Idk why this idea came to me but I was just sitting here and all of a sudden I was like "AIR CREW."
I'm not sure if this is a really boring idea or a really exciting idea?? Like there could be romance and adventure and basically the plot would just be about a really close group of people travelling the world together and dealing with all kinds of passengers like on a ship but a plane

(Tbh if we're doing an airship plot I think I have an idea.
Character A is a revolutionary from nondescript made up country working aboard B's airship to send money back home. No one else aboard the ship knows who they are—until B catches them smuggling refugees/supplies. Fortunately B is sympathetic to the cause and agrees to let them keep doing what they're doing, so long as they both agree that he knows nothing. Enter character C, a loyalist, who waits until the right moment to expose A and B. Characters can be added wherever necessary.)

(Cool. I'm thinking maybe A meets B in the cargo hold for inventory and discovers the stowaway/cargo?)
It had been a long four days chasing the sun over the western ocean. They seemed to stretch by a few minutes with every time zone the airship crossed, and the captain couldn't wait to turn their back to the light and head east. First they had to stop at Sol, a remote settlement in the middle of the ocean, to pick up some important passengers. It hadn't been on the schedule, and with the headwind they were running slightly behind, but they were the nearest airship to the island.
About a half hour after departing their jumping-off point to pick up cargo, three thousand kilometres from Sol, the captain, minus his first officer, went down to the hold. He didn't like being alone on the ship and at the same time he did. There was never time to think on the bridge, people throwing questions at him left and right, but he usually didn't mind. He was sociable and, to tell the truth, answering all those queries made him feel important. Inventory, on the other hand, did not. Today they were short of officers to handle the intake of cargo—another reason the captain was sick of this voyage.

(Whatever you want. They can be first officer, a cabin boy, navigator, wireless officer, lookout, waiter, anything.
Btw, I forgot to ask whether you prefer forms or describing through role play? I'm good with either.)

(Ugh, yeah. They have their pros and cons. :/ That's why I usually don't bother.
They could be chef/engineer/musician too. idk there are probably millions of things I'm not thinking of, lol.)

Helmsman/pilot is in charge of steering the ship, but the navigator tells him what his heading should be. Usually measured in degrees, 0-360, and are radial-based. 360 is north, 180 is south, and so on and so fourth. Basically the pilot/helmsman will do anything the navigator tells him to do. They're really the people in charge. So if the navigator said "track 180" the pilot would steer the ship directly south.)
