Ok so I have been wanting to rp this character for a while and it is hard when the only option is pretty bad or Stockholm syndrome-y. Basically I came up with an idea to do this character and not do either of those, have no idea if it is any good or not, but let's find out.
The National Demon Research and Testing Facility is a facility that finds, acquires, holds and does tests on humans all around the world who are either suspected of being a demon or possessed by a demon. Sponsors are people who are selected that are of similar age to the one being held at the facility and prepared to be able to take care of someone who has been away from society for at least five years. The families, more specifically the sponsor, is paid a sum every year as a sort of 'thank you' for doing this as well as money to put aside for if they ever have to take care of the 'child'. Normally, people who enter the facility are already at least 13, making their sponsors already able to begin different courses to learn the ins and outs of taking care of their 'child'. Your character is a special case, having been selected when they was 5, their parents were originally taught things like emergency aid, advanced parenting and general courses as if they were about to have another child. Fast forward about 10 years, your character starts those courses. They have to learn some extra things other then the normal emergency aid and basic life lessons. They learn more in depth first aid, cooking, cleaning, parenting lessons all in preparation for if they ever have to take care of their 'child' Fast forward another bit and-even though a sponsor is rarely used-your character is called to tell them that a year from then, they would be taking care of their 'child'-who would be getting separated from the demon possessing you sometime in that year. A fat check came in the mail soon afterwards to pay for a new home, furniture for the newcomer, and just anything they might need to prepare for the next year. It is a year later, your character has been continued getting those larger checks for final preparations, and later that week they are meant to meet the person they promised to take care of.
Just a random idea, slice of life stuff with shenanigans here and there. Just a thought and it seemed fun to do to me *shrugs* Oh and I don't care about gender, if I put He/him/his anywhere up there it was a mistake of mine

Good morning I think this is a good plot, and I want to rp it; the only problem is that I struggle with the domestic house care type personality(I will try my best). What age are we looking at, and would you want this "parent" to be good at their job or comically bad at it? The last thing is: Are you looking for a romance plot between the two or simply friendship? Sorry, so many questions ^-^'.

I can answer that with a simple i don't really care. I can mess with ages though above 17 is my only suggestion. I think the comically bad could be great but at the same time the good at the job would work well. With romance, honestly the characters personality and how they work with each other tends to dictate that. I have had plans for no romance with romance ending up happening and vice versa. Don't worry about the questions, I really don't mind answering even if it is in a vague way xD And sorry for later reply, was having trouble with Tapu Bulu xD

I honestly got really lucky and caught it was a timer ball XD
I'm going to use Michiko who is 18. She's 5 foot 3 and rather quiet until she gets to know people, but is a completely sarcastic and pun-derful person when you get to know her. She's super strict about school, and her passion in life is music . She's a complete klutz, so most of her training is a waste because she ends up making more of a mess than she started with. Her real merit, and the reason she was assigned to your character, is because of her ability to love deeply and give excellent life advice. Her parents died when she was 15, and so she appreciates family and will protect them with her life. She has a terrible anxiety from being separate from those she cares for, so she usually locks others out. But once she let's you in, there isn't anything you could do to make her hate you or stop caring for you.

(Awesome ) Jamie will be 18 here. He is about 5 foot 7 inches give or take half an inch. Jamie has almost no people skills, not in the 'I am a jerk because I don't know better' but more on the 'I will just sit quietly in the corner' sort of way. He really only got along with Aim over the years, the demon that he had been with since a young age. Jame doesn't remember a time to well before he had met Aim, he knew that he really enjoyed his life back then, but he was just too young. (I know it is short, but I promise I am better at actually writing out posts)

It had been three weeks since Jamie was separated from Aim. Everyone but him was on board with the whole thing, even Aim said it was probably best for them to part ways. It was one part privatizing and one part saddening for him. At the start of the journey, though, Jamie hadn't been expecting to be taken to the medical room he had just been released from. The scientists explained it was to keep the location a secret, and without any more warning, put him under. The next thing Jamie remembered was waiting for the plane to arrive. Or that is what he assumed as he could clearly see planes outside the large window to his left. His sponsor must be pretty far away for them to take a plane all the way there-by them he also meant the two caretakers who were posted on either side of him. The plane ride itself wasn't to bad, a couple bumps here and there making Jamie's heart either stop or attempt to beat out of his chest, but they landed safely with-by some miracle-no one killed. The last leg of the trip, Jamie could feel the rising nervousness in his throat. It took a lot to wrap his head around the fact that this was his first human contact outside the facility. Sure the sponsor had an affiliation to the facility, but normally sponsors have never even seen the place. Jamie glanced outside the car window, his two caretakers in the front seat discussing directions. He wanted to try to guess which house was going to be 'his' for the next who knows how long. There was no set time limit for him to be out of the new home, just a 'when you can, move out' instruction from the Sponsor Manager. The car stopped in front of the place, Jamie had nodded off after none of the homes seemed right. Now he was looking back out the window to get an idea of where he was at.

Michiko was running around the house at the speed of light in a pathetic attempt to finish the laundry and cook lunch before her charge arrived. Despite having turned 18 a year ago and attending university for a year, she had not quite grasped the concept of adulting yet, despite have had classes for years on parenting. She was honestly pretty crappy as far as house work went. Where Michi shined was in her ability to give advice, and they way that she had learned to read and understand people. She had taken classes in high school and even at university about advanced psychology, and she had gone through enough grief in her life to be able to sympathize with just about anyone. She had an endless capacity of love, and she just had to learn to give it out. Besides, the Facility wasn't too concerned with if she could cook a five start meal; she didn't burn the house down, and they were rather happy with her cooking skills. She heard the car pull up outside, and so she flipped the stove to "off" and ran to the door as she smoothed her her unruly hair and opened the door with a smile.

The two caretakers exited the car, one walking to the house to finalize a couple of things with Michiko as well as hand over some necessary items for Jamie. "Good afternoon, You are Miss Michiko correct?" The first one asked, doing a quick flip through the folder to make sure everything was in place. The other one opened the trunk to retrieve the few belongings that Jamie had-which all fit into a small backpack. The second caretaker knocked on the side Jamie was seated on, motioning for him to exit as well. Jamie almost threw the car door open, happy to finally be allowed outside other then for a walk to the car from the airport. Jamie himself had rather well kept hair, it having been cut only earlier that week in preparation. His clothes on the other hand, were obviously large on him, the pants being held up with a belt and the shirt hanging loosely on his shoulders. It was all the facility had for him to wear, it wasn't like they were overly prepared for anyone in the facility to leave. Jamie grabbed the bag that was held out to him, looking around again. Up and down the street, behind him to make sure he wasn't missing anything and finally to get a better look at the house. It wasn't until he felt a tug on his arm did he start to move forward and to the house.

Michiko binked after taking as second his words and a smile came to her voice. "Yes, that's me. I'll be Jamie's caretaker. I enrolled him in the local university under the undecided major track for now until he decides his path." She looked over the papers with the man for a few moments and signed a few documents to certify that she was his caretaker, power of attorney, and medical consultant, and then she took a deep breath as the man stopped grilling her with forms and questions. Michi turned her attention over the man's shoulder now to watch a boy her age walk towards the house. She appraised him without passing judgment- simply taking in features and identifying marks, and she frowned for only a second when she saw how big his clothes were. Shopping was going to have to happen faster than she thought if the items she presumed to be the entirety of his luggage were inidicative of anything. However, when Jamie got closer, a huge, shy smile came to her face. She was beyond nervous to meet him- never having dreamed she would actually be matched to someone. But despite her nerves, her heart also beat with excitement; this was going to be an amazing journey for them, and she felt like a tour guide to society. Beyond all that, her other major was international relationship, and nothing screamed practice like intorducing someone to the world.

The first caretaker frowned for just a moment "I think it is best if Jamie enrolls in a course that gets him through his k through 12 schooling first." He turned back as the other caretaker and Jamie arrived at the porch "We leave him to your care, if any major problems come up, there is a number to call in the folder" While that conversation was taking place the second caretaker turned to Jamie to tell him a couple more things in a hushed whisper to not disturb the other conversation. It was mostly about how to not taking the same chances he would with Aim. After both of those were done, the two caretakers left the porch, just leaving Jamie to stand there. Jamie turned to watch the car leave, he definitely had mixed feelings about this now. He was somewhere between 'finally out' and 'why did things have to change'. He turned back to the girl, the caretakers had told him her name was 'Michiko' when he was younger, trying to get a judge on who she might be-other then his sponsor.

A bright smile painted itself onto Michiko's face when the caretakers finally left, and she could finally get aquainted with Jamie. "Hello. It's nice to meet you, Jamie! I'm Michiko Tanaka, but you can call me Michi if you want." She looked into his eyes as she grasped his hand in a handshake. She thought back to the preparation classes she had taken all her life, and immediately put into practice the "be a good example" motto. Jamie had a lot to learn as far as people skills went, and his training started now and would continue until the day they parted- if they ever parted. Michiko's blue eyes sparkled a bit, and happy lines were etched into her face. "Come on inside." She beckoned him in warmly after releasing his hand. "And welcome home. This is your house too." She entered the house and waited for him to follow in behind her. Her heart was still, beating nervously, but she felt much better after their initial meeting. He seemed like a well behaved kid, and she sent a silent prayer up that she could guide him and be his friend and guardian to the best of her ability.

Jamie gave a small smile, he wasn't used to handshakes, but it wasn't a bad thing "I know your name, what de-" Jamie cut himself short waving his other hand a bit, he about caught himself in a script he had been using for years "Never mind" Not even a minute in and he was already dealing with habits, it would be a miracle if he came out of this alive. He moved himself inside the house, looking around to get a good idea of his surroundings. It was a lot smaller then he was used to-he was certain anything would be smaller then he was used to considering where he just came from. The facility was much more spacious then this, but granted they were doing a lot more with a lot more people there. He guessed a home for two to just live in would be about this size, wasn't like he knew much about home sizes, though.
(I love how she's worried about his dealing with people and meanwhile I am worried he might end up jumping off a balcony because 'oh I have done something similar before and didn't come out with any injures soooo' xD)

(ah priorities, what a tangled web they are !)
Michiko grinned at his smile, and she allowed herself to fan girl for a moment. Was this the pride that parents feel just looking at their children? It was a wonderful feeling, whatever it was. Michiko padded up behind him and tried to picture the house through his eyes. It was 2 stories, with a bed and bath upstairs- her room-, and a downstairs that consisted of another bedroom, Jamie's, as well as a guest bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a small sitting room the doubled as a library and board game room. The house itself was rather tiny but Michiko had decorated it in such a way that the rooms felt open and war, with lots of natural rocks and beautiful patterned rugs hung everywhere. There were even yoga mats in the corner and a cabinet of essential oils. She was rather interested in the spiritual world, and she figured she ought to learn about it incase her charge's past decided to come pay a visit. She felt a warm feeling creepy into her chest as her house felt more like home than it ever had before. "What do you think?" She asked, the grin still on her face.

Jamie took more steps into the home, he looked where he could, ignoring any closed doors as a sign that he shouldn't go in there until told otherwise. It ended up with him looking around the living room, the kitchen and a few hallways here and there. Which one do you think belongs to us? Jamie asked out of habit, then quickly reminding himself that he had no one to talk to up there. The room wouldn't be belonging to them, just him. "It's a house?" He really didn't have much else to go off of, it seemed like a less sterile environment then in a lab, not in the bad way, though. It was just in another way. Even their rooms were more or less sterile of things that could be dangerous to them. More specifically for him, the rugs, and there were never any rocks anywhere in the facility. The cabinets were a lot different, his hung on the wall and was made from some extremely heat resistant metal. The same with all of his stuff except for his clothing items, any bathroom items, mattress and bed-sheets. "It's a lot different"

Michiko smiled a bit and mentally face palmed at her own stupidity. She had forgotten that he never really had to give his opinion on the layout of things, and the probably didn't really have much to go off of as far as living areas went. She had only seen the Institute on video tapes she had to watch for her training, and it seemed like a metal waste land to her. Michiko needed light and sound and color in her life, and she had thought more than once that she would have been driven insane if she didn't them. So, she shrugged off his honest appraisal, and she began to show him the house. "Yeah, I suppose it would be. Let me show you around. This is the kitchen. I'll make the meals, but if you are ever hungry in between, I have some snacks in the cabinet you are welcome to anytime." She opened up that cabinet to reveal various snacks ranging from healthy to heart attack in a wrapper. Moving along, she showed him the living room. "You can do home work or watch tv in here, etc." She said before moving along to the library. Here, she stopped and breathed in the air deeply. Old books was one of her favorite smells. "This is my favorite room in the whole house. The Library." She said before showing her up the stairs and to the top floor. She stopped outside the room at the top of the landing. "This is my room. Its pretty messy, so enter at your own risk." After showing him the bath room, she went down stairs to show him the other. Finally, she reach the last door. "And this is your room!" She announced gleefully, opening the door with a flourish. The room had gray walls- taking a little bit of home to him. The walls had green Celtic crosses on the walls, and the pattern was echoed on the covers on the bed. There was a dark brown desk in the corner of the room and dark brown dressers against both walls. Tucked into the other wall was a small closet.

Jamie had heard of homework from some of the others who had arrived when they were older, he felt a sense of dread since every single one of them always stated how horrible of a thing it was. Normally homework came from a school, right? He hadn't heard a single good thing about that place either, and since Michiko had mentioned homework, he assumed he would have to do the school stuff as well. He was shocked about how many different smells were around the house. The kitchen you wouldn't be able to describe the smell, there was just to many of them to really get a good read on it. The library reminded him of what it smelled like right outside the airport, where the ground had been wet. When they arrived to her room, he took the 'enter at your own risk' and translated that into 'just don't go in there unless it is an emergency'. His own room he had plenty of mixed feelings about, he liked the green, but the grey seemed to make the room appear darker. He never liked the dark, he preferred the room seem much brighter. That may only be because he was used to the glaring white walls. The wood still threw him off, it made him feel like he couldn't touch them without damaging them in some way. That would probably just be something else to get used to. Honestly, Jamie hadn't found anything that he really disliked about this home. It just seemed fragile in comparison to the facility.

Michiko smiled tenderly at Jamie, happy that she finally got to meet him after about a year of intensive, last minute training. Although she still felt a bit nervous, he was really a good person, and she could imagine becoming really good friends with him. "I also have a few night lights, if you want one. I didn't know if you liked light or not, but I have some cool lamps and stuff you can pick from if your room is too dark", Michiko offered, turning to leave the room. "Are you hungry? I can imagine that the flight and drive from the Facility to here must have been pretty long." Michiko said as she started for the kitchen.

Jamie had to take a second to think about what she had just said. Pick from lamps. He rarely got the option to pick things like food or decorations. When it did it was usually bartering with the other demons, not from someone who was taking care of him. "Ok" He replied, not knowing how he would even begin to decide between two things that give light. He was happy at the mention of food, the last thing he ate was right before he left the facility, which was a good at least 8 hours ago. "What is chow today?" He asked, following after Michiko. He pulled the door after them to make sure it clicked shut.
