okay, get this: my char is a telekinetic. He can control stuff with his mind, and he's gotten pretty good at it. He uses it for theft and crime. However, he pisses off the wrong person. Enter your char, an assassin sent after him.

MxF. Although MxM is intriguing, I simply lack the experience to properly role play that type of relationship. I have to go to bed now, sadly But I hope we can role play together soon!

All he had to do was lift a wallet here, unhook some jewelry there to stay afloat.
However, Max was not the type to just "stay afloat." Although he kept a low radar, he liked to be creative. He liked tricking people, messing with them a little. Say, like, a few weeks ago when he saw some important-looking guy talking to other important-looking people and he sort of, you know, made the guys hat dance around a bit and stolen his wallet while he was at it. He doubted they'd seen him until he heard shouting and he realized it was indeed him the guy was pointing at. Not to worry, he'd run straight out of there, though he was pretty sure it seemed like something straight out of a comical movie.
He'd picked up groceries with the money he'd stolen and headed back to his apartment. He usually only took the money from wallets he stole before replacing them. When he played his cards right, he could get a couple hundred. He didn't have much use for the cards or IDs. Credit cards could just get frozen or canceled anyway. Once he was home, he went over the day's earnings. It was modest. He'd gotten a watch he'd have to pawn off the next day, seeing as it wasn't straight money. Hopefully it was in good condition; he could never tell. The thing itself looked nice. Maybe if it was worthless he could use it himself. Then again, what use did he have for a watch? He didn't have anywhere to go where he needed to be "on time" or punctual. He was a bum, and when he needed money, he stole it.

Michi had graduated at the top of her class from FBI camps and she was more than proud of it. She was trained under the pretext of being someone who protected others, and in a way she did, but her job was more violent than the normal 9 to 5. You see, Michi was an assassin. She trained for months to become good at hand to hand combat styles from all over the world, and she had taken months and months of classes to become fluent in 3 languages other than English. It was a long process, but at the interesting age of 27 she loved being an "Angel of Death" or angel for short. Not that she was fearless; spiders terrified her, and don't even talk about bees.
Her current mission was interesting because she was hunting down some sort of super human or whatever, but the guy was a real piece of work- a modern day Loki of sorts. A smirked settled on her face as she adopted the nickname for him into her head. This character had it coming- she'd been playing mind games for years. She felt a little off about directly killing this one though, and she decide she might allow him to live depending on what degree of evil he was. Her chin length black hair flopped in the breeze under her hat as she strolled through town before arriving at a dingy apartment complex. It was go time. Walking to the side of the complex, she scaled the ladder and followed the tip she had received from HQ to the third floor. She crawled onto the landing, and pressed a silent ear against the glass to hear what was going on inside.

While he would have loved to be doing something terribly evil (or act least acting cool) he was in fact singing Hamilton and putting away groceries. There wasn't much to his small fridge. He usually shoved everything in together, though he separated between the nonfrozen and frozen items. One plus to his powers was being able to open and close the fridge while having his hands full.
He wouldn't say it took less effort; it still took the effort he would have used opening it with an arm, but now he could have like an extra ghost limb, and it could go across the room. He could also brings the bags to him, but if he lost concentration he might spill all his groceries.
He didn't even notice the assassin outside. In all honesty, he didn't think anyone would really catch him. Was he even worth catching? I mean, he did cool tricks with his mind; who would try to arrest someone like that? Or really, he hadn't thought much of it; at least, he hadn't considered the actual chance he might get caught.

Michiko didn't hear anything from inside the house other than a few things opening and shutting, and she wondered where the footsteps were. She peeped through the blinds on the door as was amazed to see objects flitting around the rather orderly apartment room. She was impressed at the power the man had, and it brought a smile to her face. She loved a challenge, and this was shaping up to be one already. Seeing that he was going to be quite a bit stronger than her, she decided that a sneak attack would likely be the best and only way that she could subdue him without getting acted upon by his power- likely telekinesis. She drew up an action plan in her, and she waited for a moment when he was venerable to open the door and strike. In the mean time, she imprinted his characteristics into her mind, and she started to take notes on how he moved and which hand was dominant. She needed to learn a lot of information very quickly and attack before he noticed her,

Max finished quickly. He didn't buy many groceries because he was only feeding himself. Plus, with the side of his powers it didn't take long at all.
Once he'd finished, he decided to channel surf until he got hungry. He should work on those job applications his mom had emailed him (she worried about his magical source of income and laziness.) He knew, however, that it was pretty much pointless. What sort of job skills could he even put? Telekenisis? They probably would think he was messing around and not even let him do an interview.
He plopped down on the couch, turning on the TV. The money he'd stolen for the day was splayed on the small kitchen counter. It was a good sum, though money for groceries had already been subtracted from it. He had to admit he felt a little light-headed from his work. Juggling a lot of things at the same time could do that to him, but it was nothing special. He'd easily recover in ten minutes if he relaxed and drank some water.

Michi decided she would stake it out for about 20 more minutes. She figured that the average television show was about 30 minutes long, and that there was a good chance he would either fall asleep or become involved the show. If neither occured then she didn't have time in the first place to act now anyway. She used the the time to simply observe her case with interest. Outside of having abilities, he seemed to be a very normal kid. Cheese nuggets, the kid even watched tv and lived in an apartment like any broke person his age!
Michi felt a smirk grow on her face as she observed his eyes through her binoculars. She could tell by the droop of the under eye that he was feeling some sort of fatigue, and she was willing to bet that his ability took a Toal on him. She stored the information away for later, knowing that in a long term battle of will it would be very important to maximize her advantage of stamina.
However, there was one thing that Michi couldn't tell, and that was his moral standing. She had never been good at uncovering the true face of people, and it had gotten her into many tight spots one the years. She had always been the weird girl growing up, and so she had isolated herself for people to people relationships of the friendly nature long ago. She found that even today whenever she tried to make friends she ended up getting back stabbed.

When he turned on the TV, he couldn't stand the tacky laugh track, so he lowered the volume until the words were barely audible.
Eventually, with a combination of feeling relaxed and comfortable, knowing he had no other responsibilities, being worn out, and having a crappy TV show on as white noise, he fell asleep on the couch. It wasn't new for him to do this. Why wouldn't he? His sleep schedule was already awful. If he slept for five hours or thirty minutes it didn't matter. It was a perfect metaphor for everything he did.
Sound asleep, he wasn't much of a threat. However, he was a pretty light sleeper considering his subconscious fear of attack at any moment. That said, someone skilled in stealth would likely have an easy time of sneaking up to him and killing him in his sleep.

Michiko waited a full 5 minutes after he fell asleep to pick the lock. It wasn't the hardest thing in he world; sketchy apartment complexes weren't exactly know for having the best security systems. The again, a super human probably didn't need likely such systems.
She slid the door open quietly and slowly snuck into the room, placing her toes lightly where her next step would be to make sure the floor wouldn't creak, but of course the floor was full of crackle spots.
It was when she was hovering over the man ehat she happened to shift her weight ever so slightly. In that moment as her center of mass changed- the floor let out a huge creak. Michiko froze and stared at him in fear in wonder of what she had just unleashed. Michi wasn't any stranger to fear, she was an assasian after all, but it still sent the same icy chill up her back after every mistake.
In her occupation, perfection was killer, and imperfection would get you killed.

In that moment, his eyes flew open. All he saw was a blurry mass standing over him, and he freaked out. His first instinct was to fling her backwards. It wasn't too hard considering he was still a little sleepy, but it was hard enough for her to get some airtime.
His heart pounded furiously; he was shaking, or at least his hands were, and he was quite awake. His first thought was, of course, How did she get in here? He slammed the door shut upon glancing over and seeing it startlingly open. How did she walk in so quietly? Why didn't I wake up?
Red flushed to his face when the anger set in. His pale face flushed easily, be it anger or embarrassment. Why is she here? He had a creeping suspicion that it wasn't just to say hello.

Michiko knew she was screwed the moment she saw his eyes open. Without warning, she felt herself be pushed back by what felt like an invisible gust wind. She let out a small grunt of suprise as she found herself dazed on the floor. All of a sudden the door slammed shut behind her. Well, there went the exit. Michi decided that she would let the situation progress and if it escalated she would have worn him out enough for her to get away.
She backed towards the center of the room on the ground so not alert him, and she tried to locate all projectile fodder object in the room. Maybe she could distract him long enough for an opportunity to attack. "Nice apartment," she commented nonchalantly.
(Is the goal to apprehend him or kill him?)

it could be either. Maybe originally it is to kill him, but she decides he's interesting and kidnaps him? Then she could play the "I saved your life" card later }}
"No! It's not nice! So shut up!" he shouted. He was very angry and very scared, and she sure as hell was not here for chit-chat, so why was she commenting on his apartment, which she shouldn't even be in, by the way.
He doubted he could force-choke her, although it would be cool. The idea, at least, might be useful for later, but it would require more work than he wanted to put in when he might have a chance of just scaring her off.
Right, scaring her off. He should work on that. First, though, he needed a weapon. One of his two cabinets flew open as a wide pan flew through it. The impact made his hand sting, but it was worth it. Besides, he could hit her with this or defend himself if it came to that.
"You see that? I can kill you. Why are you here?!" he added, still shouting. Hopefully the neighbors weren't home to complain about the noise.

Michiko smirked at him and let out a little laugh. "You're pretty funny, and sharp too. I've stared death in the face more times than I can count, and while a frying pan is the more creative weapon I've ever seen- it isn't the most effective. As for why I'm here, well, you should have have been dead about 5 minutes ago." The smirk grew cold. "You got lucky I messed up. You're pretty interesting though, so I might let you live. We could play a game of hide and seek if you want." She was trying to confused him. If she could get him to drop his guard for even a second that would be all she needed. "Or I could leave. I'm not in the mood to get Vader-ed."

"I said shut up!" he repeated. He had thought of getting a knife, but he only had kitchen knives, and he didn't want to try catching one from the air. Then again, he could just aim it at her and see if she got injured enough that she might leave. "Take your own advice and get out of my apartment. Now," he seethed. He stood up from the couch, holding his frying pan with both hands.

Michiko rose and walked quickly towards the door. When she looked like she was going to leave, she decided to make a very dumb and possibly wonderful gamble. She turned around as quick as she could with her hand stuck out,. While she had been walking she had grabbed her pepper spray from the inside of her jacket pocket, and so as she turned around she sprayed and prayed. She didn't have time to monitor his reaction to the spray or even gauge if he had been hit as she rushed at him in a n attempt to blindside what was turning out to be her most interesting case yet.
(Oooh plot twist what if he kidnaps her and uses her as a shield to protect him from the people he want her dead. If you don't want to then that's fine, but I wondered what you thought of the idea.)

He watched her leave, relaxing a little as she was almost at the door. However, he really didn't expect her to turn around and pepper spray him. Luckily, he brought his pan up to dodge the majority of the spray. When she rushed at him, he did the only thing he knew he could do in a matter of seconds: he threw her back with his telekenisis. This time he didn't hold back, mostly because he was angry and scared and didn't have time to concentrate on how much force he used. She deserved it, anyway, for trying to kill me!

Michiko was almost at her goal-her fist in his face- when she felt the gust of invisible wind again. Except this time it felt more like a tornado had hit her straight in the chest. Her eyes widened in shock as she let out a small squeak of surprise. Time seemed to slow down in that moment as one second she found her self running, and the next she was flying. The collision with the wall wasn't fun at it She hit it straight on with a decent amount of force and cracked her head rather harshly against the dry wall. She slid to the ground and landed on her hands knees- clutching her head and moaning in pain a bit. If someone didn't know better they may have thought her an innocent and small woman, but she was lethal despite her small stature. Michiko shook her head and tried to clear the haze that was quickly settling in, but it was all to no avail as dark spots danced in her vision. She started to struggle up from her knees, but only managed to get half way up before freeezing and crumpling to the ground in an unconscious heap.

He stood there, stunned into silence. He could still hear his heart thumping in his chest. Luckily, it had worked. More than that, it'd worked a little too well. What was he supposed to do with her? He gingerly walked up, almost scared she would wake up again, and checked her pulse. He breathed a sigh of relief when he found her heart was still beating.
The adrenaline was starting to subside, so another headache was coming on, but he knew he had to do something with her before she woke up. He couldn't just put her unconscious body in the hall. He couldn't call an ambulance either because they would ask what happened.
He could keep her here until she woke up, but what would stop her from trying to kill him again just as soon as she did-- because he really needed a nap, and he couldn't wait until she woke up again.
He thought of tying her up with something, but he didn't own rope because he wasn't a creepy pervert, and he doubted some shirts would work well enough to keep a killer bound for long. Just lock her in the closet… he told himself. When she wakes up you can let her out. Easy-peasy. He decided it was the best solution since his options weren't that great. He picked her up and took her to the small closet in his bedroom, removing some of the clothes to make room for her. He turned on the light and locked the door from the outside. Then, of course, he hopped into bed himself and tried to fall asleep.

When Michi woke up, she was in complete darkness. Her heart beat elevated as her eyes adjusted, but her brain remained foggy. What had happened before she passed out. Her heart beat refused to slow down; she was in a dark room. She grabbed the handle and shook it violently only to find, as she had suspected, that it was locked. She felt tears well in her eyes; she wasn't an emotional person, but she had a lot riding on this case. The employers had threatened her family, and even now her little sister was locked away in God knows what horrible doing having God knows what done to her. Michi hadn't wanted to kill the boy in the place, but she really hadn't had an option. She had to save her sister- she was the only family that Michi had left since her parents died when she was younger. Michi pounded on the door and cried out, "Please, let me out!"

The pounding woke him up. He left the need to lash out, but when he threw his arm, there was no one there. Right. She was in the closet.
In fact, she had asked to be let out. It seemed like a bad idea to him. "You said you were going to leave," he growled, sliding off of his bed. He inched towards the closet. His headache was still there, but it was less prevalent. Nonetheless, he didn't want to use telekenisis unless he really had to.
"What's stopping you from coming at me again if I open this door?" he asked. He probably wouldn't believe whatever she said anyway. He didn't know it, but killing him was probably more important to her than her own life. Still, he didn't want to keep her in the closet, but he was doubtful. Maybe he should have just left her outside when he had the chance.
