Rules
Literacy- Umbraclan is a semi-advanced to advanced role-play. This does mean that we would prefer to have a minimum of four sentence responses per character. Of course there will be times where this may be difficult, which is alright, but as a rule please try to keep with the minimum for role-play responses. Also please try to stay grammatically correct, it's alright to have some errors but please don't use text speak, and try to stay in third person when roleplaying.
Activity- Please try to be on At least three times during the week, not including the weekend, five times including the weekend for higher ranks {including prophecy cats, who are crucial to the plot}. We understand that life gets in the way often, and if something comes up please let us know in advance! After 1 week you will be given a warning and a PM, and after two weeks you will be put as inactive and your cats will be poofed away, possibly killed off for plot purposes. If you know you will be gone for an amount of time and want your cats to still be involved in the plots, you can choose an active member to role-play your character
LGBTQA+ Characters are welcomed- Any type of cat is welcomed into the fold of Umbraclan, and if you are uncomfortable with this we suggest that you reconsider joining our clan.
Plots, Prophecies, and Perils- Please clear any type of major plot, prophecy, or anything that will effect the clan as a whole, with either the head of the clan (Screamer) or any of the co-creators (those are listed on the members portion of the clan page). We welcome events happening in the clan, it helps keep the clan running, just please clear them through us first!
Mary-Sues, Gary-Stues and the like Please, please, please, for the love of star clan do not make a perfect character. We can't have every cat being the "best at everything." That being said, we do welcome talented cats, just give them weaknesses. For example, they may be a fantastic fighter, but when not fighting they are the clumsiest cat alive, to the point where their warriors ceremony was held back because they couldn't even catch a mouse. Put the word warriors in the other box
Realism- Try to keep your cats as realistic as possible. It's fine to have cats with odd patterns, we've all seen pictures of cats with unlikely fur markings. This is alright, they do this in the cannon series. But please do not have a pink cat with kaleidoscope eyes. A good rule of thumb is if you can find a picture of the pelt and eye color, then you should be good. Put of the forest as the second part of the password in the other box.
Be Respectful- We really want to have fun on this rp, and one of the biggest ways to have fun is being respectful and making sure everyone feels important. Don't try to start any fights, and remember, a character might be rude but the person behind the character isn't.
