Here are some ideas I'm brainstorming for landmarks. In FaithClan, I was thinking maybe a twisted tree growing up through the broken gravel road? And maybe a tunnel in the downtown region where moss grows abundantly? In WhisperClan, I was thinking about having the sewers be in their territory. And also maybe a vine-tangled lamppost that marks the center of their territory? I also added to the main post, including more on the warrior names. For names of the landmarks, I was thinking maybe just the Twisted Tree and Moss Tunnel for FaithClan. And maybe for WhisperClan, they could be called Rat Drainpipes and the Vine Post? Im fine with those landmarks! I typically dont do much with territories, so I'll leave that bit to you c:
Nice stuff for the names! So are there regular warriors and then the subsets, or are the warriors the name for the entire group than encompasses the small subunits?

Cadets train under a soldier for 3 moons learning the basics before being placed in a specialty by the General, which they are then given a new mentor to train until around the age of 12-13 moons.

I think sewers go through entire cities, just something to think about EDIT*** I suppose if part of it has rotten down, it could work Yeah they go through the whole city but like you said, I was thinking part of the sewers are either collapsed or barricaded.

Alright, that makes more sense. it could also add some interesting plot points. there could be a plague-like source in the sewers, and there could be a cat that gets sick. That is exactly what I'm going with!

Well we have names, territory and camps, ranks, a naming system. We need a layout for sure. I have rules typed up from previous Clans that I'm just going to add to. Because in my phone, I can't do layouts atm.
Maybe get the herb list and battle moves?

I could take a stab at coding, but you'd have to tell me what colors and picture themes you'd like to go with it?
I like the sewer ideas! I could try to find an herb list with edits to include more warm-climate plants as well, however they want to use the herbs is up to them. I was thinking a standard battle move list, but they are both army-based so should have different formations and battle procedures before getting down to actual battle. Unfortunately, while cats can decide not to kill their downed enemy, they are warring clans and that detail may not be touched upon in their code. Could cause some drama there!

I think for colors, I want to do pinks, greys, black, and white. Use the darker colors for WhisperClan and the lighter colors for FaithClan.
Including warm-climate herbs would be good. And I think developing some new battle moves based on war tactics would be interesting.

I could try some things with that! I assume just forest-y pictures and dividers will suffice.
I dont typically do a lot of herb and battle stuff so we might need to do some research haha

Yeah that would be fine for the layout and banners!
I'm going to hop on my laptop when I get home and do some research as far as that.

Post by [ ᴅᴀᴍᴘʀᴇᴇᴅ ] on Jul 23, 2017 18:43:12 GMT -5
Well we need to type up the camps and territories, battle moves and herbs. We need a soldier code and some new traditions.
And we should into the specifics for paint for WhisperClan and jewelry for FaithClan.

|
|
Post by ᴍɪsᴛғᴀʟʟ » on Jul 24, 2017 10:58:25 GMT -5
Sounds good- we can probably go from the warrior code and base it off that, with any new traditions we'd like to put in. I'll try to find plant stuff, and maybe some battle move things you can change as you'd like c:
Paint for different things, and jewelry for different things? We could do a base paint design for Whisperclan that is added on to as the cat goes through life? And jewelry on different parts of the body means different things?

FaithClan is a Clan where jewelry means something specific. Each piece is based on rank, kinship, mentor-ship, mates, and even virtues. The placement of jewelry is also symbolic. When a kitten reaches the age of six moons and becomes a cadet, he or she is given a woven necklace made by the retirees. Once the cadet has trained under his or her given mentoring soldier, he or she is given a specific rank by the general to continue training under and is given a new mentor based on such. He or she is then given a charm with a color symbolic to each rank. A charm in the color of green represents combatants. A charm in the color of black represents spies. A charm in the color of yellow represents runners. A charm in the color of red represents guards. A charm in the color of pink represents medics. WIP
Colors: #49b616, #000000, #f5ff00, #d30f06, #ff62a1.

SOLDIER'S CODE●Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
●Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory. ●Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating. ●Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life. ●A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice. ●Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. ●A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice. ●The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled. ●After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh. ●A Gathering of the clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time. ●Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. ●No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan. ●The word of the Clan leader is the soldier code. When the leader is not present, the word of the cat in charge is code. ●An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless it is in self-defense, they are ordered to, or are not part of the code ●Kits must stay in camp until they are apprenticed,[13] and are not allowed to hunt.[14] ●The safety of the Clan is more important than the safety of one cat.[15]
Exceptions
●Cats may travel on other Clan territories if they have something to report or ask for help.[10] ●The code is flexible about leadership challenges. Cats may challenge a weak or cruel leader if their Clan is in danger, and if their leadership threatens the Clan, the code expects a warrior to challenge their leader.[11] ●Prisoners of war are not part of the clan. Once a war is won, prisoners must be allowed their freedom regardless of which side won. ●Half-clan cats are lowered to the status of prisoner during times of war to prevent their mixed heritage from interfering with the war in a biased way. Kits go with the clan of their mother until they are apprentice age, when they may decide which clan they wish to live in.

I'll give you some options. Do you want to write the background history for the two Clans (just as one big history - like two paragraphs), start one of the Clan's territory and camp, or write up a little introduction?
Feel free to claim character names. You get your choice on high-ranking positions. I'll let you take up to two spots(one in each Clan). I'm claiming general of FaithClan and medic cadet of WhisperClan.
