So I was thinking, there's not that many great places for SkyClan to settle when they get to the lake. I think in the event that they move into the lake, they might have to split up into the other Clans, so I was wondering which cats would go to which Clans, or where you think SkyClan would settle if thy did find some new territory.

I read of fanfiction where they did successfully get back to the lake and have their own territory... There is a gorge in between Windclan and Riverclan (at least I think those were the two, although I know that Riverclan was one), and this is all there because it reminds them of their own home. There is also a way to get to Thunderclan easily, but I'm not entirely sure how they do it.
They probably go to the same place when they come back in the canon series... And there were probably be some expansion of the map explaining it...

I think they would have their own territory. If there wasn't enough space, maybe one of the clans would be generous enough to give up part of their territory. I feel like that clan would be ThunderClan if they had to give away territory. But, here are some spots that would be good:

Yeah, but the top spot seems small, and horseplace has tons of twolegs and horses, which could pose a lot of problems. SkyClan is also used to hunting in forested areas, so Horseplace wouldn't work that well for them.

I'm guessing that you haven't read BrS? They will probably end up in the forested area that ThunderClan and ShadowClan took over after the flood.

SkyClan splitting up into the other Clans would make the entire thing pointless... I mean that was the reason Firestar didn't bring back SkyClan to the old forest in the first place (though I still think SkyClan could easily have stayed in the old forest and lived beyond ShadowClan's border, flanked by the Thunderpath and the Twolegplace <.<) wheeledwarrior between ShadowClan and RiverClan there's only the parking area and beyond that the Twolegplace And between RiverClan and WindClan there's only Horseplace... The only way I see is somewhere beyond ThunderClan's or ShadowClan's territory (or mayyybe even beyond WindClan's) with perhaps a little stretch of territory that goes down to the lake like Dawnrose suggested

I feel like the end of the series will have all five Clans joining together and becoming one, and having it be how it was in DOTC

I feel like the end of the series will have all five Clans joining together and becoming one, and having it be how it was in DOTC I think it's a solid theory.

I feel like the end of the series will have all five Clans joining together and becoming one, and having it be how it was in DOTC I don't think it would work. Lots of cats would probably be unhappy with the way it is, and there would be conflicts with who rules.

The question would be, how would the rules have to change to reflect that? Would porters and territories still exists, but cats being free to come and go, or would the entire lake just become one big territory, with five leaders ruling over everyone?

I feel like the end of the series will have all five Clans joining together and becoming one, and having it be how it was in DOTC I definitely think that this is what the Erins are leading up to. I feel like it could be done, but they need to plan ahead enough to pull it off.

It looks like it. or the five leaders fight and of course bramblestar wins
