not in the literal sense, but in the philosophical sense i suppose.
what drives you to exist?

my most general goals that drive my existence are a desire to succeed in a technical field and also to become a leader for people in whatever career i hopefully get a job in

I'm still alive because I was too scared to do myself in 3 years ago fear of death is very compelling to keep one alive. I don't have much drive in my life.

I'm alive because I'm afraid of dying Like, I haven't done anything on purpose in an attempt to kill myself, but my fear of dying has made me cautious in life and prevented me from doing a lot of things that would have most likely resulted in my death

ambition. every time I consider dying I realise that I can't die until I've achieved more than I ever could.

I don't know to be honest
I guess I'm too scared to die, but I also enjoy life. I know it's sucky right now, but hey, it could ALWAYS be worse. And when you've hit rock bottom, the only way you can go is up.

i think everyone's purpose is different
on my bad days i go on living for reasons like fear of death, worry of putting my loved ones in pain, etc
but overall i keep living because there are things i haven't done... and because i want to give back the joy and blessings to the people and places from which mine have come, and i want to create things, and i want to be like those who i admire.
sometimes it's silly things, really, like-- if i was dead, i couldn't ever have another plate of nachos, or watch an episode of my favorite series, or draw a creature i think looks cool (which doesn't work for everyone, but as i don't have any knowledge or particular belief regarding what we can do after we die, i'm not certain if i could ever do those good things again)

And to just prove to everyone that I can, pretty much.

If I die there'll be no one to properly take care of my dog
I'm sure they'd keep him but I'm the only one who provides him with the social interaction he needs

I guess it varies at times for me?
Right now it's this one guy from work that I'm pretty sure is very interested in me, like he's been hitting on me and he keeps complimenting me and he bought me a bottle of water without me having to ask when I went out to push carts today
Honestly he's just so kind to me and the fact that he even notices me at all boosts my self esteem quite a bit))

you work on fixing your personal pain and bettering and educating yourself, then you take that and try to help fix others' pain, better their lives, and spread your knowledge.
Personally I want to understand international affairs and be a part of helping better unite the globe, but I mean, everyone's calling is worthwhile tbh
