Sounds good ^^))
Sasha arched a brow at that, corner of his mouth quirking up in a smirk as he gave a scoff of disbelief. Anyone who didn't know him would think that was kind of rude. Which it was, but it was just Sasha-speak for 'wow, that's interesting, I didn't expect that'. "Really? I haven't seen you before, woulda thought I would know you by now if you spent so much time around Jeb." He spoke slowly.

"He wanted to wait until I graduated from high school to move back here," She replied, voice steady. "And why don't you believe me?" She felt like she'd been stabbed in the heart. Why didn't this guy believe her? Maybe because she was new? She had no reason to lie about anything... Sasha was a bit rude she had to say, but anyone would, she guessed being who she was and what had literally come out of her mouth this whole conversation. She sighed, eyes dropping to rhe floor.

"Whoa, calm down," Sasha stuttered, eyes going wide as he lifted a hand in an awkward attempt to placate the girl. Olivia. She looked like she was about to cry or something and he wasn't sure he'd be able to deal with that. "I do believe you, I just-- I don't control the tone of my voice half the time, give me a break." He gave a huff of an exhale and turned to glanced towards the kitchen. "... Come help us set up the buffet," he gave a reassuring nod before turning to stroll towards the good smells just as Shafer was coming out, arms full of baskets of bannock.

Olivia became quiet, moving to the kitchen to help out with the food. She didn't know what the majority of the food was. She had never seen it before. It smelled delicious though. She smiled as she carried several trays out, placing them in a line on the table. There were two tables beside each other with white table cloths on top. "How many people live in this town?" She asked after a bit of silence.

Sasha smacked his little brother upside the head when he gave a harsh scoff at her words. "Shut up, brat-- Ahh, do you mean the town next to us or the reserve? Because our reserve isn't really... A town. It's more like. A prison?" He smiled awkwardly but he was obviously trying to be understanding. "And there are about five hundred people on reserve. We're one of the bigger ones, land-wise. But we're not as populated as we could be-- Here." He handed her a tray filled with corn, one of the last things they had to carry out.

She nodded, listening to his words. "How many people are there around our age?" She asked another question, simply because she wasn't sure. 500 people? That's not very many, but then she thought about the natives themselves. That was a lot of people. She knew that typically there were only around a hundred per group. These families are from generations of natives that grew up here and continued their families here. No wonder there were so many people.

"All the successful ones have moved, since we're allowed to do that now." Sasha let himself give a small smile at his own sarcasm. "I just recently moved back myself. For my brother, I need to get him out of that house... Don't tell me parents, but I plan on kidnapping him and bringing him to the city with me when I'm done tying up loose ends around here." He gave her a wink as he set down the last tray and turned to face his eternally-pouty brother. "Shafer, how many teenagers-slash-young adults would you say live on reserve?" "I don't know. Probably a hundred. Mostly made up of the Hackett family, that family multiplies like rabbits." Shafer smirked snidely and gave a small, sassy flick of his hair. "You've gotten dorkier since I last saw you," Sasha informed him blankly and, to the younger boy's dismay, reached forward to ruffle his newly-brushed hair. "You're such a jerk."

"How many kids do they have?" Olivia asked curiously, watching them with round eyes. She wondered what it was like to have a sibling. Of course she'd grown up an only child, her parents dying before they could have any more children.

"I don't know but it's gotta be at least twelve, and then their kids had kids, so that's like twenty four grandchildren or something." Sasha explained as he lead both of them over to a table. He sat his brother down first before gesturing to the spot across from them for Olivia. He'd get looks but he was sure everyone would be... Relatively understanding. "How many kids do you want, Olivia?"

Olivia shrugged, guessing he just wanted to continue on the conversation. "I haven't really thought about it. Maybe three or four. What about you?"

Sasha pursed his lips and interlaced his fingers behind his head as he leaned back in his chair. He looked to be in thought, with his gaze fixed on the ceiling and the faintest trace of a smile ghosting across his expression. "Hm. I don't know if I want kids. I think I'd be a bad father. Just a feeling," he finally decided after a suspenseful pause. A few seconds after he finished speaking, the doors to the rec hall were pushed open and the first of many people began to file in and take their places around them. Loudly, but a sort of happy loudly. Lively.

(Sorry about that. I had a bit of school work to do...)
Olivia instantly became quiet, her cheeks flushing red and fear radiated off of her in waves. Her heart raced and her palms began to sweat. She thought that even a dog would sense that... She stared at the ground as she tried to avoid eye contact with the many people. The newcomers nearly rushed the table of food, piling their plates high with pickings. They all took their seats but did not eat, as if waiting for someone to pray or bless the food. Olivia had barely moved. She wondered if she was supposed to speak or if Sasha was, but she didn't look up to find out.

Sasha tapped both hands down on the table with a sense of finality as he rose to his feet. "Okay! Let's go get food! I haven't eaten for the past day in preparation for this glorious occasion!" He reached down and hooked an arm underneath Shafer's, pulling the angsty teen to his feet as well. "And I know you haven't been eating for the past week in preperation for nothing--" "Shut up!" Colour flushed Shafer's face as he averted his gaze and yanked his arm out of his brother's grip. "It is something." "Your wolf won't grow if you don't feed him," Sasha lowered his voice almost to inaudibility as he pulled the younger boy closer and tapped his chest, right over his heart. "Yeah well maybe I don't want to be able to hear how fast this mumatla's heart is beating any more than I already do." He didn't bother keeping his voice quiet as he sent Olivia a hard look and stomped over to the buffet.

Despite feeling beyond nervous and trying to distract herself from the current situation, Olivia watched the two brothers interact. She gave a small smile, almost envying having another person around to love and goof-off with. She did frown, however, when she noticed Sasha lower his voice, somewhat of a serious stare coming from him. What could they be talking about? She didn't want to assume and simply shook it off. Whatever. I need to eat. She told herself and followed the guys to the tables. "Would you mind telling me what half this food is, because none of it looks familiar to me." She had almost desperate eyes as she gazed at each item as if trying to decipher what they could be.

Shafer choked on his breath as he glanced back at the two before he received a scary look from his brother and was forced to look straight ahead again. Though that didn't stop the little brat from making some sort of snarky comment. "Well, this yellow stuff is corn. And--and these foreign things are called potatoes--" Sasha reached forward until his hand connected with the back of the boy's head, making him yelp and drawing more than a few curious stares. He gave Olivia an apologetic smile and spoke as he dished up his own plate. "This is fish egg soup, which sounds scary but the eggs honestly tastes like chicken. That's bannock, which is just fry-bread. Hm. Bear meat, deer meat, salmon, just grab the things you're familiar with and I'll let you pick things off my plate. Then you can come back for more if you want to."

Olivia gave a small chuckle. "Okay, sounds like a plan." She chose quite a bit of salmon, smiling to herself as she put things on to her plate. She contemplated whether or not she was brave enough to try anything. She decided she might as well and put a bit of each new thing in small piles beside the corn, salmon, and potatoes. What a wonderful, healthy meal, Olivia. She rolled her eyes at her plate. She then followed the guys back towards the others and her heart began to race again. They're all staring at me as if I'm from Mars... She felt rather uneasy, trying to avoid eye contact with any of them, finding a set of empty chairs that her, Sasha and Shafer would now fill.

Shafer settled down with the smallest servings of the most boring things on the buffet he could find. It was almost like he was specifically trying to piss his older brother off. Even if he wasn't, that was exactly the result he got. "I'm going to make you drink a Starbucks frappucino after this just to get some calories into you. You're so skinny! What, do you weigh like ninety pounds?" "A hundred and seven point four." "That's... Not good." "I have other sources that say it's very good~" Sasha blinked in surprise but kept his thoughts to himself as he took his first bite of deer meet. He chewed slowly and methodically. God, he loved food. "How is it, Olivia?"

(Sorry! I keep forgetting to post here!)
Olivia was lost in her own thoughts while eating her corn. She stared down at the hardwood floor, absently putting food in her mouth. She found herself back in her house, the day she found out her parents had died. She had been practicing the piano in the great room by herself. In the loudspeakers above her, she had the chorus playing the remainder of the song while she played in her parts. She was only 6 (or did I say 8?) but she was a talented pianist. She had started playing at age 4 when her mother bought herself a piano. Olivia had been so fascinated by it that she'd sit next to her mother and watch for hours as her fingers move flawlessly against the keys. Olivia would sometimes interject and play a note that she knew was coming up and her mother never objected. She'd smile and tell her that she did a great job. Olivia missed that smile. She knew that no one played like her mother, despite trying her best to be just like her.
Olivia shook her head, clearing her thoughts. She blinked a few times and noticed Sasha staring at her expectantly. "Oh, it's very good, thank you." She blushed in embarrassment.
