Hello!
It's been a while since I've had a one/one that's actually survived, so I thought I'd try to find some partners.
I'm generally pretty active, on every day or every other day - more so the former - and I guess I'd think of myself as advanced? Possibly? I don't know, but I do enjoy fairly lengthy replies (my 'short' range can be around five hundred words, whereas a good response from me is generally one thousand or more), and the genres I enjoy are widespread, though I'll get into those in a different section. My main thing here is that I focus heavily on characters and their arcs - I like well-rounded characters that make mistakes and stuff like that.
My plots come secondary to characters, not gonna lie. There can be multiple plots in one roleplay, it's just a matter of making arcs and stuff. I had a roleplay, once, that lasted for three years because we kept coming up with more and more for it, and when the characters we used got old/boring, we adjusted to a different generation. That's the sort of thing that gets me hyped up, to be honest.
I am prone to losing muse, but I'm always down to chat - so it would be super nice to have someone who's willing to just sorta yell with me, to be honest.
I'm also not usually this formal, I like chatspeaking when I'm not roleplaying. Feels good man.
Anyway, I can do a separate thread or private message - it is completely up to you because I'm indecisive as all hell.
Things I'm Into:
- Crime - spies, mafia, police, criminals in general, gangs...you name it.
- Drama, in general - I enjoy fast-paced roleplays with lotsa conflict.
- Action! Constant movement of plot!
- Some slice-of-life. Generally incorporated into something else - I'm unlikely to do a coffee shop meeting roleplay, but hell if I don't mind some domestic moments here and there.
- Paranormal/supernatural-style. I'm talkin' ghosts and vampires and werewolves and various myths and cryptids.
- Historical. I won't touch wars, but I'm all about the Golden Age of Piracy and the Victorian era. Or, hell, undefined medieval? Sign me up.
- Mixing genres is hella fun too.
- Night in the Woods is one of my favourite games, and doing something similar to that would be fun.
- Pokemon - nuzlockes, specifically. I've been dying to do a good roleplay that could fall under similar world-rules as the comic 'Alterity'. I love the ideas portrayed in that comic, but I can also explain them if needed and you were interested in this. It would be pretty gritty and fun as hell.
- I'm into other games such as Overwatch, Payday 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal, and so on. There's loads, so just hit me up and I can tell you whether I've played them or not.
- The All For The Game series. It's cool as hell, includes mafia and sports. One helluva book series, to be honest.
- The Raven Cycle could be a fun idea to play from.
- Skulduggery Pleasant! I haven't finished the recent book, but hell if the world ain't fun to play with.
- The Lies of Locke Lamora (GBS Series) - thieves. Fun 'n great world, to be honest, though I haven't met many people who've read it.
- Rick Riordan books in general, I enjoy them demigods. It can be hard to cycle a plot for them, but we can definitely think of something!
- Once again, I'm into a load of book series, so just hit me up and see if I've read something.
- I'm also into a load of various television shows - Brooklyn Nine-Nine, How to Get Away With Murder, so on. Movies are a little harder for me since I prefer things along the lines of Kubo, but hey, if you don't ask then you'll never know.
That's the gist of what I'm into, but I'm open to suggestions and more!
