Orion put his stolen files away and locked the safe before leaving once more. He never thought about how he hadn't gotten a text back. For now, he'd take to wandering the large campus in hopes of finding a spot to go at whatever time of night to finally do some of his homework. If he made it to the dance studio in time, they'd leave it up to him to lock up. Security knew him well enough at this point.
Gosh I honestly drew a black while replying.

Michiko finally finished her shift, and she finally started back for her dorm. The streets were dark, and Michiko shivered. To be honest, the dark was her biggest fear. Michiko felt her heart face as she heard the nightmares creep up on her: metal scrapes and creeping. She started running back to her dorm, which involved passing the music studio. Her heart thumped wildly as she run. Eventually, her asthma acted up, and she slowed to a brisk walk, and she was just passing the music building.

Having decided on doing such, Orion started for the music building. By now he's pulled up his hood and shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked, wondering if he building itself had been locked yet. And soon enough he was near the building.
He didn't get the chance to see if the doors were locked as the sound of somebody slowing from a run caught his attention, turning around and drawing his hood back, and looking at the figure. Looked familiar, but it was dark. He had good sight in the dark, but even still, it was surely past midnight by now - too dark to make out accurate details. "Are you alright?" He couldn't help but ask - they'd been running after all. Was somebody following them? Was it some teen running from home and passing through campus? Well, he'd (hopefully) find out.

Michiko stopped dead in her tracks. She was panting, her eyes wide and hair wild. She looked down, panting. "Hey" she said nonchalantly, brushing off the fact she looked terrified. "I'm just out for a run," she laughed nervously. She felt a sense of comfort wash over her until she realized it was Orion. "Sorry, I was at work. Does tommorow at 5 work for you?" She decided that for now acting normal was the best. She didn't want to tip him off that she was scared. It was an interesting conundrum- how could she befriend someone who gave her such odd vibes.

He watched her, noting her current appearance. He heard the nervousness in her voice and how scared she looked. Was she lying? Maybe somebody was following her... Orion decided he'd jump into a fight for her if she needed it. If somebody was after her, he'd break their will to chase her down. And maybe their arm. Whatever happened.
But then he himself was being questioned and everything was seemingly normal between them. But he knew better - there was something wrong with the space between them. It felt a bit more tense than it had earlier. Ah, but her question still hung in the air. "Yeah, 5 sounds great," he responded, deciding not to question the mild change in whatever they had between each other.

Michiko forced a smile as her extreme exsusghtion washed over her body. Her eyes drooped a bit and all of a sudden she just wanted to just be eating cookies with her Grandmother. She was tired of being alone in the world, unable to trust anyone. Every ion in her Body was screaming for her to just let him in,but every ion of her brain was screaming to just leave and lock him out. Right then, though, the lonliness was winning, and she wanted was a friend. The darkness around her was driving her towards another being at this point. She looked at him and in a moment of desperation, asked. "Can I uh..canI join you for a bit?" She looked down, blushing and embarresed. The anxiety was terrible tonight, and she didn't want to be alone. She had forgotten just how nice having a companion was, and she was not eager to slip beneath the cold water of isolation again.

Michiko's smile was forced. He could tell - he'd seen them a lot in his life time. He wondered just what had happened to have her reacting to him in such a way. There was no way that she'd found out his true intentions. He was the only one that knew about his ultimate goal, so he didn't consider that any longer.
Orion noticed another change in her demeanor, though couldn't exactly place what it was. With the next question she presented, the fae couldn't help but tilt his head slightly. She wanted to join him? She'd seemed to be in such a rush only moments ago... "Sure," he answered, wondering what she was going through. Maybe she just didn't want to be alone. He understood that, so he agreed without hesitation.

Michiko could have cried she was so relieved. She walked into the studio with him and sat down at the piano. She gently stroked the keys before randomly playing a progression of heart wrenching suspended chords mixed with minor chords. She replayed all the memories of her grandmother in her head, and of all the memories she missed with her only friend, Michiko just let the music speak for her in the room's silence. She felt tears pool in her eyes, and they dripped on the piano and she bowed her head to hide her emotions while she played. A shield of light glowed Fromm her, the light of the moon- gentle and lonely as she played. She just needed to music to de stress and sort out her feelings. She always worked through emotions by listening to the chords she played while thinking. She then thought about Orrion. At first it was a triplet rhythm of major to minor and then it was a triumphant melody of major chords that made the heart flutter with adventure. And then it was minor chords- torn between heart break and hope. She just let the music flow through her- forgetting where she was and enjoying the silence between him as she forget where she was and she struggled to hold on to the last bit of the idea of who she was. Her whiole world had been flipped that day, and the only person with answers was standing in the room- God was in heaven And couldn't answer, and yet she was too scared to ask him anything. She wanted to get closer, but she was scared he would betray her just like everyone else. She decided to not make any other advances unless he did, and that she would just let it flow like the music. She was dazed by that point- too lulled in the music and moonlight to focus on reality unless pulled back into it.

Noting the relief, Orion immediately turned and pulled open the door, silently thanking whoever had left it unlocked. Walking in with her, he let the silence linger as he walked with her to the dance studio, which held a piano for practice such as theirs. Or for the drama students. More likely the drama students. Even still, it was nice to know there was one in here.
While she took a seat at the instrument, the fae took his place on the floor, back against the studio mirrors and bag besides him. Two papers, one presentation, one group project and a quiz. In reality, it wasn't that much due to their varying due dates, but they were starting to over lap because of his procrastination. If he could just get at least one hint done-
The piano was beautiful. Piano? Looking up from everything he'd pulled out while he'd made his mental list of assignments, he saw her playing the instrument. It sounded so sad... While unable to see her face, Orion was sure she was playing straight from her heart. He watched as her head dropped an the lights that streamed in bent to her subconscious will. Even now she looked amazing...
Then the feeling changed. Minor turned major and warmed his heart a bit. What was this in relation to? In his own mind, it wasn't connected to the day's earlier events. All to soon it was minor once more and whatever warmth had been created in his heart quickly dissipated. A slight frown slowly worked its way onto his face the longer he listened. He didn't like the way it sounded - it was sad yet hopeful and hit much too close to home. Part of him didn't want to listen anymore, as it was dragging up things he no longer wanted to think about.
That meant it was time to speak up. "Michiko, are you really okay?"

Michiko snapped out of her trance as she came back to reality. "I'm fine," she said and looked up, smiling. She had forgotten that he was there. She just laughed off her sadness a bit. "I'm so sorry. I got carried away. I naturally play more sad music," she shrugged and laughed more. She had mostly blended into the piano by the way of moonlight. She shook her head a bit. "Anyway, sorry for just barging in on your practice. I could leave if you want, or we could practice or talk or...sorry. I'm not really good at the whole friend thing. If we are friends..or. Umm," she drifted off, fading more into the moonlight. She had no clue how to do this, and she didn't want to seem weird, but she had no idea how to handle the situation.

When she looked up smiling, the male's eyes flooded with concern. Why was she lying? Well, she didn't really know him to well. He'd lie about his own well being as well, so it wasn't like he was really allowed to say much on the subject. As the other student tried to laugh off her feelings and conjured an excuse, he couldn't help but look away for a moment.
He could literally see through her at this point, and it pained him a decent amount, though he couldn't place why. Instead of trying to form a proper response, Orion listened as she talked, looking back at her at the mention of being friends. "I didn't come to practice, I just have work to do..." he trailed off, biting his lower lip for a moment. 'Friends.' The term wasn't foreign to him, however he couldn't recall ever having a true friend. "Friends... yeah, I like the sound of that."

Michiko started crying almost immediately . The moonlight bent around her as she became one with the piano back ground. She didn't want to lose the friend she just made to a few tears. This was the first friend she had mad other than their Gram in her years in the Earth realm. "Thank you," she said, trying to keep the tears from choking up her voice. She was so elated to finally not be a lone again. Hopefully, he would stay her friend and not betray her. If he did, she had no doubt it would be a while before she trusted anyone ever again.

Orion blinked, staring at her. She was crying. Was that good? Had he said something wrong? He'd barely said anything at all! A bit of panic entered his eyes as he stood, trying to figure out what to do. He couldn't even see her at this point. What if she didn't stop? Was she going to leave the room again? If he had to be honest, he didn't prefer being alone at this point either.
'Thank you.' The fae barely heard it through his panicked thoughts, but he did. Visibly relaxing, he looked at her and gave a slow nod. "I haven't done anything worth thanking..." While he'd said it aloud, he hadn't meant to. There was no reason to thank him considering his hidden intentions. He wanted her gone. A large part of him to wanted to end her existence, but a small (and growing) part of him wanted to get closer to her, as close as she would allow him to get. And the thought honestly scared him.

Michiko smiled and said,"For being my friend. I don't think I've ever had one before," she was blended into the background, but underneath the moonlight she was beaming. She wiped her tears away and faded back into veiw. "Sorry, I'm not usually this emotional. I'm also not usually talkative, so I suppose nothing is abnormal at this point," she giggled a bit.

Michiko laid her head against the wall and shut her eyes. She could keep talking with her eyes shut. She was sure of it. That was until the emotions of the day caught up to her, and she fell asleep leaning against the wall.

When she responded to him, he couldn't help but look over to where he assumed she was still sitting. Surely it was do to her eyes and obvious lack of memory that she referred to him in such a way. Even still, it warmed him. "Nothing to apologize for," Orion murmured. It wasn't as if he was going to scold her for being emotional or anything. It happened to everyone at times, and he understood. Though, when she giggled, the male couldn't help the slight grin that now shaped his features.
It wasn't long before she was asleep, and he was unsure of what to do. He didn't know where her dorm was, so taking her back wasn't an option. That really only left him to stay with her until she woke, figuring it would be rude to wake her. So, he turned to his work, letting his laptop open with a simple thought as he brought a note book into his lap. While he used his abilities to operate the laptop, he'd be able to outline either one of his essays in his notebook without repeated switching tasks.

Michoko slowly faded back into awareness after several minutes of being asleep. The odd sleep cycle she had usually disrupted her several times before she actually fell asleep, and this was one of those disruptions in the cycle.mMichiko started when she saw the laptop move on its one. It may be the fact that she was many hours overdue of sleep, but she swore she saw it move on its on. Michiko squeaked a bit and asked hesitantly, "What model is that?" she asked, confused. It had to just be a new update, right? They were both human, right. Surely there was a responsible explanation for what she saw.

The male remained unaware, finally being productive for once in his life as he made decent head way in his outline. The suddenness of her voice made him jump slightly as his gaze snapped over to her. It took him a minute to process the question before looking back at the laptop that sat on the floor before him. "The latest MacBook, I think... why?"
What had she seen? He'd barely done anything. If she'd seen the laptop open in its own, he was likely done for. Unless he could find a way to play it off. Though, that'd be hard. Maybe he could play it as her being tired. Yeah, just a trick of the eyes. Though, the fae could only hope that would work.

Michiko froze. An icy chill washed over her, and she felt her breath catch in her throat. She would have believed him, except that she had gotten the newest version of the MacBook with the money she had saved up from her part time job in high school. The newest model had the best garage band app, and it made her hellish composition class a lot easier. Never in all her time of using it had her computer just OPEN on its own. "That computer doesn't have that functional capability." She stammered out, eyes widening. "I'm sorry, could you explain how that happened please? " she was terrified to hear his answer. This was like a nightmare- maybe he really was dangerous. If he was a little extraordinary, she could handle it, but she somehow sensed it ran deeper. He was different in looks, and this power to control metal started bringing images of her nightmares into her mind. Her dark past had always made her skeptical, but this just set off alarms on all new levels.

He watched her, tense and on edge. He'd bolt before anything else in all honesty, leaving his last bit of normalcy with their shattered friendship. Orion had no idea how this situation was going to go, and with everything he thought he wanted to do, it could ultimately make or break his plans. Plans that he was unsure he wanted to stick to.
Even still, his face remained even in expression despite the flood emotions in his eyes. He was panicked and worrying, unsure of how things would end up. When she said something about functional capability, he couldn't help but be confused. She'd never specified anything, though he didn't have the energy or proper mental state to even try to lie to her while keeping his guilt at bay. So when she asked for an explanation, his anxieties started.
He wanted her to know. God, how he wanted her to know what they really were. How would she take it? Would she even believe him? 'You're not good enough to be believed,' his thoughts told him. 'She'll leave. And you know it.' By now he was biting his bottom lip and avoiding her eyes. "... You won't believe me," Orion finally ground out, trying to get his thoughts under control.
