Shattered Sky is overall great but be warned SPOILERS AHEAD!
Windclan
What I'm looking forward too is a new Windclan leader, Harestar who doesn't have bees for brains. Although in the new book it explains why he changed rather drastically during the new prophecy to omen of the stars but that doesn't cover up some of the mistakes he did. I'm also wondering about the new deputy.
Skyclan
Next on my list are the new kits that are coming into the world of the clans, a whole new clan, a new medicine cat, and the offer Hawking made to his kits Twigpaw and Violetpaw.
Shadowclan
I'm finally glad they managed to get their clan together though Rowanstar is more reasonable this time around. During the whole escaping from the Kin also known as a bunch of rouges, Needletail dies which disappoints me since I thought she would be sticking around longer than three books. Also, Sleekwhisker showed way too much loyalty towards Darktail presenting the question of would she lead the new and possibly reformed group of kin and possibly had Darktail's secret kits? From what I have read so far it would make sense due to how Darktail was indeed the secret son of Onestar. Plus, Oakfur and Ratscar are cool again by backing up Violetpaw when she was in a tight spot.
Riverclan
Riverclan doesn't get much spotlight other than the pity of their fellow clans as they slowly rebuild and clean up after Darktail's rouges messed it up with garbage and wasted pray. Riverclan warriors seem to be pretty chill though with the situation that could have possibly ended the clans entirely.
Thunderclan
As usual I'm tired of having thunderclan being the most important at times but they have possibly more likable characters and Alderheart's pov is really interesting since we get to see visions and him being a diplomat between the battles and arguments of Kin and the clans. I'm glad Twigpaw was brave enough to travel all on her own to find Skyclan since I was getting bored of hearing "Get rid of the rouges!" "What's wrong with Windclan?" "We probably aren't going to win against them." whenever the topic of Skyclan and Darktail came up in a conversation. Not to mention how much of a surprise readers get when we finally see Twigpaw alive after getting hit by a monster, going through twoleg place, and having an encounter with a mysterious gray cat from starclan (Maybe Skystar?) who needs to up their motivating skills, the least you can do is give her directions or be nice, she nearly died a few times just to go to skyclan and say, "Hey, I may have skyclan blood in me and that's my only goal to see if I have family besides Violetplaw. Firestar would have wanted to say hello!"
Seeing how stuff went down I propose the theory of Darktail being alive. Also, I might as well just spill some of the spoilers out already. Needletail is dead, Onestar is dead, Purdy is dead, Pinenose is dead, Rain is dead, Max is dead, Foxnose is dead, Heronwing is dead, Frecklewish is dead. Yeah, this book did surprise me with the number of cats that died in the book. Possible deaths could be Dawnpelt who is never seen again.
