-I don't like prophecies. This isn't me being high and mighty--I write prophecies sometimes. I can't do them in the same style as they are in Warriors, but mine are still bad. Prophecies of any kind are almost always this weird mix of "well obviously it means this" and "how are you getting this meaning from those words." I like omens and stuff, but not prophecies. Of course having a prophecy won't make me stop reading, but 99% of the time they make me cringe.
-I don't mind making some grammar mistakes (just make it understandable), but if you're writing a Warriors fanfiction I'd hope you'd have noticed at some point that the names are "Bluestar" and the Clans are "ThunderClan." Like, it's right there? That alone isn't enough to get me to stop reading, but it is a little grating that something so simple and easily referenced is so commonly messed up.
-This is completely a personal thing, but I can't stand spoofs or trollfics.
-Making someone OOC for revenge, killing them off for revenge without a good in-story excuse, etc.
-The cliché of "I'm supposed to kill you but I can't because I'm in love with you." It's okay as, like, part of a battle in a larger story, but when that's the plot, it's just, like…you were okay with murder right up until you looked into their beautiful shimmering clear blue eyes like the sky at sunhigh and just shut up I don't care about your crush.
-Fanfictions that seem to be nothing but recap and ceremonies. I will admit there is a particular fanfiction I have in mind, but I have seen multiple that are like this and am somewhat guilty of it myself.
-Crossovers. They're just…weird. Some of them are bad enough to be enjoyable, but overall I just don't like them.
-When the author can't tell their main character is a jerk. You can do dissonance, but unintentional dissonance is bad. (Though I'll admit I kind of love to read about characters I hate.)
I will be honest, I sometimes read the extreme cliché stories because I expect them to be bad. Here are some of the things that can't quite make it onto the pet peeve list because I like to read bad fanfictions:
-Scourge's child (usually daughter) either seeks revenge or makes BloodClan nice.
-The SkyClan plot, whether this is about SkyClan, one of the other canon Clans, a sixth living Clan, or an equivalent in a different universe.
-A hitman-type cat suddenly falls in love with their (usually his) new target.
-This poor little kit grows up to be leader, as you can tell from the title! Pretty much the SE model. Can be written well but rarely has a compelling enough plot.
-Cats with powers.
-The poor misunderstood edgy cat (usually male) who kills their Clanmates for talking to them, sleeps outside of camp because no one can stop them, and probably has a name like Bloodmoon. Doesn't need a plot, they're that cool, right?
-This story is about how Dovewing is actually really evil and mistreats Ivypool. The names might be changed, but you can tell.
-The kit is abused by the whole Clan for no apparent reason and has no friends (except for the friends they talk to all the time, who are only acknowledged to exist when they are on-page, you know, like "I have no friends […] Graypaw and Icepaw, my only friends, talk to me about training until their mentors call them to a patrol […] everyone hates me and I have no friends"). A common model for GNs back in the day.
-Framed for murder!!! No one will believe that it was really that creepy, strong cat named Poisonfang (who's always wanted to be leader) who killed the innocent Shinepetal. Poor exiled Tigerblaze, everyone hates them (usually her, unless the dead cat was a former love interest).

It pertains more to the reactions of fanfictions than fanfictions themselves. I can't stand when people act so high and mighty, and utterly tear into someone's work without offering criticism - just hate. It's like when people on here laugh at fanfictions they think are poorly done, instead of talking about and explaining what makes them poorly done. It's so irritating.

It's like when people on here laugh at fanfictions they think are poorly done, instead of talking about and explaining what makes them poorly done. It's so irritating. There's also the reverse situation of that where someone gets legitimate (and sometimes even polite) criticisms of the work and then the author tears into the person because they dared bring up a genuine problem their story had… It's one of the reasons why I generally don't review on a lot of stories…

I actually find it just a little annoying when people go overboard in explaining a villains history, to the point where they end up not really being the villain. A lot of readers may think they want to know everything about a villain or they want a backstory, but really they want an excuse/explanation. Villain's need an air of mystery about them, it's what makes them compelling! Only explain the backstory of a villain if it's actually relevant to the plot, not just to explain it. What's more fearful, the known or the unknown?
We don't like things we don't understand. We want to put things into a box and label it and understand it. But not allowing readers to do so or limiting their ability to do so often creates a more compelling, memorable story. The reason why villains like Lex Luthor and the joker are so compelling and have stood the test of time is because you don't get a backstory, and the reasons are pretty non existent- The Joker is just crazy, Lex wants power.
Be careful that you don't make a villain sympathetic, or that explaining their actions doesn't lead to their actions no longer makes sense. For example I liked Mapleshade so much more before I found out her story. Then, she became petty and incredibly over dramatic and a little trite. Tigerstar being power hungry and blood thirsty was enough of a backstory; he didn't need anymore. It didn't add to his character it made him less of a villain.

this applies to main series>>>>
Cripples just because
External great weather until the plot calls for it to drought or flood, or anything else. ever. Which in turn causes no cats to die from the destruction nature dishes out... or just killing off elders.
inviting kittypets no one cares about into the clan... or give them 2-3 chapters of character time BECAUSE they are kittypets.
Spontaneous change of personality.
To fan fic:
really creepy lemons
grammner (pun intended)
the character always becomes This-star Thatstar Itstar
the most weirdest prophecies
both types>>>
Creepy names that have NO business of being in the warrior clan names when they can't possibly know was a wolf-, Apple-, Olive-, Plum-, Cherry-, Bella-, Billy-, etc is. Heck, barely Leopard, Tiger, and Lion get by.

Bad fanfictions where people try to justify the villains such as Mapleshade or Thistleclaw and it's just a huge pity party fest. Or Pinestar or Rainflower

Not knowing what wolves are would have made sense, but wolves are mentioned to live in the mountains (they hear them in the distance and I think it's Brook who explains what they are) because Warriors geography doesn't quite make sense.

- When people use scientific names for anatomy such as the legs, arms (this is mainly for warriors roleplay but it might be seen in fanfiction too)
- Cats being out of character (like Firestar killing a cat for pleasure)
- Forbidden mates from different clans (overused in both the actual books and fanfictions)
- Killing off characters literally every chapter (too much)
- Also never killing off characters (kind of unrealistic because these cats live in the wild. there are many dangers, and there can't be a miracle each time something bad happens)
- Mary-sues (self-explanatory)

Every time it is written in the canon universe about a cat going into twolegplace, they have no idea what the different varieties of plants and trees are. (Because they are domesticated) Literally proof they don't have a clue what a Lilly, Apple, Cherry, Wolf, etc is. Where the Clans are located on the continent does NOT in any way mean they can call the domesticated trees/plants by name, which they have NEVER EVER done. So why would they call each other names of things they can't name otherwise? So stupid. Canon or fanfic. And they even go far as to say Wolfheart, Olivevine, Apple Blossom, Falconclaw, Deer-anything, Stag-anything. Yes, they wouldn't have even run into a wolf or a deer (doe) or stag. They only run into badgers, snakes, birds, and foxes. They didn't even know what a mountain lion was.

Other cats can teach them what certain things are, and then from there the knowledge can be passed down. For example, Graystripe taught the cats the names of human furniture like chairs and tables in Bramblestar's Storm. Or beavers. None of them knew what beavers were until they learned about them, and now they all just refer to beavers normally. I don't know why that couldn't be said for the other things you mentioned. Not to mention, wolves and deer have appeared in the series before. Brook explained what wolves where when they were heard howling, and deer have appeared in several books. A dead deer was found by a river in the Omen of Stars series for example.

Oh boy. *Cracks knuckles* Here we go.
~ The whole "chosen one is a child, and strangely has no qualms about having to go on some major quest and possibly die during it" plot that so damn many of these fanfics seem to have ~ OOC stuff, if you're dealing with canon characters ~ Every "abused cat [who is abused for literally no reason] eventually rises up against oppressors" story on fanfic websites nowadays is essentially a clone after a clone, with slight name changes of characters here and there. It got old a while back. ~ hiGHSCHOOL AU'S PLEASE NO I'M SICK OF THEM ~ Obvious prophecies. Like, I understand that sometimes it's hard to write a prophecy, but if you keep doing things like this then maybe you shouldn't include it in your story. Or just briefly allude to it; don't mention the actual words of the prophecy, just say that there was one. Things like that. What I'm trying to say here is, try to be vague about it, but not so vague that it's obvious to your audience that you don't know what you're doing. Also, when a character can't figure out an obvious prophecy. ~ Things which are blatantly purely written to satisfy some fetish of the author's ~ Bad grammar/spelling from a native English speaker who is not handicapped in any way. If you have dyslexia or something, I can understand, but otherwise I really don't think there's a reason for you to be so lazy... ~ Protagonists who clearly have had little effort put into them. Their dialogue reads like you're looking at a script. ~ Too much detail, ex. describing every little part of a cat's anatomy when they appear in a scene ~ Conversely, not enough detail. "He walked up to the tree. He ate dirt" just doesn't get the imagination a-flowing for me, sorry. ~ When cats get certain kinds of powers in a way that doesn't make sense with the storyline [hey, though I can't speak about this particular one all that much, at least there's somewhat of a reason for Duncan not being able to die in the RapidClan story] ~ When people treat medicine cats as lesser than the rest of their Clanmates. Like, if you didn't have a doctor y'all'd be dead. ~ Cookie-cutter characters and plotlines in general ~ Badly-written lemons. If you want to see me legitimately cry, hit me up with a dramatic reading of one.
There's a truly [madly, deeply] disturbing amount of things I could say on this topic, but I don't want to make this post too long. i'll save the rest for another post or several. Probably several, knowing me.

ive only read one good fanfic where the cat was abused as a kit. the story behind it made perfect sense and all the cats had developed personalities. it ended up making me cry. but other than that one they all seem to be garbage but the reason behind that isnt bc theyre abused for no reason. that happens irl a lot. its bc they are all the same thing 95% of the time what story was that?
