Mali is one of my favourite characters, and I'd love for them to appear more than they do, but I can't quite justify it story-telling wise. But rest assured - there will be much sarcasm in chapter one and some epic kickass battle scenes in chapter six.
AHAHAHAHAHA THE CURSE OF BEING A STORYTELLER. There's so much I want to write, but it's like no, you haven't even gotten through chapter one yet.
Also help me decide - should the comic be in black and white or colour?

They will be epic. And the battle scenes will be even more so.
Maybe one day I'll get around to doing a prequel-style spinoff and can encompass all the adolescent adventures of our protagonists.
*sigh* It should be a really easy decision, but it's not. I've decided to switch to traditional drawing, since I suck at digital and don't have the time to really learn how to use the software properly, so the new pages will be drawn in pencil, and will be inked with actual ink rather than markers. If I decide to colour, the colour will be added digitally through photoshop once the pages have been scanned. Look, I might draw a mock page tonight and see how both mediums look once scanned and make a decision then.

I love battle scenes. They're a pain to draw sometimes, but they come out looking soooo good!
XD
Y'know, I think I'm going to sick to black and white, maybe with a spot colour type thing. I gotta play to my strengths, and my digital colouring sucks. Plus I remembered that I have these gorgeous pastel charcoal pencils that could look quite nice... But I started drawing the first page yesterday, so once it's drawn and inked I'll play around with colouring and see!

It is, honestly.
Thanks! I'll probably post an in-progress shot to my sketch dump later today c: And they're so nice. Probably one of my favourite art supplies, tbh

Started reading again. I forgot what chapter I was on and ended up rereading most of chapter 2 and all of 3 before I realized that it sounded a little familiar. XD I clearly needed a reread anyway.

Dingoleap - tag me when you're done! i'd love to see it. ~Sapphire~ - yeah, colleges tend to be more likely to offer ancient greek than high schools. but still!! c: greek can be fun, if a little (a lot) tough, but if you've got some latin under your belt, the grammar concepts will at least generally feel familiar. and if you ever wanna chat classics... [wiggles eyebrows] i haven't taken most of the history courses yet but man do i love the language. mintedstar/fur🦇 - haha, good luck catching up! and hey, a reread never hurts (i sometimes reread this all for kicks tbh)

I think most Classics courses in the UK offer ancient Greek, so hopefully cx. That's... reassuring? Honestly its the alphabet that scares me the most. I'm revising half a Cicero speech over Easter. Classics chat is always good.

Yeah, I've only got ten chapters to read. For me, that can go in a day If I wasn't also RPing most of that day. Oops.

My handwriting's already kind of scrawly, so no big difference. But it gets easier to understand, right? That would be good to see.
And no, Pro Milone. It's kind of strange.

That's good. And thanks! (This count as pestering?)
It's one of the last Cicero made before the civil war, when he's defending his friend from a charge of murdering his enemy. And it's strange because he starts contradicting himself halfway through, and he also tries to argue that the gods wanted the murder to happen.

Take your time! cx
No, he didn't. Which is unsurprising, I guess, given the speech.

cx There's a lot of politics involved (more than usual, even) so that's possibly also why he lost. But mostly the fact that his argument doesn't make sense.
I voted for Thrushpaw :3

Ugh, yes. The reason why I prefer Roman politics to current.
Seriously, Thrushpaw's such a sweet little trooper though.

Yes, let's not.
Almost! *glares* I suppose this is the closest to regret you're likely to see an author.
