I'm not sure if this is where I should put it, but.
I've been wanting to learn how to make layouts--or basically just nice-looking boxes around text--for a while now. If you're confused, think of the kind of layouts you see in RPs and things like that.
I frequently get confused by by websites or can't find one that has what I'm looking for, so I though I'd ask a WCRF user. I understand basic coding--italicize, coloring, etc. etc.
I now also understand the basics of making boxes! Hence the box.
Thank you for anyone who would be willing!

Will this work? How well will this work? Words words words words words words words words. Take up space so we can see how the top and bottom borders are. How to add top and bottom borders? Hmm . . . Also, I have a question--how to add space between the inner box and the top-bottom of the outer box?

Also, I have a question--how to add space between the inner box and the top-bottom of the outer box? go the the bbcode box and put an enter between which div boxes you want space for, like this: Will this work? How well will this work? Words words words words words words words words. Take up space so we can see how the top and bottom borders are. How to add top and bottom borders? Hmm . . .

Heya!
To add to what Fading Reality said, there's a more customizable way. add the "margin" property to your box. It works like "padding". Padding is for space inside the box (between border and text, for example), wherees margin works for space outside of the box. If you just want to adjust the space above and below, but not the the sides, you can also do that by using "padding-top" and "padding-bottom". Hope I could help!
EDIT: Same goes for borders. Instead of "border:1px", use "border-top:1px" and "border-bottom:1px".
Here lies the abyss, the well of all souls. From these emerald waters doth life begin anew. Come to me, child, and I shall embrace you. In my arms lies Eternity.
