A mix sounds like fun. Alien races, fantasy-tech, and space travel, I'm assuming? Would you prefer to play to a singular plants, set of planets, or open map?

Yes, deities just being reduced to mortals sounds A+ to me.
Should we do canon deities? Or make up our own?
Cause I mean, canon deities have their backstories and stuff, but a lot of them are loose, and pretty much none of them have established personalities.

(X3 I'll never understand the people who say they've played DnD and don't like it. I mean... there's a table top for EVERYONE, most of them DnD-like)
Okay, so I'm thinking... lets do a set of three planets. We can each design one, and collaborate on the middle one? Said three planets are the only ones orbiting their star, and lets say their close proximity leaves them with little choice other than to stay peaceful. There are tensions with illegal smuggling, but that happens in every system. Each planet is unique in flora, fauna, and humanoids, though due to space travel, they're able to find a bit of everything in the right environment.

Sherk:
With the new 5e set up, we can pull from a pantheon or make customs. I've got players in a game worshiping 4e gods, 5e gods, and half the pantheon of Rome (Our bard keeps his options open) I'd say pick whatever you want :3 I'll probably end up making a custom.

Yea. The rules might through them off? Even though 5e is pretty light on rules.
There's a system that runs on 2d6 that's interesting. I dmed a game with that once. It was about bunny rabbits.

Alrighty, well....
Hm...
It would be interesting to explore some of the canon gods? Like I love Helm. My very first 5e character worshipped Helm. And I also love Istus? And the Raven Queen?
But a custom might be easier. If we both did customs, would they be counterparts? What would their previous relationship be?

Hmm.... It would be interesting to throw some counterparts together (because how cliche and satisfying is that noise?) I believe I'd be interested in a Deity of water and aquaan beasts. Ah an a suggestion: Should we have them appear as traditional playable races, or somewhat similar to their celestial bodies? Like with obvious differences? Like, falling under traditional races lets them blend in easier and if they try to claim holiness, they'll probably anger a paladin or two. With the other option, they'd totally end up as the two freaks in every tavern.

Tom: So let me know what you're thinking for your planet. For mine, I'm thinking fairly far from the sun, so longer days and nights (34hrs in the day cycle, maybe) with cooler temperatures. High water levels, so may places are boggy wetlands, swamps, or high and dry mountain/plateau. Maybe four moons at most, two inhabited with artificial colonies.

For mine, I was thinking more grassland, and medium from the sun. The creatures there would closely resemble humans, and the days would be about 20 hours a day. There would be one moon.

Ohh, both sound really fun?
It's hard to decide. Hmm...I think trying to prove+regain their god status would be an easier plot to keep moving in the long run? So playable races.
The idea of them being ostracized from their own churches is too good to pass up.
If you're going the water route, I might go another element? The obvious would be fire but land or air could be really fun and I'm a sucker for air elementals. It depends on the sorta relationship we want them to have? Fire+water deities might constantly be at odds because they literally can't exist with each other. They'd be forced together by circumstance. But water+air deities would probably be pretty chill with each other?

Alright, so for the collab planet, what do you think of something between the two (25-28 hrs a cycle) with numerous formations, manmade and natural? It would make sense for most travel business to pass through here, and having a trading hub on the planet would bring high monetary wealth.

I think Air/Water might be like quiet enemies. Just because one kinda kills the creatures of the other, you know? Like birds can't breath in water, and fish can't stay out of water (And the difference in pressure will crush any beings out of place). Also, the idea of them arguing over who gets to claim amphibians is... so precious. Like, the two don't extinguish each other, but collaboration isn't exactly easy. They've got common enemies to work against, but its not hard to get in each other's way.
