Coalstrike | Tom | 27 moons | Warrior Appearance: Known for blending into the shadows, Coalstrike has a jet black pelt that clings closely to his frame. His eyes are a paler shade of amber, but they seem fairly bright when compared to his coat. He is a thin and wiry tom, making him look especially agile and sleek; as such, he is a fairly small cat, especially in comparison to his clanmates. His small and skinny stature makes him a prime candidate for fitting into small spaces in the CaveClan territory; it also makes him a target for getting trapped in winding passages due to his obstinate and curious nature. | Personality: He's pretty full of himself, to be quite honest. As mentioned before, he's a curious and stubborn cat who spends a lot of his time doing things to fulfill his own interests and ego. He especially enjoys picking fights that he probably shouldn't ever pick, not that he realizes this of course. He's not a very popular cat, which doesn't come as much surprise to anyone except him. He still has his clan's interests at heart, even if he's a royal pain in the tail, and is very much drawn toward other cats who behave like him. Likes: Spelunking, Tracking, Hunting | Dislikes: Being above ground; he feels like he sticks out like a sore paw. Being proven wrong or made a fool of. Introspection | Yewfoot (sister); Parents have passed on. He's not particularly close with his sister.| Backstory: Coalstrike is a tom who constantly feels he got the genetic short-stick from his parents; he's always been much smaller than Yewfoot and he never quite got over that fact. In his youth he was the prime target to Yewfoot's exuberant mocking; much of this treatment caused him to grow fairly distant from his family and he developed a bit of a narcissism about himself. Coalstrike believes that he is alone responsible for his success. This does hold some water, as he is one of the best cats at navigating the underground cave network. He still refuses to develop a strong relationship with his sister, despite her efforts at bringing them closer. Dagegen5
Yewfoot | She-cat | 27 moons | Warrior Appearance: Yewfoot is a dusky gray she-cat with faint ticked tabby markings across her body. She has a very large and almost intimidating stature that she uses to her full extent and benefit. Her piercing amber eyes are better seen as a weapon more lethal than claws, as a single angered glance can turn blood to ice. She has a couple scars that grace the bridge of her nose and the tip of her right ear is missing after a scuffle with a rat.| Personality: She is a loud and boisterous individual and is not afraid to push her weight around when she sees necessary. This was her prime attribute in her apprenticeship, where her sharp tongue and headstrong spirit always clashed with her mentor and other clanmates; she has toned this portion of herself down immensely since becoming a warrior, but she is still fairly brash and bluntly honest when asked any sort of question. She can tend to be slightly nervous when it comes to new experiences and as such, is very much a perfectionist at heart. Her likes and dislikes can reflect this; she likes anything she can do very well and dislikes anything she isn't immediately good at. Likes: Combat, Hunting | Dislikes: Tending the Herb Garden | Kin: Coalstrike (Brother) Parents have since passed.| Backstory: As a younger kit and apprentice, she was definitely the bully of the bunch, using her size to get what she wanted. She didn't necessarily beat anyone up, as that wasn't really her MO, but there was a lot of teasing and name-calling that went down, even if she thought it was just being playful. Since becoming a warrior, she's taken her late father's advice to be more considerate of the cats around her and is sincerely trying her best to be a better clanmate. She feels awful about how she treated Coalstrike when they were younger and is trying to patch their relationship; Coalstrike is much less willing to do this, however. Dagegen5

(Man, sorry guys. I got busy right after I submitted that!) Coalstrike's ear flickered at the sound of Tawnystar's voice and his head swiveled. He was no longer interested in the bat he had picked out -- it was a good bat too -- and directed his full attention to his leader. He picked up his small frame and padded closer to the high ledge but careful to not leave his bat too far away. He sat erect, ears forward and his pale amber eyes glowed toward the leader and Yellowtail. He briefly wondered why the tom looked as excited as a kit during their apprenticeship, but he shrugged the judgment off. Yewfoot had been lazing around the camp for the day, having had nothing to do; oh StarClan was she bored. She passed a pebble back and forth between her large paws, and made a small glance over at Coalstrike. He was content where he was and she placed her chin on the ground. She was content too, she guessed. Tawnystar's yowl cleared her mind of doubts and she immediately picked herself up. She licked her chest quickly, flattening the fluffed up fur and moved toward the Highledge. She moved toward Riverstep and Robinclaw and dipped her head in greeting; she tried to lower herself slightly as to not tower over them. "I hope Tawnystar's going have something exciting for us; I'm bored out of my mind," She mewed, her whiskers twitching. (Coalstrike would be an insufferable deputy no one vote for his butt. )

(It would be interesting to write, I will say that!)
Yewfoot chuckled back at Riverstep, "It does look that way!" Yewfoot guessed as to what would transpire during this meeting; anyone could see how much time Yellowtail spent in the herb gardens. She respected him greatly for it, as she felt useless and clunky in those areas and could never really get it right. With the clan without a medicine cat, she expected that someone would have to step up and take the task and the obvious choice was Yellowtail, even if he wasn't quite as vocal about it.

Coalstrike's whiskers perked upwards and flitted lightly. He quickly joined into the cheers from the clan for the new medicine cat, grateful that CaveClan now had such an important role filled. He smirked slightly to himself; he didn't have to be exaustingly cautious on his cave-diving expeditions anymore for fear of injury.
Yewfoot had pulled herself up to her full sitting height and cheered for Yellowtail boisterously. It would be wonderful to have a medicine carry again.

Yewfoot drew her attention away from the leader to Riverstep's comment and concealed a small shot of anxiety that briefly overcame her. She hadn't even thought of not having a medicine cat for the queen to safely kit. She quickly distracted herself from the thought and waited for the ruckus from the clan to die down. She focused on the highledge, wondering if Tawnystar would dismiss them or continue.
Coalstrike shifted his paws and considered moving to grab the bat that he had left before the gathering began; he felt his stomach begin to growl uncomfortably.

Yewfoot hummed in agreement with Riverstep, and hunched over from her sitting position. "It was worrying; I'm happy that we have a cat who's so willing to take on this role. I'm useless when it comes to herbs so I couldn't even imagine such a task." She glanced over to the tom and blinked happily, "He looks absolutely thrilled to be medicine cat."
Coalstrike, upon his leader's dismissal, quickly returned to the bat he had left half eaten and consumed it fervently. His ears twitched lightly at his clanmates still congratulating the newly appointed medicine cat and he overheard the tom cry out about a visit to StarClan. He felt a rush of excitement run through his veins and he left his bat for the second time. He approached Yellowtail with a sparkle in his eye. "I can escort you to the StarPool," he exclaimed excitedly. He was dying to get out of camp.
