I agree with the rules you have come up with, and I think it's a good idea to have the secondary leader make events and also role-play our characters if we're not on. As for the activity, maybe 5-4 for staff and 4-3 for members?
Also -huggles- that sucks you had a headache and you were dizzy ;-;

Thanks. I'm hoping that with the aim of this being a group role-play at first, we won't really have to worry about inactive members, so the day thing won't really be needed, but you never know.

Yeah, the only main issue with getting people is that with more options, we won't have such a condensed crowd. I'm not really expecting everyone who helps to join every Clan.

On activity, yeah, more 'important' people, not to be rude, should probably be required to be on more often than others. After all, the people who run the clans kind of have to keep it updated. Can't do that if you're on once a week However, I also think that being on X days per week can be a bit...not as you want it - people will just pop in to say 'hi' (which I kinda hate). Honestly, I feel that if someone can be on for a few hours even only three days a week, that would be fine. But, of course, this is very circumstantial as it would depend on activity of others. Either way, at least make it so that 'hello' is not an acceptable post for the X day a week rule. Pretty please? Literacy - I love writing. I'll waffle on, unfortunately, because I get so engrossed in describing everything as I already have trouble putting thoughts into words, so it's helpful c: For clan life, I'd like to point out that no one seems to have their medicine cat give their apprentice basic warrior training. At least, not that I've seen. Depending on time flow (whether one irl day = one in RP day, or the day goes until it's decided that everything necessary has been done) perhaps pre-organising of a schedule for the day? It might give others a little nudge because they know *this* has to happen, otherwise no progression. Kitting should probably be plotted depending on how the kits are 'coming'. I've done early-birth kits before (and decided that they should all die because they were weak) when no one was expecting it, because it was something 'unheard of'. Maybe some basic communication between parties involved, because your example of kitting can be spontaneous sometimes, and can catch you off guard. Things like an attempted murder on another cat should definitely be planned, because it's just plain rude to end up having Rainbowsparkleclaw kill your character in one hit, or just without your knowledge. I'm pretty lax with events like that, because I'm prepared for most of my characters to die if they need to. As for the personality for the position, I agree there. I've seen plenty of 'this cat has a military-like disposition and is very organised, always takes care of this and that and whatever'. I think maybe close off the deputy position, and pick from a random warrior when it comes to it. Or NPC deputies are always a thing - kill them off/retire them when a suitable cat comes along. Deputies also should probably not be like, 20 moons old. Personally, I see it as more of a 'senior warrior' rank, so around 40~ish moons at least. But then again, no one seems to like old cats Brackenfur and Dustpelt for lifeShould also bring up that not all medicine cats need to be sickly sweet and gentle - they are not required to be pacifists. Yellowfang, Hawkheart, even Jayfeather. They're not exactly the kindest all the time, but they do the job. 'Outcasts'/jerkfaces/whatever should also be brought up. If a cat cannot and will not co-operate with anyone, then it's highly likely they should not be in a clan as it revolves around teamwork. Frankly, 'no one likes him' or 'all kits love her stories' should be decided by other users and not be included in the personality traits. Not all cats hate the 'poor kit who lost both his parents', or like the 'sickly sweet naive she-cat who's superduper friendly'. Rambling again, so I'll move on. Oh, and apprentices that get away with all sorts of mischief - their mentors are doing a bad job if that's so Moving on now, finally. Oh, yes, Moonpool visits. Definitely. I loved that concept, as I thought of it as a sort of 'rite of passage' by StarClan. Maybe three training sessions of both hunting and fighting each? The leader deciding the name is a good point too - sometimes people suggest names that don't exactly suit the character (I'm a stickler for traditional naming, though I do stray sometimes because something sounds nice. Try not to though). Plus everyone wants the 'cool and unique' -storm prefix. Or at least, I've noticed. I love looking at characters and deciding ideal names for them. Of course, the suggestion would be taken into account, but a gentle cat shouldn't really be called Honeystorm I have no problems with certain people taking over my characters, as long as I'm confident they'll be portrayed properly. Oh my god realism. I love genetics and I often stick quite strictly to genetics. Even if it is a fantasy series, I still love being as accurate as possible to real life c: Must say I strongly dislike the idea of a dead mate, because people tend to use that just so they can have a queen. Maybe if it's arranged, the queen simply doesn't reveal who the father is (like the original series)? I think having two cats mated with each other should probably be reserved for elders. It's really quite adorable to see some interaction between two cats who can't have kits anymore. I like the idea of elder mates, as they can't decide to just suddenly have kits, which I think is possibly what some people fuss about. Maybe rather than everytime an apprentice is made, a warrior be made, have it the other way around? Don't include leader and deputy, but as long as there is a free warrior, an apprentice may be created. Up to a limit, of course, which ten seems perfectly acceptable for a roleplay. This ensures that there are enough warriors for apprentices, as leaders at least are typically shown as not taking an apprentice. Having deputy with leader means there's at least two back ups just in case c: Would also like to see more leaders leaving camp - nine lives for a reason! And absolutely with you on LGBT+ cats, though I am kind of iffy on the idea of cats identifying as different genders. It just doesn't seem right to me, not that I'm against it. I know that they're pretty intellectually advanced, but it still just seems off. I love me some gay kitties though c: Especially the leader, because almost everyone wants to be the leader's mate so they have a status within the clan That RiverClan and WindClan banners are absolutely gorgeous - my favourites <3 I just like the 'feel' of them. The others are great too, of course, those two just stuck out to me.

Oh, I totally forgot about that! Greeting posts or "here" posts aggravate me so much. I'm good with that. I'm the same in a way. I'll have have really good to decent posts or posts where it takes me forever to get it out because I have no muse. That's a good observation. I know medicine cats don't really learn to hunt, but would it hurt having them learn how to as well? If we're going with six sessions in total, we can split it up by stating the medicine cat apprentice must learn how to fight, hunt, and the basics of herbs. We could be more lenient on the total of session for them due to gaining experience and knowledge after battles and such. Could you give an example by what you mean? I'm a but confused, but I like the idea. Assuming what you're not meaning is patrols, we can also have the patrols for the week set up in the news section. Thinking about this now, I feel like this is what you're meaning. Also, would you be opposed to the person who owns the deputy creating the list of patrols instead of it being staff? So should we adjust the rule to having stating that as long as there are no major events, a queen may kit early if the person wants? What about wildfires and storms? Speaking of such, should we have a probability thing somewhere on the page for severe weather to entice members to create some drama? When it comes to battles and outbreaks of sickness, I created these things I call Chance Charts (feel free to come up with a better name). I have one for kitting and mutations as well. That way people won't have cats getting off Scott-free. I always take both leader and deputy positions until I find someone unless I can trust someone from the page. As for the age, the lowest I would ever go for a young leader or deputy is 36 moons. I remember there was a discussion about how old Firestar was when he became deputy and then leader and I think it was around that. Brackenfur for deputy. I'm also weird and don't consider a cat "senior" until they reach about 56 moons. But hey, we can totally work on ages as well. As for the outcasts and mismatched cats, I agree those should be cut out. The stereotypes certainly won't help, either. Now for apprentices getting into mischief, I oddly see that being an interesting side plot where the mentor loses their apprentice. I love looking at possible names. I do get a bit "out there" I guess, but nothing like Frecklewish or Snowbush. (An example of a few names are Hazelfern and Foxchaser.) As long as there is a reason other than "it sounds cool" for every name, I'm good. My best suggestion about using another's character is to use them as little as possible so the character isn't butchered. I will admit, I'm not the best with genetics at all and if confuses me with trying to figure them out, so I use a generator thing. It's for Persians, but I can't find anything for in general. I can link it if you'd like? Now would the missing father be in the case of the mate being dead or..? I'm just not a huge fan of a random queen showing up with no ties to anyone. For the mates and elders, you mean with the same person owning them, correct? The switch is actually a better idea and it wouldn't indirectly cause an issue with someone having the leader as their mentor. If we do the patrols idea, I think the leader should be included in some to help combat the stereotype of the leader barely leaving camp. Active leaders are the best and it would be nice to have them take a backseat for a patrol or two. Maybe we could have agender and trans cats? I know there are several genders and such, but at the same time, I don't want to offend anyone. This forum is very touchy on the subject in general. I noticed it is the male leaders that get all the mates and love. I have yet to see someone have their cat crush on a female leader without the owner of the leader going: ROMANCE!
I'm glad you like them! Do you honestly like SkyClan's? I was worried about it because I haven't planned with you before and I want to make sure people are happy with my stuff. xD

It'd make sense to teach med. cats to hunt too, if they learn how to fight. Just on the offchance that something bad happens and they need all the paws they can get for hunting c: For warrior ceremonies (and med. cat ceremonies) the mentor would have to bring it up with the leader, of course. I suppose it'd then be up to the leader to decide whether an apprentice is ready to become a warrior or not, which would be the assessment? I'd love to see a failed assessment. I mostly meant patrols, though kittings could possibly be 'scheduled'. Like, the medicine cat would know 'Genericheart's kits are due soon, probably in the next quarter moon!' It'd also make sense for the deputy to organise the patrols, though the leader would be able to step in when it comes to patrol if they want something else done. Deputies are the ones who assign patrols, after all, and the leader usually takes that duty if the deputy isn't around. The schedule could also possibly include weather? Something along the lines of 'dark clouds on the horizon, look out for rain tomorrow!' or similar. Storm predictions, maybe? As a general rule, I think anything major, such as a badger/fox attack, or a fire, should be run by the leader at least. I've seen plenty RPs where the thread owner and/or leader has no clue what's going on because have gone wild with events. Players controlling weather could be acceptable, provided it is in line with the 'forecast' - ie. heavy rain would result in a storm rather than ease up. I feel that a limit on kits might be a good thing to impose. Maybe limit a litter to three surviving kits max? In the case of an early litter, only one kit would survive at most. Just a suggestion though, so there's not a hundred million kits running around. I might take both leader and deputy too until a good cat shows itself. And not be shoehorning its perfect deputy personality into the RP. I personally like my leaders to be around the 50ish moon mark at the earliest. It just seems more likely that an experienced warrior would make a better leader than a new warrior 18 moon old leaders are ridiculous, and I've seen 16 moon old leaders (despite the whole 'must be 18 moons to be deputy' in the Warrior Code). Brackenfur2017I put 'senior' at about 4-5 years old, though that doesn't seem quite so accurate with the newer series Mistystar. I can see the mentor losing a cheeky apprentice as a nice sideplot too, though it'd have to be limited. Don't want everyone and their dog having an apprentice getting away with insulting an elder I personally adore names with the suffix -frost. Hazelfern sounds pretty c: I think the most 'out there' I've been was Silentwind (absolutely loved her character). I've probably had 'worse', though it escapes me now. Maybe Skyrunner could qualify. He was cool. Nah, I'm pretty good at genetics. Favourite thing about biology in school. I'm pretty good at it, though this chart is a pretty good starting point. I was thinking more of the missing father not being identified. I don't like the mateless queen either - overused trope just to have kits. It'd still require some sort of agreement between the father and mother, though he wouldn't be revealed. The kits'd still have a father, just not know who he is. Yep, elders and mates by the same person is correct. I see no harm in elder mates being owned by the same user, since it won't really 'go' anywhere. Plus, any kits they had actually have parents and it makes interesting dynamics. Leaders that take an interest and get involved in clan life are best xD Leader should definitely be included in patrols, though they'd probably choose to take their own rather than have the deputy assign them one. Some might be happy to obey the deputy though, depends on the character. Though I find it iffy still, I have no problem with agender/trans cats. I find the topic confusing in real life anyway, because (and again, not meaning to offend anyone) if someone is biologically a guy, I'll call them a guy. Same for a girl. I'm just not good at remembering things, and it just confuses me. Again, no problem with it - one of my good friends is a male who identifies as female - but it just always confuses me because of the way I think. Gay male leader. Bam. Watch all the she-cats crumble as they realise Gaystar doesn't like any of them, and he just wants his best bro xD I have a dislike of romantic female leaders. I can't explain why, but I just do. The same applies for a male leader, though I see the whole ROMANCE thing more with females. People seems to want a leader to have kits? I see the ideal female leader as somewhat similar to Leopardstar - she showed no open interest in relationships, though perhaps that vision just reflects myself xP In my experience, female leaders seem to get more harassment and more public proclaimations of love than male leaders. Or I've just had bad experiences xD SkyClan's is very pretty too. The angles of the eyes on the cat, which are a bit lopsided - one is higher than the other - bothers me a bit because of asymmetry or whatever, but it's certainly well-done :3 Oh, I think crushes/relationship status should also be mentioned. I've seen some people don't like users joining with a character that already has a crush on another character. I think it's harmless, really. Though it should be mentioned at least that there should be decent relationship development, rather than 'hey be my mate' 'sure' 'I love you' 'let's have kits'. Which I have seen happen multiple times. Having characters already be mates when they join (different users, of course ) is also a good thing, because then the clan isn't strangely mateless, if you get what I mean?

I would, too. It would be interesting to see what would happen and such. I don't think anyone in the books has failed their assessment. I'm glad we were kinda on the same page! Hopefully Cyn will agree with everyone, she has a lot to reply to. Regarding the major random plots, I agree. And if the leader isn't on, they can always ask the head moderator or the secondary leader. Three does seem like the average, and I wouldn't be opposed to it completely, though I wouldn't mind seeing bigger litters on a very rare occasion. How it's set up is that a number is rolled and the two "parents" can only go to that maximum amount of kits. Then a dice is rolled in the case of a mutation or death, which is increased by another roll when the role-play is in leafbare. I'm still unsure about if I'll take leader or deputy. Chibi has helped me the past with previous projects and has been really supportive, so a small way to say thanks is (obviously) giving her a position. I go between 36-46 moons depending on the leader, some I just have aged up because I can't see them as a "younger" warrior. On the old forums, I saw a leader that was 13 moons. How in the world does that happen? I love the suffix -frost. It is one of my favorites. Thanks! He's one of my favorite OCs to use in groups like this because he just likes being a father figure. As for my worst name? Skywind. I was young and foolish and the character has been renamed, so we're good now. xD That could cause some interesting drama, especially if it turns out they are half-Clan. Speaking of forbidden relationships, I think we should restrict the number of those as well. I think three per Clan at a time or close to each other should be the max. Thoughts? That could cause some interesting drama, especially if it turns out they are half-Clan. Speaking of forbidden relationships, I think we should restrict the number of those as well. I think three per Clan at a time or close to each other should be the max. Thoughts? Yeah, though hopefully we won't get leaders that are suited for the plot and not the role-play. I know WindClan is kinda a bad guy in this towards SkyClan with RiverClan not being the best about it, either, but I don't see them being downright evil. I haven't done a gay leader yet, but then again, I didn't really get a chance on the old forums. I dislike leaders (and characters that are made specifically for it) who focus about romance. Yeah, it can maybe be a big part, but it shouldn't be 80% of their character. I think people want a female leader who has kits because of Leafstar and it not being explored save for her and Windstar. Around the time that happened was when I saw a boom of it. Leopardstar apparently was confirmed to have wanted kits, but it wasn't shown and it kinda caught me off guard when I discovered that. I don't really see her being a mother and while I'm not the biggest fan of her, I liked that she wasn't too focused on romance and kits. I'm not opposed to leaders having a mate and kits, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. A majority do it the wrong way. I'm glad you like it! ;3; I can't fix the eyes because it's just how the cat is. I get what you mean and I'm perfectly okay with that. Maybe we can have that in the form or something. I will probably have the majority of my cats open to that, but then again, I don't know who I'm going to use.

That was a lot of stuff to read XDD.
I agree with a lot of the things that have been brought up. Especially with the medicine cat apprentice training, I think that would be very interesting. I honestly don't mind romance with the leaders at all, and I'm actually thinking about making my leader pan or just lesbian. Haven't decided, but back to the topics XD. I like the rolling of the dice idea for the kits, seems like a really good idea. As well as scheduling at of these things is a good thing, keeps thing organized and keeps things from just popping out of the blue.
I was also thinking about the genders in the Clan. While we can't keep them equal, but at the same time, there shouldn't be a whole bunch of tom cats/she-cats around. So for two tom's or she-cats you make one of the opposite gender?

Hey, everyone! I am happy to see that there has been so much discussed! I am also in love with those banners, Rain!
Like Cinder, I am agreeing with a lot of the things I am seeing. In regards with the leader, I am on the same page with you. I know people typically want to have young cats, but the only way I see a young leader is due to a plot and of course that won’t happen all the time. Same goes with deputies. Now I will admit I have been guilty of making the “perfect leader or deputy” type cats. I am learning to branch out since well not every deputy or leader will make the ideal choice. If you truly wish to do that Rain, I would be honored and do my best to uphold whatever position I get!
All of the yes on the apprentice and medicine cat assignments. I wanted to have one of my cats fail a warrior assignment, but when I do I don’t want the reason to be “because shock value!” I would want it to help with their character development. Going back on topic, I could see a schedule being helpful. That or a list of guidelines that are required before an apprentice can become a warrior or medicine. I am also thinking that if a warrior is showing signs of failing to train their apprentice, that apprentice can have the option to be reassigned to another mentor. Your job as a mentor is to train, and I have seen too many times (yes, I have been guilty of this) where active mentors well don’t teach, and therefore sometimes I must ask what the point was. In regards to medicine cats, I am not sure, but I have seen active medicine cats never training their apprentices either. The one thing that makes me hesitate is well they are the only cat in the clan that knows how to heal so removing them from being an apprentice’s mentor would also affect the clan and be a bit extreme. At least with warriors, there are hopefully plenty to choose from.
Absolutely with you there on the LGBT+ cats, and I can understand the reason behind the genders.
The idea of scheduled patrols could work since it would help keep things in focus. Plus, cats do patrol at different times of the day so it would make sense. I also like the idea of a forecast with weather and of course summoning weather that is within reason with the forecast. I agree that major plots should be discussed beforehand. Don’t know if something would be considered major? Ask the staff.
I do like the idea of the kit dice roll. As Xylynx said, small litters would be ideal, but I could see larger litters being used on occasion like Rain mention. In regards to mateless queens, if we must have them as Xylynx said the missing father would probably be better. Maybe just maybe some of the “my mate died” could be passable if they asked, but we don’t need everyone singing the same song. Personally, I would prefer to see that trope being used because it happens in roleplay, so there was time to develop both cats. In regards with genetics, I am not an expert on genetics, but I do agree that we want realism. E.g. a tortoiseshell or calico tom is not only rare, but they can't have kits. However, I do feel that we shouldn't be so strict that we won't allow a black cat with blue eyes. Obviously, we don't want a ginger kit come out of two dark brown tabby cats.
Yes, I can understand the whole cats build for romance deal being annoying. I am probably more annoyed at myself because I have done this in the past. I am with you on the whole cat changes (without character development) to fit the need of their future lover. This includes OOC reasons. So, when we have romance, please allow the relationship to flow naturally and see if the cats have any chemistry. In regards with the relationships/crushes, I agree with both of what you were saying including allowing two people to join already as mates. I do agree on the restrictions with forbidden romances. I love me some forbidden romance and drama with half-clanners, but not everyone and their mother are going to be the product of such relationships (or be involved with those romances). However, this does lead me to this. What about people signing up with half-clanners or the whole “my cat used to be a kittypet, loner, rogue, etc. before joining the clan”? I have no problem with that, but I doubt that the clans will be recruiting outsiders all of the time and the whole signing up as an existing half-clanner could turn into a way to work around not having so many born through forbidden romance plots.
I think that is a good idea Cinder with genders. We don’t want to end up forcing people to make the opposite gender, but at the same time, we don’t want to have fifty billion toms running around and have like ten she-cats.
Hopefully, I got everything, but as I said I am loving what I am seeing, and I will see if I have any input to add.

It's mentioned in the first series that kittypets are not suited for clan life, and Rusty/Firepaw received less than desirable treatment. If someone does join with an ex-kittypet/loner/rogue, I feel that the negative treatment towards that cat should definitely be intensified. For example, Sandpaw didn't want to sleep near Firepaw because he 'stunk of kittypet' or something.
Not saying the user themselves should be bullied, but their ex-kittypet/rogue/loner character should definitely have a harder time than a clan-born cat.

Welcome back Cinder! Hey Maple! Rain will get to you soon. That would make sense. Obviously not every clan cat would give them a hard time, but in general outsiders are less than welcome in clans especially kittypets.

You're accepted, Maple! Welcome to the crew!
As for the outcasts and genders, I'm good with that. I also think that if the cat is below 18 moons, we should have one of the spots for the forbidden romances on a "cooldown." The cooldown can last for ten moons. I don't mind there being a slight difference in genders because even genders is a little unrealistic. I think the admins should be able to decide when they need more of a certain gender. Because each Clan will have different amounts of members knowing how things go. xD
I think we should limit the amount of non-Clan cats who join the Clans. Perhaps even have a few generations difference between them and there being a reason to why they are joining.
That moment when you accidentally used the wrong blue on the background of the RiverClan banner.. Good job me.

*cracks knuckles* NOW I can sit down and reply properly c: I feel that those 'smart-alec' apprentices would probably be failed by the leader for their attitude towards everything. And those apprentices who never listen - no matter how well you hunt or fight, you're not good unless you can work as a unit with the rest of the clan Leader should probably have final say on whether an apprentice passes or not, though there should be a chance to dispute this if his/her choice is deemed unfair. Oh, and medicine cats should do more than 'sort herbs' which I've seen far too much of. Sure, it creates a good reason for a learning experience, but sorting herbs isn't the only way A simple tour to refresh herb locations would be just as good. I believe the first litter of kits is typically the smallest, though the queen is also inexperienced. 3-5 kits is the average I think, though taking into account the fact that they are wild cats, the lower end of the average seems more applicable. I'd love to see a queen abandon her first litter because she just can't take care of them. Of course, there'd have to be good reasoning behind it I'll probably be taking both leader and deputy because I'm somewhat new to this forum, so I don't really *know* anyone all that well. Plus I'm not a very trusting person, so eh. 13 moon old leader? Good god. I try and have my leaders around 50 moons at least, though sometimes I come up with an idea I really like that involves a young leader (one plot I had going offsite was that the leader of the clan chose his 20 moon old daughter as deputy so his lineage could continue or something. Worked great as I played her as absolutely lacking all confidence in decisions, and she'd often pass off all duties to her deputy, who was thankfully at least twice her age) I've seen Shadownight. Which is basically Darkdark if you think about it. Skywind. Skysky xD I've seen names that cats wouldn't even know of, like Angelfeather, Satanstar (yes, genuine character I've seen), Dreamheart (they were a medicine cat too, oh, the coincidence /sarcasm) YES. Limit cross-clan relationships, because everyone wants one and to milk it for all its worth. Ugh. Personally, I think a leader falling for another cat, possibly even another leader, could make an interesting plot device. Again, I've used that concept in another RP, gonna use names to limit confusion. Blazestar (male) fell in love with Hailstar (female), though Hailstar rejected him because she flat out didn't love him. Blazestar took this to heart and began performing raids on Hailstar's nursery, killing the kits if he could, and trying to eliminate any younger apprentices. His reasoning was that if her clan didn't have any young cats to train, she'd have to accept him as a mate so she could produce kits for her clan. He kinda went insane a bit, but he certainly got his dues, ending up in the Dark Forest. It was fun c: I think only one or two forbidden relationships, though that would depend on the leader. Genericstar might be more forgiving of his clanmates than Namestar. Excessive ex-outsiders within clans would probably be limited to SkyClan (not to toot my horn because I love SkyClan), because they've had plenty of evidence of recruiting non-clan cats to swell their ranks. Of course, with SkyClan joining the other four, their acceptance of outsiders would probably start decreasing as they try to fit in with the others. Wind and River shouldn't be evil, they'd just put it down to looking out for the best interests of their own clans, which would explain hostility to SkyClan. Especially if it comes up that SkyClan was forced out in the past, some clans would probably try it again because it was good enough for their ancestors. I like gay leaders because it seems to throw people off xD While a female leader with kits would be an interesting subplot thing, it definitely should not take centre stage - the clan comes before any individual, which is why Bluestar gave her kits up I heard about Leopardstar wanting kits too. I like that it didn't show in her character though, which I think is a good thing. Again, the clan should come before kits, as mean as it sounds. Leopardstar did what she thought was best for her clan, as do all cats. Silly wonky eyes xD For gender counts, I like to keep a score of how many of each gender there are. This way it's easily accessible as to whether more toms should be made, or more she-cats.
