I'm laughing so much, awww that was so great Moth!
I love how you're bringing more of Silverstream's personality to light. I always knew she had a stubborn but playful streak as a character, one that wants to be more independent, and follows her own rules.
I also love that bit near the end, with Ravenwing and Barley, also Fireheart calling Gray a traitor, haha. And the subtle reference to Fire x Sand, 10/10 good stuff.

I also love that bit near the end, with Ravenwing and Barley, also Fireheart calling Gray a traitor, haha. And the subtle reference to Fire x Sand, 10/10 good stuff. Haha, thanks! I especially had alot of fun writing Fireheart. Speaking of which, notice how Fireheart is a little more proud and probably even a little arrogant in this. I plan to have him be like this due to not only having had three mentors during his apprenticeship and saving Frostfur's kits, but he also makes the connection between him and the fire prophecy pretty early on (or so he thinks, anyway). This would of course cause him to clash with Sandstorm and Dustpelt even more than in canon (the Clan would also be aware of the prophecy by the time Rusty joins ThunderClan). He grows out of it as the story progresses. As for Ravenwing, you can probably tell I'll be making Barley x Raven canon in this (or at least more obvious than it was in canon). Since Redtail will live longer, Ravenpaw would have earned his warrior name alongside Firepaw and Graypaw and even becomes a little braver after helping rescue Frostfur's kits. It's only after the battle with BloodClan/right before the Clans leave does he decide to stay behind to be with Barley. For now though, Ravenwing tries to become the voice of reason within the group. Oh, and something I'd like to mention is that Sandstorm and Silverstream already know each other by this point and became friends after a Gathering, and that's how Firepaw met her as well. Their personalities kind of rubbed off on each other after that and being spoiled by their high ranking parents doesn't help.

Ahhh, so it's like Needletail. Neat! This is a great start - better than anything I could write!! Thanks. What's funny is that I wasn't even thinking of Needletail when I wrote this.

Okay, so I'm still trying to figure out a warrior name for Tadpole.
I settled on Stormstrike (after Stormfur), Nightwing, and Littlestep for Stormfur and Squirrelflight's kits, with Stormstrike being the only tom.
Silvermist (after Silverstream and Mistyfoot) will be the name for Brambleclaw and Feathertail's daughter, as well as their only kit.
Also, I wasn't kidding when I said that Hawkfrost might actually be renamed Hawkwing after joining SkyClan. To fit in correctly with the timeline (unlike in HJ), Sharpclaw and Cherrytail's kits will also be closer in age to Leafpool's and Squirrelflight's kits, and Duskpaw will be an actual character.
Speaking of SkyClan, I was thinking that the Clans could have knowledge of SkyClan, but their existence is treated as a myth, similar to LionClan, TigerClan, and LeopardClan. Their story is treated as a cautionary tale of what happens when Clans don't work together to help one another.

I think that the clans treating SkyClan as a myth makes more sense then the canon current thoughts on it tbh. Where apparently no cat remembers, like???
Also great names btw.
For Tadpole, what about Blackstream?

For Tadpole, what about Blackstream? Thanks. Hmm... maybe. And I decided to make Whiteclaw the foster father of Leopardstar's kits. I'm thinking of having her reveal the truth after Mothwing's death since there would've been questioning on Mothwing's motivations (though some characters would already be aware by this point). Hawkfrost would've told them that Mothwing likely wanted to avenge Tigerstar, which causes most cats to become confused until Leopardstar tells them the truth and decides to step down as leader afterwards. And if BloodClan will apparently be the main antagonists for the first half of TNP (along with the destruction of the forest), then what about the second half? Mothwing won't be revealed as an antagonist until PoT. Maybe a group of cats who may or may not be descended from one or both of the three Tribes that Rock mentioned in SotC? As for Mudclaw's rebellion, I plan on having Mudclaw succeed Tallstar, so it's likely a rebellion won't happen or Onewhisker is still appointed as the next leader with Mudclaw and Barkface present. Or the rebellion could still happen and Mudclaw becomes leader of WindClan anyway, or Barkface actually speaks to StarClan about it before any conflict can occur.

Tadtail poletail okay maybe not pole anything actually ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ Pole definitely wouldn't work. Tad means a small child/amount or somewhat, but it doesn't seem to work either.

Since I don't plan on having Graystripe be deputy so soon (I'm not even sure if Whitestorm will be deputy at all), I decided that Firestar's deputy instead of Graystripe will be Mousefur.
Also, Longtail either won't go blind or learn to adapt to his environment as a blind warrior.

Also, Longtail either won't go blind or learn to adapt to his environment as a blind warrior. If you're going for a blind warrior, Longtail would be a good choice over Jayfeather. And with Mousefur as deputy it would be even better, because I can see her definitely helping him out along the way. I really did like their friendship, it was nice. Also down the road it would be helpful to Jayfeather even, Longtail being his mentor, even temporarily would probably be a better choice than Brightheart. Speaking of Brightheart, she'll need an apprentice too? Also will you have Whitestorm die a more noble death, instead of having too much emphasis on his old age? Or the other way around, and use him as the age range for what can be considered old? The Erins have seem to extend that point a lot in the current characters, back then Whitestorm was considered old, but now we have cats 3x his age, which I find ridiculous, still living...

Or the rebellion could still happen and Mudclaw becomes leader of WindClan anyway, or Barkface actually speaks to StarClan about it before any conflict can occur. I was thinking, that for the second half of TNP you can always go back to WindClan, and do the rebellion between One and Mud, but Mud wins, and One is either exiled, or killed. If he's exiled he could always show back up later with Smoke, and his kits? On the other hand later on you also have the badgers as an option, the ones that attacked TC camp and killed a few cats. Its good to add in other type of reasoning, as a writer, to keep the character numbers under control, using character death, and good causes, something the Erins failed at. So the badgers are a good idea to cut some numbers at that point, since they are quite formidable, and one of the most notable deaths is Cinderpelt's. I think the best way to keep this organized is by charting it some how. So there's 6 books each series right? Each one has a blurb and main focus, some times two books, or even three can have the same main focus. But there's also an overall focus for each series. For example in the first series, overall, it was Firestar's journey to become leader, but the other sub focuses were Brokenstar, rescuing WindClan, defeating Tigerstar, BloodClan, etc. Almost each book had a diff focus. In the current series, AVoS, the main focus is helping SkyClan, but there's a lot of sub plots, Darktail actually takes up three books, then there's other ones like Violetpaw and Twigpaw, and even Needletail, etc. With that being said, if we did the first series, for the canon version it'd be this: Into the Wild: Rusty joining >> Brokenstar taking over WC Fire and Ice: Fire and Gray bringing WC back >> Gray having a relationship with Silver Forest of Secrets: Fire digging into Redtail's death >> Nightstar declaring war on TC >> Tiger's plan is revealed >> Broken's death >> Silver's death (This would be the mid-series climax) Rising Storm: Cloudtail joins TC >> Fire in TC camp >> Nightstar's death >> Tigerstar becoming new SC leader A dangerous Path: Dogs run lose and kill cats >> Gray exiled from RC >> Bluestar kits revealed >> Bluestar's death The Darkest Hour: (This is the climaxing book) Tiger forms TigerClan >> Stonefur's death >> BloodClan reveal >> Scourge kills Tigerstar >> Final battle against LionClan and BloodClan To me this is what messed up the climax for the final book, suddenly replacing the antagonist at the last minute, with a new one we barely knew anything about, destroying the build up. Now for the new version we simply fill in blanks: Into the Wild: Rusty joins TC Fire and Ice: Fire, Gray, Raven and Silver bring back WC Forest of Secrets: Rising Storm: A dangerous Path: The Darkest Hour: Final battle with Tiger vs Fire I thought of something interesting too, ya know how the prologue of TDH is Tiger talking to Scourge, but we don't know it's him yet. What if Scourge turns down his offer, but because he came to him in the first place, it peeked his interest. Because the cat that Tiger mentions sounds closely to "Rusty". And this leads to him going into the forest in the next series. And instead of Tiger talking to Scourge, it's probably better its a different cat, like a messenger, Darkstripe maybe?

Yeah, that's exactly why I was considering just making Longtail into a blind warrior. As for Brightheart, I'm not even sure if she'll be getting an apprentice. No matter how hard I try, even for this AU, I just can't imagine her as a mentor, but that might change when I get there. For Whitestorm, I was thinking of doing bothโhe'll die a noble death, but his age will be approximately when a cat is considered old, or at least close to it. I still kind of want Onewhisker to be around throughout the series, but if I do include the badger attack, there will definitely be more casualties than just Cinderpelt and Sootfur. The idea for the prologue sounds great. As for the books, that's exactly what I plan to do with themโa main focus and a sub focus.

I feel like Rainwhisker should have also died in the badger battle, better than an off screen death that he got instead, that or some other cat, and you develop Rainwhisker more.

I actually do have something for Rainwhisker is mind, and that would be to have him be in a relationship with Swallowtail in the background, or just have it be its own thing separate from this AU. Either way, I do plan on giving each background character their own distinct personality as much as I can.

Actually, a small suggestion. You could always give BG characters their own POV chapters, so readers get a better look at their personality and development. The Erins sorta did this, which was interesting, with Flametail, for a chapter, same with Stormfur and Feathertail, so we got to see how certain things worked in certain places, their thoughts, and other stuff. I thought it was great, but they never seem to do it anymore. So many a single POV EXTRA chapter for certain BG characters would be pretty great. Like for example, Redtail as deputy, his thoughts on Tigerclaw and Bluestar, and other things. Or learning more about Whitestorm and Lionheart's day to day routines and interesting, etc. You can also use it for filling in blanks, say a patrol, with one of the MC, find Mousewhisker wondering around by himself, and he says he was hunting has prey and everything. The reader wouldn't think much of it, but later down the road we get a chapter on Mouswhisker, meeting with Minnowtail in secret, from his perspective. Once he leaves her he hunts and brings food then following that with him running into the patrol would link it to canon. It's similar to the novella and manga, but much more easier to handle and understand. I mean I'm sure a lot of characters would need novella's to fill in blanks, but a POV chapter is better to retain. Cats like Goldenflower, Gorsepaw, Nightstar, Silverstream, Sharpclaw, etc, could definitely use these.

That's actually what I was planning to do. If not within the main story itself, then I'll have it be a short story like in the field guides, or a bonus scene like DotC or AVoS have done after the main storyline as a bonus.

i've been having so much fun reading through this thread ^^ i do admit, my warriors knowledge is rusty- i haven't reread anything in years, and my latest book was the sun trail (although i do know the basics of that arc- not the vision of shadows arc, though, so i don't understand anything regarding that lol), so i'm a bit thrown off by some things thrown around- but it's been great.
all the ideas make me so excited! i think my favorite is what's been done with hawk & moth- flipping them around and having moth be evil, a sort of tlk thing going on o;
btw, i forget if i've seen anything about this on the thread, sorry if i've just skimmed over and haven't seen it- is there anything planned with the dogs in the first arc? it didn't feel like the most effective way to handle that part of the arc unless i'm completely forgetting what happened in a dangerous path, but swiftpaw could die some other way as well as bright's injuries. aaaaaa i'm too tired for life

Will there be medicine warriors? If so awesome.
Also will Cinderpelt still be a medicine cat or fulfill her destiny as a warrior? Still kinda want her to be a deputy.
Also please let Feathertail live...I feel like the only reason they killed her was to stir up the same drama Silverstream delivered and to not have to write about ending a relationship between her and Crowfeather.
Also if you leave Silverstream alive and still had Millie be Graystripe's second mate...you could have her die giving birth to the 3Bs. That's a suggestion.
Will Sunstar have any kin?

Feathertail will definitely still live. As for Millie, I actually plan on giving her another mate entirely. Maybe Thornclaw? And yes, I do plan for Sunstar to have more kin.
