Bion nodded. He kept his face carefully neutral. "What do you want to do now?" Bion asked slowly. He could see Saber was still adapting to the new information. Bion could see two ways to deal with this new information. They could try to find this family or go to another god. Maybe Ares since Saber is a warrior and all. 'Perhaps go to another one of the Pantheon.' He slowly said. 'Will you be alright travelling with me again, Bion?' He asked, looking up at the male. 'I know it's a lot to ask for... and I have no idea what kind of trials the next one will put us through.'

Bion shrugged. There was really no reason not to go with Saber. Money would be the only issue but Bion had some saved up. Their dangerous trials were pretty exciting and new. Delivering stuff and writing poems for snobby nobles was not. "Yeah. I got to make sure you don't die or get lost now. I would want some other poor person to be stuck with you." He teased lightly as he made sure all the things in his bag where arranged. He hoped Saber wouldn't take his words too seriously but didn't get the wrong idea. He did like Saber but didn't really want to get attached, or share too much and make the whole trip awkward.

Saber laughed at the males comments, shaking his head; he was just glad Bion was staying with him. 'Surely I'm not that difficult to take care of, am I?' He asked, playful tone a little flirty as he looked at him. He wondered which temple to go to next; perhaps Ares, or even Hypnos.

"Just a tad." Bion teased back. He smiled at the other male's words. The male slung his pack over his shoulder and stood up. He resisted the need to grunt at the new weight. It wasn't too heavy, just new. He had gotten more supplies now that he was traveling with someone else. Not to mention his new quiver or bow also taking up space. "I think we should head towards Ares. This challenges might be a bit tougher than Zeus in the fighting region. He isn't know to be logical about things. Much more of the running in type." He said.

Saber snorted as Bion teased him, before stretching out his limbs with a groan and releasing a yawn. 'I can carry some things if you'd like.' He offered, looking a little worried that he himself didn't seem to be carrying all that much or helping Bion. 'Ares sounds like a good idea.' He then confirmed. 'I'm sure we'll find a way to complete whatever challenge he sets for us; if we can complete a task from Zeus, Ares should be a walk in the park.' He smiled positively at the other demigod, heading out with him and back onto the road. ((I'm honestly so sorry, I've actually been waiting for you to reply and never noticed that I didn't! ))

Bion looked towards the sky. "I'm not too sure about that. Ares may be the god of war but he is basically a knucklehead." It was the harsh truth. Ares was the God if jocks and those without patience for true war. "He would tell us to prove ourselves by running at an army without clothes and killing everyone with our bare hands." He said with a slight smile. The whole thing sounded ridiculous but very much Ares style. He had met Ares once and was promptly told to make him a love poem for Aphrodite. It was awkward to say the least.
(Do you have an idea for Ares' test? )

Saber burst out laughing at Bion's description of the god, before laughing even harder at the image in his head of the two of them running, buck naked, towards a giant army. 'I really, really hope it doesn't come to that.' He wheezed, wiping tears from his eyes.

Sounds good! What if they were another god's/goddess's boars so they have to make it up to them after killing them? )
Bion grinned even wider as the other male laughed. He felt oddly proud of making Saber laugh. He kept his green eyes on his laughing companion though looked away as he stopped laughing. He would make jokes in the future. "That makes the both of us." He agreed with a nod.

Goddess of the hunt! = another quest, and also funny because she's Bions aunt )) Saber smiled widely for most of the rest of the journey, his heart warm and soul happy at where he currently was; at Bion's side. The male made him laugh, and sometimes made him feel fuzzy. He loved every moment he was with him. 'I'm strangely looking forwards to this next quest.' He said, voice a curious lilt.

Family reunions! So much fun for the godly. )
"Did you already forget the whole naked and fighting part?" Bion asked, a little confused. He did like the 'quests', but always had this worry when going on them. Saber or him could get hurt and even die. He almost asked the other male if it was worth it. Some fragments of the past vs. life-threatening battles? Bion didn't know if it was worth it. But if Saber thought they were important, then Bion would go along. Saber does turn into a cat. I would be pretty curious on how he learned to do that. Bion thought before looking over at Saber.

Saber exploded into hysterics for the second time as the mental image was thrown at him again, heaving to lean on a nearby tree to support himself as he wheezed and gasped for breath. 'I c- ahaha!!' He wiped tears from his eyes once more, a ridiculously wide grin on his lips. 'We'll be- we'll be fine!' He breathlessly replied, still giggling.

Bion couldn't help but to grin again at Saber's laughing. The other man really put all his energy into it when he laughed."Are you sure? You succumbed to a simple joke. I'm not sure you're fit enough for Areas." Bion teased lightly.

The laugh became a little more high pitched as Bion teased him, and Saber had to sit down to brace himself. 'I'll be- I'll be fine, I p-promise.' He grinned, slowly trying to calm himself down. 'I can't get that image out of- my head!' He said, wheezing again as it came back to him for a third time. 'It gets worse every time I think of it!!'

Bion couldn't help but to grin and laugh along with Saber. Yes, the idea was funny, but Saber laughing was better. The other man really did put all his energy and heart into laughing. It was really something to be seen. "It wouldn't be that bad. At least the bards would have something new to talk about." He joked as he offered a hand for Saber.

Saber smiled widely and took it, allowing Bion to help him back up as they continued to walk, shoulders brushing slightly in a now amiable silence. Saber cast his gaze to the sky, watching the clouds roll through the sea of blue, and wondered- not for the first time- where he had come from, and where he was going.
((Where did you come from cotton eyed joe))

Saber, the original cotton eyed joe. Skip to the temple? )
Bion remained silent. He kept his green eyes on the road. It was odd. Being on the road with Saber felt natural. Before, traveling was just something to do. He had traveling companions before but he was always eager to split ways. And he had no complaints being alone. Now, he would hate to part ways. he sighed. What had he gotten himself into? There was no way this could end well. Though Bion found he really didn't care.

What had he gotten himself into? There was no way this could end well. Though Bion found he really didn't care. It took them a good few hours on the road to reach the temple, Saber chatting in a friendly manner, or just travelling in the comfortable silence. The temple was large, not as big as Zeus but a decent size. The pillars were painted bright reds and deep black, with many weapons scattered around as old offerings. 'Now then... what do we offer ol' ares?' Saber asked.

Bion hummed lightly as he walked up to the temple. "Well, he seems to have plenty of weapons, so I would cross that one off our list." He said, lightly kicking a rusty spear out of his path. He really didn't know what to give Ares. He hadn't planned for an offering and wasn't willing to part with his weapons or food. "Maybe we don't offer? With Zeus we didn't. I would hate to make it seem like we were bias." He said, looking back at Saber when he reached the entrance.

Saber said, smiling lightly and climbing the steps to the temple. He stepped inside and was immediately filled with overpowering anger- he leapt backwards and crashed into Bion, the two tumbling down the steps, Saber quickly flipping them so Bion wouldn't get hurt and he'd land on top of him. He groaned, the anger washing away. 'Oh, gods.' He breathed. 'Don't follow me in there. I stepped inside- and it- it was like I just- I wanted to kill everything and anything I could get my hands on.' He looked terrified, and was shaking visibly beneath Bion, his breathing uneven from the rush of adrenaline he'd had.

Bion nodded. Saber's fighting ability was nothing to scoff at. It was defiantly better than the rusty weapons with...blood? Who would bring a bloody weapon to-. These thoughts were cut off as Saber suddenly turned on Bion. He opened his mouth but could get nothing out before Saber tackled him. Bion was in shock as they tumbled down the stairs. His mind reeled as the adrenaline flooded his system and pulled him out of shock. When they landed on the dusty ground, he quickly scrabbled away doing some kind of weird crab walk. He stopped when his back hit a pillar. He panted and stared at Saber with wide eyes. His muscles relaxed a fraction as the other man explained. It made sense, but that didn't mean the experience wasn't scary as hell. He nodded to show that he understood. He could see the other man was just as shaken up, which caused a spike of guilt to stab Bion, but he couldn't muster up any words of comfort.

Saber breathed, seeing how much he'd scared the other demigod. He slowly got to his feet, not wanting to scare him further, and gently approached, placing his hand softly on Bion's shoulder. 'I didn't mean to, I'm sorry.' He repeated, looking guilty and concerned for the other male, heart aching at causing the look of fear on his face.

Bion felt the rush slowly die down. His body relaxed and his eyes returned to normal. Bion watched Saber's feet as he approached. He nodded along, biting his lip as Saber spoke. "I know that wasn't you. It was just..." He hesitated on which word to use, "Surprising." He met Saber's eyes at the end. It wasn't Saber's fault, he knew that, but he could feel a spike of fear meeting the other male's blue eyes. This was the danger of traveling with another person. He had forgotten it. "I'm fine. You can go into the temple. I'll wait here." He said, resiting the urge to bite his lip or look away.

Saber softly said, hesitantly raising his hand to touch the males cheek. 'I swear it upon my life.' He offered him a slight, nervous smile, before he took a deep breath and walked back to the temple. He steeled himself, allowed a sense of cold calm to wash through him, and stepped back inside. The feeling battered him again- he forced himself to ignore it, taking shaky steps towards the altar, and sinking to his knees, gritting his teeth, his body shaking from the effort. 'Lord Ares,' he began, taking deep breaths, 'I offer you my services to a task, for the small reward of the restoration of my lost memories.' ((Fancy being Ares? Gotta eat won't be long))

Bion nodded. "I know," he said in a hushed tone. He did know that Saber would never hurt him. He also knew he would have probably done the same if it was him. He would have turned around and shot at Saber. He didn't like that thought. "It wasn't your fault." He said as Saber entered the temple. The male stood up when Saber disappeared, leaving his bag and started to walk. He needed air to clear his head and a walk/run around the temple sounded perfect. Ares looked down at the...moral? Demigod? Those titles didn't seem to fit the praying man. Something was off about the man. Maybe it was the fact that he seemed to be resisting the urge to kill his friend, Apollo's son if he remembered correctly, outside. This man was strong and the God of war could appreciate that. He smiled as he thought about the task he could set these two on. Artemis had annoyed him the other day and there are some boars nearby that she had taken a likening to. "I will grant you some of your memories if you complete a task for me." Ares boomed. He knew his presence would get stronger now that he was speaking to the male. He just hoped the moral would be able to control his rage. Now that he had the idea in his head, he really wanted those boars dead. "You must kill four boars and bring them back. They reside in a clearing to the west." He withdrew before any questions were asked.

He clenched his hands into fists on the floor, straining to control himself and listen to the given task. He kept it in mind as he staggered to his feet, and slowly made his way out of the temple, making it down the steps and flopping onto his back, gasping for air. That had been unbearable- he'd never felt rage like that before, and he couldn't stand the way it had made him feel. He never wanted to feel like that again. He swallowed tightly and sat up on shaking arms, curiously wondering where Bion had gone so that he could tell him their quest.

Bion made is around the temple just as Saber was stepping, more like staggered, out. The man picked up his pace to a jog to meet him. "What happened? Are you okay?" He asked with a hint of worry. Saber didn't looked good. His face was too pale and he was shaking. Bion scanned the male's body for any wounds.
