≈ FinchClan ≈The Clever and Graceful
≈ ≈ ≈IntroYou sit at the edge of the riverbank, staring at the frogs that hop from rock to rock, and the fish that dart back and forth. A slight breeze rustles the cattails down near the bank and birds begin to sing overhead. You’ve been wandering for days now, in search of a place to possibly call home. ‘Perhaps I could stay here awhile’ you think to yourself as you pad to the edge of the river. Out of the corner of your eye, you see a small fish slowly swim by and stop in place. ‘Easy’ you think as you crouch down and creep closer to the unsuspecting fish. As you raise your paw to strike, you hear a rustling in the reeds behind you. Before you can turn around to see what the sound was a large body barrel's into the side of you, pinning you down.
“Who do you think you are hunting on FinchClan territory?” the large figure hisses.
“I- was… I just…” you begin to stammer trying to gather your thoughts. “What’s a clan?” you finally mew. The large cat eases up slightly when you ask what a clan is.
“Don’t know what a clan is?” the white tom meows back and gets off of you. “A clan is like a large family. We live together and work together in order to survive. We hunt in our territory and fight any intruders off to keep the clan safe.”
The idea of a clan begins to appeal to you more and more as the cat goes on. “I’m ~~star, leader of FinchClan,” he meows. “You seem to have some natural ability when it comes to fishing. Would you like to join us?”
≈ ≈ ≈TerritoryCamp - WIP
Lizard Rock - A large, weather worn rock that many lizards make their home. Good spot for hunting. Located northwest of camp.
Marshlands - Located in the most northern section of FinchClan territory, the marshlands are a swampy, waterlogged section of territory. During Greenleaf, it can get exceptionally humid and uncomfortable. Because of the constant water and warm temperature though, many herbs grow well here. No cat is advised to go here alone for fear of succumbing to the waters and thick muds.
Half Bridge - An old tattered bridge that is rarely ever used by Two-legs. It suddenly cuts off just before the water starts to get deep. A good fishing spot.
Swimming Pond - A small, shallow pond where apprentices can be taught to swim. Located west of camp.
Twin Trees - Two large birch trees growing directly next to each other. The tallest trees in FinchClan territory. Located north of camp.
Hollow Trunks - Three large tree trunks that have fallen over and completely hollowed out. Many herbs and moss now grow within them. Prey is abundant here too. Located south of camp.
Thunderpath - The large, long path that monsters stay on. Creates the border between FinchClan and the Two-Leg place and junkyard.
Tunnel - a small, narrow underground tunnel that allows easy passage between the Two-Leg place and FinchClan territory.
Two-Leg Path - A long, narrow, dirt and gravel path that divides RobinClan and FinchClan territory. The path also leads to the old broken bridge that allows access to the island.

Battle MovesBack Kick - Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully, then lash out with your back legs, taking all weight on your front paws.
Belly Rake - A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws against the soft flesh of the opponent's belly. If you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back into control.
Front Paw Blow - Frontal attack. Bring your front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.
Front Paw Strike/Forepaw Slash - Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the face or body of your opponent.
Killing Bite - A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
Leap-and-hold - Ideal for a small cat facing a larger opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of the opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop-and-roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.
Partner Fighting - Warriors who have trained and fought together will often fall instinctively into a defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending off an opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Play Dead - Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes their grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and put you in attacking position.
Scruff Shake - Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponents neck; then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, who are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
Tail Yank - Grab your opponent's tail and yank it with such force your opponent is thrown off balance.
Teeth Grip - Target your opponent's extremities- the legs, tail, scruff or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your claws remain free to fight.
Upright Lock - Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it takes great strength and speed.
Half-Turn Belly Rake - Turn onto your side, slip under the opponent's belly, rake it with your claws, then swiftly turn back onto all fours out from under your opponent.
Badger Defense: Leap over opponent, turn on your back legs and bite opponent's leg. Used only when fighting badgers.
Duck and Twist: Simple defensive move. The cat ducks then twists around, rolling over onto their back, and then springs to their paws.
