Kinda bored with my current warriors persona. Changing to a Riverclan cat now.

Well, the cats don't know what oceans and beaches are and Rainflower is a canon name. I wouldn't go with Waterleaf either, as she's gray and not blue-gray, but I like Mistpelt.

I just find it odd that they know of some many types of trees, animals, and bodies of water, but don't know the word for "ocean". They could learn about the word at some point in the future.

oceanstar
Well, I find it unlikely they would. If a random rogue came into a camp saying the sun-drown-place was called ocean, I don't think they'd believe them.

Rainflower is already a name from the books; she's Crookedstar's mother.

I think that, without knowing something about the character, we can't come up with a solid name. Prefixes describing her color would be best, things like 'Mist-,' 'Fog-,' 'Dawn-,' etc., if you don't just want to go with 'Grey-' or 'Silver-.' As for suffixes, what is she skilled at? If the character is particularly skilled at fighting, names like '-claw,' '-fang,' '-strike,' or '-blaze' could be fitting. If she's a good hunter, then there are suffixes like '-leg' (if she's good at running things down), '-nose' (if she's good at tracking), and '-whisker' or '-foot' (if she's good at hunting in general). Personality suffixes are also an option. '-cloud' is a good one if she's a calm cat, and '-storm' if she's particularly determined or moody, depending on how her Clan sees storms. '-breeze' could describe a particularly carefree, optimistic cat. I know the fandom at large uses '-flower' to describe a motherly cat, but I personally use it to describe a very pretty cat, the same way '-face' is used. Suffixes naming body parts can also be describing markings or physical appearance. See: 'Blackfoot,' 'Smallear,' 'Crookedjaw,' 'Longtail,' etc. There's also ones like '-stripe,' '-pelt,' and '-fur,' which usually indicate a cat that doesn't stick out in any one particular area enough to be named after a certain skill or trait. I hope this helps.
