So part of my New Year's resolution is to make an RP and not abandon it, for I have developed a nasty habit of doing that. So, to help fulfill my resolution, I'm proposing this idea for a roleplay.
Regular summer camp roleplays are cliché and quite frankly rather boring without a unique concept to spice them up. What if we were to make a summer boot camp rp? Basically, it would be a summer camp for troubled and troublesome teens aged 13 - 17, with the aim of getting them back on the correct path through discipline, strict schedules, and lots of physical exercise. In between all of this, campers would be encouraged to form friendships (and maybe even relationships) with one another as they work their way toward a better future.
Thoughts?

Yooo, this sounds cool. My human RP skills are really rusty, but I'm up for it!
This is probably gonna bring back some ClawClan flashbacks oops

Reliving the war memoriesSweet! I knew you'd pop up eventually My human RP skills are rusty, too, but seeing as how my own story is a human-military thing this is the best thing for me rn

Alright; here you go! I thought an overall dark green sort of color scheme would work, although I'm not quite so happy with the result. If you want me to change up something, just say the word. <3

Mᴏᴏɴ - - Nice, very nice. My other idea for this RP was to do a human replica of ClawClan, but I don't know the staff's stance on tanks/guns/mortars etc. @roswell Sand

Ooh, that'd be even better. I'm not sure what the admins' thoughts on firearms are, though. Hm...

Mᴏᴏɴ - - I'm hoping they're okay with it as long as we don't get too gory or anything. I'm also willing to include a disclaimer about it, too, if it'd make them feel better. Just waiting for the staff to respond.

I'll write up a full reply soon ^^; So, for gore: don't be graphic with it, and realize there's users here that are more sensitive than others. If you plan on including decapitation, characters losing limbs, etc., it's not allowed. more info ;; wcrpforums.com/board/17/faqs?q=gore+

Sand Yeah I wasn't planning on allowing anything excessive. My main question is if the use of artillery, rifles, pistols, tanks etc by characters is permitted.

Personally, I think that'd be fine as long as it wouldn't get out of hand. You could always put a warning if people dislike gun, gun violence, or just violence in general. If you'd like, I'll tag @redx for her opinion too ^^

Mᴏᴏɴ - -Want to do an actual military RP then? We can just make up our own country; I'll base its Armed Forces on those of my own fictional country's.

Hm... I have two proposals:
- The services are in a time of great war among the nations, and their enemy is stronger than all else. And with these growing times of ruthless conflict, more soldiers are needed to help defend the country. A group of twelve young teenagers aged 13-16 have been shipped away to a military training camp; some drafted against their willing, some enlisting willingly, wanting to eventually fight on the front lines. The various camps around the area are run by commanding officers - and not just any officers: strict, tough-as-nails drill sergeants who detest insubordination and delinquency. They are there not only to vigorously train the cadets for war, but to also rid them of vices they might have picked up in their lifetime. Eventually, the trainees will rank up and be shipped off to a unit, where they will spend the most of their lifetime fighting for their nation. ( Basically, the plot of CC, but humanized. )
- Years have passed, and the war is at full force. The marshal is ordering more platoons to be sent to the front lines. Squads from all divisions are being sent out to the front without warning, and the newly-ranked privates are fighting for their very lives against the enemy. Some are training to become medical practitioners or COs, others are simply fighting to survive out in the "wilderness", so to call the warzones. Occasionally, in between midterm training, they will have downtime - including R&R - and will have opportunities to write letters, visit family, or at the least, talk among their peers. But the life of a soldier is hard one, and it's either kill or die out there.

Mᴏᴏɴ - - I like the first one, except this time I think cutting down on the time we spend roleplaying Basic would be a smart move.

Aww, you're welcome. >///<
Alright, let's see. Of course it's not going to be a peaceful utopia, but not too dystopian, either. There's an air of geniality and charity but with the time of war going on, the overall 'aura' of the place is bleak and maybe even a bit unwelcoming.
The army is the most respected organization in the land, being that they are the largest and best protection force that the people have. Both men and women can enlist in the military, but the main age group that is targeted for this recruitment are the young teenagers. Usually the recruitment happens against the children's' or parents' will, simply because the wartime is getting slowly worse with each passing day.
Instead of a Claw-Bearing Ceremony, a "dog tag-bearing ritual" is performed at every soldier's funeral. Despite being used mainly for identification purposes, dog tags are also seen as a symbol of brotherhood and accomplishment. Subsequently to the soldier's interment, the commanding officer will take that soldier's necklace(s), wrap it in a sealed cloth, and give it to a family member, significant other, or loved one of the combatant.
That's all I have at them moment.
