I feel like I only just made one of these but hey ho, whatever, it's summer now so I have much more time; time I can put into rps! so this is just going to be a laid back search post, not a plot shop or anything. I do have plots hidden away, so we can fall back on those, but for now I'll just be telling you a bit about myself and what I'm looking for because a) I'm lazy and b) I don't want to limit myself to a selection of plots off the bat. I know the title is all about summer, but if everything goes accordingly it'd be great to see these continue past that and into autumn later.
so, then, a little about me. I consider myself anything between semi-advanced and advanced and have continued several rps where I post upwards of eight paragraphs a post, but generally, I'm most comfortable posting only four or five. with few exceptions, beyond that, I feel it's mostly unnecessary filler and that gets exhausting quick. I'm pretty active and get on almost every day with exceptions made for travelling and sickness or whatever, but how often I post depends greatly on my muse and energy as well as how long my posts get in our specific rp. I'm always up for chatting in between posts, though! I love getting to know the people I rp with. I'd also like to note that I'm LGBT friendly because I know that's a big deal for a lot of people, including myself.
when it comes to who I'm looking for, I'd like someone who can give me at least a paragraph of rp with few exceptions. I know that I myself write what many consider a lot, especially at first, but as long as you give me a paragraph and something to work with I won't complain. some consistency when it comes to activity would be nice and I'd prefer to get a response of some kind at least a few times a week, whether it just be a chatty hello or an actual rp response. friendliness is huge, I'd be over the moon if we could talk outside of rp as well. finally, please only say hi if you're LGBT friendly. we don't have to rp a gay pairing or even include a romantic aspect to the plot, but being LGBT myself it's vital to me that I can feel welcomed by you.
finally, I'm pretty open to most plots tbh. I'm feeling fantasy and sci-fi (as usual) but slice-of-life or historical works as well. more specifically, I'd love to do some kind of time travel or space travel, and pirates are always so much fun. like I said though, most anything goes. plenty of drama is a must, that's what carries the plot forward imo. fandom plots are fine but only if it's based on something I've consumed. I've tried fandom plots I'm not well versed in and it never ends well. if you have a fandom you'd like to rp within, asking is easiest because I'll miss something if I list the ones I know. I always do and people always ask for their fandoms anyway so why not just save myself the trouble (did I mention I'm lazy?). I prefer a thread over PMs but sometimes the nature of a plot demands PMs and in those cases, it's of course absolutely fine. and if you prefer PMs, it's not like I abhor them. when it comes to romance, fxf is easiest for me, but I'm also comfortable with nbxa, mxf or mxm so idk?? whatever you prefer is totally fine with me, really. and no romance is a-okay as well, of course. so that's that, I think! let me know if you're interested and we can go from there! we'll figure it out, I'm sure.

mag! <3 hello! I honestly don't have any plots in mind right now, though there are always a few floating around somewhere to draw on if I need them. do you have anything you want to do?

Hey <3 Honestly I'm the most indecisive person ever and I'm willing to rp anything so we might be in a bit of a predicament. I would honestly say that, since you're interested in fantasy or sci-fi, I would probably be more interested in fantasy, sine I really enjoy doing fantasy and supernatural and stuff. Other than that, you know I'm always happy to do that historical stuff XD]

anyone who knows me knows that I, too, am indecicive as hell, so it's all good. a bit of a problem for both of us, though cx I'm so down for fantasy tbh I'm one of those weird people who prefer fantasy and adventure when it starts getting warmer.

[That's okay, we can plot some stuff out x So we've settled on fantasy now, which is the first hurdle XD
If you have any fantasy plots floating around I'd love to hear them. I don't rp fantasy quite as often so I don't really have any of my own]

too many tbh which we go with all really depends on what kind of setting we want, what fantasy we want to incorporate and so on and so forth. maybe we could narrow it down a bit and then I can track down what I've got - I wouldn't want to give you plots neither of us are really looking for anyway

[Hmm, true, okay. Uhhhhhhhh, I have no idea. You like fantasy and historical, so we could always try and combine them and use historical as a setting? I don't know, I'm just spitballing ideas here. I'm not very good at coming up with fantasy plots. I love roleplaying it, I'm just awful at the plotting parts XD]

cx don't worry, I get it, we all have that one genre where that's the case
medieval fantasy is always a go to, so I could dig something up there if you'd like or victorian with a fantasy twist could be fun, I'm pretty sure I have something there and the age of exploration is like the perfect opportunity to throw in some fantasy because there was so much happening anyway
any preferences there? or even other ideas.

[OMG they all look so good. I do tend to go for medieval or Victorian, I'm totally fine with that. If we did Victorian we could go with something much darker and gothic. Whereas with medieval we could definitely go in a lot of directions with it]

yeah for sure, the victorian plot would probably be a lot darker and draw more heavily on folklore while the medieval fantasy would likely be the usual adventure/quest we so often see
I'm honestly leaning pretty heavily towards victorian myself but it's up to you!

I don't have any plots written for this purpose already and I don't have any ideas revealing themselves, so we could either keep working on it together or I could go away and see what I can come up with? it all depends on which you'd be more comfortable with.

[Okay, I don't mind if we keep working on it together]

alright, we'll keep working it then! I guess the first thing we might like to decide is whether it will take place in actual victorian england or if it's just a victorian-esque setting, that will open or close a lot of doors, I think.

[Hm...right...that's true. I guess whichever one is less constraining. An actual Victorian setting might be fun but it might put more constraints on the plot]

perhaps we could just leave it totally open, then? whichever fits the plot best will probably work

don't worry, you're being perfectly helpful!
so, there are a few options I can see. either pick some british folktale and spin something around that or just make the whole thing full of the more expected but dark and slightly twisted magic and see where that could take us. alternatively, we could just take something more common (vampires or fae feel like they'd fit right in) and twist that slightly to make more sense in the setting, or even just let the setting itself be the twist. the first two feel as thought they'd work better in an alternate england whereas the last could just as easily work in our world

[Hm... okay. I'm thinking if we go for the classic Victorian gothic stuff with a bit of a twist, that would be really good x]

the third is just fine with me! any preferences on the creature(s) we bring into it or should we just go wild and throw everything in there?

[Let's just go wild with it XD]

why not, right? cx so that leaves basically every door open. we could either take some historical event and change it to encompass the supernatural (maybe jack the ripper was a vampire or maybe prince albert ate fae food and was thus forced to leave, who knows?) or just create a brand new plot entirely.

|
Post by ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧ on Jun 16, 2017 15:15:38 GMT -5
[Hm... I kind of love the Jack the Ripper thing, though we might have to deviate a little bit more from reality, since the kind of women he killed...might not be allowed under forum rules]

no, I know exactly what you mean. whether its playing it safe or not, it's probably best to make the whole thing a little more PG-13. we'd have to tone down violence and such anyway because that definitely wouldn't be allowed. it comes with the territory, I think.
|
|
|
Post by ƤαƖƖαѕ ✧ on Jun 16, 2017 15:34:21 GMT -5
[Yep, we should probably tone down the killing methods a little bit and try and skip over the whole thing about the women he killed being less than reputable]

absolutely
so, we have a concept, do you have any ideas as to what plot we could weave around it?

[Hmm... not particularly. I'll keep thinking but otherwise, I'm a little stuck with plot and stuff. I'll probably get a lot more creativity back when my GCSEs are done. I only have one more exam left {whoop}]
