"I suppose you don't remember anything else then." Bion said with a sigh. He found that he was sighing a lot now. The man looked around. The road got dangerous after dark and they defiantly weren't good enough to face anything. "Can you stand? We need to get to a town or an inn." He said.

The road got dangerous after dark and they defiantly weren't good enough to face anything. "Can you stand? We need to get to a town or an inn." He said. 'I'll try.' He amiably agreed, slowly starting to sit up, groaning low with pain. 'Gods, this hurts.' He mumbled, feeling a wave of dizziness. He managed to stagger to his feet, hair falling over his face.

Bion nodded, pleased with how his work was holding up and how Saber was holding up. "We will head to an inn and then later into the nearest city. We'll drop off my deliveries in the market and I'll see if I can find anything about you." He gave a small smile to the other male. "I doubt that many people would miss you." Saber was one to stand out now that Bion got a good look at him. He was sturdy and with those piercing blue eyes to set off the dark hair, Bion could only image the man would have some admirers. Putting those unhelpful thoughts away, he decided to do something useful. He collected his bag and slug it over his back. "Do you need any help?" He asked.

Bion looked away while under the other man's piercing gaze. Gods, this was strange. He thought as he started to walk back onto the main road. "Here is the rest of the bread." He offered, guessing Saber was hungry and knowing cheese wasn't good on a stabbed and empty stomach.

He offered, guessing Saber was hungry and knowing cheese wasn't good on a stabbed and empty stomach. 'Thankyou,' Saber repeated, graciously taking the bread and gently nibbling on it. He looked around, and the word 'Greece' appeared in his mind; he couldn't remember why he was here, however. Or how he'd even gotten here. 'Where are you from?' He asked.

Bion tensed put at the other man's question. The where did he come from question was always tricky. He was born to a small town with an Apollo temple. Many people didn't know of it because it was so small. "A small town near Volos." He said, not that the man probably knew of the city either. Then something slipped into his mind. Saber didn't know about Greece and he wouldn't say where he was from; what if he was some kind of spy for another country? Bion looked over at the man. That would also explain his wound. What would happen if they were caught? None of his Apollo skills would help in fighting or running. Bion looked away and bit his lip.

Bion could not return the smile. Gods, he wish he could. Saber smile seemed honest, but Bion couldn't get the nagging feeling that something was off. This man was just too...weird. And Saber did have a point. He was tired and in pain. Bion could outrun him or maybe even overpower him. He doubted the latter. So after fulfilling his promise to help the man for a day or so, they would split ways. Bion could find his next job and Saber could spy or do whatever he actually did. "Okay." The man said, both for himself and Saber. Bion could last a couple of days. He had a plan and everything; what could go wrong? He looked over at the other male. "So you truly have no memories, save for your name?" He asked, one black eyebrow raised.

('What could go wrong?' Famous last words x'D)
'Nothing.' He replied, pain appearing on his expression as he struggled to remember, the headache returning. 'It's like there's a blank... I just...' He seemed more distressed the longer he tried to remember.

The words that make everything turn for the worst. XP )
"That's fine." He reassured the other man quickly. It was better this way. The less he knew, the better. Bion had his own secrets and this man was entitled to his. Night was falling ss they neared the city and Bion quickly spotted an inn. It was dingy but all the traveler could risk with Saber. If Saber was in a fight lately, he would hate to draw attention or continue searching. Bion didn't know how much energy the man had left in him. He quickly hid his face under his black hood from his short traveling cloak. His bright green eyes could only be seen as he looked up at Saber. "I'll get us a room. You can follow or just stay here, but it might be better if you followed." Bion warned with a small frown, not wanting anyone to spot the weak man and think him an easy target.

Saber promised, not wanting to be alone, and already feeling a slight kinship to this man, haven been rescued by him, and allowed to join him. Saber's accent sounded strangely foreign, but was starting to adapt to the more Greekish accent.

Bion nodded and started to walk into the inn. As long as he keeps his mouth shut and eyes down, we should be fine, Boin decided as he entered. he had noticed the man's odd looks and odd accent but Saber was quickly slipping back into a more Greek accent. Not that Bion minded. He liked foreign accents yet they did draw attention. The inn wasn't packed, thankfully, and the people seemed to be keeping to themselves. He quickly found the innkeeper and started to pay for a room.
(Hmmm, what do you want to happen now? )

Perhaps something like the Minotaur, or a Manticore) Saber did however start to draw attention; his eyes alone were strange enough, bright, piercing blue on dark skin and hair. The inn keeper accepted payment, looking a little mesmerised by Saber, who bowed his head, noticing the gazes he was receiving. The moment they were away from the crowd he relaxed, and when they arrived at their room he sat on the bed with a sigh. 'That was strange.' He murmured.

Bion blinked at Saber's strange words. "Wht do you mean?" He asked sounding a bit confused. Nothing had seemed off about the inn. The innkeeper was staring, something Bion did not like, but with the two of them, it wasn't strange. As he waited for an answer, he set his bag aside and placed his dagger on the side table. It wasn't uncommon for thieves to come in.

'You're not like other humans, are you?' He asked softly. 'The way you cared for me... you know it without thinking. The art of healing.' (Ok Rolf's 'god power' is shapeshifting (and others, but those were taken off him when he was banished to earth.) He kept this one thing, and he can turn into either a tiny modern house cat, or a really huge 'Saber'-tooth tiger (*winknudgenudge*) other than that he's pretty barren of anything except this and a natural charm ahaha))

He huffed. Oh of course, Bion noticed. It just wasn't exactly odd. Saber looked pretty odd and out of place. No reason to be staring, but it was fair. Saber was a ahrd man to keep your eyes off of. Bion kept his eyes from meeting Saber's. He was already a bad liar without having to look at someone while doing it. "I was taught when I was young how to heal. It's how I make some money on the road." He said, dismissing the remark as nothing. This part was the truth. Pegged as Apollo's son from birth, he was trained in all the God's arts. He tried not to think of those times though. Instead, he continued the conversation, hoping to pull it away from him. "You should see the people that actually go to a school in Athens. They can patch anything up." He started to dig through his bag, making sure he had all of his supplies still and they were okay. "Those bandages will only last until the morning so just make sure to remind me before we hit the road again." He said looking up from his bag back at Saber.
(Lol. Saber's charm should make up for Bion's dislike of people and suspicion. I've been mulling over how much Bion should get from his dear o'dad. I kinda want him to have a moderate archer ability, a natural talent for healing, and pretty good at poem writing(which would be how he makes most of his money), but being horrible at music and lying. But perhaps he can be bad at making music/poems that actually relate to him and are good because all he writes for is usually nobles wanting to woo someone else.)

Saber was watching him with an intense gaze, and obviously had not missed the fact that Bion had both lied, and avoided his original question. 'I will remind you,' he agreed, sitting next to him. 'You're a demigod.' He finally concluded, recognising the scent. He said it as though it were something normal; he didn't oggle Bion like he was something special. In fact, his expression was simply interested. 'Who's are you?' He asked, tilting his head.

Well, the cat was out of the bag. Saber was apparently some weird demigod-sniffing guy, or just Bion was a bad lair. Bion was rooting for the first reason though. Bion shifted away a couple of inches before glancing at Saber's face. It was a relief that Saber just seemed interested and didn't want to touch him or have Bion bless him for something. Still, he didn't know what this would spell out for them and Bion held back the urge to run. Saber didn't seem like the type to take advantage of his powers but it was a fear that Bion would always have and he had a nasty habit of letting the fears consume him. "Apollo's." He said simply if not bitterly. His gaze turned sharp and he became taunt. "I was also born to Miranda Aelius if you wish to know, but I figure you're aiming for my godly portion. I figure now you would like to know what powers I inherited. Well, you are going to be disappointed. I just have some natural ability to fire a bow, patch up people, and write some poems. If you are looking for someone to use to become famous, I'm not your man." He regretted his bitter and sharp words a second later and sighed. If only Apollo had a silver tongue.

Saber replied, taken aback by the bitterness in Bion's voice. 'Why would I be looking for someone to become famous?' He then asked, shaking his head. 'I'm not some salivating fanatic, Bion. I have no idea how I even ended up in Greece.' He reminded him. 'I just feel like I have some innate knowledge that relates to the gods and their children.' He sat back, chewing his bottom lip. 'We should get some rest.' He eventually said. 'I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable in any way.' He smiled shyly, then moved to his own bed and settled down for the night. (I'm going to start the attack if that's ok? I'll make it a Manticore.) Saber woke but a few hours later, a foul stench clogging his nose. He wrinkled it and sat up feeling dread filling his chest; something was horribly wrong. He stood and walked over to Bion, gently shaking him away. 'Bion.' He hissed, before walking to their window and peering out. He gasped audibly as he saw a disgusting beast; a Greek monster; attacking the village. 'Manticore,' he said, then louder; 'Manticore!! Bion, wake up!!!'

Bion vision took a couple seconds to focus as Saber yelled. He growled at all the noise and ruckus. "What in the gods' names is going on?" He muttered. The man shuffled over to the window after seeing Saber so panicked about it. It took him a couple second for him to really believe his eyes. He had only hear of manticore and had never actually seen one. He had assumed they were just lions not seen right. Then he cursed under his breath. This is what could go wrong. I just tempted fate saying that and helping a weird man. He thought while getting on his boots and rest of his clothes. He tucked the dagger in his belt and picked up his bag. "We have to leave the area as fast as we can." He said. He wasn't sure how fast a manticore could go but if they left now, maybe they could leave without anyone noticing.

'It smelt us,' Saber hissed, understanding what had happened. He was injured; his godly scent paired with the stronger one of Bion must have drawn the monster here. He helped Biom grab his things and then ushered him out of the door. As they ran out of the building a man, screaming, flew past them and into a wall. The manticore was not far behind, sprinting at a tiny little girl, teeth bared and scorpion tail poised to strike. 'No!!' Saber screamed, sprinting immediately, without a second thought, towards the monster. As he ran he felt a surge of strength in his body; his limbs felt suddenly hot as though power were running in his veins- an innate need to jump... no. Pounce. As he leapt forwards his body changed. A sleek black pelt covered rippling muscles on a lithe body built for bringing down massive prey- huge, long fangs, as if the beast had daggers in its mouth instead of teeth- bright Amber eyes, pupils slitted. Darker black spots covered his shoulders, turning into stripes on his flanks. He landed on the back of the manticore, claws digging in, and bit as hard as he could. The monster screamed and bucked, knocking him off. He rolled painfully and staggered, looking shocked and confused at what had just happened. A wave of dizziness washed over Saber as his fever threatened to attack once more- the wound hadn't had time to heal, and his new transformation had sapped much-needed energy.

Bion froze as the townspeople and little girl ran by him. What was he suppose to do? For Gods' sake, the man he helped had just turned into a cat and was now tackling a manticore. If not for the fact that this was too real to be anything but reality, Bion would have thought this to be a dream. The son of Apollo had nothing with him. He could feel his whole body tugging him towards the forest. Every bone in his body was pushing him away from the fight. However, the man forced himself not to. Saber was something else. He was the first decent person Bion had met in a while. The cat-man thing didn't deserve to die. He unsheathed his dagger. It wasn't a bow or anything of the sort but it was all the man had. Throwing it might have not been the best plan but again, the only thing problem. Bion's pupils narrowed as he watched for an opening. He took a deep breath before flinging the sharp dagger towards the manticore's eye.

The ingrained accuracy of the sons of Apollo did not fail him; Saber yanked the Manticore back by the tail as the knife thudded solidly into its eye. The monster screeched loudly with pain, staggering backwards, tail flailing around dangerously close to Bion. Saber leapt forwards and pounced on the man, pinning him under his crouching body until the manticore was out of the way. He looked up, watching as it staggered a while more, before collapsing. It's body slowly turned to dust before their very eyes. Saber looked down at him, then all at once he was human again, sitting almost in Bion's lap, hands on his shoulders. 'That-' he started to say, then noticed their compromising position and quickly moved, pulling Bion to his feet. 'That was amazing.' He breathed. 'I've never seen accuracy like that before.' He then frowned. 'At least I don't think I have.' He shook his head, noticing the townspeople staring with shock, awe, relief and tears in their eyes as they began to clap. 'This is the part where we escape,' Saber said, gabbing Bion's hand and quickly running away, somehow haven now found strength through adrenaline. He stopped once they were in the woods and bent double, hands on his knees to catch his breath.

(I like to think that in scary situations their parents blood shows; but on any other day their skills are very moderate unless trained. For example, if he tried that on a target in a calm atmosphere, he'd either completely miss or just hit the outer rim- and Saber doesn't have the same strength without being trained for it)

Bion grinned when the knife made home in the Manticore's eye. However, the grin quickly disappeared when he saw the tail swinging towards him. Reflexively, the man closed his eyes and tensed. He did not expect something would push him to the ground and hold him there. He struggled for a second, fearing it had been the manticore, but his eyes snapped open to see cat-Saber. He glanced at the manticore, expecting it to be looming over them, but found the beast slowly disappearing into the air. He relaxed and even grinned. He looked back at cat-Saber, with wide eyes and a slightly agape mouth, which only opened more when the other cat-man turn into...well, a man. He register their interesting position and felt his ears turn red. Thankfully, Saber was quick to notice as well and corrected the position. Though, Saber's comments did nothing for his red ears, with his cheeks quickly turning into a similar shade of red. Says the man that can turn into a stinking cat and he thinks my ability to throw a dagger is amazing? he thought. Only when the townspeople clapped, Bion turned his attention away from Saber. The man tensed again. What was he suppose to do? Smile and wave? Again, Saber did Bion a favor and led the overwhelmed man away. Once under the safe shadows of the trees and undercover, Bion sighed and relaxed. He sat down with his back to a tree. Everything was still getting sorted in Bion's head. He was pretty sure everything was real back there, but he wasn't sure what happened. He didn't think battles went so...quickly and with so many bodies. It hadn't bothered him them, but the man at the start of the fight was flung. He heard a snap of bones breaking. He shook for a second before taking a deep breath. There was one thing he knew happened. Bion turned his green gaze on Saber. "So you can turn into a cat?" He asked.

Bion, being in literally only one fight before, has never really known he had above-average archery skills. He could use and bow and arrow, but he was like any other man. I also assumed Saber also gets a boast in strength and stamina. )

He gushed, sitting down beside the other male. 'The earth on my pads, the strength of my muscles, how swiftly I could move...' he breathed, then looked at Bion. 'And YOU...' he breathed, awe in his eyes again; 'you were amazing. You saved my hide, and you killed the Manticore.' Once he'd calmed slightly, he leaned back against the tree, slowly releasing a sigh. 'Wow... that was terrifying, but strangely exhilarating.'
