*Claw sighed.* it's best to travel with two rather than by yourself. *Claw said as he went into the hole tree and got some cobwebs. He dropped them at Fire's paws and went over to the marigold and picked a few stalks.*
*Fire examined the cat's wounds.* there are some rat bites. Marigold won't work for these. I learned that the hard way. What we need is burdock root.

"Ahh, I see. The herb that stops infection too, but from bites of a rat they help with most? Oh yes, silly me. I suppose my head's not working right today... But the marigold will help with the wounds that branches made when I was running." Windy suggested, wincing as she lifted a paw but trying not to show her evident pain.

*Claw looked at the cat*
*Fire smirked* it happens to everyone. *she started treating the cat's wounds.* I'm Fire. And that's my brother, Claw

"Y...Yeah. Hi Fire and hello Claw." Windy greeted them with an uncertain gaze as she got up.

*Fire sighed* we won't hurt you, you know that right?
*Claw smirked* we don't hurt wounded cats at all.

Nettlefang slid down to a lower branch so she could watch easily.

Thrush felt a purr rumble in his chest at the she-cat's words. "You may have more - interesting - ways of making friends, but you really aren't half-bad at putting in the effort in to make them work," he told her. "You've can count me as one, if nothing else. And - he paused, meeting her gaze - "I'm sorry you don't know your mom. It's hard not to remember much about her, but sometimes it's better to remember someone from a distance; you only remember the best parts of them, then." He rose to his paws, opening his jaws in a yawn. "Do you want to coming hunting with me, Hearts?" he said, playfully flicking her ear with his tail-tip. "I'd love the company. It gets a little lonely out here by myself, you know."

Hearts brightened up and her bright green eyes seemed to light up. Her pale gray fur ruffled as she stood and the heart on her chest moved with it, almost looking like it was beating. "I would love too!" Then she stopped herself. "But I don't know how."

"I know you won't.... Well, I didn't know that earlier so I was a tad bit skittish. But my wounds are healing up nicely and I thank you for your help. Maybe I should get going? After all, I am a loner." Windy insisted with a respectful dip of her head. "I'm in your debt." She added before turning around once more and padding away into the distance.
Ross immediately jumped down from the tree he was in, deciding to impose on them and say what he wanted to. He cleared his throat with a rumbling noise. "You were all on my land." The tom growled with a shake of his bushy head.

Nettle dug her claws into the branch, surprised by the sudden appearance of another cat. Perhaps she should help out, or leave? Apparently she was on another cat's territory.

"Well, if you haven't been around here much that explains it. I own from here to the stream a little ways north of here, not too far away. I hunt on this land and will fight for it." Ross warned, unsheathing his claws in a flourish.

Hold on *Claw said* no need to ruffle your fur over a simple mistake. We'll leave now. *Claw turned around and so did Fire and walked away*

"It's settled then." Ross concluded with a sharp nod, sniffing the air and seeing if there were any other cats in vincinity. He saw a flash of fur in a tree and narrowed his eyes. "Anyone there?" He asked.

Nettle shrugged, she guessed the cat would noticed her. She leaped down from the tree, tackling Ross to the ground before jumping away, her claws were unsheathed and Nettle had a smug look across her face. "Sorry, just needed something to soften my landing."

Ross narrowed his eyes, feeling thankful that his thick pelt protected him against her needle-sharp claws. Grunting and shaking the she-cat off easily, he took a battle stance. "Yeah, I can see that. So who are you?" He asked gruffly, getting ready for a sudden attack ar any moment and making sure his gaze didn't waver.

*Claw and Fire sighed as they walked away from the cat's territory. Claw growled under his breath* we should have fought him. Foul tempered mousebrain. *they kept walking.*

"I won't answer that until you tell me who you are, this is apparently 'your' territory after all," Nettle flicked the tip her spiky tail sarcastically. She could tell by just looking into the cats eyes that he was not happy.

*Fire muttered under breath* of course you want to fight him
*Claw growled* if he doesn't start marking his territory, we'll never know whether or not it's his territory.

"I'm Ross. I don't understand why you need to know my name because you'll probably never see me again anyways." Ross grumbled, lowering his gaze for a mere second before snapping it back up again to look at the cat. "Who are you?" He growled, raking his claws across the ground and still keeping his defensive stance.

Nettle rolled her eyes, "So intimidating," She responded sarcastically, "I'm Nettle." She bristled her light grey fur, "What are you suggesting, driving me out? No one said it was your territory so I could just take it for myself if i wanted to."

"I said it was my territory and I did put up scent marks where most cats come, but for some reason the unpopulated parts of the woods have been, how do I say it.... Popular now. I suppose Il try and mark my scent better next time. And yes, I will drive you out." Ross put it simply, tossing his head back and letting a smug look slip on his face. "Listen.. You can use everything down there." He gestured to the east. "But over there," He gestured to the north, "Is mine. Okay?"

Nettle sighed, "And you listen too, I'm not going to move unless you put up a decent fight, but whatever. I'm not in the mood right now for a lame fight," She flicked her tail, "And don't think you can just get away with telling other cats where they can or cannot be, there will be some that will break the 'rules'."

"I get that. Don't think I'm dumb. I worked hard to get this, I hunted on this land, I picked herbs on it. You can move along, so there will be no trouble. Just a few mouse-lengths away from here is not my territory, you are free to go on it. I don't want a fight either, no matter how my body is urging me to. I just want things to be peaceful, so please move along and we'll be fine." Ross put out the best speech he could. Honestly, a fight was not what he was looking for. This cat could pass through, he was fine with it. He didn't see why she had to be so horribly stubborn.

*Claw and Fire kept walking.* what do we even need territories for anyway? There's plenty of prey for everyone.

The muscular tom brightened at her excitement. "I'll have to show you how to, then," Thrush told the she-cat, beckoning her to watch him as he motioned to a leaf on the forest floor a few tail-lengths away. Thrush bent himself into the hunter's crouch he had practiced since he was a young apprentice, his haunches bunched as he crept towards the leaf on silent paws. His muscles tensed before he pounced on the leaf, sure-footed as ever. "Now I know that looks a little complicated, but I'm sure you can learn it," he mewed, approaching the she-cat. Can you show me your crouch?"

Hearts looked at him in amazement and then nodded. Fir some reason, as she crouched down she felt that instinct took over and her body naturally went into position, her paws and legs pulled in, her tail still behind her, her ears pricked to catch any sound and her paws feeling like feathers as to not break any branches.
(She wasn't taken from her mother. Her mother was a clan cat who felt that she wasn't safe so took her to the two-leg place. She should have a few things wrong with her crouch though)

Thrush was surprised at how quickly the pretty she-cat caught onto the crouch. "Not bad," he purred, then gingerly nosed her tail off the forest floor. "You'll need to keep this up a little higher so you don't disturb any leaves when you move." He glanced at her front paws and gave them a nudge, too. "Keep them a little more square to your chest; you'll get more power in your pounce that way. But seriously, where did you learn to do that? It seems so... instinctive... to you."
