{You better like it Ethan lol} Alice straightened up and pushed her food a ways away from her, sort of offering it to Erin. "I should probably make myself look more presentable then." She stood from her seat and pushed in her chair as far as it would go before heading up the stairs and to the room she was told she would be staying at. Before she shut the door though she poked her head out and called to Erin, "You can go ahead and eat what I didn't if you would like." She nodded before closing the door.

(He'll have to learn to live with it xD)
Erin nodded "take your time" he said as she left. He gave a polite nod and smiled as she offered the food. He was starved but didn't say anything about it. Just ate his food contently.
Ethan had a sort of smile on his face, clearly noticing how Erin secretly felt about Alice.
Erin did think of her as something else. Even though he had taken her he still thought she was a very nice person, considering their situation.
"You like her, don't you?" Ethan asked curiously
"Are you kidding me? I've not known her for over two days." Erin answered though his face went red. He had hoped they weren't speaking loud enough for Alice to hear, this would embarrass him a lot and he didn't want that.

Alice tried to finish getting ready quickly, and was pleasantly surprised to find that someone had indeed provided a few pairs of clothes for her to wear. At least someone was considerate enough to give her some clothes. She chose a dress, with thin layers, since she really didn't feel like wearing anything thicker than that. The dress she considered was actually quite flattering to her figure rather than design wise. It was simple, unlike most of the things she wore. Once she finished getting ready, she came back down the stairs, feeling more confident considering that she looked much more presentable than before. "I'm sorry if I kept you waiting." She apologized as she stood by the table in front of the brothers.

Ethan chose to ignore Alice, as they hadn't gotten along he didn't want to be around her. He hated Erin for making him be around her if he wanted to be with his brother.
Erin, on the other hand looked at her with a smile on his face "you look lovely" he complimented as he stood to put his plate by the sink. "Ethan, while we're gone wash the dishes." He said to his younger before making his way towards the exit, as he got there he held the door open for her and gestured for her to go first "after you" he said politely with a smile.
Ethan didn't want to do the dishes, so he sat eating his food slower than ever "don't have too much fun" he teased

Alice felt herself go a bit pink in the face at Ethan's comment, but it was hardly noticeable. She raised an eyebrow out of confusion and looked at Erin, "What is he talking about?" She asked. She had a feeling she knew, but wasn't sure if she was thinking about it too much. Which she had a tendency to do. Plus, if she was thinking the right thing, she wanted to see Erin's reaction. For what reason, she had no idea.

Erin had instantly went a bright shade of red once again. "I-I don't know" he stuttered. He knew what his younger had meant but he just chose to lose that thought. He also knew that Alice had figured what Ethan had meant but that didn't matter much to him. "We should get going" he said and gave an awkward smile. He may have looked happy but he was more planning how he could murder Ethan later for that comment.

Alice saw the shade of red Erin went, and wasn't sure if it was because he was embarrassed of the fact that he was being teased about being with her. She assumed it was that, he hardly knows her. He may just think she was pretty, and that was a nice thought. "Yeah probably. Was there somewhere specific you were taking me?" She asked curiously, he head tilted to the side a little. She didn't know this area at all

Erin was glad hearing she didn't insist on hearing what he though his brother had meant. His face went back to it's normal colour quickly. He brushed the long black hair out of his fave and looked over to her wih a smile "I have a few ideas on where we could go" he answered happily. He figured he'd take her to the river nearby, it was quite big but very calm throughout the year and the surrounding area was beautiful. He went there often and thought maybe she'd like it as much as he did

Alice suppressed a chuckle at his vague answer. "Well I figured, but where?" She pressed as she walked beside him. Though, she made sure there was a decent gap between the two of them. Mainly because it would make it awkward for the both of them if she walked any closer. Not that she wanted to, she liked her space, and she assumed Erin did too.

"You'll have to wait and see" Erin responded with a childish smile. He continued walking glad she kept a distance between them. "This way" he said as he took a path going through the forest towards a bridge that went to the other side of the community they were in. He stopped in the middle of the bridge and looked over the side "I kove this river, I practically grew up in it" he said with a smile spread across his face

Alice made sure to keep the same pace Erin was, it would be quite embarrassing if she fell behind. When she arrived at the river though, she had to find herself smiling at the scene. It was quite beautiful. The places in her country were often rolling hills, not many trees and the rivers or lakes were often calm, almost not moving. This was different though it moved, but not too swiftly, but just enough. The trees and flowers around the area made the area feel more alive. "It is quite beautiftul, it's not anything I would see where I...live." She was enthusiastic until she said 'live'. It just reminded her of where she was, and why. It wasn't a comforting thought.

Erin listened with a smile untile she reminded the two of them of their situation. He hadn't really thought of how she might have felt being kidnapped, but now that he did it hit him hard. But he couldn't let her leave, it would ruin his life along with his brothers and that's something she would have to put up with until the day she'd leave. Whenever that may be. "I'm so sorry" he said before leaning on the side of the bridge, looking away from her. "I'm sure you'll be gone soon, away from here and back home" he reassured with a nod.

Alice figured she killed the mood. But it wasn't her intention, it just sort of happened. It was the four letter word that made her think that way, anything that was similar to 'home' or 'live' or 'family' even she knew would put her in the same mood again. Erin wasn't helping either with his empty promises. Was she even supposed to go home at all? What if they wanted her dead, sold to slavery, or who knows what else. Alice took a deep breath to compose herself again, "maybe." She said simply, but it was obvious she didn't believe it. However she said no more on the matter, Erin wouldn't sympathize with her. He has no attachments to her. "But, yes, it's quite nice." She said quietly, but it was easy to tell she was focused on something else, the way her eyes glossed over and the way she bit her lip.

(Practice for me was cancelled so I'm back already)
Erin wasn't thinking of her at this point, he just wondered what it would be like to be in that situation. "It must be really hard for you, I'm sorry. I couldn't imagine not seeing my family and being stuck away from home." He said and looked over to her "I'm gonna try to make this as enjoyable as possible, however small the enjoyment may be I hope to help you with it" he said and looked at his feet. He did quite like her honestly, maybe a bit too much for their situation

{Sorry, had a JROTC meeting} Alice turned around to face Erin, as she had been leaning on the railing facing the other way. Her face was neither happy nor sad, it was just calm as it normally was as a default. She shook her head slowly, "You don't have to. You shouldn't be doing anything for me and vice versa." Alice hated the feel like the world revolved around her, while in her kingdom it practically did, she didn't always like it. Now was a good example, she didn't want people to go out of their way for her, it wasn't their job.

(No worries)
Erin nodded as he listened to her, he wouldn't do anything she didn't want him to. Honestly, he just wanted to be her friend more than anything, to him, she was actually actually a genuine person but the circumstances of how they had met weren't good. He wished it could have been different but that was with out a doubt the only way they'd ever meet. "We can go down closer to the river, id you'd like" he suggested quietly scared to say much more

{alright so my idea is:
When they get to the river, the mood will kind of pick up again back to something really lighthearted. Then, once they start to talk more or start teasing one another a little, Alice pushes Erin into the river and he drags her in with him because he wants to get her back. We can do a lot with thay from there. But it's up to you, idk if you want to do it or not}

Alice noticed how quiet he was, and was tempted to, but didn't ask why. She tried to merely focus on the question. "That sounds nice actually. How often do you come down here anyway?" She asked curiously. He said it was part of his childhood, she wanted to know how important it was to him. It would really show what kind of person Erin was. And if she could get him to talk more, it would also reveal if he was really a man with good intentions.

Hearing her want to go down there made Erin smile, he always loved to be there and when he did go to te river he'd always go down and sit there for awhile. It helped calm him and make him feel better. "Honestly, once every couple of days, it's my serenity spot." He said before getting off the railing "the path down is this way" he said and begun to walk "thank you for asking, that was very nice of you." He said politely as he walked. It made him happy knowing that they were being nicer to each other, he didn't want to have to take care of someone who hated him for every reason they could think of.

Alice followed after Erin towards where he said he wanted to go. She was about a step behind him, since she would most likely run into him if she walked beside him not knowing where to go. And walking in front of him would be just as embarrassing and rude. She raised her eyebrows out of surprise when he thanked her. "You don't have to thank me for something as simple as that Erin. I was only doing what I thought I should." She said with a simple shrug. Alice realized though that it was one of the few times she had called Erin by his name and not something else or implied she was speaking to him.

"I say thank you, because around here nobody generally cares about each other enough to worry about the littke things. Nobody is close enough to care you know? We're so busy trying to survive we tend to forget to care about each other and the things we like to do." Erin explained as he made his way down the steep trail to the river. He noticed her saying his name, which she hadn't before, and it made him happy in a weird way, it was less like she was a hostage and more like someone he had known for awhile. That was a nice feeling to him. As he arrived at the bottom of the trail he turned right and walked along the river a bit until they reached a sort of boulder along the side of the river, his normal spot to go to. He took a seat with his legs crossed and put a hand in the water, he seemed to tune out as he did this, clearly happy to be where he was.

They're life was obviously very different from her own when it came to possessions. However, she didn't realize how different it was when people interacted with one another. The way Erin describes it, to Alice, it makes it sound like everyone is concerned about her own wellbeing instead that of others. She said nothing on the subject though and instead changed the subject. "Well, I think you have good manners, which sorry of surprises me. But not so much as while you were capturing me, you were a gentleman even then and I honestly wasn't sure whether to be intimated or not." She confessed with a sheepish grin.

Erin gave an awkward smile in response, he knew he was nothing like the people around him. He was hardly like his brother if we're honest, but he didn't know he was different enough for it to be noticable. "Thank you, Alice. That means a lot to me" he replied and looked over to her "honestly I didn't expect you to be as understanding or nice as you have been. I expected some snobby stuck up princess if I'm honest with you." And he was honest, she was a much better person that he though she'd be. He pulled his hand out of the water and watched it drip onto the rock, it was peaceful where they were and Erin was planning to enjoy every moment that he could get out of this. He just hoped she'd like it as much as he did
