I don't get it: Why does everyone hate ThunderClan so much? I thought it was going to be everyone's favorite clan.

They are kinda bland. They are a great start to the serious, but the whole series didn't need to revolve around them. All the other clans have things that make them unique, like being able to swim, or run fast, but thunderclan doesn't really have much to set them apart other than living in a forest. They are supposed to be good at hunting and fighting in thick undergrowth, but this is a basic cat trait.

Oh, that helps me understand a bit more. I really wonder who Erin Hunter's favorite Clan is. My best guess would be ThunderClan because she writes so much about it. Her entire series revolves around it. Anything else? It seems strange that, that is the only reason people dislike ThunderClan.

Bramblestar, is ThunderClan your favorite Clan?

True, I do have to say that they don't say much about the other Clans unless it is involving ThunderClan.

❈ -- Ya. Let's go WindClan.
thunderclan is full with mary/gary sues. Well, half at least, and usually are the saviors. And like, they're always 'saving' the other clans and it's kinda annoying to have the spotlight on them all the time.

True, no one else really saves the other Clan's butts.

True. ThunderClan is always the saviors of the other Clans and the focus is always on them. Who was the leader of the 6 cats who first made The Great Journey? Brambleclaw. Which Clan was he in? ThunderClan. And what Clan helped "save" SkyClan? ThunderClan. Which Clan helped the Tribe of Rushing Water when they were attacked by rogues? ThunderClan. Which Clan has most of the prophecies? ThunderClan. Which Clan does the books mostly focus on? ThunderClan. It has come to the point now where if they ever did a small series in another Clan, a lot of fans would find it weird. It shouldn't be like that. I mean, sure, you need a main "character" in a story, but it is as equally as important to find a balance between using the "main character" and "other characters". For example, I caught myself when I was reading "Mistystar's Omen" thinking, "I wonder what is going on in ThunderClan right now?" Wow. You have such a great point there.

I'm sure there are more points I could add (with the new series being out and all), but I personally haven't read them because I have found the series to be getting quite stale over the past little while. What the series needs is to either to go away for a while, and/or it needs somewhat of a complete re-evaluation, imo. So... if you could make the series go in any direction you would want, where would you take it?

Some of the younger fans (under 13) have ThunderClan as their favorites but the older ones (over 13) are more likely to have another clan as their favorite.
But it does kind of make sense for someone to have ThunderClan as their favorite clan. (just look above, people explained why lol)

I get it but I don't. The one Clan for the POV the entire series except novellas and SEs and even then most are ThunderClan? Jeesh- overkill. But ThunderClan is ok, I suppose.

I think people hate it because it's what we always see. People want to know what the other Clans are like, what the cats in the other Clans are like, etc. When I was younger (and trying too hard to be edgy) I was always like "boo ThunderClan is full of boring goody two-shoes", but as I've gotten older I appreciate ThunderClan. They are peaceful and fight when it is necessary. Plus their territory is really nice.
