Yep! That would be the same book series, I believe. Witch falls in love with a vampire? I hope they are happy, Dingo. I hope they are happy. *pats*
What would you like for the holidays? You are welcome to choose a medium for any gift? *rubs hands together*
Gods of Requiem? Was ist das? (German translation note: What is that?)
Yes! Please come join me! What have you been reading lately, if anything?

It’s certainly looking that way! So do I, Mint. So do I.
‘God’s of Requiem’ is a project I will we working on at some point in the future. It’s about some gay witches, their highly intelligent bisexual friend, a cat, a puzzle box and some urban gods.
The last book I read was “Six of Crows” by Leigh Bardugo. It was absolutely fantastic. I need to get my hands on the sequel. Before that, it was the latest Lee Child thriller, and before that it was a Nora Roberts thriller. Next up on my list is a thriller called ‘The Cutting Season’ I borrowed from my grandfather, and then I’ll probably tackle ‘The Name of the Wind’. My mum’s got a copy, somewhere.
I have so many books I can recommend, if you need more reading material.

And OH holidays! Well, I love banners/fanart/mood boards/playlists, so I’d really be delighted with absolutely anything!
Gotta start thinking about my own gifts. Hmmm...

Some that you create or ones that already exist or ...? Pfft. I'm always up for book recommendations. I really need to try out Six of Crows. Haven't gotten to it yet, however. Which is pretty sad. But I need to read the Raven Boys first, I think, I think, I think.

Some gods I made up, although they’re inspired by some of my favourite urban legends!
Now my brain is like “you should write a story about a werewolf” and then suddenly whoops, more OC’s
YES, MINT, YES, read The Raven Cycle! It is utterly fantastic. Maggie Stiefvater is one of my all-time favourite authors. But yes. The Raven Cycle. All the time yes.

Oh? Which urban legends? Do I get to ask? Do I get to know?
Iiiiiiiiii relate. Every time I make a new OC, however, I end up wanting to use them in an actual book.
My friend RPs Noah, so it's been waiting in the wings for me to read it for ages. XD

So far, I’ve got the Wendigo, the ‘woman in white’ myth (every country has one, I swear, and I grew up super close to the road said to be haunted by ours) and the legend of the black dogs of the moorland. That one is super interesting, so I do recommend googling it if you’re interested.
Yep. There’s a new story now. About a young thief named Laika (yes, after the first living thing in space), a broody werewolf without a pack named Dakken and a lady with a collection of antique guns - Elizabeth, but she prefers Eli. She has definitely bought Dakken dog shampoo before and she’ll stop making dog jokes when they stop being funny.
Noah must be protected at all costs. So must Adam. They’re good, soft boys.

Heeello! I'm back! Those characters sound great! I need to rewrite my werewolf story here soon. That honestly just gave me a really large motivation boost. But I have to finish Poisoning the Sea and The Sound Between first. ^^ I really like Noah, just from the RP.

HELLO THERE, MINT!
Sorry for the late reply! I’ve been super busy doing some collab work, which will appear on the forums very, very soon...
Also my work shift was unexpectedly cancelled, so cue impromptu road trip with my cousin and his retro camera gear. .

I've missed a few updates, but I wanted to drop in and say I just love with what you've done so far! The last two chapters that I had missed were just... amazing... Thank you so much for writing them!!
Are we allowed to list songs that remind us of Return to Dust???

Hey there! Good to hear from you!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the last two chapters! The last one in particular was a pain to write - it took me so long, so it’s always refreshing to hear how much people liked it.
And ABSOLUTELY! I’d love to see what songs remind you of the story!

Phew, alright then! I didn't want to project anything or intrude by tossing stuff at you xD
The song is 'Black Eyes' by Radical Face! It was actually listening to this song that managed to remind me of your fanfic... and the fact that this forum still existed, to be honest! ^^;

Collab things? ooooooo! Looking forward to it! Well, it was technically a collab XD
I illustrated the cover for ‘The Wanderer’! It was a super fun project, and I love working with Shadow on stuff like this.

The lyrics are just spot on.
It made me realise I need more Radical Face in my life
And you know what? Being told ‘I heard this and thought of that thing you write’ really made my day :’D

Hmmm. Haven’t even started the next chapter yet. Probably won’t until after Christmas... which means I will have approximately 13 days to smash out the chapter before circumstances mean a two-ish month hiatus.
Nothing like starting the new year off with a deadline.

Gotta love Radical Face.
I’m also incredibly excited because Of Monsters and Men is working on a new album, which means they’ll tour once it’s done, and it’s entirely possible I’d physically fight someone for a ticket to one of their shows.

I'd give you a ticket if I had one. XD You wouldn't have to fight me, you'd just have to promise to continue fan girling.

Fangirling I can do XD
I’m also entirely capable of temporarily hyperfixiating on things... which kind of freaks my brother out. Even more so than fangirling

Yeeeeeeeeeeees! I want fun facts!
Holiday plans? My family's church has me lighting candles for the service but this is about it, other then seeing Christmas lights.

Fun facts it is! I shall assemble all the trivial bits of knowledge and consolidate them into a master post of uselessness.
Oh, that sounds lovely! Hope you had a great Christmas.

It’s coming! Currently juggling all the uselessness between two devices - family surprised me with a new phone for Christmas! And so all the uselessness is on the old one.
I had a wonderful time! It was ridiculously hot, but we went for a swim, so that was nice, and I got to spend the day with my cousin, who I only see a couple of times a year.
