawkfire. With the pupil thing! Thunder Rises (aka Rise)Blue babysits Pearl, the successor for leader of the forest, and has to ask the obnoxious Citrus for help with stuff. Prey starts turning up dead in large quantities, basically drained of blood, and Blue and Citrus investigate. Thunder, Pearl's slightly older littermate, reappears after being thought dead. Then cats start turning up dead and drained of blood. Eventually Thunder is revealed as the murderer and exiled from the forest with destroyed wings. original cover (2009) Blue and Citrus. Thunder never folded his wings; he just let them hang at his sides. Those are huge eyes. Look familiar? No? created and modified 12/21/14 How about now? Blue and Citrus. forum cover Blue, Citrus, and Pearl. small update (7/28) Another one of Thunder. Broken GlassShardwhisker the rogue gets talked into joining CloudClan. This image frankly baffles me, because Shardwhisker is not and has never been a black cat. He was a "dark gray tabby" that I pictured as a smoke tabby, and in the serval version (which I think was the original) he was for some reason a dark smoky gray-brown. I don't…get it? I will say that I almost feel like this could have originally been Starlingfeather of StoneClan and then I put the wrong name on it, but…I kind of feel like that's not actually the case. EmberfootI still haven't come up with a title. This comic was planned before AVOS was confirmed, so it focuses on SkyClan a few generations post-Leafstar. Everything you see here will fall in line with the typical clichés you would expect from a story about a SkyClan cat growing up from early apprenticeship until the climactic battle. But you should know by now it wouldn't quite have been that simple. Not going to completely spoil it because there's still a chance I'll end up making it, but if someone happens to guess the twist correctly I'll admit to it. comic SkyClan cats: Emberpaw! Gravelpaw! Bluepaw! Emberpaw! Gravelpaw! Bluepaw! Hisswhisker: C'mon, Emberpaw. Emberpaw: Huh? Hisswhisker: …The territory tour? Emberpaw: All of it? Hisswhisker: There's a lot of territory to cover, so please keep up. internal monologue: I've heard a lot about Hisswhisker. Hisswhisker: The Whispering Cave. Hisswhisker: One day you'll jump this high! Hisswhisker: Long ago a bad Twoleg lived in this nest. Hisswhisker: Time for me to head home. Training starts tomorrow. Heronpaw: You get an edge nest. Emberpaw: A what? Heronpaw: By the door. Emberpaw: A cold one? Heronpaw: Maybe a bit. Emberpaw: But-- Heronpaw: You're new. It's your nest. Emberpaw: FINE! internal monologue: I don't think I like him much. internal monologue: But that's okay. internal monologue: I know something he doesn't: internal monologue: I am part of a prophecy. One day, I will save SkyClan. narration: the next day Gravelpaw: Herbs are hard. Icepaw: Yeah? And how many battle moves've you got to learn? Gravelpaw: Aw, all you've gotta do is jump and kick! Bluepaw: Oh yeah? Bluepaw: Name five battle moves! Bluepaw: Not so tough, are you? Gravelpaw: Get off, Bluepaw! Emberpaw: Hi, I'm Emberpaw! Who are-- Firepaw: Firepaw. Emberpaw: Wanna play moss ball? Firepaw: No. Hisswhisker: Hey, Emberpaw, I'm here. Emberpaw: Bye! Firepaw: Moss ball?internal monologue: Firepaw is cool.

Dappled LeavesThis comic was 600 pages long, but only because I made it one panel per page. I feel like the comic was mostly made throughout my seventh grade school year, which would be 2012-13? I would update it 10, 20, or 30 pages at a time. The length turned some people away, but I feel like anyone familiar with IAVS or AtA has come to expect that when I actually go to the trouble of starting something, it's going to be long. The comic was based on a game my sister and I played with Model Magic cats. I tried to avoid any heavy use of her characters out of respect, and the particular plotline is one with which she was never really that involved anyway. (And also expanded to bigger proportions.) Dappled Leaves was entirely drawn in the blob style that people hated. Falling Petals started out as a completely unrelated story, so not all of the art is in the same style as Dappled Leaves, but by the time I started the comic (which reached 270 pages before I quit because no one cared) it had been turned into the sequel to DL, so it was drawn in the same style to keep it consistent. Dappleface of SkyClan gets her leadership position taken away and joins an evil organization. Upon her death fighting for the Warriors of the Night, she is sent to the Dark Forest. Killing the spirit of the evil organization's leader while the Clan founders watch allows both Dappleface and her new friend Cynder into StarClan. stuff from the comic thread first cover (created and last modified 5/27/12) Dapplestar being creeped out by Zebrastar? What!? Oh, maybe he was never called -star in the comic, but he was in the game, because in the game you could basically go to the Moonstone and declare yourself leader of a Clan if there was at least one other cat you would be leading. (Or if you were your Clan's last survivor, because yes, that was an issue that came up multiple times.) Zebrastar was the main villain, but until the very end Dapplestar had a crush on him. updated cover (created and last modified 12/31/13) Dapplestar. This cover looks much nicer. Her eyes being blue means she's still alive as of this image--in the comic, StarClan cats have black eyes with stars in them and white pupils, and Place of No Stars cats have cloudy gray-and-black eyes with black pupils. That said, the cloudy background is like the Place of No Stars, and she has stars in her eyes, which I guess reflected the upcoming plot twists. the banner (created and last modified 8/2/12) A lot of people complimented me for putting the blue words on the orange backgrounds and the orange words on the blue backgrounds, but if I remember correctly that was a coincidence. Dapplestar and Zebrastar go on the edges so the cats "frame" the image; Dapplestar is first because she's the protagonist, while Zebrastar is last because he's the antagonist. Then the Warriors of the Night are next to Dapplestar because Zebrastar led them, and the leaves are next to Zebrastar because they go with Dapplestar. As you can see, the words written in blue and orange, in that font, were Very Official. I actually like that, to be honest. Anyway, these images are not well meshed together (or…meshed together in the slightest), but I actually like that they're separated into blocks like that? What I don't like is that I forgot that the "base" image was a .jpg and it would save as a .jpg if I wasn't careful. Oh well. the divider for nostalgia purposes (created and last modified 3/23/12) I mean, there's not much point in laughing at this, but if anyone here read Dappled Leaves back in the day I thought it might be nice to see this. It's just a stripe drawn with the maple leaf brush. other art (as of 7/24) (poorly drawn blood) created and last modified 4/17/12 Six of my favorite characters: Snarepaw, Willowpaw, Peachfur, Fierylegs, Tawnystar, and Marbleswirl. I thought "chibis" were all the rage, so I tried it out. That was a bad idea. Also, I would just like to point out that besides Snarepaw, all of them are from ShadowClan. Willowpaw and Snarepaw again. Wow, I wonder if there's a pattern here. This is the scene where Peachfur reveals the Warriors of the Night a moon early at the Gathering. On the left are the deputies (I guess I decided Cloudedfur never returned? maybe I just forgot) Dappleface, Lazytail, and Bluewhisker (who I thought was leader by this point?). The cat with the twisted paw is Peachfur. The tabby beside her is Yellowtail. The calico is Fierylegs. The other two are Graycloud and Zebrastripe. Now, this suggests a very different ending! I can't tell if I drew this beforehand and changed my mind when making the comic or if this was drawn afterward as a sort of vent art (or retcon). From the cloudy black eyes, you can tell Zebrastar, Shadeswirl, Redfoot, Yellowgaze (oh, right, I changed Yellowtail's name in the comic), the unlabeled cat (who is probably Nightstripe), Skunkpaw, and Copperpaw are in the Dark Forest. It's hard to tell with Dapplestar, but it looks to me as if she's supposed to be alive? Peachfur and Redear are in StarClan, which you can tell from the white speckles in their eyes. The art leaves a lot to be desired, but I guess at least I tried perspective? How old is this thing!? When did Marbleswirl have hair!? created and modified 5/28/12 Dapplestar: Am I…dead? This doesn't look like StarClan. Zebraheart: That's because…it's not. This one was a scene from the comic. As I guessed above, he was not known as Zebrastar in the comic or the story, but I still think of him as Zebrastar because originally he was. Still in the Dappled Leaves blob style. As you can see, in the Place of No Stars there were only shadows (no highlights); in StarClan, there were only highlights, and no shadows! oil pastel scanned 3/12/12 His anatomy is off, but he looks soft to me. created and modified 5/12/12 What's a collection of old art without some Evanescence lyrics? At least it's Going Under and not Bring Me to Life, but still. The wonky anatomy should be pretty clear, but I think the stances are pretty decent. created and modified 4/12/12 I think this might be a picture from the actual comic with a different background added? This is one of the better blob cats, but you can see why people called them that. oil pastel scanned 3/12/12 Again, the anatomy's not great, but she looks so soft! scanned 2/27/12 Snarepaw…was my favorite. I don't know why. I also don't know why I was so proud of this image. It's ugly. But is that the precursor to the way I draw eyes now!? oil pastel scanned 3/12/12 Of course there's an oil Snarepaw. And yet again, the anatomy is bad, but he looks soft and I want to pet him. created and modified 5/4/12; drawn on MS Paint at school Are you tired of seeing Snarepaw yet? created and modified 1/30/12 Not tired enough. Also, when did he get eyebrows? oil pastel scanned 3/12/12 Nice question mark. oil pastel scanned 3/12/12 I really liked oil pastels, but I technically didn't know how to use them. oil pastel scanned 3/12/12 I was trying out different colors for the shading, at least. created and modified 4/24/12 Is that enough Snarepaws for you? Never!!!!! small update (7/28) Believe it or not, Dapplestar isn't actually supposed to be crying. I got blue marker on my knuckles while coloring her eye. In the background, Zebrastar is amassing followers. "Dappled Leaves" as a story had not yet been thought of, so this is actually technically about the Model Magic universe, but it fits well enough with canon, so… when will it end Falling PetalsFalling Petals was set in WindClan and integrated both the original flower leader prophecy idea and the Hazelstar plot from the Model Magic game, though it mangled the latter nearly beyond recognition. Firestar of WindClan looooves to play around with fate and make things happen in the way that most suits him, and when Rockpelt tells Cinderstreak that the down-and-dirty of a prophecy is that the next leader will have a flower for a name, Firestar takes it into his paws to see that he and those he cares about are safe. Hazelfur is not happy. Hazelfur joins the scraps of the Warriors of the Night. With Zebrastar gone they're free to return to their original goal: killing Firestar to bring justice to the forest as Redfoot sees fit. art (as of 7/24) cover (created and last modified 8/1/13) They look young in this picture, but Rockrose and Hollyhawk. Rockrose is well-meaning but shy, too timid to tell her "friend" Feathersong to stop bullying the tunnelers. Hollyhawk is irritable and unknowingly emulates Firestar… For anyone who really knows their flowers, though, the answer to the prophecy was a foregone conclusion. Because those flowers in the background? You know what those are? Those are blazing stars. Their brother was named Blazingclaw…and eventually Blazingstar. This was a page of Falling Petals that I decided to draw out of order. Falling Petals was the sequel to Dappled Leaves, and I actually got fairly far into a digital version (part of me wants to return to it, but I'm worried it doesn't make any sense). I guess this technically spoils the story, but who cares? scanned 11/27/11 Wait what the heck FP was planned back in 2011!? Also more importantly I could draw like this in 2011!? Anyway, this is Rockrose, Feathersong, and Hollyhawk; Rockrose is shocked (it looks like she was initially supposed to be a jerk alongside Feathersong?), Feathersong is dismayed, and Hollyhawk (who I never finished coloring in) is nervous that they'll figure out the feather isn't a real sign. I mean, this isn't good, but for 2011!? small update (7/28) Rockrose trying her best. Hollyhawk feeling guilty. Model Magic universe pre- and post-Dappled LeavesAs mentioned above, Dappled Leaves was based on part of a game using Model Magic cats. For those who aren't familiar with it, Model Magic is great air-dry modeling clay. "Ash" and I kept this game going for a long time. The overarching plot was something like…we had ten Clans at first (Thunder, River, Shadow, Wind, Sky, Leaf, Dusk, Dawn, Night, Flame), and then "Ash" introduced FormClan and Cinderstreak of ShadowClan pulled a Firestar's Quest to revive WeirdClan. Hazelstar happened, and then the Clans started dying off. Hazelstar's son went off and founded his own Clan, which existed as the sole real Clan for real-world years, but there was also a BloodClan equivalent. A second Clan settled nearby but was unimportant. A few stragglers from the original twelve Clans still survived, but anyone who managed to survive that long basically had no choice but to join BlazingClan. art (as of 7/25) created and modified 11/6/10 Crimson of BoneClan, which is obviously the BloodClan equivalent. Crimson was really a good guy, but "Ash"'s BlazingClan cats were constantly trying to kill him and leaving him to die at the paws of mountain lions. created and modified 7/28/11 Blazingstar of BlazingClan. His prefix is the Clan's name because he was the founder. created and modified 7/28/11 Cloudstar of BlazingClan. created and modified 7/28/11 Leopardjaws the traveler. Calling him a rogue feels more correct than calling him a loner, but technically he was a good guy, and rogues tend to be troublemakers. created and modified 7/28/11 Song(star) of SongClan. The cats who eventually became SongClan were originally made for the purpose of adding to BlazingClan, but they made the camp too crowded, so I just made them a separate Clan. created and modified 5/11/12 Firefang? The loner who lives at Twelvetrees? Firefang…is also canonically Rust's brother, though TU and MM are completely different universes. Firefang just happens to exist in both. In this canon, he's cursed with nine lives. Every time he reaches his last life, StarClan appoints him leader of something arbitrary and gives him more lives. created and modified 1/14/12 Mossypaw of BlazingClan. created and modified 1/14/12 Sunstar; I think he might have been…WindClan? My first thought was SkyClan, but I'm pretty sure SkyClan had already been destroyed by the time Sunstar existed. Brick and Rock. Brick's neck is bruised from having his collar ripped off. He went off to the forest and came back to find that Rock had taken his job, so he beat Rock up until he gave his job back. Now if only Sunpaw's mentor was labeled as well then maybe I would recognize what Clan they were from. "Ash"'s characters (at the time this was probably all of ThunderClan), but my art. Graystripe (gray), Flamescar (brown with yellow eyes in the back), Mercurytail (brown with green eyes on the left), Foxtail (orange body and white head), Fuzzytail/star (gray forehead), Bluewhisker/star (lightning face), and Tigerstar (brown with green eyes in the front). Icestar of ShadowClan was never actually made out of Model Magic, but she was canon to the setting. She was Tawnystar's mother. Chocolatestar (last survivor of WindClan, tiny) and Yarrowstar (last actual survivor of ThunderClan, even though Squirrel/Bramble and kits were somehow added in after ThunderClan was completely destroyed, humongous). For some reason Yarrowstar really wanted to kill Chocolatestar. BlazingClan battle practice. The one on the left is Brackenheart. The pointed cat in the back is Whitemouse. The gray one is Hazelpaw/eye, and she's pinning down Pebblepaw/pelt. The black cat is Nightpaw/whisker, and he's licking Patchpaw/fur. The gray-and-orange one in the corner is Splashpaw/fur. Rip and Fang of BoneClan. Brackenpaw, who was Icestar's brother and therefore also canon but not physically created. The picture is of him falling into a gorge. The orange one is probably Squirrelflight (or did "Ash" change her suffix?), and the brown-and-gray one is either Brackenswirl(?) or his brother. The black-and-white cat on the right (below gray cat) is Hollykit. Okay, so first of all, his eyes were vermilion, not red, though that's barely better. Second, his name was Bolder--emphatically not Boulder! BoneClan's leader was called Pebble, and Bolder didn't want his name associated with Pebble's, so he insisted it was "bold-er" for his courage and daring. Bolder was BoneClan's deputy. I guess he thought it sounded silly for the leader and deputy to be named Pebble and Boulder. Sunstar, what Clan are you from!? update (7/28) (colored pencil blood that's not good but how wrong can you go) I think Blood defected from BoneClan. Blood was "Ash"'s character that she didn't care about. Badgertooth, the ShadowClan medicine apprentice and later full medicine cat and one of my favorites. Sunstar again. Still no indication of Clan. Chocolatestar. Bluepaw, Icestar's sister who did become a warrior but I don't remember her full name. Blazingstar, founder of BlazingClan. Bluestar, last survivor of NightClan. I really tried to avoid her becoming leader (because I didn't want another Bluestar), but "Ash" just kept killing NightClan's leaders until Bluefire was the last cat left. I'm reasonably certain this is "Ash"'s character Montyfur and her kits. Before she became leader. Hazelstar, evil founder of HazelClan who defected from NightClan. Blazingstar's mother. Notail/star, Purpleheart, and…uh, someone…of WeirdClan, all "Ash"'s characters. I upped the brightness and contrast of this one; this is also WeirdClan, and you can tell the one on the left is Notail/star because she has no tail, the one next to her is the deputy, and the third one is Purpleheart. Leopardjaws, looking more evil than he should. What was the big deal about Icestar? She didn't even exist! Brightshadow of ShadowClan. That's Pebble in the background watching Leopardjaws fight his cats. Crimson is the uncertain calico. Brick is the red cat with bleeding paws behind Leopardjaws' head. Bolder is there with the wrong spot pattern, and the ginger she-cat is Fox, who might as well be Bolder's kit but actually isn't. Leopardjaws is kicking Spike out of the picture. Crimson trying to escape two tigers and an eagle. Crimson just wanted to join BlazingClan, but Cloudstar wanted Crimson to die. This picture was of Badgerface, not Badgertooth…what happened was that after "Ash" broke Badgertooth, I glued him back together and said that he was a new character, Badgerkit, who was named after Badgertooth. ShadowClan! On the left there are Blackfoot and Goldfur. Icestar looks like she's wearing dark eyeshadow. The calico whose face is in the middle of the paper is Icestar's daughter, Tawnyheart/star. Next to Icestar's face, in the back, is Rainbowheart, the medicine cat, and next to Rainbowheart is Silverclaw. Below Rainbowheart is Darkclaw. Above Tawnyheart/star's head is Brightshadow, and in the top right is Fierylegs, but this was back in the day when I resolutely spelled it as Firylegs despite knowing that was technically wrong. In the bottom right, Tawnystar's sister Tansypelt is leaning down to talk to Badgerkit/tooth, Featherpaw/fur/star, and Stormpaw/fall(?). Tadpole (not the title)Tadpole impersonates Scourge's heir. I had a more detailed description here, but I deleted it when I started the remake. art (as of 7/24) created and modified 6/5/12 Faces from left to right: Icicle looking suspicious, Snowflake goofing around, Cloudy being a nobody, Tadpole, Lynn, Thistle, Spine, Sniff (assuming I remember the names of Willie's kits correctly) created and modified 8/9/13 Lyrics are from Desperate by Decyfer Down. created and modified 3/23/12 TadpolexLynn. I vastly preferred the green background, but everyone else said pink was better. I appear to have deleted the pink version. created and modified 4/24/12 TadpolexLynn again. Why did I care? They were evil! That was the whole point! small update (7/28) Technically I have all 63 pages with words included, but I'm not here to post a full comic. In this one, Tadpole follows Vice to his nest because he sees Vice with the fish. Vice prepares to eat the fish, then says he knows Tadpole is watching (though he doesn't use his name, obviously) and then tells him to chill out. Spine is glad that it looks like Lynn is about to kill Tadpole; Glass is sad but unsurprised. Lynn ends up being unable to kill Tadpole because they're in love (Even Evil Has Loved Ones). The Last HopeNOT meant to be a full rewrite, but it was supposed to be a chapter-by-chapter summary of a rewrite. (poorly drawn pencil blood) I had recently learned how to use the fancy brushes in the Pixelmator update. The colors are actually fairly nice, though I went overboard on it. Shadow(star): Where is that badger? Slant: Shadow, calm down. Slant: I hear something. Slant: Rock!? Rock: Midnight is coming. Midnight: It seems impatient you have become. (…That was fast?)River(star): The others want to know who the Fourth is. (nice hair River)Midnight: Revealed in time it will be. But for Clans, approaching is last sunrise. Cats own choices will make. For the end, be prepared. (that was the end of the prologue; here's chapter one)Tigerstar: Stop! Tigerstar: It's time for my true warriors to come discuss plans. Ivypool: Okay. Tigerstar: Not you, Ivypool. Ivypool: Why not? I'm loyal. Ivypool: I mean sure! I won't…I'll stay… (the writing here is just sublime)Tigerstar: … Ivypool's thoughts: Stay? Me? No. Ivypool: ! Nightstripe: You! (this is Nightstripe, Zebraheart's sister, from the DL/MM universe! since that supposedly takes place within the canon Clans, I put Nightstripe and Shadeswirl in here…)Shadeswirl: You're alive. Nightstripe: The meeting is for dead cats only. (this was not mentioned)Nightstripe: But if you really want in… Ivypool's thoughts: I don't even have time to react. Dovewing: IVYPOOL! You flailed and got my ear and now you're bleeding all over the den! Ivypool's thoughts: I don't think Brambleclaw trusts me. But it's worth it to save the Clans. (I think this might be a new chapter now?)Jayfeather's thoughts: I smell blood. sound effect: sniff Ivypool: Jayfeather? Jayfeather: I'm just about to leave! Fix your own problems. I'm busy. (the implication was supposed to be that he doesn't trust her, but he just comes across as an incompetent medicine cat)Briarlight: It's okay, Jayfeather. I can help. Jayfeather's thoughts: I wonder just how much blood there was. Littlecloud: Jayfeather!? Kestrelflight: Jayfeather! Willowshine: He's not our friend, Kestrelflight. Mothwing: He killed a cat. And not out of pity. (some of these cats feel OOC…I still don't get why it was such a big deal to the Clans at large in canon; I should have changed that)Kestrelflight: How did he see to kill him? (has WindClan not heard the gossip?)Jayfeather's thoughts: Stupid Kestrelflight. Jayfeather: One, I was trying to save him. Two, it was his destiny to die. And not mine. (if it didn't work the first time it's not going to work now Jayfeather)Willowshine: Liar! Littlecloud: You're a liar just like your mother. Both of you are killers. (I'm sorry Littlecloud why did I do this to you)Littlecloud: Cinderpelt saved my life and it's Leafpool's fault she died. (Littlecloud isn't like this???)Willowshine: You're not even a medicine cat anymore! Jayfeather's thoughts: And the next thing I know, I'm being chased by a crazy she-cat. The hypocrite. Jayfeather's thoughts: But I get back safely. Jayfeather's thoughts: And I dream. Yellowfang: You're no more important than the rest now you've made up your mind to ignore the prophecy! You could have done something… Yellowfang: But you wasted your time, and now look what you've done. StarClan is divided and you still haven't found the Fourth! Yellowfang: The Clans are doomed because of you! Jayfeather: But I'm one of the Three… Yellowfang: You don't get it… Yellowfang: The Three are not enough! Brambleberry: YELLOWFANG! Brambleberry: Jayfeather… you are important. Don't listen to her. Brambleberry: But you still must find the Fourth. (if StarClan is divided then why is Brambleberry hanging out near Yellowfang)(this is definitely a new chapter now)Foxleap: Wow, nice catch! Blossomfall: Hey, Foxleap, let's hunt near the ShadowClan border. Blossomfall: Coming, Dovewing? (isn't this the book where Blossomfall supposedly matured though)Dovewing: ShadowClan? --Okay. Tigerheart: Dovewing! (how does he know she can see him?????)Dovewing: Blossomfall, I--uh--found a mouse. Don't wait for me. Tigerheart: Twilight. Right here. Dovewing: What? I can't believe-- Dovewing: --of course. Dovewing's thoughts: So we meet. And it's nice--no, it's wonderful. I hate him so much… but my heart disagrees with me. And I can't fight it anymore. (well that was bad)

Three United seriesThe briefest summary: the Clans are at war, a blackcough plague starts, and a group of cats have to journey for the cure and stop the battling from starting right up again. A prophecy regarding Swiftpaw/wing/star, Blackpaw/pool, and Flamepaw/spark of ThunderClan is repeatedly referenced but never given. The provided prophecy lists Swiftwing and one cat from each of the other Clans. Don't know what I was thinking with that. The series was to be Swiftpaw's Prophecy, Secrets of the Night, Darkened Paths, Heather Rise, Journey Back, and Daybreak. Swiftpaw's Prophecy and the first few chapters of Secrets of the Night were actually written, but I quit to rework the story into a non-Warriors continuity. covers created and last modified 11/18/10 above: Swiftpaw, Flamepaw, Blackpaw circle: Swiftpaw created and last modified 6/23/11 above: Blackpaw, Tealheart rectangle: Blackpaw created and last modified 6/23/11 above: Ivystar rectangle: Flamepaw created and last modified 6/23/11 above: Cedarfall, Flamespark, Blackpool, Tealheart, Swiftwing, Dusktalon, Furzetail, Gorsepelt circle: Cedarfall created and last modified 6/24/11 above: Tealheart, Dusktalon, Cedarfall, Flamespark, Gorsepelt, Blackpool, Furzetail, Swiftwing, Rust rectangle: Dusktalon created and last modified 6/24/11 above: Willowcloud rectangle: Willowcloud map of the journey Okay, so the little triangles are the mountains, and the bottom right is labeled Highstones. The regular squiggly arrow is the journey to Heather Rise, and the squiggly arrow with tick marks is the journey back home. The thing in the center is the gorge. I think the dark scribbles are forests. The "other lake" is labeled "(Airclaw Magical Lake)" because my friend-at-the-time "Airclaw" told me to call it that; it would not have been referred to as such in-story, even if the cats went anywhere near it, which they clearly didn't based on the path I drew. small pictures that strongly imply there were previous versions of the covers but I can't find the whole covers (I'm guessing that back in the day the prophecy really was the three of them and I just never came up with it…?) Swiftpaw Blackpaw Flamespark (why is he smooth) all three Swiftwing Ivystar other art Cedarfall Duskpaw(talon) and Tealheart Duskpaw(talon) and Tealpaw(heart) background: Palekit, Poolkit, Wetstar, Sleetfoot, Moonpaw(speckle) Rust…I forgot to share Rust's backstory! Condensed version: Rust's brother had visions, was obsessed with destiny, saw that he was going to physically kill Rust. Purposely got Rust lost in a cave and left him there. Unsure how Rust lost his eye, but it happened in the cave. Flamespark accidentally found Rust while poking around in a dangerous rocky area; he burst into the cave. Rust had vision problems in his remaining eye from spending so long in the dark. (Given that he has no collar this might be "new continuity" but if I ever bring Rust back he's going to have his collar!) Also, nice Skillet lyrics to go along with Evanescence above. Rust…was he missing his left eye, or was this young Rust? Wetwhisker and Shrewpaw (the special DF cats). This doesn't quite do Wetwhisker's design justice. Maybe I'll do some art of her sometime. Swiftstar. I guess this is all of them as kits. Bottom row is labeled, but the writing is pretty small and smudged, so top row in order (by head, not body) is Gorsekit, Furzekit, Cedarkit, Duskkit, Blackkit, Tealkit, Swiftkit, and Flamekit, and bottom row is Furzekit, Gorsekit, Cedarkit, Duskkit, Blackkit, Tealkit, and Swiftkit. No Flamekit in the bottom row, but Swiftkit is only labeled with an S, so I guess I just never finished. Cedarfall really was my favorite. Wetwhisker. This image makes me uncomfortable. That third cat? That's Swiftstar's original design. The "empty" V was actually me making a mistake and then declaring it canon because (drawing traditionally) you can draw over white with black but you can't really draw over black with white. Additionally, that cat next to her, in the middle, is Nightpaw, aka the cat who stopped existing. I think this was me adapting this to a "new continuity." I think that's Tealheart, Blackpool, and Swiftpaw with "realistic" designs (ignoring Tealheart's eyelashes). But it's…uncomfortable. The patrol crests the hill to discover Heather Rise! In the initial concept, Heather Rise was going to be an island, but I changed my mind because in the map in my head, they traveled east, not west (the sun-drown-place is west). In order, Dusktalon, Blackpool, Swiftwing, Tealheart, Cedarfall, Gorsepelt, Furzetail, Flamespark, and Rust. Rust is finally visibly missing an eye, and it is indeed the left one. You can tell I didn't care about Tealheart (considering Cedarfall's tail is blocking her)…Gorsepelt can't get the Evil off his face… Rust killing Tealheart while Dusktalon lies on the ground, barely conscious. I have two separate characters in different universes named Shinepelt, so I don't know if this is TU Shinepelt or MM Shinepelt. MM Shinepelt is probably more reasonable because I actually cared about him, but I'm putting it here anyway. Flamespark and his loads of fur. Swiftstar, who has an extra ghost eye overlapping with her real eye!!! Why did I ever put the eye up there? I'm reasonably certain top left is Fernfrond (SC medicine cat), Willowcloud (TC medicine apprentice), and Darkfur (SC medicine apprentice). My first thought for who the cat on the right was was Tealheart, but…Tealheart never makes it back. I wondered if the scribbles were supposed to indicate that she was appearing to them from StarClan, but they look happy to see her. The most likely scenario is probably that I drew Tealheart meeting back up with them, then remembered she was supposed to be dead and crossed her out. Bottom, of course, is Dusktalon, Blackpool, and Tealheart. …Uh, Rust? Check your eye; I think you have the wrong one. Also, Gorsepelt has big fluffs, I thought Cedarfall looked too much like a tomato, and Dawnsilence is me, not a character from the story. Right is definitely Gorsepelt. I initially guessed that the cat on the left was Cedarfall, but now I think it's probably Spiderfoot or Ravenwing? Ravenwing was a good guy (as was Gorsepelt), but Spiderfoot was a bad guy, and I can't tell whether Gorsepelt is supposed to look more conspiratorial or mean in this picture. Take a guess. Why was he my favorite!? I remember drawing this to impress my great-uncle. I wasn't happy with it at the time, but it was the best thing I could do under pressure. Sunfrost, Dusktalon, and Moonspeckle. Why are there so many pictures of Rust with both eyes!? I actually like the coloring in the picture, but don't let that distract you from whatever is going on with his anatomy. I think it says Cedar instead of Cedarfall because this was supposed to be in a no-longer-Clan-cats continuity? Maybe I was just embarrassed to put a warrior-style name on a picture I drew at school (this was definitely made with MS Paint at school)? Look, I said he was my favorite character, and I meant it. I kind of like the atmosphere of this picture, though Cedarfall himself looks pretty weird. Willowcloud and Cloudfrost. I just kind of had this vision of them trailing light out of their paws. The colors are actually fairly pleasing even if the picture is really weird. Dusktalon, complete with fiery rage and icy fury. Oh no. Oh no. I forgot about this continuity. The Clans weren't Clans--I think they were called packs--and they weren't quite cats anymore. Each not-Clan had a type of power, which was genetic. However, one power could be "hidden" behind another, or a cat could inherit two powers. There were eight powers, technically, but only six were left. The powers were elemental. Eye color corresponded to power. Not-ThunderClan had vermilion eyes and could breathe this special kind of fire that wouldn't start a forest fire. Not-RiverClan had aqua eyes and could live underwater as easily as on land (they could swim or live at the bottom, so they sheltered underwater to avoid the worst of the war). Not-WindClan Part One had brown eyes and some kind of poorly-defined earth power (this was where Furze and Gorse were from). Not-ShadowClan had dark blue eyes and could turn invisible at night. Not-WindClan Part Two had pale blue eyes and could fly (this was the group Solstice took over). There were also ones with lightning powers, which involved both the zapping aspect and the light aspect (they could light up the area around them in brief bursts). As you can see, Dusktalon has two different colored eyes. This meant he technically had both darkness and lightning powers; however, he was bad at using both of them. He managed one single impressive bolt of lightning in the entire story, which killed Rust. There was supposed to be a lot of irony in how he was metaphorically invisible even though he was bad at turning invisible. Also, two eyes = two names, so people made fun of his name a lot. Also, the seventh and eighth powers were the elements of life and death. Life had cobalt blue eyes and completely undescribed powers; Rust's brother was the last Life not-cat, and he had left the area. Death had ice blue eyes, and Rust was the last Death cat. I remember that Rust could make a copy of himself and also make giant claws in front of his real ones. I…really wanted Rust and his brother to keep their original eye colors. (Also, this never became a plot point, but canonically if an albino cat had pink eyes it would have snow/ice powers.) Sisters. The cat in the middle/left is Skydapple (medicine cat), the tabby is Ferndapple (deputy), and the angry caracal-looking one is Rosethorn (evil mom). WIllowcloud with fake wings was a big thing for me back then. No one liked this picture back in the day, but compared to some of the other stuff here it's not so bad… The title of this one was "everyone has to fall someday," and it was vent art. I explained that the wings were fake and disappearing, but I still only got comments about how the wings weren't realistic. Oh well. It's not like it was a good picture in the first place. Her eye is way too purple, too. Dusktalon witnessing Gorsepelt and Rust arguing shortly before Rust throws Gorsepelt into a gorge. update (7/28) Ivystar. Cedarfall and ? someone living underwater. Teal: Why not? Dusktalon: I just don't, okay? …I mean… Dusktalon: How am I supposed to fit in with a name like Dusktalon? Teal: "Fit in?" … Well, I have some news for you. Swiftstar. The big one is Ivystar. Not sure about the small one. Dusktalon pouncing on Rust after the latter killed Tealheart. A very round Swiftstar. Grumpy Gorsepelt. Willowcloud and Cloudfrost. With eyebrows? I don't know why it's labeled "THE INVADER," but this is definitely Rust and Cedarfall. Flamespark. Cedarfall. Another Cedarfall. Ivystar and her kits. They all make it to warrior. The one next to her is Graywing. The other three respectively are Goldenpelt, Frostblossom, and Volepelt. Cedarfall as not quite a cat. I wanted them to look less like cats, but then they looked too much like wolves. Teal(heart) looking on as Blackthorn(/pool) beats up Dusktalon for bothering them during one of their secret meetings. Sun(frost), again not supposed to be a wolf. In the first few books Swiftstar had a crush on him, and she thought it was true love until she grew up and realized it was just a crush. Furze(tail) being sad. Cedar(fall). I think the balance between cat and wolf was about what I wanted, but there was no need for this. Sick and healthy; old and young; tormented and brazen. (Overdramatic and overconfident.) Dusktalon. Tone it down. Where's his other foot? Baby Rust. Why does Rust keep having both his eyes!? Flamepelt storyIn a Definitely Not Fanfiction universe, I believe some cats had powers and some didn't, but maybe everyone had powers? A bunch of cats went on a journey for reasons I don't remember. Glidertalon and Catbird. I guess they were the villains? That's vaguely familiar, but it's also possible they're not supposed to look evil. Catbird was the deputy (or equivalent) for Flamepelt's not-Clan. So the top left is Flamepelt, the top right is Catbird (wouldn't have recognized them except for the previous image), and the bottom three are labeled. There's actually something I like about Stormtail's face. I definitely remember that Yellowfeet had super speed, and I'm reasonably certain that Stormtail had super strength. Sun and Shadowsregular art (poorly drawn colored pencil blood) cover (created and last modified 4/15/12) Tansplotch and Rustlebreeze attacking each other while Oceanwhisker is sad and Songfur is optimistic. And now we can add Good Charlotte to our Emo Bands Tally. I love the water damage. Shimmerpaw/pool/star, Fernpaw, and Rustlepaw/breeze on their apprentice ceremony day. Rustlebreeze always hated Shimmerstar; she got Cometstar as her mentor and basically became a copy of him, so of course he was not too thrilled when Cometstar even made her deputy, and Rustlebreeze killing Cometstar made Shimmerstar leader. She was loud and annoying to him. Fernpaw, on the other hand, was basically his idea of perfect; of course she would never have lived up to expectations if you believed Rustlebreeze on how perfect Fernpaw was, but she died anyway. Ancient image. Rustlebreeze killing Cometstar. Graystar of RainClan is over there fighting Sunstorm, Aquafur, and Shimmerpool of HailClan. Cometstar was going to pounce on Graystar too, but Rustlebreeze killed him before he got the chance. And then I redrew it, making it worse. individual images used as part of the animation I did in fourth grade (2010) (poorly drawn blood) Now, unfortunately I ONLY have images from parts five and six. For the most part I've just chosen a few, but in the sequence where a bunch of cat couples come up on screen, I HAD to show you all of them. Oceanwhisker, medicine cat of CaveClan, who recently lost their leader and their deputy. CaveClan was later retconned in as being the remnants of GraupelClan after Wetwhisker destroyed them. Also Oceanwhisker. Cometsomething of CaveClan on the right. Rustlebreeze on the left. Rustlebreeze was the HailClan medicine cat, but he killed the leader, Cometstar, because Cometstar was insensitive. Then he ran away before he could be officially exiled and ended up competing with Tansplotch of SleetClan to be CaveClan's next leader. (Songfur, Tansplotch's former apprentice, became their next real leader, though Rustlebreeze was leader briefly.) Cometsomething's presence reminded him of Cometstar because they look virtually identical. He was really nervous and skittish. Songfur fighting. Rustlebreeze in the front with Cavepaw, Songfur, and Cometsomething behind him. Is it just me or does he remind you of Silver from Pokémon at all? As you can tell, I was very original. Fanged Silhouette Rustlebreeze. The little black cat is Cavepaw, who I guess probably died in battle with the mountain lion? Rustlebreeze is thought to have killed Tansplotch, but Tansplotch actually survived being dropped off a cliff and went home in sadness to find he had been exonerated. Then there's Cometstar, who Rustlestar definitely killed, and Songfur, who he attacked but didn't kill. It's Wetwhisker!!! Here she is!!! Wetwhisker and blood. Shocking. Echoleaf of CaveClan. She and Rustlebreeze fall in love, but then he turns out to be evil. Shrewpaw, Wetwhisker, and Rustlebreeze. Echoleaf and Rustlebreeze. I couldn't decide which background I would rather share. …Isn't that Songfur? Is it just me or did her stripes change color? Angry Songfur after Rustlebreeze "kills" Tansplotch. Well, her stripes have definitely been inconsistent, because this is also Songfur…? Rustlebreeze reuniting with his dead sister Fernpaw, the only cat to whom he's ever had a real emotional connection. Rustlebreeze's dead mentor Phoenixflight, whom he despised. Tansplotch and Songfur. From this universe: YES, major characters. Rustlebreeze and Echoleaf. From this universe: YES, major characters. Duskstar of StoneClan and ??? I forget his name. From this universe: NO, StoneClan was part of the foothills territories, not the river territories. Springfur of SnowClan and Rivertail of HailClan. From this universe: YES, many, many years later. Bluemink of HailClan and Darkeye of HailClan. From this universe: YES, many, many years later. Darkeye and Rivertail. From this universe: YES, many, many years later. Darkpaw(eye) and Saltpaw of RainClan. From this universe: YES, many, many years later. Starlingfeather of StoneClan and ??? I forget his name but he was probably a MoonClan cat. From this universe: NO, foothills territories again. Given that I have no clue who these cats are, my best guess is that these are StoneClan cats, which would be a NO. "Ash"'s version of Graystripe and Silverstream, both of whom are in ThunderClan. From this universe: NO at the time, though things get confusing nowadays because Dappled Leaves supposedly takes place within the canon Clans, and the river-territory Clans were founded by cats who supposedly ran into canon SkyClan, so I guess it would be a tentative yes nowadays, but back then neither of those things was true. update (7/25) Well, he's expressive, at least. Cometstar! Cometheart/star again. Shimmerpool/star. Rustlebreeze. Looking weirdly happy? The top row is Rustlebreeze, Cometstar, and Shimmerpool (medicine cat, leader, deputy). The brown-and-gray cat in the middle on the bottom is the old design for Fernpaw, and the fancy golden one is Sunstorm. The white cat is Blizzardfire; I was planning to write a prequel about him. The prophecy was something like "fire is enough to melt the toughest of snow, but it is water that puts out the flames," which I think is the best prophecy I've ever written, so I hope I didn't steal it from somewhere. I then repurposed the prophecy to somehow be about crowfood and made it about Starlingfeather of StoneClan. small update (7/28) Blizzardfire and his siblings, Rustheart and Sorrelstripe. Foxstar: We can't let fear for the future hold us back. It will weaken us. Do what you think is right. Brindlefoot: But I don't know anymore what is right! Foxstar: Then use your instincts. Brindlefoot: I don't trust them. I'm too young. Foxstar: Then trust RockClan. The joke is that they go to fight the mountain lion and both Foxstar and Brindlefoot die, leaving CaveClan without a leader or a deputy. Shimmerstar, Snowheart, and Aquafur mourning Cometstar. canon Warriors charactersart (as of 7/25) (minor blood, better than that elsewhere on the page) Beautiful markerstrokes. Concept's not bad, and I have to say I like that their eyes break the warm/cool pattern. My dad laughed at this one when I was drawing it. Please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers the faceless silver queen. Bird drawn for ARD. This design actually got put in! There are two Birds in ARD, and this is one of them. Crookedstar. Much as I want to include Pillar on the Emo Band Lyrics tally, it really doesn't fit in. I can't even slide it by on the basis of the particular lyrics I chose, because while this song does have some "you're holding yourself back," the message is "stop holding yourself back." Birdy and Little Mew from the Graystripe mangas. This was part of a cover for a story I never wrote (drew?), but I appear to have deleted the full image. Briarlight. Brightheart, whose reflection's hind paw is overlapping with her real hind paw. I was bored in physics and wanted to use my new metallic pens. The blood is bronze, and the highlights are silver and gold. Ivypool, Hawkfrost, and Tigerstar. This was the second picture I ever made on Pixelmator (first on Pixelmator on my home computer). You can see that this was back in the day when I headcanoned his collar as blue, though I've accepted the purple as the closest we're ever getting to a confirmation. Ivypool. Nice hair, Hollowflight. This design for Jag did not make it into ARD. I was a little disappointed because the whole reason I chose Jag as one of the cats to design was because of Jaggedtuft (IAVS). What a beautiful Mosskit. Jayfeather with more Pillar lyrics, and I think this time I am going to stick Pillar on the tally. Now, I'm pretty sure 12 Stones was added to the tally lower down on the page, but we're going in order of me posting things, not in order of you guys scrolling down, so this is going to be the fifth band on the list. For reference the list is currently Evanescence, Skillet, Good Charlotte, 12 Stones, and now Pillar. (Awake is actually a good song, and I will readily admit that I don't think Pillar is a very good band.) Brackenfur. Night also didn't make it into ARD, but that's okay. Thrushpelt. Blackstar. Wait, would Lumpy Space Blackstar technically count as Blackstar? I'm not moving the image up here… Cinderpelt. Anatomy aside this is actually a cute picture. By the way, the reason I'm not giving a date for these little pictures is because I actually screenshotted these from bigger pictures and appear to have deleted the full images. Sigh. created and modified 3/10/14 At least we're ending on a fairly decent note, considering it's 2014. I think my coloring was a bit bland back then, but overall the art was just so pleasant. I mean, this isn't a pleasant scene, but the look of it is good. Mapleshade and Crookedpaw. I know this design is a fair bit less than canon nowadays, but I still picture Mapleshade looking pretty similar to how she does in this picture. Also, don't think I've forgotten; we can now add Avenged Sevenfold to the Emo Lyrics tally. small update (7/28) Yellowfang.

hope folderThe "hope" folder is just a folder that contains a whole bunch of images that I posted on wcf for the same purpose that I'm posting stuff now. A lot of it fits other themes above, but plenty of it doesn't or is impossible to place. That doesn't look good. To be fair, I drew this in second grade, but I still think it deserves a spot here. I don't think this is the canon Foxheart. Believe it or not, Hollyfrost was actually not alive at this time. I believe Hollyfrost canonically lived later in the timeline, but maybe earlier? Just by a couple generations. The blue-and-black one is Duskstar, who is officially solid black but I wanted to be able to show more of the lines. The two on the right that are solid black are Starlingpaw/feather (main character) and Jackdawpaw/talon (her brother). I thought their names were funny because "feather" is close to equivalent to "wing" and "talon" is equivalent to "claw," which of course made their full names equivalent to Starlingwing and Jackdawclaw. I believe the one on the right is Talonkit. Beautiful anatomy. You can tell whether I drew an image before or after seeing the Graystripe manga guide by the shape of the face. I think this is Snowbolt. All-cat version of a story called Outcast. The one closest to the, uh, front of the page? is Reed. The one furthest right is probably Reddawn, the main character. I feel like I should know who those kits are, but all I can do is say the orange one is probably named Tigerkit. The cat on the right is named Liana. This is also Liana. She's darker in the previous picture because it's nighttime. …Experiment: what is this a picture of? 2010created and modified 11/13/10 Carina the lion. created and modified 9/29/10 Dawnsilence, aka me! created and modified 8/19/10 Maplestar of MoonClan; I sure hope I didn't design her. created and modified 5/14/10 Yawning caracal. created and modified 11/13/10 A ruddy Abyssinian and a blue Abyssinian. created and modified 5/8/10 "Ash"'s toy wolf…Wolfy. 2011created and modified 10/29/11 A jerboa. created and modified 7/29/11 Bottle, a request for someone. created and modified 5/15/11 Uh, apparently I finished this picture before 8 A.M. created and modified 10/9/11 Not sure. created and modified 7/28/11 Ember's Glow, a request for someone. created and modified 12/11/11 Heavily referenced; someone's cat Dobby. created 1/24/11 and last modified 1/25/11 It had something to do with someone else's OC that might have been named Bloodsun or something like that. created and modified 7/28/11 Foxfoot, a request for someone. created and modified 7/29/11 Hunter, a request for someone. created and modified 7/28/11 Icystorm, a request for someone. (icystorm?) Lark, a bully from a story I was writing. created and modified 9/18/11 Leo, a stray cat I named. created and modified 10/17/11 November. created and modified 7/3/11 Little pixel raccoon made for "Ash," who hated it. created and modified 5/14/11 Someone's pet cat. created and modified 8/7/11 No name listed, but it was a request for someone. Sparrow, Lark's friendly sister from the story I was writing. created and modified 7/28/11 Stormpaw, who might have been a request? created and modified 5/8/11 A cover for a story "Ash" was planning to write but never got around to. Swallow, Lark and Sparrow's mother. The father was named Crow. created and modified 12/12/11 I thought maybe it would be easier if it was all pixely. created and modified 7/28/11 Willowsong, a request for someone. Also, I guess I should say it now. The moon is not a brush. The circular base for it is a brush, but I colored in that circular brush mark. Thank you. created and modified 7/29/11 Wing of Blinking Firefly, a request. 2012(poorly drawn blood) created and modified 3/5/12 A rainbow cat. created 11/7/12 and last modified 11/8/12 I let my friend name him, and she named him Archimedes. created and modified 3/17/12 There was some reason I did the lightning like that, but I forget what it was. Probably just pettiness. It's still ugly. The gray apprentice furthest left is Jaypaw/spark. The brown tabby with the wings curved over is Heatherpaw/...wing?, whose wings are really big. The dark brown and white one that looks evil is Huntingpaw/claw, who likes dangerous things. The dark gray one behind Huntingpaw is Lynxpaw/...I don't know, his friend. The ginger and white one is Starpaw/...flight?, Heatherpaw's former friend. The yellow and gray one at the bottom is Finchpaw/whisker, Heatherpaw's friend. created and modified 5/5/12 The file name is "arlkj," so your guess is as good as mine. last modified 3 days after its creation Ashtail ("Ash") is the one in the raccoon hat. Besides her, the "guests" are: Nonexistent Person, me, "Ebony," "Amber," "Fish," "Aspen," "Shadow," and "Lynx" from real life; Blackstar, Rocky, and Devin from ARD/ARF; Sable and Jet; Nyan from Rogues; Internet Cat; Willowpaw and Snarepaw from Dappled Leaves; Cloudfrost, Swiftstar, and Willowcloud from Three United; Lynn, Sniff, and Glass from the Tadpole story; and Sodastream and Shimmerclaw from RWSClan (I don't remember what that stands for). (Actually, Sodastream was mine, so I guess she wasn't technically from RWSClan?) A blue dragon. My cat staring at me creepily. created and modified 3/16/12 If you look closely you can see the cat's body too. created and modified 5/27/12 Brambleberry for a contest. My, Breezepelt, what big eyes and ears you have. created and modified 4/26/12 Brightpaw, apparently. created and modified 1/23/12 Brightwhisker, but she's not the warrior version of the above Brightpaw, as you can tell from their differing spots and colors. Brightwhisker's basic story is that she became obsessed with a beautiful but important crystal, stole it, killed someone, and then spent the rest of her life trying to hide what she had done. Also, this image code contains the name "Seth." Is it a sign? Caracal. I heavily referenced this picture with my own photo of my cat, and it's still not good. I wanted to see if it would be cool. created and modified 9/6/12 Cloudburst. A stone dragon I drew while bored. created and modified 9/29/12 Estelle. With fire, I guess. created and modified 3/20/12 An "evil purple gilly goat" that successfully creeped "Ash" out. created and modified 6/21/12 The smudge tool! This was drawn as a request for "Ash." created and modified 2/25/12 This one was a request. created and modified 5/28/12 I remember that I pushed the wrong button but thought the sun looked cool there so I kept it. My cat. created and modified 3/13/12 Gradually reducing the width of the outlines. created and modified 6/10/12 Not sure. Ink. created and modified 1/10/12 This one was a request. created 10/3/12 and modified 10/4/12; variant saved 10/4/12 I probably switched the shading layer to something weird, but I couldn't get that effect if I tried. Lady Gatorade the jaguar. created and modified 2/11/12 Kits for a contest. I believe that I won due to being the only person to enter the contest at all. created and modified 7/4/12 Lumpy Space Blackstar. I remember the joke, but I don't remember how it started. created and modified 5/26/12 Leafpool. Maybe for a contest? I accidentally called marshmallows "marthmallows," and "Ash" described something like this, so I drew it. created and modified 5/20/12 Wow, amazing. created and modified 7/15/12 Mountainbreeze. I believe this one was a request, but no background was specified. The background is definitely the place where RockClan cats appear to the river-territory cats. created and modified 1/19/12 Brightwhisker after killing someone. created and modified 2/28/12 Otterstripe, apparently. created and modified 1/27/12 I drew this for a contest, then scrolled down and saw that apparently the kit was supposed to be white, so I gave up and didn't post anything. Professor Bear with his safety goggles. I think this one was a request. All of the characters from someone's cat Hunger Games story. Greeneye in a very blue place. The yellow thing on the door is a lever equivalent to a doorknob since not everyone has thumbs. created and modified 6/26/12 "Ash"'s cloudy metal bunny creature that, like, puts souls in the bucket. She didn't like my picture because the metal wasn't metallic. Halloween, obviously. created and modified 9/22/12 The original design for Ink, the black/green/white one. I wanted to use as many markers as possible in the eyes. A serval. created and modified 2/11/12 A jumping serval. created 6/6/12 and modified 6/7/12 Silver cat and gold cat. created and modified 6/8/12 Silver cat and gold cat, Real Cats Edition. created and modified 5/22/12 "Hawk"'s other bone-patterned character, Skullface. All she gave me to go on for Skullface and the Bonestars was that they all had bone patterns, so I guess technically I gave them their specific designs, but I didn't invent them. created and modified 4/9/12 Spark, a request for someone. created and modified 6/6/12 A request for someone. The left cat is their OC, and the right cat is Hawkfrost. Well, Skillet is already on the Emo Band Lyrics tally, but here it is again. The cat with the watch is Spite. Stormfur. created and modified 4/28/12 Drawn to practice shading on stripes. created and modified 4/25/12 Drawn to practice shading on stripes, but this one was three days earlier than the one above. created and modified 6/6/12 Larka and Fell from The Sight. created and modified 3/1/12 Drawn for a contest that I'm not sure was ever judged. created and modified 2/12/12 Whitestar and Wolfheart, a request for someone. created and modified 2/5/12 "wanderer" created and modified 2/29/12 "through the snow" created and modified 10/17/12 "wanderer snow"

2013How the hell did I manage THIS!? Though I do have to point out, the foreground is supposed to be water. screenshot taken 12/31/13 but picture probably drawn earlier "Adder," "Ebony," and "Fish" going through papers. created and modified 12/8/13 Ashley. I was really bored in physics. created 3/10/13 and last modified 3/12/13 Quicksilver, Reiya, and Archimedes. I used them to practice coloring. Bob's not a fan of those dogs. created 1/4/13 and modified 1/12/13 "Adder" named Lavender and requested a picture of Lavender falling off of something in front of Ink. Lord Gatorade and Evil Lioness from Milk by "Adder." created 1/22/13 and modified 1/23/13 "Adder" also requested Lavender hugging Archimedes. created and modified 2/3/13 Now that's what I call edgy! Does 12 Stones count toward the Emo Lyrics tally? I'd say it does. That's four so far. created and modified 6/3/13 I know this was a request, and I can't remember for sure, but…I have a sneaking suspicion that it might have been for shrimp. Before I knew shrimp was a shrimp, I swear, but come on. created 1/24/13 and modified 1/26/13 "Adder" had me create a Pericles to be Archimedes' brother. created and modified 11/17/13 What an inconspicuous and subtle forehead marking. Poppy and Mr. Ocax from Poppy. created and modified 4/28/13 Radon and her daughters (get it?). Snarly, the opossum who is both a lawyer and a taxidermist. A request for X--Crimson. The cobalt and yellow head is Cobaltwhisker; the eyepatch is because he's a pirate. The striped head is Jaggedtuft complete with a band that's not a watch, it's a wristband. created and modified 2/11/13 Lavender and Margo celebrating Valentine's Day. created and modified 2/11/13 This is as good a place as any to talk about Reiya. Her original design had pink, purple, and white, but then I dreamed about redesigning her as pretty much exactly what you see here. I'm glad I listened; I really like these colors. Maybe not for a cat, but then again maybe I'll stick them on a cat in the Amethyst world. Also for Valentine's Day. created and modified 2/11/13 Archimedes got too many flowers. created and modified 2/11/13 Pericles did not get too many flowers. 2014UNFINISHED Yeah, I never finished this one. Why is it 2x the scale of the other ones? I made them all this size, then shrank them down. created and modified 8/4/15 Ashfur. I got compliments about how it was cool that Ashfur looked like paper, but I have to confess that that was unintentional. Chalize from Fablehaven. created and modified 4/12/14 The left cat is Arsenic. The right cat is S, the same ruddy Abyssinian as before. psst they're lesbians (well actually Arsenic is bi) This picture got declined four times from being posted in wcf even though not only is there no indication they're in love, I didn't even indicate that they were both she-cats. Sketch of a cat on the beach. created and modified 11/23/14 And this should have been included as a picture of Hollyfrost, but I'm barely even in the picture. It's just a few inside jokes thrown together into the phrase "Adder" and I would say to each other. created and modified 2/5/14 The cover for SleetBerry's comic about real life. created and modified 5/1/14 Spite with a bell and lightning. If you look at the fire in the background, I think I used the exact same photo that I used in the Ashfur picture. Yes, I took the photo. Of a campfire. modified 5/2/14 …Same picture. HollyfrostI'll point out things that are specifically different about the design in each picture as opposed to today. created and modified 11/19/11 Nose is the wrong shade. Forehead tufts now point right. Should be 4 on forehead and 4 on each cheek. created and modified 4/18/11 Eyes are the wrong shade. I can't tell if the correct tufts are just a coincidence. created and modified 1/22/12 I can't see the tufts very well, so I'm not really sure what they look like or if any are hidden in the fact that I'm a blob. This was pure vent art and I said that it was and I got nothing but hate. The Art Forum is dead now, but it used to be out for blood. created and modified 5/11/12 Actually, the design looks spot-on, even if the art is weird. created and modified 4/13/12 Nose is the wrong shade. created and modified 11/27/11 Eyes are missing the spring green rings. Nose is the wrong shade. THIS IS IT THIS IS THE ONE even after all my experience I was shocked at how rude people were about this one. Really, guys? created and modified 10/30/11 Maybe they were just mad that I had previously demonstrated that I knew what lineart was and still reverted to blob cat? Forehead tufts now point right. created and modified 10/11/11 Eyes and nose are wrong. created and modified 3/15/12 Or maybe it's just that the forums were getting ruder at the time, because this one was also slammed. This attempt to celebrate Valentine's Day created a world of pain because my sister was convinced it meant I was IN LOVE!!! with someone. update (7/28) Should be four on each side of the face. The chest tuft is now gone. Uh, that's a really ugly picture. Should be four, four, can't see the other four but also four, with the forehead tufts pointing right. Should be four on the sides and spikier in general.

box 1This is NOWHERE NEAR the actual amount of papers in the box. We're talking, like, a stack four inches tall per box (though of course notebooks take up more than their fair share of space compared to regular paper). Think of this as a highlights reel. Minus anything that falls under a category above, because yes, I sorted this before posting to the best of my ability. This is the first page of a notebook with a metal cover. Fortunately, I did manage to write my name on the cover of the notebook! In nail polish. I vaguely remember drawing these characters, but I don't think I had a story ready for them, so they just kind of…had designs, and that was it. The taiga is the coniferous boreal forests, and the tundra is where permafrost is. The picture looks nice at first glance, but check out the anatomy. Wren sure doesn't look very gentle or friendly for someone named Wren. The smudges… Big head. I think this might be Harepaw of RiverClan and Umbrapaw of ShadowClan. Clawface and Blackstar as those powerful cat-wolf-things from the Three United alternate continuity. Their power was to become completely invisible at night, but others with that power could still see them. Uh…look who it is, guys! I distinctly remember Lapis Lazuli looking like this; I'm not sure if Laurel was a different character with a similar design or if Lapis and Laurel were just different editions of the same character. A very spiky lizard thing. A pheasant with a short tail. "Dragon." Did I really need to label it? I'm pretty sure this dragon is Phainopepla's dragon form from the Amethyst universe. My take on birds of paradise, I guess--you can see that it has six wires… Scary lynx. I don't know what this cat's name is, but it's not Leopard. …Beautiful. Feathersong, maybe? Could be a different cross-eyed Siamese cat. I trust him. (The G stands for Grizzly.) Aww. The art isn't good, but he still makes this face today. I'm not counting Bearscar and the other magic afterlife cats as any particular continuity. I was trying to make his eye creepy, but, uh, I ended up with what you see above. box 2Once again, nowhere NEAR the actual amount of papers in the box. I'm not going to put this disclaimer on the future ones, but just know that that applies to every box. Briarstar and either Blackpaw or Leopardpaw stealing a rival leader's kit. Blackpaw and Leopardpaw were both brought on the mission, but I don't know which one that is. Briarstar brought apprentices with her because warriors would be more hesitant to attack them than to attack warriors. …And here they are as winged cats. Briar is facing off against presumably the kit's parent, Leopard by her side. I recognize some of these characters, and I assume the rest are from the same story. The upper right is Lark, the bully; there was also a drawing of Lark in the hope folder. The upper left is Lotus, who was kind of chill but also didn't like the main character. The one with the stripy ruff and tail tip is Linsang, the whiny main character, and the taller one with the dark stripe on her back is his mother, Lizzie. The cat with fangs is Niesha, the villain, and the cat with one eye is Piper, the love interest. I don't know who these wolves are, but they don't look happy. Wow, Liana, your face is so…multicolored. I actually specifically remember that her smile wasn't intended to be crooked when I first started drawing. At least you can tell I had seen a bird before. I was looking at a bunch of cute little birds when I drew this. Nice hair. Fancy pencils. What's with that fur!? I think it would be cool to see what my art would look like today if I'd never read that Graystripe manga guide. I believe their names are Talonkit and Raccoonkit. Nice spots. tabby: Featherfur! Dawn patrol! ridge back: Looks wiped out to me. narration: Later tabby: What do you smell? sound effects: sniff sniff ridge back: SnowClan. True art. I have no idea what the story was, but they're probably HailClan cats. Hey, it's those kits again. cat: She was a great leader. I don't know who this is or who they're talking about. I have to wonder how much of the hairstyle thing can be explained by that "anime drawing class" my dad made me take. Servals…? There's a decent chance this is Penne, but there are a lot of harlequin cats in my past characters. My mom made me watch Order of the Phoenix with her, so I grabbed a stack of beat up papers and started drawing. I remembered that the first time I watched OotP, I drew some creature--maybe it looked something like this? Definitely had big pupils, probably scraggly fur, a pointy tail, long body, long legs? Then I turned the paper over to draw on the other side, and… How!? The colors were slightly less awful in the real world…except for the muzzle/underbelly/paws color, which is pretty much neon. That's a long eyebrow. Also, take a moment to look at the legs. I don't know why the other half of the image is ripped off. I thought my four-color pen was really cool. I wonder if this is Aster. Drippingrise: Rafter? Are you there? Drippingrise (who is also featured in an image in a previous section) is the main character and the leader of his group of cats, and Rafter is the leader of the rival group of cats. They fight sometimes, but the rivalry is honestly not as much enmity as you might think on the surface. The book ends with both Rafter and Drippingrise getting swept away underneath the icy river. I think this might be a lioness? I think the cat on the left is a ThunderClan cat, and the cat on the right is one of Birdflight's kits. A caracal. With the pupil thing! That pupil shape was a Thing for a long time! I knew it wasn't what pupils looked like, but I liked drawing them that way. Cerisefall, Scarletwing, and Carminetuft, Redstar's daughters in a fanfiction I wrote because I hated Redstar. He also had a son named Crimsonclaw. This was going to be the cover for the Redstar fanfiction. Wetwhisker!!! Wetwhisker!!! Again. I thought it would be cool if I made the clouds blue and the sky white. Cat drawn to Ashtail's specifications to show off how good I was at drawing. I remember drawing this, but I don't remember the characters. A monster I made out of Model Magic. main character's narration: I've got to win this. main character's narration: It's important to me. main character's brother: Go! You can do it. I drew this in fifth grade. Our grade's good artist saw it and started making fun of it, so I quit the whole comic after less than a page. The main character's name was basically "silver" but with letters changed/added; her opponent's name was "cerulean" with lots of letters deleted, and her brother's name was an intentionally badly mangled version of "Ian" (to the point where it would make far more sense for it to be a mangled version of "Peyton"). Also, they're fencing. S and V return, with S on the right and V on top of the cage. Back in the day the gray and white cat was named Ivy, the kitten in the cage was named Carmine, and the black cat was named Jessie. The white cat is named Egret. Someone on wcf issued a challenge: draw a realistic cat…that's green and blue with purple wings. I recognize this chainsaw-elbowed lion as an inside joke, but I have no clue how the joke came to be. Oh, hey, these rabbit things. I don't remember their names or their story (unless they were the replacement for Blackpaw and Leopardpaw in the story with Briarstar stealing the kit, but I don't think they are, though it's a better guess than any other specific guess I can come up with), but I do remember that I originally intended them to be dark gray and orange rather than white and orange, then decided I liked the way the orange looked against the white. I don't know why their toes are like that. box 3Sometimes drawing your dreams is a good idea. The coloring on this one really distracts from the anatomy, but don't be fooled. The tabby is sort of a more loyalty-conflicted TNP-Bramblestar-type; the calico is briefly his love interest until she realizes he's not committed to the rebel cause. He does come through in the end, but they do not become a couple again. When I first saw this picture, I was like, "Okay, Swiftstar and--" but I actually have no idea who these characters are. I give it about a 10% chance these are Swiftstar's babies, but that's not enough confidence to list them as Three United. I don't know why the cats look so similar, but I feel like this was a sort of "Rainingwinds plot redo except this time it really is Warriors" thing? Looks painful. Actually, the sleeping one has a cute face, but that's about it. In my defense, this and the previous one were pretty clearly from second grade, but they're still pretty funny. This is another picture where I give it about a 10% chance that this is Rustlebreeze, but that's not enough for me to put it in Sun and Shadows. If it weren't for that eye, this would be halfway decent. Just absorb the picture. Take some time. I've always hated drawing the body. Wow, I love those lightning bolts. Realistic. And the eyebrow. And the hair. I remember drawing this cat! His name is Blizzard. My "friends" told me I should draw a mascot since I was such a good artist. After I drew Blizzard, they laughed at how bad he was and complained to the teacher that I wasn't doing my work. Well, Blackwillow looks pretty happy. I don't even want to know how long ago this was. …But why? The back of the paper says that this fox is named Mary Beth. The Ivory Mountains are a dangerous place. Do you ever just forget how to draw cats? Why did I think those whiskers were a good idea? Unfinished Linsang and Niesha. boxes 4-6Disappointing haul. A lot of it is new art and/or largely empty notebooks. There are two promising "chub notebooks," but I'm not going through those. Sorry, guys. The Zoloft days! Zoloft is a depression medication, and it helps some people, but…it did nothing to help me and had some pretty bad side effects. That said, I did get some interesting art out of it. Hopefully I have more of it in another box. Lord Gatorade and Evil Lioness from Milk again. The best part about getting your own oil pastels is that no one can yell at you for misusing them. Wow, Estelle, you look great in this picture. Truly beautiful. Hey, it's one of these things. Unfinished Linsang. There's definitely enough Linsang art that I should give it its own section, but then this part would have virtually no pictures despite being the highlights of three boxes. His design was really well thought out. I tried so hard. Lotus, the scrapped design for her sister Cyanwhisker, and, uh…someone….from the Linsang story. After going off and training with Niesha, Linsang learns a fighting tactic that allows him to completely overpower Lark when she picks on him. He almost kills her. Niesha tells Linsang the time of the next meeting. However, when he arrives he finds only Piper there. She always stayed back from the fights, claiming that her missing eye made battle impossible, but Linsang found out one time that Piper was perfectly capable of fighting and was just too scared to officially leave Niesha's group. Piper tells him that Niesha is attacking Linsang's family and if there was ever a time for him to realize Niesha was bad news it's now. Piper really didn't need a spiked collar. Obviously Linsang there in the middle. The cats behind him are Cyanwhisker and Lotus. Initially the two of them are on civil terms with him, but one day he claws Lotus because he's frustrated during training. Understandably, they aren't a fan of him after that. In the foreground, the cat on the left is Lark, the cat in the middle is Sparrow (who is friendly with Linsang but still gets along with her sister), and the cat on the right is Stone, another bully. For what it's worth, the point of the story was "Linsang is whiny and in the wrong when he lashes out, but Lizzie isn't a very good parent, and she could have prevented this by actually noticing that something was wrong." I was ahead of my time. boxes 7-10I didn't care enough to divide them by box anymore. If I had found a ridiculous amount of art, then I would have divided it, but this is fine. Drippingrise's daughter and Rafter's son had kits together (I hadn't read TNP yet I promise). However, Rafter's son was not a good guy. What eventually happened was that he stole the kits, then died in the same icy river where their fathers died while she was too scared to save him but did manage to save both of their kits. Tigerstar Figure and Conflicted Bramblestar Figure from the story with Estelle. I was learning. The professor again. The tabby is threatening Pebble with being pushed off into the ocean as ridiculously disproportionate punishment. Why does his back look like that? Linsang was the pinnacle of design. Here she comes…watch out…what ends up happening is that she sets the forest on fire, then swims off the island. Mira is Brightwhisker as something that's not a cat. Piper. This is actually incredible for how old it is--I remember using this for the cover of my math binder in sixth grade. Nightsilver was a RC/BSRC character, but I reused the name for this cat, who shares almost exactly the same stripe pattern as Spite. IAVS stuff! Leafstream chasing Jayflight with papers. Technically Adderbite hadn't met Owlclaw and Brackenclaw yet when the Godzilla was a thing…its tail was detachable, so they would fill it with mints and sometimes Cocoa Puffs, then remove the tail and pour the food out through the…tail hole…in front of opposing teams. Adderbite leaning on Jaggedtuft while Emeraldheart walks away in disgust. This image is too flattering for him. Arsenic and S reuniting!!! The Zoloft days. These are catlike dragons. Zoloft Spite. Spite is the red and gray cat who sometimes has wings. Sable and Jet! Sable is very adventurous and not at all smart, and Jet is her slightly more level-headed younger brother. Give up, Jet; she's not going to listen.

I love the one with the mirror. I never noticed the anatomy was off, actually. again, thank you I wonder if that's partly because it's so dark? coloring can really affect whether people notice mistakes in the shapes

It definitely becomes more noticeable to me when I turn the brightness up, so it's pretty unfortunate that I like low brightness screens

cx Well, I can't say my cats have perfect anatomy (my humans certainly don't), so I have to say that I still like it and didn't notice.
By the way, how are you doing? I haven't asked you recently.

I actually really like some of these I like some of them too 2014 come back but I'm hopefully going to find more of the bad stuff tomorrow (I'm also trying to work on my cat ask things but I need to have motivation at a time when no family members are around to look at what I'm drawing) there's also like a 5% chance I could see Adderbite tomorrow but I don't think I'll be able to rip I'm already counting down the days until Christmas now

Yeah, I know what you mean. I have those days too. Adderbite is in town but she's leaving tomorrow and I still haven't gotten to see her and I don't know maybe she doesn't want to see me but I think her parents are keeping her away from her friends on purpose

No need to apologies. We can't always help how we feel.
<3 We all need to improve on that. Constantly having a small mantra in your head of 'I can't help how other people feel, I can't change other people to make them better, I can only ask to improve myself, not them, your life should not revolve around making others happy if it makes you miserable'. Things like that. So you aren't alone in the struggle.
Yeah. Been there, done that. cx I'm very flattered, however.
