I think that for SC, it reincarnation whether they faded or were "killed" again. For DF, I think they go to hell.

For SC, do you think they are reincarnated almost immediately, or maybe even generations later? I think it depends. For someone like Spottedleaf, who sacrificed herself, they would be reincarnated as soon as their was a new kit ((So she might be Sparkpaw)). If they just simply fade, then it might be a little while. Also, once they are reincarnated, they wouldn't remember their past self ((I.E if Spottedleaf is Sparkpaw, she wouldn't know she is Spottedleaf.)) but would have an inkling that they had lived before.

Cats who fade have "earned their peace" because they have nothing left to do and are satisfied with what they have done. It would be pointless for them to hang around longer, so they just disappear.

When I say hell, I mean like two massive cats repeatedly killing the DF cats over and over or something. Eternal torture. Just what we like to dish up to our favourite baddies.

I don't think the cats get reincarnated after they fade. Cinderpelt was reincarnated in the novels, and she was nowhere near old enough to have "faded away". I have a lot of problems with this "fading" theory. I distinctly remember that StarClan cats begin to fade away once they have been there too long. If that's the case, why hasn't Skystar faded yet? He was around in the prologue of Hawkwing's Journey. He was like, probably one of the first few to populate StarClan! And I remember that when Ivypool (or someone) saw Mapleshade, they commented that she was fading away, too. And yet, Mapleshade was able to fight during the battle in The Last Hope Then, my goodness, there's the whole "dying" twice thing: examples: Tigerstar, Spottedleaf . I totally can understand leaders getting nine lives, that's fine. But when a cat stops breathing for good they go to StarClan or the dark forest. But then, their spirit can be killed? How can they be physically harmed if..they are already dead? They don't have bodies?? Anyways, after they fade, I don't think they come back. They just disappear.

They'd just... not exist. They'd be nothing.
And Ravenflight has made me intrested about the whole fading thing. I think they all start to fade after a long time in StarClan. But they won't fade if they're still remembered. That would explain why Clear Sky hasn't faded - he stared SkyClan.

I know for a fact where they go. This very forum. I know because I have experienced it.

Starclan cats only fade away when they are forgotten. That's probably why some of the really old ones are still there.Personally, I believe that they just go to nothing. If there was something more after they faded away from SC or the dark forest, then the book would have said so. But it has never been mentioned. They just fade away peacefully, because they have lived their life and their time is done.
