"Yes, now hold it for as long as you can," mewed Ternfeather, putting her paw down.

GriffinClan
"Sorry,I didn't see who you were with," answered Lionclaw, who hadn't payed attention to or even noticed Lauralwing. "Maybe they went by the river?" *******************************************************************************
Guardians
Tryant just snorted then dashed off, tail held high in the air.
Raiden just sighed and placed his paw on his face.
"The spirits ended up choosing Dragonfire and Sunfox as the new leaders of PheonixClan," Reily spoke. "And the two toms ruled together until Dragonpheonix was killed by a rogue group."

"Uhhh, okay," said Emberpaw, frowning. So far he wasn't having any problems, but the longer he held the position the harder it was.

GriffinClan
"I'll go check, I guess," said Cinderclaw, turning his head away. "Nice talking to you Lionclaw!" He bounded in the direction of the jail.

PheonixClan Ternfeather watches with a nod, sitting down. Her ears flicked as she listened to everything around her. ********************************************************** GriffinClan "Good luck!" called out Lionclaw, picking up her bird. "Don't let Lauralwing bite!" Raiden moaned. "They will be the death of me..."

PheonixClan Emberpaw finally dropped his leg. It hurt and felt like it was cramping. Ow, ow, ow, he thought. ********************************************************** GriffinClan (What did autocorrect do? The river is now name jail, because that is logic.) "I'll try not to let her catch me," Cinderclaw called back and laughed. PheonixClan Ternfeather noticed that he dropped his paw. "Now, do it with your other leg. When you finish with paw limb, do the same with hind legs." (Yes, there is a point to this.) ***************************************************************************** GriffinClan Lauralwing was sitting by the river, glaring at the water below. Her eyes were locked on a carp, and she raised her paw, ready to strike. (It was funny to be because of what I'm writing in my fanfiction... The three adults are going to jail so that mistype was funny to me... ) ********************************************************************************** Guardians Raiden just gave Tyr a look. "Then how are me and Rachel still here?"

[Darky, I just noticed, but on the front page You've put Waterslash down as Watersplash, and I just wanted to clarify that her suffix is -slash, not -splash.]
Griffinclan
Hushclaw was sitting on the top of the water monster that housed the clan's camp, among the roots of a tree. He'd watched the silent disagreement between the Commander and Laurelwing about mentoring and pondered whether he should talk to Foxgriffin about it. Hushclaw snorted at the thought. Foxgriffin would hardly care if there was contention between some of the clanmates. That tom rarely took time to think of any cat other than himself. Sure, in a pinch he knew how to take charge, but from what Hushclaw had seen, running the clan day to day was far less important to the vain leader who preferred to let kits flock around him in awe. "Tch." Hushclaw closed his eyes and let out a small sigh as he tried to shove the distaste he had for his leader to the side. Bad thoughts would just breed more discontent. The important thing was that the clan was happier and safer now than it had been for a while. No point in wasting more time. He should hunt. Hushclaw flickered off, reappearing several tree-lengths away, near the Smooth Stone River's bank.
Guardians
"Because the universe has a sick sense of humor." Riddle quipped at Raiden from where he was lounging a few tail-lengths off to the side. The tom had slept in today and only bothered showing up at all because he heard Reily telling a legend as he passed by. He'd managed to miss seeing Tyrant and Rachel at it again, thankfully. But now the conversation between Raiden and Tyr had become distracting, as Riddle was more than a little curious about the immortality thing.

(Okay fixed... Hopefully!)
GriffinClan
Foxgriffin had came down to talk to Hushclaw, but just missed him as he teleported out of there. With a snort, the vain tom headed to the fresh-kill pile and began scanning it.
Flameheart was near the Smooth Stone River's bank. He had a small pile of perch beside him.
(Lauralwing is at the other river, which is deeper.) *******************************************************************************
Guardians
Raiden snorted with agreement with Riddle's words.
"No kidding!" the white tom spoke. "I don't deserve to be here... After what happened..."
"Are you talking about Sickspirit and Sunpheonix's deaths?" asked Reily from where he was with Yui. "That was many, many seasons ago... By now, only the Guardians would remember anything about it?"
"Er, Reily," questioned Yui. "How did Sunpheonix live so long? He was ancient at the time... that happen!"
"Some say that was his power or his lost..." answered back the tom. "However, no one knows for sure..."

Phoenixclan
"Amberhawk!" Thistlepaw bounded towards her mentor, "Can we go battle training today?" The grey she-cat pranced from one foot to the other hopefully. She'd heard Emberpaw was doing hunting and hoped she could weave out of any of that. "Maybe Ruinpaw and Smokeclaw could come too!" She looked in Ruinpaw's direction with a toothy smile.
Ghostsight was in the Medic Hollow, carefully emptying his pouch. He'd gone herb gathering that morning and needed to organize everything now. He began by removing the herbs he planned to dry out, placing them near the mouth of the den so they were in the sunlight.
Pegasusclan
Glassheart padded over to Flowerleap a little tentatively. She was still new to the clan, but she'd found Fowerleap's ... well, bossiness... to actually be comforting. Flowerleap knew what she was talking about and wasn't afraid to say so, which had been exactly was Glassheart needed. She gave a small nod to Leafshine, but focused on the warrior. "Flowerleap, would you like to go hunting with me?" she meowed, scuffing her paw hopefully.
Guardians
Riddle watched Raiden through narrowed eyes. Over time, he'd come to not entirely trust the tom, even though Riddle was fairly certain Raiden's grief over his past was genuine. "Maybe being here is your punishment." Riddle's steely voice softened slightly as he thought of his brother's death.

PheonixClan
Emberpaw did as he was told. He picked up his next leg and held it.
(Alright.)
*****************************************************************************
GriffinClan
When Cinderclaw caught sight of the she-cat he paused, not wanting to scare her prey away.
(That is funny. xD )
**********************************************************************************
Guardians
"Maybe because you are both stubborn," said the Guardian with a twitch of his whiskers. He was listening to what Riddle and Raiden said, but was trying not to dive back into memories of the past. That shouldn't be how today went.

Griffinclan
Hushclaw padded along the bank looking for a good spot to fish. He passed Flameheart and nodded at his pile appreciatively, "Nice catches."
Dragonclan
Waterslash was near the canal, practicing her power. She used the water to clean her fur, which was dusty from tunneling. Manipulating dirty water proved harder than she'd thought it would, but if she focused, it worked fine. Not only that, but her fur was cleaner and drier than it normally was after a wash. She separated the water from the dirt, letting the mud splatter to the ground with a proud smirk.

PheonixClan
"Sorry," Amberhawk mewed. "But for now, we are heading to the border with GriffinClan. However, Smokeclaw and Ruinpaw are coming."
Smokeclaw, after chatting with Crosspheonix, went over to Ruinpaw and Silverpaw. Ruinpaw frowned but stood up, shaking out his fur.
Ternfeather nodded, feeling proud of her apprentice. *********************************************************************************************************
GriffinClan
Flameheart turned to look at Hushclaw and nodded his thanks. However, he stayed silent, keeping his focus on the fish below the water.
(I was hoping that Cinderclaw would try to scare her but...)
Lauralwing went in to grab the carp but, not only missed, but fell headfirst into the steam. With a hiss, she swam against the current, but reached the shore. ****************************************************************************************
DragonClan
Darkstep and Staghorn passed by, having missed the rabbit. However, they had found a small clutch of eggs and were carrying them back to camp.
Staghorn waved his stumpy tail at Waterslash in greeting.
However, Lightbreeze and Yarrowpaw appeared. Lightbreeze growled at Darkstep as she saw her sister. ****************************************************************************************************
PegasusClan
(I can see Glassheart and Flowerstep being friends...)
"Sure thing!" Flowerstep purred. "Just let me clean up a little bit."
"Just make sure to be careful," mewed Leafshine. "Stoneheart noticed that there was a hawk in the area yesterday."
Then, Gullfeather crashed down in the middle of camp, sending feather flying everywhere. Leafshine sighed as she went over to check up on him. ******************************************************************************************************
Guardians
"Maybe," Raiden answered Riddle. He then turned to Tyr and just glared at him. Then he sighed again. "Once again... Maybe... But if stubbornness kept us alive, then there should be others that were able to live longer... But they don't."
"Now... Where was I?" asked Reily.
"You were telling me about the history of the clans," Yui chirped

PheonixClan
Emberpaw had to set down his paw again, but raised his second to last paw, holding it as long as possible. "What is this doing again?" he asked.
*************************************************************
GriffinClan
(I couldn't figure out which you wanted me to do, but he's a new way that he could possibly scare her.)
A sudden ripple in Cinderclaw's chest caused him to gasp and dig his claws into the earth below him. He shut his eyes, not seeing what happened to his clanmate when she fell into the river. No, no, no. Not now. Not ever. His shoulders hunched as he tried to battle with his alter-ego. His insanity. Why now?
************************************************************
Guardians
Tyr flicked his tail, not feeling up to responding. It was about points of view, after all. It could easily be so many reasons. He laid his head down on his paws, half closing his eyes as he listened to what was going on around him.
(Tyr, why are you such a quiet character?)

Pheonixclan
Thistlepaw's face fell and she stifled a groan. She muttered, "Ok. Its something." She headed toward the camp entrance, and as she went, her head lifted and she shot a smile at her mentor, "Maybe we'll run into a Griffinclan patrol!"
Pegasusclan
Glassheart smiled in return, "Of course." She blinked at Leafshine's warning. For a moment, Glassheart was puzzled as to why a hawk would be a problem, and glanced at the sky. Then her diminished size registered and she swallowed. For every perk this new life had, there seemed to be a drawback.
Dragonclan
Waterslash returned the water from where it had come with a skillful flick as she acknowledged Staghorn with a amused roll of her eyes. "Hello, Staghorn," She came a little closer to the runner and eyed him with borderline pity, "I'm improving my power's control dramatically. What's your day been like?"

PheonixClan
"This is done to strengthen your limbs," answered Ternfeather. "And it also increases your stamina. After all, in a fight, you will be on weakened limbs. This will help with that."
Amberhawk just laughed at her apprentice's expression and rest one of her wings on the younger cat's shoulders.
Smokeclaw, however, just looked serious while Ruinpaw was shaking.
"I hope that we don't see any of them..." Ruinpaw mewed. ***************************************************************************************
GriffinClan
Lauralwing snarled as she began to lick her fur, trying to dye it. Her tail flicked back and forth in anger. ***********************************************************************************
DragonClan
Staghorn snorted but couldn't answered back because of the eggs in his jaws. However, he shook his horns at her in warning.
"Get out of my way, weakling!" Lightbreeze snarled at Darkstep. "I will show you what a true warrior is!" Smiling, she added, "hello, Waterslash."
Yarrowpaw just stared at her paws, nervous.
Darkstep just frowned, unable to answer. *************************************************************
PegasusClan
Flowerstep quickly cleaned, ducking under the feathers.
"Quick, let's go before these feathers cover us!" she mewed at Glassheart. ************************************************************
Guardians
"Right, right!" coughed Reily. "Now... what more do you want to know?"
"What about Moongriffin?" asked Yui. "I heard that he was the only leader that left the area... Why would a leader want to leave this place?"

PheonixClan
"Alright," said Emberpaw. He sat down his last paw and looked up at his mentor. "Now what?" He had a sneaking suspicion he knew what was going to happen next now, and he tensed his muscles, ready.
***************************************************************************************
GriffinClan
Cinderclaw let out another shudder. His brain was trying to collect all the likely outcomes that might come from this. What would happen? Well, it was always a surprise. Sometimes he just ended up running away and when he returned to his senses he was in another clan's territory. That never went too badly, except for that one time... His head twitched a finally time and he blinked. He looked over at Laurelwing and his eyes narrowed. "Oh, can't you do that later?" he snapped, fur puffed out in growing anger.
***********************************************************************************
Guardians
Tyr twitched his ear, still listening but mimicking sleep.

Ternfeather did not attack Emberpaw but instead stood on her hind legs, balancing her weight.
"Now, stand on your hindlegs," she ordered. ******************************************************************************
GriffinClan
Lauralwing just glared at Cinderclaw. "Do you have a problem with it?"
Then, she continued cleaning herself. ***************************************************************************************
Guardians
"Well, legends states that Moongriffin missed the life he once had," Reily continued. "As he was once a twoleg. Unlike Amberphoenix, who some state was somewhat heartless, Moongriffin had a family... A mate outside of the clans.... So he felt to find them."
Raiden stopped and turned to face Reily , a snarl in his throat.

Guardians
Riddle tilted his head at this. He waved his tail and interrupted skeptically, "...But what would be the point? Moongriffin's mate and family were twolegs. Its not as if he'd be able to return to as it had been before. They wouldn't even know it was him." He'd noticed Raiden's reaction and, hoping to soothe the hot-tempered elder, added in a cool tone, "Amberphoenix sounds more sensible than heartless if you ask me."
Phoenixclan
Thistlepaw settled into a less bouncy walk, so that her mentor's wing could rest comfortably. Hearing Ruinpaw she called cheerfully, "Ah, don't be a scaredy-cat." And in a more teasing tone, "I'll protect you!"
Griffinclan
Hushclaw continued onward, until he found a spot of shore that looked promising. He crouched low so his shadow wouldn't fall onto the slow moving water and waited.
Dragonclan
Waterslash rolled her eyes at Staghorn, "Careful. You might drop your egg." She might have said more, but her fur suddenly stood on end as she heard Lightbreeze heading her way, as announced by the warrior's scathing remarks to Darkstep. Waterslash took a deep calming breath, reminding herself that Lightbreeze was actually friendly to her, something few clanmates were graced with. It wasn't completely surprising though, as Waterslash was, well, Waterslash. She turned and smiled with feigned surprise, "True warrior, huh?" She purred, knowing Lightbreeze had potentially been referring to herself. "I'm flattered, Lightbreeze."
Pegasusclan
Glassheart laughed, "Yeah!" And followed quickly after Flowerstep, dodging the feathers as best she could.

PheonixClan
"But..." mewed Ruinpaw, glancing around in fear. "What if Foxgriffin is there?"
"Then we stand our ground," answered Smokeclaw. "You are not of GriffinClan. Foxgriffin has no right to do anything to you."
"There is something wrong with that cat," mewed Amberhawk, taking her wing off of Thistlepaw. "We need to be careful..." *********************************************************************
GriffinClan
Burntheart just continued to fish, missing a fish with his claws. He hissed then stayed quiet, watching the waters. **************************************************************************
DragonClan
"Of course," mewed Lightbreeze. "After all, only true warriors can stand the darkness of the tunnels, the greatness of creating tunnels... Something that foolish Runners will never understand!"
Staghorn just rolled his eyes at both Waterslash and Lightbreeze, but continued on to camp, calming Darkstep.
Yarrowpaw just sniffed the ground, watching Waterslash. ***********************************************************************************
PegasusClan
Flowerstep took a deep breath once they were outside. She laughed as she glanced over the territory.
"Nothing beats the smell of fresh air in the early sunrise..." she whispered out loud. ******************************************************************************
Guardians
Raiden just stared at Riddle in surprise.
"Er... No, that is not why I'm upset," he answered. "In fact.... Amberpheonix herself would tell you that she was selfish! She was... very honest and blunt. No, the reason I'm upset is that isn't the reason why Moongriffin left..."
"Then why?" asked Yui, a curious look on her face.
"Moongriffin left so soon after the Great Battle with the reformed DarkClan..." Raiden answered her. "Because he couldn't stand to be in the area where his sister gave her life... In a sense, he was heart-broken. Add to the fact he, unlike Amberphoenix, never felt like he fit in... He just couldn't stay..."
"So is that why Moongriffin has no descendants?" asked Yui with a snarl. "Because he was frightened?"

Guardians
Riddle shifted uncomfortably at how perceptive Raiden had been at his comment. He'd hoped he was being subtle. Guess, he shouldn't have been surprised. The tom was ancient. Hearing Raiden's alternative explanation, something struck a cord in him, hearing Moongriffin's grief over his sibling. His mind unwillingly turned towards Jasperpaw. Was history only meant to taunt him with reminders? Anger bubbled up inside him, just as Yui snarled. Riddle stood up and glared at her, hissing, "Does it matter? His progeny was his decision. Who cares if he didn't have any?"
Pegasusclan
Glassheart followed suit, breathing in the air. She found herself inclined to agree. As a caribou, she'd loved early morning runs. A morning ritual she'd yet to do since joining the clans. "Where to, now?" She asked softly.
Dragonclan
Waterslash basked in the praise, but waved a paw at Lightbreeze's scorn for Runners, "Oh, they serve a purpose. Their tiny quick paws are useless in tunnelwork, so they might as well bring us prey." Waterslash looked at Yarrowpaw and added with a confiding tone, "Lightbreeze is right though. Runners can't understand how important our craft is. Too scared of the dark."
Phoenixclan
"Would he really try and do something?" She asked with a puzzled expression, sensing the shift in tone and genuine concern the warriors were showing. "He'd better not!" She snapped, a sudden rush of protectiveness filling Thistlepaw for Ruinpaw. No one got to bother her friends, but her! Especially not some uppity Griffinclan leader.

PhoenixClan
"Yes," stated Smokeclaw. "He would. To this day, I still wonder how an idiot like him became leader."
Ruinpaw still looked worried.
Amberhawk sighed. "Look, just trust your clanmates. We will protect you." *******************************************************************************************
DragonClan
Staghorn and Darkstep had left to take the eggs back to camp.
"Okay..." mewed Yarrowpaw. "I think that I understand... It's just that tunnels remind me of the day that Foxgriffin scarred me."
"Don't worry!" Lightbreeze interrupted. "That crazy cat can't do anything here! Besides, you are brave... Even after that, you still chose to be a Tunneler!" **********************************************************************************
PegasusClan
"How about the Sky Groves?" asked Flowerstep. "Maybe we can find some birds..."
The tortoiseshell she cat waited for Glassheart's answer. *****************************************************************************
Guardians
"Frightened?" snorted Raiden. "Hardly! We do not force anyone to be anything but what they want to be. Since Moongriffin wanted to leave, he left. As for kids... It wasn't being a weakling, it was still being loyal to his mate... no matter what. Some cats could learn that lesson."
"Yui... Stop," coughed Reily. "We are not here to judge the ancients."

Phoenixclan
Thistlepaw nodded at what her mentor said. She stepped away from her mentor so she was a little closer to Ruinpaw and focused her glared in the direction of the border.
Griffinclan
Hushclaw flicked out a paw, slicing through the water and scooping a perch onto the bank. He pounced and cracked its neck with his teeth before it could try and flop back into the river. Setting his catch to the side, he returned to the water's edge. His disturbance had sent most of the few visible fish off in a panic. After waiting for a minute, the fish began to hesitantly creep back into range.
[Before I reply to Dragonclan, is what happened with yarrowpaw and foxgriffin common knowledge? And if so, what happened?]
Pegasusclan
"Sounds good!" Glassheart answered after a beat. She turned in that direction, her mind already going over the hunting training she'd received.
Guardians
Riddle grunted derisively as he turned and began heading out of the cavern, "I'm going hunting."

PheonixClan
Ruinpaw still was worried but followed Smokeclaw out as the deputy began to move. However, his tail flicked in fear as they moved.
Amberhawk followed Smokeclaw, waving her tail to signal to Thistlepaw. "Now, be careful. We still don't know if what killed our last leader is still out there." *************************************************************************************
GriffinClan
With a sigh, Burntheart began to bury some of the fish, picking up what he could. He began to take them back to camp. *************************************************************************************
DragonClan
(Well, since Foxgriffin attacked both Goldenpaw(Hydra) and Yarrowpaw(Dragon) right after the Ceremony where they chose their clans... All because he wanted them to follow in his pawsteps and be in GriffinClan, to learn from him. Everyone else (warrior wise) was very upset with Foxgriffin's actions.
Sad thing is... Yarrowpaw loves tunnels and darkness but thinks of Foxgriffin everytime she enters one, souring it.) ********************************************************************
PegasusClan
"Great!" mewed Flowerstep before looking behind her and moaning. "Quick, lets go!"
Gullfeather had followed the two, now with herbs covering parts of his wings. He looked at them with an upset look on his face. ******************************************************************************************************

Phoenixclan
Thistlepaw nodded and scanned the trees with more excitement than caution. Realizing she couldn't scent as she would when hunting she mewed, "Did what killed Crystalphoenix leave a scent?"
Griffinclan
After catching a couple fish more, the perch seemed to realize it was best to avoid the area Hushclaw was crouched. The deputy turned and gathered the caught fish into his jaws and teleported to the camp's entrance. He tried to avoid teleporting right into camp as it tended to startle his clanmates. He carried his catches down to the fresh kill pile.
Dragonclan
Waterslash made a sympathetic noise for the apprentice. Crazy cat indeed. What kind of cat attacked their own kin? "Give it time..." The warrior looked like she might add more, but seemed to have a thought strike her and she fell silent. After a moment, she looked up and announced, "Well, I'm hungry. See you in camp." She headed for the camp entrance in a brisk pace, her finned tail slicing the air behind her.
Pegasusclan
Glassheart glanced between Flowerstep and Gullfeather with a mildly puzzled expression. She shrugged at Gullfeather and darted quickly after Flowerstep, "Coming!"
Guardians
Riddle gave a noncommittal grunt of acknowledgement to Raiden as he left. Taking the tom's advice though, he split down a separate tunnel than the one Rachel had used.

"That is the strange thing..." answered Amberhawk. "Whatever or whoever killed her... There was no scent."
"And that is why we are going to be careful," Smokeclaw added. "And cheer up Ruinpaw..."
Ruinpaw just continued looking worried as they continued on. *************************************************************************************
GriffinClan
Foxgriffin had finished eating and looked up at Hushclaw. He nodded as his deputy carried the fish. However, he ignored him otherwise.
Lionclaw passed by Hushclaw, heading out towards the border. ***********************************************************************************************
DragonClan
"Okay!" purred Lightbreeze. "See you soon, as for us.... Into the tunnels!"
Lightbreeze dashed into the tunnels while Yarrowpaw slowly following behind.
Darkstep and Staghorn were carefully lowering the eggs next to the fresh kill pile.
Littledragon began to move towards Darkstep, a frown on his face. *******************************************************************8

Flowerstep continued to dash towards the Sky Groves.
Gullfeather, with a shout, followed the two, cursing them the whole way. **********************************************************************

"Huh?" asked Emberpaw, a little surprised that this was how the train session was going. But he shrugged and lifted up his forepaws so he was standing on his hindlegs. He didn't like how exposed this made his belly, so he made a point to eye Ternfeather for any sudden movements. ******************************************************************************
GriffinClan
"Noooo," said Cinderclaw, letting the word roll off the tongue. It was hard to tell whether it was sarcasm, or, by some odd turn of events, he was trying to flirt. He certainly seemed to have relaxed more, fur not longer stiff and shoulders lose.
***************************************************************************************
Guardians
Tyr had continued to the exchange back and forth, but didn't express his opinion. He didn't want to voice that he somehow felt that Moongriffin had been in...somehow...the right. It was his choice. He'd helped the clans and deserved to make his own path. But he said none of this, only laying his head deeper into his fur and pretended to fall asleep. Not like he could sleep with so much going on around him.
