Hey there. I had a dream last night and I can't get it out of my head. I don't remember what I was doing, but there was a really good-looking guy there. Clearly I was into him because I was holding his hand and asking him to kiss me again. This type of dream is a bit reoccurring because I am forever alone </3
This guy, I've come to realize, is somewhat Native American. Something about those type of guys and their skin tones makes them beyond handsome. Lol. Well, with this one-on-one, I was hoping that the plot could be similar to that of Twilight in the sense of werewolves and a reservation. Not really imprinting action, but more of the actual 'falling in love'. The plot will consist of a new girl moving to the reservation. Understandably those who move on to the reservation have to be Native American in some form, hopefully full-blooded. Well. that is not the case with my character (she has yet to be named). She is a regular girl, age 20. Her parents passed away in a boating accident when she was 9. Since then, she has been in the custody of a rather elderly Native American man. She calls him her uncle since he was great friends with her father. The man is growing very old and wishes to retire. The only reason my girl is moving to the reservation with him is because she made a promise to stay with him till the day he passes since he does not have anybody. My girl has not problem keeping this promise. She loves him like a father and trusts him with her life. Hopefully she can meet a guy from the reservation and maybe settle down... What will happen when she moves to the reservation? She definitely won't be accepted right away by anyone her age. What will happen when the old man passes away? Will she stay or leave broken and alone?
Requirements for joining: -> Hopefully we can roleplay this through messaging on here, if not, we can do it through this thread. It doesn't matter to me. -> Be able to produce three sentences minimum per in-RP conversation. Also, I don't want a one-sided post. Ex. "Billy walked." I'd hope for something along the lines, "Billy hurried up to the cabin, dust kicking up around his shoes as he crossed the lawn." -> Hopefully this will be a long-term thing, but I don't expect certain activity levels, just a loyal person who will post from time to time. -> Your character is a male between 20-25, Native American. And I'd love a face-claim too so I can get an idea of what I'm reading/looking at.
Characters in this plot: -> Sasha, 24 (brother is Shafer) -> Shafer, 14 (brother is Sasha) -> Olivia Austin, 20

Lol. Well, many people are drawn to either blondes or certain nationalities... I definitely didn't mean it to sound racist. my bad. I'll go change that. Thank you for kindly pointing it out. I'd be interested to know what you think about the plot.

it's fine fam and i've got two characters who both live on reserve in their canonverse. Shafer and Sasha. The one I was going to use mainly would be Sasha, the older brother. He's 24. Shafer's 14. And at this point in his canonverse, he would be about to move to the city but your character could be the reason he decides to stick around?

Hmm... I do like that idea. Though the names (there is nothing wrong with them) are different. I think the hardest part for me would be remembering that Sasha is male and Shafer is female. lol
Now, all I need to do this think of a name for my character.
And do you want to roleplay this on here or through PM?

They're both guys ^^ And actually Sasha was originally a male name. In Europe, its mostly men named Sasha. I think I'd like to do it here unless you really want to do it over PM. I usually keep my rps public.

Oh, sorry. I must be tired if I can't read a simple sentence. lol :3
No, no. I have no problem doing it here. (:
Oh, yes, I've heard it both ways. Although to me, it seems more natural as a man's name. lol, don't know why exactly.

I actually didn't mention Shafer's gender, don't worry about it! And yeah, I can see why. You're American, yes?
And I'm thinking the reservation would be situated on British Columbia's west coast? In Canada

Yes. How'd you know? lol Where are you from/live? Sure, British Columbia sounds good. Should I start this with Olivia (that's what I named my character) meeting the tribe for the first time?

I'm from Canada. And uh. We're doing modern times right??

Yes, modern. Perhaps within the past 10 years up to now works for me.
What time zone are you in, out of curiosity?
I'm in the Eastern Time Zone. I have work tomorrow so I'm going to hop off now.
Thank you for joining. I shall hopefully be on sometime in the late afternoon. (:

Ok. So. Modern. They're not in tribes anymore, hun. And I actually have no idea what time zone I'm in but it's 8:41 rn. See you tomorrow ~

Oh, there aren't any? Really? We still have the Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, US....
Actually we can really move the "modern" to perhaps the 20th or 21th century lol.
Do you live on the west coast of Canada? You're either in the Pacific Standard Time (which is 3hrs behind Eastern) or Mountain Standard Time (2hrs behind). Then again, I'm actually unsure if Canada has different zones than the USA.

Yes, that's their name, but they're not like. In select groups anymore, a reservation is just like a neighbourhood. And yeah, we could. But that's honestly like. A really, really dark time period for the natives, are you sure you want to go there? There's like residential schools and a lot of murder and racism and I'm really not one for sugar coating things
Pacific Standard, that's my time ^^

Well, I mean, the only reason I put "tribe" is mainly because of how "Twilight" was written -- Just natives in a specific area and not many people go on their lands... I really don't want to have a 'dark period' to roleplay, mainly because I don't know too much about the subject.
Cool. You're 3 hours behind me, like I said earlier. So, it's like 12, almost 1 right now?

How would you want Olivia to meet everyone? I like being accurate. So you could either do some research or we could stick with modern...?
Yeah it's 1 now.

Well, sometimes the rez will get together for a meal. Like at Christmas time, y'know. Want them to meet at the rec hall on Christmas day?
And yeah I'm good with modern!

(Hey, I'm back. Oh, is there any famous person that kinda looks like your character, just so I can get an idea of what he looks like?)
Olivia stared in the mirror, scrutinizing her appearance. She sighed, holding her hair back so she could get a good look at her outfit. She wore dark jeans, black ankle books and a simple soft blue tank top with a white sweater. It was a bit chilly out that afternoon, but being from Pennsylvania, she was used to the cold. It really wasn't that cold, about 10 degrees Celsius. (50 in F) She grabbed her grey hat with a fluffy bob at the top and headed out the door. She had a short walk to the community center. She was extremely nervous about meeting people her age. She was right in the gap between teenager and adult. 20 was an awkward age anyway. Legally, one could not drink, but could hang with people who could. She pushed hair out of her face as she walked down the cold street alone. She checked her leather watch on her right wrist. It was 3:13 pm. She turned away from the watch, knowing that she was going to be late. She had two minutes to get there... despite it being a super small town, she didn't want to get lost. Her uncle had told her exactly how to get there, but still, there were unknowns. She reached the center, opened one of the blue metal doors. There were chairs set up in the middle of the room, but nobody was there. She sighed, placing her hands on her face. Nobody was here yet. She had figured that no one would want to meet an outsider, but she had at least assumed that there may be a few girls there... Now that she thought about it, girls would feel the most threatened by her. She shook her head, trying not to cry. She usually didn't cry, but this really hit her hard. She checked her watch again. 3:19 pm. She didn't know what to do now... She looked around, trying to figure out what to do next. She took a seat in a chair that faced the center of the floor, back to the door. "Well, this sucks." She spoke aloud, staring at her hands.
(Are we making them werewolves or just regular natives?)

Sasha resented the situation a fair bit. It wasn't the free food he was opposed to or the socialization with his relatives, it was just the fact that he actually had to take time off work to go to this stupid thing. He really missed the years when he wasn't expected to have a job or do anything with himself. The tall Native sighed dramatically as he dragged his little brother along the stretch of road just before the rec centre. "We have to go," he clarified for the umpteenth time, "our parents want us there. Dinner's at four and if we're not there to help out with the buffet at least a little bit, Evie might literally kill us-- Let go of my hair! Brat!" Sasha smacked Shafer upside the head sharply. That just was foul play. The infuriating teenager smiled up at Sasha as he rubbed at the back of his head. "I hear a new girl just moved onto the rez. White girl." Sasha scoffed at that and tried not to cringe. White people almost never moved onto the reservation voluntarily, she couldn't possibly want to be here. She was probably going to be rude. He had almost formed a complete opinion about her by the time he pushed open the doors to the hall. And she... She was already here. He gave an awkward chuckle as the door clicked shut behind him. Shafer tucked himself into his big brother's side, though he would vehemently deny it, along with anything else related to his shyness. "Hi, there. You the new girl?" Sasha inquired gently.
Whatever you want))

(Oh my goodness <3<3<3 Werewolves sounds like it would be fun...)
Olivia literally jumped out of her chair, not expecting to see anyone. "Oh, uh, yes, sorry." She stammered, turning to look up at him. Her expression changed from surprise to a bit of fear. Dang, he was hot! "Yes. Hi. My name is Olivia." She walked over to him and wondered if she should stick her hand out in greeting, but thought better of it. Her heart raced as she thought more about how handsome he looked. She then took notice of the slightly shorter boy at his side. "Hi there. What are your names?" She asked expectantly, casting glances between them. They seemed nice enough. Olivia had no idea that Sasha had already given her a predetermined personality type and attitude.

Haha alright))
Sasha's strong brow raised when Olivia gifted him such a dramatic reaction. It was almost endearing. He smiled and draped an arm over his shorter brother's shoulders. Even though he was ten years his senior, he'd obviously inherited most of the height from his father, along with some strongly masculine facial features, while Shafer obviously took after their mother. Sasha was handsome. Shafer was ah. Pretty. One would probably mistake him for a girl if they didn't pay much attention. "Olivia," Sasha repeated in the most friendly tone he could muster. He wasn't usually a very welcoming individual but the poor creature in front of him was obviously scared to death and he couldn't help but find it kind of adorable. "My name's Sasha. This is my brother Shafer--" his hand moved from the boy's shoulder to his hair, giving the long strands a playful ruffle, despite his grumbled protests, "--we're just here to help a bit with the food. I suggest you wait until everyone shows up to pick a table. We usually sit according to family." He spoke pointedly, all too aware of the fact that she wouldn't have any real family in the community.

"Oh, you two have uh, interesting names," She smiled a bit, then her smile vanished when he mentioned family placements. "Oh. I see." She replied, glancing over at the white table-clothed tables. "Guess I'll be dining alone then." She bit her lip before turning back to them. "I take it that I'm the first white person who's sat at these tables?" She asked, eyes wandering to their appearances and to what Sasha would reply. Seemed he was taking the lead on speaking between the two of them; him and Shafer.

"Yeah, our mother is uh. Well. Anyway." Sasha cut himself off from oversharing with an awkward bite of his lip and averted his gaze to the kitchen, really wanting out of the conversation so he wouldn't say something he'd regret. Shafer seemed to have the same general idea as he ducked out from under Sasha's protective arm and cast him an all too self righteous smile before scurrying off to the kitchen. Sasha cursed him internally but kept his exterior rather level. He glanced at Olivia when she spoke again, as if surprised by the fact that she decided to continue. "Uhh. No. Definitely not the first. But we don't get a lot of your kind around here, no... That was weird, I didn't mean to say 'your kind' like that. I just don't really know how to talk to you. Ah what's your connection to the reserve?"

"It's fine," Olivia shrugged at his comment about her, brushing it off. "Well, my godfather is Jeb Bowman. He raised me after my parents died."
(Maybe Jeb should be an elder or something and everybody knows who he is)
