Valkoinen watched Bakhola quietly, some caution in her eyes about allowing another so near her, even if she was just her little sister. She kept silent, deciding that complain of her sister's location would probably not convince her to climb back down. Still, it wasn't like she was harming anyone by perching upon the spike. "At least the smell does not stay. I'm sure the feather will regrow in time."
As the others bickered about the sparks, she considered Eloah's challenge. Could she make the sparks? She was careful to pick up the stones between her claws, though she found that to hold them as he had and strike them together without dropping them might not be possible for her. She cut a quick glance to the shape of his hands, trying to emulate the way he'd held them. In this, she had to put most of her weight on her other four limbs and balance her upper half. Without clacking the stones together, she let them drop and stood normally again. It was simply too much effort to mimic his action.

Bakhola looked down at her brother, torn. She was so curious to see what would happen and to watch it more closely, but she also wasn't in any mood to help Eloah with anything. As her sister began to shift under her, Bakhola unwound herself and climbed down to stay out of her way. She slid on her stomach for a foot or two, but the stone was rough against her stomach and unsuitable for such travel, though it certainly took pressure off of her feet. Moving over to her brother, she plucked another feather from her back and held it between two claws, "And why should I do such a thing? It is my feather after all and I might decide to keep it and use it for something else."

" what if something better happens to your feather? For all we know we could create something better and it could change the course of everything!" He exclaimed excitedly. He snatched the feather from her and went off a few feet with it. Picking up more rocks. Facing his siblings, he held the rocks close to the feather and struck them together.
The large spark hit the feather and began to eat away at it with an orange glow. It wasn't quite dense enough to cause a flame but it did expand the spark and it lasted about 30 seconds until all that remained of the long feather was the thick stem that attached to Bakhola's body. " Wow! That's amazing!"

Seeing the burning feather, Vuhasis unfurled its wings and quickly moved towards Eloah to better observe it. It could sense the energy, the heat and light that emanated from the feather, causing the orange glow. After thinking for a moment, it commented: "I may be able to recreate that." It braced itself for a second, building up its reserve, before releasing a flood of energy from its body. The air around it superheated and ignited, albeit quite briefly, causing a short but bright flash. Then the energy dissipated into the air, leaving Vuhasis rather winded.
"Alright, perhaps not. It requires more energy than I anticipated," the deity conceded, curling its wings around it again.
"Still quite a sight, both the feather and your flash," Osarus commented, legitimately impressed. He came over and looked more closely at the remains of the feather, interested in the orange glow. A creation that was not purely matter, but energy. How interesting.

She moved to grab it back, but couldn't quite reach it before he had set it alight. The glow was fascinating, to be sure, but that was her feather and he had just stolen it from her. Bakhola seethed quietly and turned away. Without a word to any of her siblings, she burrowed deeper into the earth and coiled up in a small burrow deep below the surface. How dare he take it from her claws without even waiting for permission! She would not forget this, that was certain.

Valkoinen watched the feather slowly burn away and fall apart, taking a cautious step back. She couldn't help but feel cautious. Though she couldn't feel the heat, she could sense the energy that the little spark consumed. This looked like a difficult thing, a dangerous gift if Eloah continued to toy with it and advance its capabilities. Maybe it would have its uses, but for now, she would avoid it. As the other conversed over the nature of light and shadow, and about their creations, she looked back toward the rocks she'd passed. It wasn't like they were going anywhere, but she wondered if they were the right stones, would they make bigger sparks when smacked together.

" if only we had something that would be eaten by this light even more. If a small feather can be consumed, imagine what something bigger could do." Yet there wasn't anything bigger were flammable to be consumed by the flame. He was so excited, eloah had never seen something like it, he lived for destruction and this both created energy and destroyed things at the same time. " I will just have to wait I guess, until something else is created."
This would be a small problem for all of them. Eloah would continue to test the spark on every new thing that was created, yearning to see it consume anything else. If the flame was to grow, he knew it would have to get bigger theoretically if whatever the spark landed on was bigger and flammable. " I will be patient until I can try it on more things."

Valkoinen considered his words a moment before taking the weight off one of her paws and reaching into her mane. She tangled her claw in the fur and pulled loose a tuft of hair. "It may not last long, but it shouldn't be too much different from the feather." She offered. She wasn't without her own motive. Whether or not the gesture would earn her favor, she could see the effect the strange light had on her own fur. She would know if she needed to be cautious of it or not.

Bakhola lay in her burrow, waiting for this feeling of anger to subside, but it did not. It sat in her chest, burning like the spark of Eloah's creation. She would not forget easily, not would she allow herself to be so easily mocked again. Standing, she turned her attention to the stone walls that surrounded her. She would create down here, away from her siblings. And she would guard her creations and foster them herself. She did not need them to judge what she had made. She would judge it for herself. All she needed was a little bit of room.
So Bakhola began to dig downwards once more. Each stroke of her claws through the earth brought her a little further from the surface, her father's light, and her siblings. The rough tunnels began to grow wider and deeper, forming caverns as she carved the earth with her claws and gathered the loose stone in the center of the largest chamber. Sitting, she tilted her head to the side to observe the pile of material that she now had to work with. Bakhola reached out and plucked one from the pile, turning the flat bit of rock over in her claws. It was cold, a sensation she had never quite known before. She could feel a slight numbness where it touched her and she leaned closer to examine it. Perhaps she could see what had caused this sensation. As her face drew close, her breath blew over the stone again and again. And while nothing seemed to be causing what she had felt before, she noticed a slight sheen that had not been present before. A smile formed as she observed what she had made, then she promptly swallowed the stone whole. This was hers and she had no intention of leaving anything for her siblings to find just yet.

Eloah looked at Valkoinen and then focused on the tuft of fur. " Will this... This spark consume all things or just feathers?" He asked. Laying the fur on the ground he selected two more rocks and struck them together before a spark landed on it. Doing the same thing as the feather, the spark spread throughout the hair, eating away to leave a small bit of charred black strands and an odor of burnt hair
" Fascinating." Eloah said in awe. He touched the remaining charred material that just crumbled to nothing under his touch. He sucked it up in his black hole like center, watching it disintegrate to nothing as it disappeared into his core. " Very... Fascinating. It doesn't affect me at all, just certain things."

"Then you must be careful with it Eloah. The spark can't be allowed to destroy all we have created without control." Tathu said, watching the burnt hair disappear. She knew that at this point the only things the spark could destroy were the coverings of her siblings, as all their other creations so far were very similar to the stone and didn't seem as though the would burn. But one day they would hopefully create things that would not be so safe.
"Attempt to burn the gemstone, the iron, or my own creations. We must see if they will burn." Tathu was pretty sure they wouldn't, but she wanted to know if they would all the same. Being sure was safer than assuming. Tathu pulled a piece of her marble and obsidian from the ground, offering the two materials to her brother.

Valkoinen was admittedly less than pleased to see the the spark affected her fur. But now she knew. Whatever that spark was, she and Bakhola were both affected. Well, there went her interested in that, she had her answer. Her gaze went to the mess of small stone and even finer stone. "What are these?" She asked, gesturing to the gravel and sand that had been created in her absence. She still had questions about these things, and whether they would be of use to her.
(hehehe hey amber. While Bakhola is salty, she should discover salt rock while she's tunneling XD)

Eloah did what was asked if him and tried to set the different types of stone ablaze. When nothing happened, he looked at Valkoinen " don't worry, I have noticed the farther the spark has to travel the weaker it is." He said. " I don't think you have anything to worry about."
He turned back to his other siblings. " Gravel and sand. It was created by us out of the stone that brother created."

"May I see it?" Valkoinen requested, walking over to the two materials. She waited to touch it though, not wishing to seem too eager or to anger the others. If it was as she thought, she might be able to fill the gaps in her den with this. Maybe if the materials were soft enough, she could line her bedding with it? She didn't have a trouble with sleeping on stone, but if she didn't have to, why should she?

" of course." They could make more, their was plenty of stone to make as much sand and gravel as they wanted. He picked up a palmful of sand with one hand, a handful of gravel with the other then held it out to his sibling.
" It's amazing how soft the sand is considering what its made out of" he said.

Valkoinen shifted her weight to her back two pairs of limbs, turning her front paws over to take the gravel from her brother. After feeling it, she returned what amount she could without dropping it and then took the sand. Both seemed useful. "Have you tried mixing the two? Perhaps these two creations might make another of their own?" She suggested. She considered the sand a moment before deciding it might be good to line at least part of her den with this. It would also help to hide her little hoard.

"The sand is very soft. I wonder if we could create softer things? There must be, if we can create all these other things from the stone." Tathu said, running one of her own hands through a pile of the sand. She smiled invisibly, then placed another hand on the bare stone beside her. What could she change to make it softer? It would be nice to have something softer, for when she became tired and decided to make a home for herself. Though that seemed far off to her, as all the new creations were enough to leave her bubbling with excitement at the future.

" I.. I haven't " he said and looked at her with an amused look in his eye. " I haven't tried mixing them, I don't know what would happen. You can try it." He said, " Im not one for creation. I like eliminating things." He chuckled slightly, his laugh turning his color to an even paler grey. He just thought it was funny how complete opposites he was with his siblings in terms of creation vs. destruction.
Turning to tathu, he let out a breath. " I don't know. Try applying pressure to the sand to see what it turns into." He suggested. " I don't know how to make sand softer."

So, quick question: once something has been made, does it begin to appear naturally in the world? For example, would Bakhola run into various gemstones while burrowing underground, even though nobody placed them there specifically?
pfft, yes. Salt for the Salty one)

(Hm. That's hard to say actually. But I don't think so. I think they would actually have to cause the world to change to create the objects naturally. For example, if they created water, they could allow the water to evaporate, spread, rain, and thus create bodies of water. But they would have to actually create all of that water, more wouldn't just suddenly appear simply because it had been invented.)

( I guess if they created sonething it could kick start the creation of more things. ( Rain cycle, plant cycle, ect) but they will have to make the things like tectonic plates and what not)

(mornin'. Let's see, how can I reinsert myself into the roleplay and kick things off a bit for the day.... also, I really like what progression has ALREADY happened with Bakhola. I can totally see her as being a deity who's generally considered a dark goddess by mortals, but she's not actually evil, she's just hungry, likes the dark, and is very annoyed with Eloah lol. Also I love the way it happened because I can totally see how that could be portrayed in a myth, like: "Eloah stole from Bakhola a feather, and with it created fire that awed their siblings. Bakhola was jealous, as it was her feather from which the fire was created, and vowed revenge on her brother." It just sounds very... mythy, idk.)
"Hm. Well, it seems that the smaller the pieces of stone are, the softer the whole becomes when the pieces are placed together," Osarus observed. "After all, the gravel gives more than stone, and the sand is soft. So perhaps if we make sand even smaller, it will be even softer." He scraped up a clawful of the sand and ground it between his claws, resulting in a fine powder.
(it's clay dust, but seeing as there's no water yet, it's not actual clay. Fertile soil is made of clay, sand, and decomposed organic matter so this is the first step in creating soil. I'm thinking perhaps one of the more organic gods [ie, probably not Osarus, since he's stone, or Vuhasis, since it's energy. Eloah wouldn't work either] could die & decompose, and thus create the organic matter. That mixes with the sand and clay, and then plants could begin to sprout from that. Unless one of you has a better idea for how that could happen. Of course, I wouldn't expect any of you to kill off your gods for the sake of that plot, so I could create another one. But also, as I said, this doesn't have to be entirely realistic, so there could very well be a better way to make soil occur, and subsequently plant life. Though, they would also need water first as well.)

(hehehehehe X3)
Valkoinen made a face as the sand was a reduced to the dust-like state. That might be a little too fine... But, still, whatever this was, someone would probably find use for it, and their world was still a bit more unique with the new addition. Her tail flicked a few times and she looked more closely at the sand and gravel that remained. She turned her gaze back to her siblings. "You just made these things from breaking the stone, right?" She asked. "We could make more easily?"

( I figured eloah could go off eventually after he was mad or something and start creating the universe. Not right now of course, but since he is similar to a black hole.)
( That does sound very myth like lol)
Eloah looked at his siblings and then turned back to look at the gravel and sand. He wanted some too create something else even though he loved destroying things. He thought it was really fascinating things could just change into something else with a little work or pressure. " what else could we create siblings? I want to try destroying something else with my light." He said rather excitedly.
His mind was swirling with ideas on what could be created or eliminated. Right now he figured nothing could be destroyed with his light, he knew that stone was too hard to be disintegrated like the feather and hair had been. It would take a while before something else came along that could entertain him with such an idea, hopefully it would come around sooner rather than later.

(XD glad you're enjoying her! That was kinda the thing I was going for with her, though she's a vengeful little god, so perhaps her future bad reputation isn't entirely unearned.
Water is going to be a touch tricky. Bakhola could work on it down in her cavern using condensation and the like, but that implies there's already water present in the air.)
Bakhola continued to burrow, though the caverns she had made were rather dull and monotonous compared to the light that shone on the surface. The stone was all gray and dark. If this was to be her home, it would need something more. And then she remembered gemstones and marble and obsidian and iron. The colors and patterns they had made would suit the caves well. So as she dug, she touched the stone around her. The paths made by her claws turned into narrow veins of iron, raw and untouched. Her feathers brushed the walls and the stone sparkled with uncut gems. And in the larger caves, she wove marble into the walls and floor to created striated patterns of stone. Bakhola carefully groomed the series of tunnels and caves, placing the various creations in new spots and clawing away and eating what she disliked. After a while, she sat content in her tunnels, eyes gleaming as she looked over what she had done.

"At least you've got a plan, I suppose..." Valkoinen shrugged. She began moving quietly back from the group. She felt she'd been social enough for one day. For one week... Either way, she knew of the sand and gravel, and she could make more to make her home in the hill greater in size. She also knew of the sparking stones, and even if she couldn't use them herself, she could set them up to create traps for those unwelcome in her home. It wasn't like she could actually harm her siblings with it, just send the message that she didn't want anyone other than herself in her little burrow.
