Yeah. I'm trying to think of other things that can be taken out of the rules and go into other sections. It depends on what all we're planning to keep. Some things should be common sense (such as the four no-no's of role-play) and what needs to be written out. I'm perfectly fine with editing the rules if issues arise and we need to have it stated.
I looked back and refreshed before I posted. I don't mind putting them in the second post on each page, but moving things to a different page wouldn't be a big issue if they are "one time" things such as prefix "rules" or the Clan systems. I see it as the same as having herbs, illnesses, and etc. moved to one place where people will know it's there. What I want to cut out would probably be mentioned on another page, so why not move it to one page? I know we kinda have the systems from before, and honestly I want to move secondary leaders there because I think it's better suited there, and I think having that section benefits us a lot because it cut down on one or two rule sections. Yeah, you do have to click away to check, but the basic rules will be on the thread you're on. If someone is mobile, we'll see and we can help out by posting what they need or simply informing them.

I'm good about writing rules. Give me a brief first draft and your ideas behind them, and I could type some up, and you could revise them to see if they're good.

Okay, one second. Should we just have a quick italicized text to read the info and be aware that the staff have the right to change rules if need be instead of having a whole section for that? We can move the thing about what the person needs to be able to do under a rule section called "Member Requirements" which is kinda more fitting. Activity can also be put there. Then we can have a Joining section for what we don't want and then the consequences thing.

General Rules ● Read this stuff, man. ● We have Clan Systems, check him because one goes on about how your cat may die or something. Also, we can change the rules if people cause havoc.
Member Requirements ● We want quality over quantity. Be sure you can confidently reply in appropriate lengths with detail and are capable of creating and pulling off intricate plots and events with proper timing. ● Activity requirements for new members, regular members, & staff
Joining ● Use the form we give you, fool. ● LBGTQ+ characters are welcomed here. ● Feel free to make relations with other members' characters if they permit however don't make your own cats mates. ● Be as accurate with cat genetics as possible and try to be realistic. If they can't provide evidence, they need to change it. ● The character must have a purpose over finding love and having kits. If that is your goal for them, do not make them.
▪ Moved to Clan Systems: Outsiders & how they will be restricted. How mothers and kits will work.
Consequences (I put exact thing here.) ● If a member violates a rule for the first time, they will be issued a warning. Two warnings will equal a star. A star is not something you want to receive here, as you may only have five stars before being deleted from the role-play. You may rejoin once and will automatically start on the second star. Now, when a member gets to the second star, they cannot not "attend" the Gathering and their characters must remain in camp for two days. For the third star, their apprentices could have an additional training session added on before they become a warrior. If they do not have an apprentice but have a warrior acting as a mentor, their apprentice will be assigned a new mentor for a week and that cat will be sick or under punishment for something. If the member happens to have both, admin may decide on which approach to take. When a fourth star is issued, it will result in previous punishments from before and a week's suspension from that Clan. Now, if they have joined two Clans, the two admins can discuss if this will impact both Clans or just the one. If they show a better attitude in the other Clan, it will only be in the Clan they're not doing so well with. Finally, the fifth star will result in deletion. If a member does rejoin after being deleted once, they cannot have any special plots, positions, or even apprentices until two weeks in. If the member continues to improve beyond those two weeks, then the admins can discuss the possibility of cleaning their slate.

I apologize for not being on yesterday. I had a really bad episode. I'm better now and ready to work.
Fae, I'd love to hear what side plots you have in mind!
I don't exactly know who will lead a Clan, except for one person. I'm going to give Owl WindClan because it's usually the hardest one to find a leader for and she's the only one that has expressed interest in leading it. While the other Clans, there may be some conflict, I think? I haven't seen one person apply yet and she expressed interest in RiverClan.
Feathz suggested we work on rules, first. Which will be swift and easy considering a majority of us have worked together. I think the rules should be split up regarding certain sections. Some basic things about mentors, apprentices, and etc. could be placed in a different section where it won't clutter rules, but it will be in stone. The Clan Systems, is what I'm talking about. It includes info about how we'll do apprentices and such. I also think that anything regarding names can be put in the prefix list section. That cuts down on joining a little bit. As for general rules, we can also cut that down. I saw a thread in OTD and December had actually posted on it. I honestly agree with the post and I will quote it below. Okay, big mood. To me, advanced should mean, like, "Knows how to create deep, well-developed characters with nuances and realistic quirks. Shows a willingness to contribute to the overarching plot of the roleplay and to create mini plots with other characters; can plan their characters' actions rather than doing things spur of the moment. Has a decent grasp on realistic dialogue. Knows basic RP courtesy and does not need reminding not to spotlight or godmod or whatever. Understands basic writing conventions." Now, I'm not trying to "re-brand" how the role-play sections considered advanced, but those with advanced in the title do seem to focus more on the length overall. While I don't want one liners, I don't think people should be focusing on meeting a certain requirement. If someone can only type one liners, then they may not be capable to create intricate plots and interesting characters. I think that we should make the "general rules" section a friendly warning that if you are not confident with creating plots that alternate with limelight and take appropriate time and planning as well as have the decency to properly respond with appropriate details and length, then this role-play isn't for you. We should also warn them that we have little generators that may have their cat injured or die because no one kills their cats anymore. They're like the Erins. Either it's eradication or it's one or two with sweet little moments. No worries about not being on! I understand completely. I'm sorry you were having a bad time, though, and I'm here if you ever wanna talk. Anyway, I agree with everything completely! I like the little death/injury generators a lot. I used to consider implementing those on old (old old old) roleplays, and in retrospect, I kind of wish I had. It's important to keep things realistic instead of just letting people protect their fifteen characters from so much as a cough.

The purpose of this section is to allow potential members to understand how the Clans will operate in different situations as well as general things that we feel do not fit anywhere else. It is highly advised everyone reads this section, as it will be referred to often. Mentors, Patrols, & Deputies This section may be a bit bigger than expected, but all of it is related to one another and therefore it makes the most sense to combine them. When a member joins with a warrior, they may be given an apprentice. However, we will not give warriors under eighteen moons an apprentice unless there are no other options or they prove to be mature and show leadership capabilities a few days into the role-play. This does not mean you need to make your character this way, as they may get an apprentice eventually. Keep in mind some warriors may never mentor an apprentice, as either they are incapable or there are better options. Warriors that are about fifty-six moons or older will be assumed to have gained an apprentice if they have displayed leadership qualities. This allows us to spread out apprentices and have some kind of history already going in the role-play. Apprentices must complete certain requirements. The requirements are not meant to be an obstacle, but are chances to develop a character and just have general fun. For apprentices aiming to become warriors, they must have two battle training sessions and two hunting training sessions. They must also complete two assessments, a battle, and visit the Moonstone/pool. For apprentices eleven moons or older, they must complete one battle training session and one hunting training sessions. They will have one assessment, their warrior assessment, and a battle. The battle can be anything from a fox attack, to a border skirmish, or an organized battle. The cat must fight an enemy, however, they are not required to win. The admins of this role-play are willing to work with everyone on this and allow plenty of activity to go on for everyone to meet these requirements. Regarding medicine cat apprentices, they must complete two sessions of battle training, two sessions of hunting training, one session of medical training, and one session of spiritual training. While medicine cats are indeed the healers and shaman of the Clan, they have been shown to fight in the books on several occasions. We find it necessary for them to do this because it not only makes sense out of the role-play, but in the role-play as well. Considering medicine cat training can take a few moons longer and there will be several instances where a medicine cat apprentice can learn about healing, we feel that the requirements are necessary. It is important to mention the relationship between mentors and apprentices as well as the behavior of both cats. Neglect to train an apprentice will not remain a secret. Whether this stems from the mentor's owner being inactive or the mentor appearing to have better things to do. By gaining an apprentice for your character, you gain the chance of potentially being deputy. However, if you abuse this privilege by not doing what is expected, you will easily lose those privileges and lose those chances. Now, for members who own apprentices, be wise of how you make your apprentice act. Disobedience is alright in doses, but if the apprentice completely disregards orders from their mentor, then the mentor may be punished in the role-play. This does not mean the member who owns the mentor is in trouble, but because the apprentice and warrior combination seems to not be appropriate, a new combination will be assigned. When it comes to patrols, the deputy will arrange them for the week on Saturdays. They will be placed in the "News" section of the page. This is so members are not attempting to gather cats last minute and gives everyone the opportunity to role-play something other than being in camp and looking for a partner. Mentors and their apprentices will most likely be assigned to the same patrol. If a member is absent that day, the patrol is merely supposed to act as if the cat is present, but will not have any control over their character. Considering time will be an important factor, it would be best to watch the admins or head moderator change the time so you known when to "leave" for your patrol. Deputies will follow tradition as it does in the books. While this may be a bit that can fit in the rules, we feel it is more appropriate to follow suit here. Deputies will be chosen from trusted members in the starting stages of the role-play. When we feel more comfortable, we will then allow newer members to have a chance for their cat to be deputy. However, it should be made clear that any attempt to create the "perfect" deputy will thwart your hopes of achieving such a thing. This does include the persistent and aggravating mentions or hints of your character wanting to be deputy. While a mention once in a while is alright, bringing it up on every page will harm your chances. In fact, narrative speaking, it shows that your character has an unhealthy obsession with the role and will certainly bring some awareness from fellow Clanmates, harming the cat's reputation itself. When age comes to mind, the youngest that a deputy may possibly be will most likely be around thirty-six moons. Considering the cats can live well past one hundred moons, we feel that this is an acceptable age. To ensure that the role-play and the overall narrative remains clean and smooth, a procedure has been created to combat any narrative issues. Whether it be someone leaving or someone being demoted, the issue of their characters' stories and the relationships with the other cats will be handled by the staff of that Clan. Every situation is different, however we do offer the basics. For someone who has simply left, whether be announced or unannounced, filler characters can be created depending on the original character's standing in the Clan. If the cat had a mate or kits, we will create a character that can genetically match the kin, but will act slightly different. In the times where a character can die due to war, famine, or disease, they will be deemed injured or ill if the person has a chance of coming back. If not, then the cats will be killed off. The person will need to create new cats, and while it is tedious, it is certainly better than everyone making their cats act as if the person's characters never existed. We are sure this will probably anger people, but if you are not alright with this happening to you, then we kindly suggest you not join. If the cat was in a high position, they will simply be killed off. For someone who leaves without informing us and they have a high rank, it is quite rude and enough to strip them of that privilege. In this role-play, we will be using a system called "chance charts." The concept is simple, we have arranged charts to display the chances of something happening to a character in different situations. Everyone will have a character impacted by these charts in some way, and there will be no exceptions in normal circumstances. The only exceptions would be a character needing to be kept alive for a plot or something similar. Nevertheless, it will be a rare occurrence. We will be using a virtual dice roll and a virtual coin flip. Admins will screenshot the results and hold then for two days, then are free to delete them. Time and date must be shown on these screenshots. Below are the charts, please take some time to read them. Illnesses Below are the chances for a character to get sick from an outbreak or a seasonal outbreak. For an abnormal outbreak, all cats will be considered and a coin will be flipped for each individual to determine if they catch it or not. For a seasonal outbreak, only half of the Clan will go through this process. From that point, a dice is rolled to determine the severity of illness for each individual. There are six stages. Kit and elders will have two dice rolled as they have double the chance to catch it. The dice and coin will be flipped twice for them. Once the decision is made, it will be role-played out. Admins will have their secondary leader throw the dice or flip the coin to avoid any cheating. ➥ The first stage is a cough and slight symptoms. They can be easily cured before the next Gathering. ➥ The second stage is mild symptoms where they may take longer than two weeks real time to recover. They also become slightly contagious and are restricted from hunting patrols to prevent the illness spreading via prey. ➥ The third stage with full blown whitecough symptoms. Cats are restricted to camp, but may help with small tasks like rebuilding the camp walls. ➥ The fourth stage where the cat begins to show signs of greencough. They are restricted from assisting with tasks near the nursery and elders den. ➥ The fifth stage where greencough is confirmed. They are confined to the medicine cat's den and must rest. Symptoms are mild to severe. ➥ The sixth and final stage where the cat dies from greencough. Wounds Battles can be bloody and take many lives, however they can also be quick, simple, and result to little or no injuries. While any cat can die at any time during a battle, we have decided to make it less likely for death for small battles. Therefore, battles over borders or small strips of territory like Sunningrocks will only go to stage four unless there is a consistent conflict between the two Clans like war. However, battles near the gorge or thunderpath will have a special coin flip to determine if they will meet the terms of a small battle or large battle due to the danger of the location. To prevent a Clan losing more warriors than necessary, the death toll for a Clan will be five in big battles in three in small battles. A small battle patrol must consist of seven cats while a big patrol must consist of eleven. ➥ The first stage where the cat only suffers minor scratches. If anything, fur will be ripped out. Ears may be torn as well. ➥ The second stage where the cat only suffers a few minor gashes and blood is visible. They do require some medical treatment. ➥ The third stage where the cat suffers from larger and worse gashes. They are not at risk of death, but infection can easily set in if not treated quickly. ➥ The fourth stage where the cat suffers complete bodily injuries and needs assistance for traveling back to camp. They may risk death by blood loss if they prolong treatment. ➥ The fifth stage in which the cat may suffer from a major injury like blinding, broken bones, and other major injuries in addition to major gashes in which blood loss is an issue. They must be immediately sent back to camp or face death. ➥ The sixth stage in which the wounds are far too much and the cat dies. They do not have to suffer a broken bone or a wound similar, but they have either not made it in time for treatment, lost too much blood, or suffered a severe blow on the scene of the battle. Litter Sizes In the case of a real matter, she-cats normally can birth up to nine kittens. However, we will keep to the average, so the maximum amount of kits a queen can have is six. Genders and descriptions will be up to owners of the parents, but the size will be determined here. A mutation, defect, and mortality generator will also be up to the parents, but please keep them in moderation and have an accurate portrayal. There is truly no need in thoroughly explaining as it is pretty self-explanatory. The admin will flip a coin and if the coin lands on heads, the litter will be bigger than three. If the coin lands on tails, the litter will be smaller. The admin will then throw a dice to determine how many. Keep in mind that if the coin hit tails, the number can not be higher than three and if the coin landed on heads, the litter can not be bigger than six. The owners of the parents reserve the right to have one kit if they wish, but if they want more than one, they will need to go through this process. The maximum litters a she-cat can have is three.

General Rules
- Know that the rules listed below are not meant to hinder or annoy you, but to save you and other members from future frustrations. With that in mind, do not skip the rules. Read them, and be sure that you understand them before proceeding. Understand that we, the admins of this role-play, can change the rules in accordance to what is needed. If you have any questions regarding these rules, do not be afraid to come forward with your inquiries.
- We have what are known as 'Clan Systems' here. These guidelines play an integral part regarding how this role-play functions and proceeds, so be sure to read through them.
Member Requirements
- In this role-play, quality is valued over quantity. If you are considering joining, we simply ask that you be sure of your ability to reply with appropriate response lengths, detail, and are capable of creating and pulling off intricate plots, all while maintaining proper timing and grammar.
- While staff members within this role-play are required to be active for at least six days a week, regular members without high positions are required to be active for at least four days a week. Remember that out of character chat does not count towards your activity, and that the staff here will be keeping a close eye on your status and level of activity. Every two weeks there will be an activity check, and inactive members will be dealt with in accordance to breaking this rule. If you cannot remain a member of this role-play, please notify the staff so that we may remove you, and free up characters. If you require a hiatus, you will not receive any negative consequences because of your inactivity.
Joining
- Do not manipulate the joining form provided here in any way, either by personalizing it to your own preference, or by simply disregarding the coding altogether. If you do not understand the coding or are encountering issues regarding it, please voice this concerns, as we will gladly help you understand and fix the problem.
- LBGTQ+ characters are all welcomed here.
- Feel free to create relations between your characters and those of other members here. Do not, however, proceed to do this if you do not have the explicit permission of the opposing character's creator. Along with this, we also ask that you refrain from attempting to join with your own character's romantic interest.
- When creating your character, make sure that their design falls in line with that of actual genetics. Do not exceed what is believably possible in the make-up of a cat. If you cannot provide evidence to support your character's design, then you will be required to change it.
- As this is not a strictly romance-oriented role-play, the characters that you join with are required to have an alternative purpose aside from finding a mate, falling in love, and having kits. If this is your motivation for joining this role-play, then we advise that you find a different, more suitable role-play to support your goals.
Consequences
- If a member violates or breaks a rule for the first time, they will be issued a warning. Two warnings will equal a star. A star is not something that you want to receive here, as you may only have five stars before being deleted from the role-play. You may rejoin once and will automatically start on the second star. Now, when a member gets to the second star, they cannot "attend" the gathering and their characters must remain in camp for the next two days. For the third star, their apprentices may have an additional training session added on before they become a warrior. If they do not have an apprentice but have a warrior acting as a mentor, that warrior's apprentice will be assigned a new mentor for a week, and their character may become sick or receive punishment. If the member happens to have both an apprentice and an acting mentor, the admin may decide on which approach to then take. When a fourth star is issued, it will result in a repeat of previous punishments, and a week's suspension from the clan. Now, if the member has joined two clans, the two residing admins will then discuss if this will affect both clans or just the one. If they show a better attitude in the other clan, your punishment it will only proceed in the clan they're not doing as well in. Finally, the fifth star will result in deletion. If a member rejoins after being deleted once, they cannot have any special plots, positions, or even apprentices until two weeks in. If the member continues to improve beyond those two weeks, then the admins can discuss the possibility of cleaning their slate.
