Delilah entered the ship with the creature by her side. She squinted down at the map one last time to make sure the two of them had made it to the right place. Sure enough, they had. Entering the vessel, Delilah felt as if she were a star in some make believe science fiction movie, and her head twisted around as she took in her surroundings. "This is crazy..." She glanced to Chase, and then back to the creature. "I have a feeling Peter's brother isn't going to be alright with us keeping this litle guy. We need to stow him away somewhere." She knelt down in front of the thing, and patted his head gently. "You're okay now. You're safe, and you have a home." A small button on the dog's collar likely served to revert him to his original form. Delilah opted to do so, as she believed it would make him more comfortable. She pressed the button and watched as the holograph disappeared, before leading the creature into a cargo hold. "I need you to stay here for the time being, okay? Don't make any sound at all." She gestured as she spoke, and hoped he could understand. Then, carefully, she closed the door and turned back to Chase. "They should be here soon, right? It's getting sort of late..."

(Also, moon and I opted to have Winslow, as he will come to be called, as a joint character, meaning we will both roleplay him, just not at the same time. I've never seen joint characters done before, and thought it might be interesting to see how they fare, so, it's more or less just an experiment. Sort of like Winslow himself was.)

"Only you can believe all is lost but I know with time, nothing is lost." I just thought of away that really breaks the timeline for Bells life...
"Not everyone can step the boundaries of time like you." Claudia shakes her head. She blinks seeing her surrounding change which she knows is a vision. After a few moments of worrying about Kiba and Damocles seeing her not moving she sighs and decides to figure out what the vision was trying to tell her.

Several sets of shoes smacked against the pavement as Icarus -- and presumably Alya -- herded the others into the hangar.
Peter's eyes were still wide open with fear and he had to hold on tight to the kitten in his arms. The poor animal was almost as terrified and kept sinking its claws into Peter, "What now??"
Icarus jerked his head toward the ship which lay a little more than fifty feet away from the group, "Wait here, I'll be right back." Glancing cautiously toward the doors, he turned and sprinted to the far side of the hangar. As he neared a control panel, an armed soldier stepped in through a door, "Sir, do you have clearance?"
"Ah, yes." Icarus struck a few buttons on the device which was attached to his wrist, then gestured towards it. As the man looked down, Icarus suddenly drew back his fist and uppercut him. The man swayed uneasily on his feet and Icarus punched him again, this time knocking him down. Icarus spoke into an intercom, but it wasn't clear what he was saying. A moment later, two very large metal doors slid back, revealing a swirling blue vortex of light and shadows, "Alright, everyone in the ship!" He ordered the others.
As he he was speaking, however... the armed soldiers from earlier stalked in through the entrance, weapons drawn, "Nobody move! Hands up where I can see them!"
Icarus' eyes practically popped out of his head, "SHIP! NOW!"
He hadn't had to tell Peter twice. Clinging tightly to the terrified furball in his arms, Peter ducked his head down and took off towards the ship. At that instant, the laser guns began firing at all of them.

Alfonse kept one arm over Peter's shoulder as they ran, and ducked down in an attempt to shield the boy from harm. In an instant, he felt his leg suddenly give out, and he stumbled forward before falling on his face. "Keep... going!" he called. Another beam hit him in the neck, and he let out a strangled scream. The scientist pulled himself to his feet and began to limp forward. The smoldering wounds in his skin would close quickly, only to be reopened again. Alfonse's eyes burned with tears, and he clutched his shoulder. Blood boiled up around his fingers, but within a few seconds, the wound had mended itself. As he neared the ship, and Peter, he reached forward and shoved the boy hard. He hoped the boy wouldn't fall and subsequently harm his kitten, but he hadn't the time to rethink his decision. He turned back towards the others, and the sight sickened him.
Alya had been hit repeatedly. As he watched, another beam struck her across the face, and she stumbled. For a moment, he hesitated, and then could be seen bolting into the crossfire. He shielded her from further harm as they ran, and took a pained look at Icarus as another beam struck him in his calf. "Go! I can't die!" he roared, his voice hoarse from the immense pain. As they neared the ship, he grabbed Alya by the wrist and flung her into the vessel.
Delilah watched from where she stood. Shock and emotional turmoil filled her eyes. The smell of burning skin, fabric, and hair burned her nose, and the air suddenly felt too hot to bear. She tried to speak, but was unable.
Alya stared down at herself from where she lay, just inside the ship. Her voice too silent to be heard, she whispered Icarus' name, and placed a hand on her injured leg. Her eyes teared up, and she made an attempt to blink them away. The wounds burned fiercely, but were cauterized in almost no time. That was what the military told her, she remembered. She heard her mentor's voice clearly in her ears. "If ever you find yourself under fire from laser artillary, do not move. Find a safe place, and lie down. Lasers cauterize wounds almost immediately, so if you don't move, you won't suffer bleeding. As a result, you may be lucky enough to live, even with severe injuries." Alya didn't want to live. She found her breathing labored, and her vision blurry. It all hurt so badly...

OOC: A joint character? Cool!
IC: Chase watched everything with wide eyes. When everyone got to the ship he subconsciously looked over them all, seeing they all had some sort of injury, except Alfonse. Well, he didn't have them for long at least. He looked at Del, and seeing her horrified face, he put his arm around her back to try and comfort her. He was suddenly glad he slept in. When he saw Alya, he opened his mouth in shock. She must have had the worst injuies of them all. They didn't look good at all.

Peter cringed sharply as he was struck several times in the torso. The kitten was shrieking hysterically now. It dug all of its claws and teeth into Peter's arms, but he only gripped the animal more tightly as it did so, tears welling up from the pain. He cried out as yet another laser met its mark and burned into one of his legs. The boy might have toppled to the ground, had it not been for someone -- Alfonse? -- pushing him forward into the ship. Peter rolled onto his side to avoid falling onto the kitten and lay there panting heavily, his eyes squeezed tightly shut as blood began to well up around his injuries.
Icarus' desire was to rush over to Alya and Peter, but his training kicked in and he started up the ship instead. Once everyone was inside, he closed the hatch and took control of the piloting equipment.
The soldiers swarmed the craft from the outside, but neglected to fire. It was no use; the shell was made out of the toughest material known in Arcania. The lasers would have just deflected off of it harmlessly. A well-dressed man appeared out of a nearby door, presumably some type of general. His face was reddened with anger, "Shut the portal doors!" He ordered, and as he did so, the doors around the portal began to move towards each other.
"Everybody hang on!" Icarus bellowed. Slowly, the ship raised up from the ground as the landing gear withdrew. In a handful of seconds, the aircraft suddenly shot forward through the swirling vortex, just barely making it through before the steel doors slammed shut over it.
If anyone had bothered to look at the monitor display at the front, they would have seen the ship continuing to travel through what appeared to be a wormhole. Minutes later, it finally emerged out the other side in a clear blue sky. Icarus punched in coordinates and set the ship on auto-pilot. Speechless, he finally turned and raced over to tend to his brother and his friend.

Alya shook her head exhaustedly, and just barely raised a shaking finger to Peter. Her eyelids began to grow heavy, and she felt as if she might vomit. The girl wanted to roll over onto her side, and go to sleep, but found herself unable to do so.
Alfonse had vanished. His desire to stay with the group was overshadowed by his guilt, and at the moment, he had crawled into the boiler room of the ship, and sat with his knees drawn to his chest. For the first time in what must have been years, Alfonse felt tears of guilt and sadness roll down his cheeks. Adrenaline still pumping through his veins, he found himsel shakily wiping away the streaks of liquid flowing down his cheeks. His clothes, full of numerous holes, marked his would-be wounds. Within each perfectly-proportioned circle, Alfonse's body was unharmed. This, possibly, was the leading contributing factor to his guilt.
Delilah moved closer to Chase, unsure of what she could do to help. As a self-proclaimed hero, the girl felt utterly useless, and remained silent.

Peter's death-like grip on the cat finally relaxed enough that the animal was able to wriggle free. A few blood stains marred it's light colored fur, but it didn't appear to have any injuries. After stopping to lick itself a few times, the large fluffy kitten wandered over towards Delilah and Chase, sniffing at them curiously.
Icarus knelt between Alya and Peter, laying a hand on each of them as his tear-filled gaze switched rapidly between the two of them. It was like something out of a nightmare. Out of all the people in the world, he loved these two the absolute most, and here they both lay dying. Icarus suppressed a sound of anger. This was all his fault. He should have deported Peter's friends the moment they showed up, or at least sent all of them back the way they came from. Maybe he could have gone with them to ensure they wouldn't just return. Maybe even Alya would have accompanied them.
Peter felt something wet fall on his cheek. He cracked open his eyes and was shocked to see his older brother weeping. Peter had never seen his brother cry before, and was sure he'd lacked the function entirely. He smiled weakly up at his brother, "I-I-Is A-Adonis ok?"
It figured, of course. The poor kid looked like swiss cheese and all he was worried about was his dumb cat. "H-he's fine. You're going to be fine. B-both of you are."

Alya's shaky, bloodstained hand reached up to take Icarus'. Her thumb traced along his knuckles, as she attempted to reassure him. She could hardly reassure herself, though. The hole in her right cheek marred her once-beautiful face, and she was certain that if she even made it out of the ordeal alive, she would never look the same again. "I pr... I promise it's going to be alright." Her hand brushed a lock of hair from Icarus' face, and she wiped the tears from below his eyes. "I-I'm going to make it through this for... for you." She wanted to continue. She wanted to tell Icarus that he was her best friend, that she had no intentions of leaving him behind to live a life without her. The two of them were never apart. When Icarus had joined the military, Alya had followed suit, because she didn't want her friend to be alone. Though Icarus had more than enough skill to be promoted, Alya remained a humble guard, watching the outer borders and protecting against foreign threats. Icarus had come back to join her. Though it wasn't completely of his own accord, she liked to think he caused himself to be demoted so he could be with her once more. The guard position had been lonely without him... With all this in mind, she smiled weakly, and the only thing she could utter was a hoarse "I love you". Whether it was platonic or romantic, Icarus would likely never know. Alya succumbed to the pain, and closed her eyes. Though still breathing, her respiratory functions were shallow and labored, and it was apparent that if she didn't receive some sort of medical care soon, Alya would die. Her limp hand fell into Icarus', and her mouth opened just slightly as she laid unconscious. (I'm really sleepy you guys. I'll be back tomorrow!! Good night. )

OOC: Night Q!
IC: Chase watched in horror. He hardly even noticed they were on Earth, and looked down only at the cat but he didn't move to touch it, he was just watching Alya and Icarus. This wasn't right. What happened to them that caused them all to be shot at by what he could only assume was Arcania's military. When he saw Alya go limp, he gulped and pulled Del even closer, not wanting to let go. His face stayed mostly emotionless, but in his eyes was an obvious show of horror. This wasn't part of the plan at all, this was supposed to be a clean in and out. Arcania was just supposed to be a stop in between the Castle and Earth.

Icarus was totally silent throughout Alya's words. His mouth felt as dry as chalk and his throat had seized up. When his friend went limp, Icarus' eyes widened and he gently shook her, "ALYA!" Peter cracked his eyes again and finally got a better view of his and his brother's friend. His face contorted in an expression of pain and he glanced up at his brother wordlessly. It crossed his mind to ask if she were dead. All he managed to get out was a muffled "is", at which point his body went completely still. Tears continued to stream as Icarus took Peter's hand in his left, and Alya's in his right, and squeezed them. One of them had a weak and steady pulse, but the other's was growing faint. Icarus blanched. He had received no form of medical training and was totally at a loss for what to do. Shaking, he turned to Delilah and Chase, eyes wide in almost a manic sort of way, "Earth, it has medical facilities, right? I-I'm going to need your help finding one. A-as soon as we land. Please." He pleaded. (Who is dying? Will they reach a hospital in time? Will Icarus ever find out what Alya meant? WILL THE KITTEN EVER GET HIS TOY MOUSE BACK? Tune in tomorrow for the answers!)

Vertigo had managed to make it to the castle entrance without incident. Things could change quickly once he actually got inside. There would be much less room to avoid contact, or confrontation. He'd have to talk his way out, or bolt past anyone who drew suspicion from him. With a deep breath, he slipped inside the castle, hood drawn tight.

The sound of hurried footsteps could be heard traveling in Vertigo's direction, though no person could be seen. It wasn't even possible to tell where the sound was coming from, as it appeared to be coming from everywhere at once.

Vertigo stopped his movement, and slid closer to the wall. With eyes narrowed he scanned the surrounding hallway. Whoever was coming, from wherever was in a hurry. Whether that meant someone had already found him out, or a strange coincidence he didn't know. This place sure seemed to have quite the echo, as far as he could tell.
