hi everyone! the name's Viridian, but feel free to call me whatever you wish.
I, personally, am a huge fan of the television show Law and Order, and more specifically, its spin off, SVU (Special Victims Unit). as I was binge watching the show for basically the entire day today, a thought came to mind: what if there was some kind of roleplay based off that department of the NYPD? there would be plenty of drama and action, and possibly romance, to play around with, and if you're like me in any way, you find these types of cases riveting.
my only concern would be the nature of SVU cases might not be age appropriate, but, that doesn't have to be a part of the roleplay. we could simply deal with cases such as homicide, robbery, white collar crimes, etc., and keep sex crimes out. I'm equally as interested in that "cleaner" version.
so, who would be interested? this would be, preferably, an advanced small group setting, with no more than five or six semi-active members. (more details will be sorted out if people express interest--I don't want to waste my time planning something that nobody's interested in.)

aw, thanks for the support, you guys :) I really didn't think many people would buy into this idea, so thanks for expressing interest!
as far as structure/hierarchy goes, I don't see there being too many problems there. the top of the chain would obviously the the DA (district attorney), with the ADA right below him/her. back to the actual NYPD, the most senior detective, with a ranking based on seniority following. (I'm gonna give the rest of these detectives sort of niches to fill: ex, "good cop", "bad cop", "the intern", "the rookie", etc. if you guys can think of some more, please suggest some!)
the only thing I see being a constant problem is having crimes and criminals, and then witnesses, interviewers, medical examiners, and the rest. how would we decide who takes the criminal? and we've got a lot of serious brainstorming to do if the cases these people investigate cases as complex as the ones in the show.

sorry for my absence guys. I won't be very active in the future, either, so yeah.
I'm still a bit stuck on the whole case/witnesses/defendant/trial stuff. having roles for all those people and as well as the actual investigation itself would be extremely difficult and taxing. but, I dunno what to do about it all, really. is it even worth it to discuss a possible plot?
